    i got some problem with using x-accel-redirect utility in Nginx.

    i have almost checked all the article online but still configure it out.

    the main problem i suppose is located in the nginx.conf file.

    the default content in the nginx.conf is quite simple,
    but i tried up the configuration posted online with no success.

    so i suppose the right way on my server might be related to the plesk,
    cauz it is intelligently installed by plesk.

    do you have any idea on this point?
    i really need some help, thx in advance.

    by the way, the default nginx.conf file is like:

    PRODUCT, VERSION, MICROUPDATE, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE
    Parallels Plesk Panel v11.5.29_build115130607.20 os_Ubuntu 12.04

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
    The problem is that if Nginx on, Apache [remote_addr] does not show client IP, instead shows its own (server IP).

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE
    1) Create any domain
    2) Put it in a Domain Document Root simple index.php file:

    ?php
    echo pre;
    print_r($_SERVER);
    echo /pre;

    6) Go from the browser to the address of the domain and see the values of the displayed variables...

    ACTUAL RESULT
    [REMOTE_ADDR] must show the address of the client, but instead it shows the server address.

    EXPECTED RESULT
    [SERVER_ADDR] as expected, shows the server IP address
    [REMOTE_ADDR] must show the address of the client
    Because of the disturbed many PHP scripts that actively use $_SERVER[REMOTE_ADDR]

    ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
    The same problem was on PLESK 11.09 but then the developers have corrected.

    Oh, I almost forgot. Silly me

    You will need to downgrade this package before next Plesk update. Otherwise you risk breaking the upgrade.

    Alternatively keep old libapache2-mod-rpaf package but replace just the module (.so file) from the newer package. That way youll avoid any problems on upgrade.

    DB:3.46:[Ppp-13673] New Ssl Certificate Produces Nginx/Apache Configuration Errors 31

    Recently had to replace an expiring SSL certificate which was linked directly to a dedicated IPv4 and IPv6 as its used for the servers hostname, imapd, smtpd and Plesk panel.

    1. Created the new certificate as usual: certificate + most recent PostiveSSL_Bundle as provided by the party that has always generated by certificates.
    2. Certificate is recognised as expected. No errors and: Domain Control Validated; PositiveSSL
    3. Marked the certificate for use by Plesk Panel.
    4. Changed the associated dedicated IPv4 address and IPv6 address in Tools Settings IP Addresses to use the new certificate.

    Once I then visit the Plesk Panel homepage Im confronted with the following warning:

    New configuration files for the Apache web server were not created due to the errors in configuration templates: nginx: [emerg] BIO_new_file(/usr/local/psa/var/certificates/cert-R9UoOq) failed (SSL: error:02001002:system library:fopen:No such file or directory:fopen(/usr/local/psa/var/certificates/cert-R9UoOq,r) error:2006D080:BIO routines:BIO_new_file:no such file) nginx: configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf test failed . ID 71 /var/www/vhosts/system/sonnet.inspyred.nl/conf/nginx.conf nginxDomainVhost

    How to properly fix this?

    Additional information:

    Earlier this week I already ran into this problem as the new certificate was generated back then. The first time I used the existing CSR to generate the new certificate and replace the previously existing certificate and CA certificates.

    I ended up with the exact same issue and decided to do the following:
    1. Follow the suggestions in the Nginx does not start after IP change knowledgebase article:

    You can fix the issue using the following commands:
    # /usr/local/psa/bin/reconfigurator --autoconfigure
    # /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all
    # /etc/init.d/nginx restart

    2. I ended up doing a couple of (graceful) restarts of httpd and nginx (and named at some point).
    3. I restarted the server.

    At that point the warning was no longer being displayed and everything seemed to work ok... Then I started getting emails from watchdog indicating that the Web Server (Apache) and Web Proxy Server (Nginx) were going down and coming up again every now and again.

    Weirdly I was unable to see the root processes go down or even the child processes get under 10 instances at any given time through my NewRelic monitor, nor did I receive any unable to ping warnings from Plesk, the datacenter or NewRelic, which I normally do get. Finally, this downtime was not mentioned in the Plesk Monitor iPhone app either...

    Because I didnt like the above ghost reports, I had the certificate reissued today, set the related IPs to the default cert, completely removed the old certificate and created a new request with a new CSR. Unfortunately, as stated above, the result is the same.

    Update: just had a look in /usr/local/psa/var/certificates/ and the file cert-R9UoOq, which is mentioned in the error, does not exist in that directory. The similar error that I had earlier last week also indicates a missing cert: cert-OHzYte. This file is not in the directory either.

    It seems that Plesk is either writing the certificate to the wrong directory/file or isnt at all able to write to the /../certificates/ directory.

    Based on the above premise Ive done some more digging and have come to a somewhat weird conclusion:

    Next to the faulty certificate that Im discussing here, Ive got two more real certificates that were created in the same way and are bound to their own dedicated IPs. After some comparing I found that the files cert-BrS7qJ and cert-m4yxa8 in the /../certificates folder contain the other signed/real certificates that are currently in use. While comparing I also looked at the most recent files created, and guess what: the contents of cert-Djpuzc is actually the new certificate in its entirety.

    A couple of things that are of note here:
    1. Why are the webservers looking for cert-R9UoOq while the file was saved by Plesk as cert-Djpuzc ?
    2. Two of the certificates have Access: (0400/-r--------) with user and group root. One of the working certificates has user/group psaadm - why is there a difference?
    3. Finally: I saw that based on the Plesk CSR this new certificate was issued as SHA2, while the older two are SHA1. Can this be an issue? (Guess not as the certificate does work perfectly well for the panel, just not for apache / nginx)

    As a temporary fix Ive done cp cert-Djpuzc cert-R9UoOq which allowed me to save and apply the configuration.

    Finally the details for the discussed files:

    New certificate that is causing issues and has the wrong name:
    -r--------. 1 root root 10262 Jan 12 21:28 cert-Djpuzc

    File: `cert-Djpuzc

    Hi,

    i migrated a Zend Framework based and subversion controlled project to an Plesk 11 controlled Server and have now some problems

    Because of Subversion and Zend Framework my document root moved from httpdocs to /projectname/public which shouldnt be any problem.

    Configuring the apache was no problem, since i read this nice hint:

    #IF YOU REQUIRE TO APPLY CUSTOM MODIFICATIONS, PERFORM THEM IN THE FOLLOWING FILES:
    #/var/www/vhosts/PROJECTNAME/conf/vhost.conf

    No the Project is running but with one huge Problem:
    While Apache accepts the vhost.conf where i set the new document root, nginx doesnt care about this, its still using httpdocs as the document root und therefore looking in httpddocs/css for the stylesheets etc. instead of /httpdocs/Projectname/public/css

    I guess i have to set up a nginx conf for this.
    But when i open nginx.conf there is only mentioned:

    I guess the problem is this line in the nginx conf:
    location /internal-nginx-static-location/ {
    alias /var/www/vhosts/PRJECTNAME/httpdocs/;

    but i am not sure.

    Another question which is bothering me:
    in /etc/nginx/nginx.conf is written: worker_processes 1;

    Hi, I have this server @ Amazon Ec2 instance.

    As possible solution create the file: /etc/nginx/conf.d/gzip.conf

    Enter the following:

    gzip on;
    gzip_proxied any;
    gzip_types text/plain text/xml text/css application/x-javascript;
    gzip_vary on;
    gzip_disable MSIE [1-6]\.(?!.*SV1);

    Then restart nginx in Plesk Services Management. Note that text/html doesn’t need to be specified with gzip_types (and in fact produces a configuration warning if you try). Once you set gzip on, nginx automatically assumes text/html as a gzip type.

    Today, ive set up a new Debian 7 server with Plesk 12. After the basic configuration, ive installed nginx via Plesk updater.

    Now, when restarting the whole server, nginx doesnt start for some reason. Plesk shows it as running, but `service nginx status` shows, that it isnt running. But an `nginx.pid` exists in /var/run, but its empty.

    However, starting it manually via `service nginx start` works fine without any error.

    Ive already tried `update-rc.d nginx remove update-rc.d nginx defaults` but without any success. Ive also tried another init script, but same results.

Also, when trying to view Awstats using the usual link - https://domainnamehere.com/plesk-stat - a Nginx 403 forbidden page is returned instead.

    Please can someone advise on this ?

    Ok, the Kbase quoted above - http://kb.parallels.com/111283 - specifies the location of the configuration files - which arent of any use in what Im trying to achieve which is to rebuild the Awstats.

    As mentioned, when managing a domain through the Plesk control panel, if the statistics option is changed from Awstats to none, it erases the logs which Awstats uses when combined with Plesk. So, if the statistics option is then changed back from none to Awstats, nothing historically is displayed.

    This Kbase - http://kb.parallels.com/en/115476 - is more relevant and having followed this Kbase, historical Awstats for the domain in question have now been restored.

    Im not sure, if it works and its not a wonderfull workaround... but it may help... ^^ :

    At /opt/psa/tmp you find the run-root.tar . In this tarball, you will find as well the named.conf.default where you have the option to insert your own custom directives. Editing this file and making your own run-root.tar afterwards, you might be able to replace the Plesk default named.conf, which is installed on every domain add / remove / edit over the Plesk Panel. Be aware, that it could be, that Plesk replaces the *.tar within a future update/upgrade and you will have to repeat this workaround in order to keep your own modifications for the special named config.

    Hi,

    I just upgraded 3 Servers from Plesk 11.5.30 to 12.0.18, with the following results:

    A virgin Server: No problem
    An older Server with Ubuntu 10.04: Various problems, needed help from my service provider
    A newish Server with Ubuntu 12.04: Went fairly well, except...
    That last server is running Nginx + PHP-FPM to execute PHP Websites. I admit that I have an unconventional way of doing things there: The location statement normally included by Plesk in Nginx-Config really does get in the way, it pre-empts other choices making it nigh impossible to create a good Nginx Config. So what I do is, I go to Web Server Settings and check Process PHP by nginx, causing a file to be written to /etc/php5/fpm/pool.d for the domain. I then copy that file, in the same directory with my_ prepended, then I uncheck Process PHP by nginx so that the Plesk-file is deleted and FPM restarted. Now Im running with my Nginx-Config - which of course also now serves PHP scripts, but the way I want, coordinated with all my other Nginx-Config - and FPM.

    I dont know whether my special way of doing things may be the problem, but after I had upgraded to Plesk 12, the symbolic links in the Nginx config directory /etc/nginx/plesk.conf.d had all vanished - you can imagine what THAT meant for my server. I got them to be regenerated by repeating the check/uncheck trick noted above, all was well... Until I did some other operation in Plesk - not sure which it was - and noticed that AGAIN that directory was empty. It hasnt happened since, and I have saved a copy of all the symlinks, in case it happens again. But it would be really nice if it just didnt happen...

    BTW In Plesk 11.5 the PHP-FPM Log was not being rotated and I had to create an own cron job to do that - can someone tell me if this is corrected in 12.0.18? Thanks!

    Cheers,

    PRODUCT, VERSION, MICROUPDATE, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE
    OS: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (x64)
    Plesk version: 12.0.18 Update #6

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
    The problem is that if Nginx on, Apache [remote_addr] does not show client IP, instead shows its own (server IP).

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE
    1) Create any domain
    2) Put it in a Domain Document Root simple index.php file:

    ?php
    echo pre;
    print_r($_SERVER);
    echo /pre;

    6) Go from the browser to the address of the domain and see the values of the displayed variables...

    ACTUAL RESULT
    [REMOTE_ADDR] must show the address of the client, but instead it shows the server address.

    EXPECTED RESULT
    [REMOTE_ADDR] must show the address of the client
    Because of the disturbed many PHP scripts that actively use $_SERVER[REMOTE_ADDR]

    ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
    The same problem was on previous versions, but then the developers have corrected.

    SNI needs openssl 0.9.8f or later to function.

    CentOS community says NO openssl 0.9.8f or later for CentOS 5.8 release/branch. 5.8 is the latest available in 5.x branch for CentOS. openssl 0.9.8e is the latest your going to get with CentOS 5.8

    Im told Upgrade to CentOS 6.x to use SNI.

    Also that, multiple browsers still dont support SNI, especially IE or WinXP users.

    You cannot modify files in plesk.conf.d - they will be rewritten on the next web server configuration re-generation. You can technically workaround this issue by using custom web server templates, but it will likely lead to issues in future upgrades.

    However, after reading nginx documentation solution seems really obvious. I cannot fathom why nobody came up with it yet.

    Hi all,

    I have some problems with Nginx (SSL and PHP session upload progress, to start..), I spent a lot of time searching to solve this problems, looks like Nginx is a little buggy with Plesk, and I think the short and easy way is to disable Nginx, but there is a problem with this too..

    When I stop Nginx service, all my domains produces default plesk page (exact this problem: http://kb.parallels.com/en/115806, This solution didnt help..)
    I cant keep Nginx disabled for long time to make tests because some domains cant be offline.

    I can bypass nginx using por 7080 (mysite.com:7080), but it produces the same default plesk page when nginx is disabled.
    I made a copy of apache virtualhost template to /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/templates/custom/domain/, and changed the port to 80, regenerated the config for a specific domain (--reconfigure-domain) , but didnt work, or I didnt right. I tried a copy of nginx template with a blank configuration too, but didnt work either (was just a shot)..

    Is there a way to stop nginx from listening to a specific domain?
    If I make it work with one domain, I can do it for all later, but first, I need to be sure.

    Ill appreciate any help, I need to stop nginx, there is always a problem with nginx that I need to solve..

    I cant say if they are complete, or even sensible, but things are happening there.
    The various Alias and other statements required for access to AWStats via Apache are contained in the Apache config file /var/www/vhosts/system/VHOST/conf/last_httpd.conf
    But no equivalent statements are generated in /var/www/vhosts/system/VHOST/conf/last_nginx.conf
    Can anyone tell me whats going on - have I missed something, is it not sensible to use AWStats on the nginx logs, is it sensible but not done yet... HELP!

    Cheers, Tim

    DB:2.96:No Access To Awstats Using Nginx 8d

    Now it works for me - I think Parallels added this section to the Plesk domain template for Nginx Vhosts:

    location ~ ^/(plesk-stat|webstat|webstat-ssl|ftpstat|anon_ftpstat|awstats-icon) {
    proxy_pass https://your-ip:7081;
    proxy_set_header Host $host;

    proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for;
    proxy_set_header X-Accel-Internal /internal-nginx-static-location;
    access_log off;
    }

    It may have been there already - I had some time ago forked a copy of that template and made a custom one, which meant that I was not getting any recent improvements from Plesk-Updates. Sadly, I have just had to do so again - this time to toughen up my SSL Modes and Ciphers against the Poodlebleed-Bug. Sigh... when oh when shall we ever have peace and stability on the net?!

    1. At times to provide various contractors (web developers) access to a specific domain. Access should allow them to connect to FTP, SSH, panel Plesk (database creation), phpmyadmin database specific domain.
    2. A couple of domains using subdomains with allocation a single user access to the directory with http-documents via ftp protocol for these subdomains (separate FTP account for a subdomain).
    3. A couple of domains that have web-users (Domains - Website - Owners of web pages). These users can upload documents via ftp.
    4. For 3 domains at / var / www / vhosts have a directory called shared, which is connected to these domains using symbolic links. Folder permissions - 755 for files - 644 for the apache user and group psacln.
    We need to keep the existing functionality after the upgrade. How do you recommend convert domain administrators and users when upgrading?
    And another question: I read the document http://kb.parallels.com/en/114598, which describes the problem after the upgrade, if you have previously installed nginx. Maybe it makes sense to me first remove nginx (previously archiving configuration files), and then update the panel and make changes to the configuration files after the upgrade?

    Version: 11.5.30 CentOS 5 115140407.17

    On CentOS 5 only, nginx is statically compiled by Parallels against a vulnerable version of OpenSSL:

    # strings /usr/sbin/nginx | grep configure

    configure arguments: --prefix=/usr/share --sbin-path=/usr/sbin/nginx --conf-path=/etc/nginx/nginx.conf --error-log-path=/var/log/nginx/error.log --http-log-path=/var/log/nginx/access.log --lock-path=/var/lock/nginx.lock --pid-path=/var/run/nginx.pid --http-client-body-temp-path=/var/lib/nginx/body --http-fastcgi-temp-path=/var/lib/nginx/fastcgi --http-proxy-temp-path=/var/lib/nginx/proxy --http-scgi-temp-path=/var/lib/nginx/scgi --http-uwsgi-temp-path=/var/lib/nginx/uwsgi --user=nginx --group=nginx --with-ipv6 --with-file-aio --with-http_ssl_module --with-http_realip_module --with-http_sub_module --with-http_dav_module --with-http_gzip_static_module --with-http_stub_status_module --with-openssl=/home/builder/buildbot/nginx-1.5.0-bcos5/build/nginx/work/openssl-0.9.8y --with-openssl-opt=enable-tlsext zlib no-idea no-mdc2 no-rc5 no-ec no-ecdh no-ecdsa no-shared -fpic

    The OpenSSL team states OpenSSL 0.9.8 SSL/TLS users (client and/or server) should upgrade to 0.9.8za. even though there has not yet been a demonstratable exploit if the server side (nginx being a server in this case) is not version 1.0.1 or 1.0.2-beta1. Parallels support and security team have rejected the OpenSSL teams recommendation and do not consider this an issue because no one has produced an exploit yet where the server is using 0.9.8, so they refused to either update nginx or release a dynamically linked version like what they do for the CentOS 6 version.

    So... if youd like to wait for an exploit to occur, youre in good hands with Parallels.

    Oh yeah, youre also going to fail PCI scans because of this.

    DB:2.92:Plesk + Nginx + Centos 5 = Vulnerable To Cve-2014-0224 33

    https://www.openssl.org/news/secadv_20140605.txt states OpenSSL 0.9.8 SSL/TLS users (client and/or server) should upgrade to 0.9.8za.

    OpenSSL Team says it should be upgraded even if being used as a server. Plesk Service Team disagrees. Thats all there is to this story.

    Why is it being statically linked to begin with? The nginx release for CentOS 6 in Plesk is dynamically linked, so when RedHat released a patch, we had the fix immediately, we didnt have to wait weeks or months for Parallels to get around to it.

    Well, Im using Plesk for several years now, and this was the first time a config file (other than the Plesk specific config files in the /conf.d/ directories) in /etc/ was hard replaced by an update. But sure, Ill be more careful now, as I now know, I cannot depend on that anymore.

    Edit: And btw: The nginx conf.d is only included in the http subcontext, so its not universal usable in this case, and some changes to the nginx.conf must be done in there. For example if you want to change the number of worker processes.

    different, but not completely different.
    They are both caching reverse proxies.....
    I thought you were still interested in using it as such.

    If you want Nginx as a replacement for Apache then I think you need to wait for that version 11
    It needs a complete overhaul of all the scripts that is in fact Plesk.

    Hello
    When Plesk 11.0.9 I had a domain with wildcards subdomains and all worked fine.
    And the update to 11.5 came ...

    Now I see that my blogs doesnot work (I need widcards because of them) : config file was changed by a misterious hand, and more: the wildcards does not work!!!. Well, I searched in forums and Google and I found two solutions

    1. Add ServerAlias *.domain.com in vhost.conf of the main domain. Bad: some domains works and some one dissapeared, they drive to the main page of the domain, It did look like this domain didnt exist!!!!. So I delete the line (ServerAlias) in vhost of the main domain.

    2. Second solution. http://kb.parallels.com/2239,
    I try this solution and ... every subdomain of my domain drives to the main page of the domain!!!!. Well, I delete the new domain ... and Apache cant start.

    httpd: Syntax error on line 211 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 5 of /etc/httpd/conf.d/zz010_psa_httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 70 of /etc/httpd/conf/plesk.conf.d/server.conf: Could not open configuration file /etc/httpd/conf/plesk.conf.d/ip_default/mydomain.com.

    So I rebuild the symlink with an older conf file and restarted Apache. I tried this solution twice. But the result was the same (of course): subdomains dissapeared and error after delete *.mydomain.com

    But, now it is working, how? why? I dont know but it is working. I looked for a config file whith a ServerAlias for *.mydomain.com, but I didnt find it. I would like to have an explanation, I need to know why it works

    In other domain with just 2 subdomains this solution works fine.

    -------
    I created a service plan and selected roundcube as webmail. webmail.tld.com correctly showed the roundcube webmail.

    Then I changed to horde webmail in the service plan.
    But now webmail.tld.com is not found (404) and the /etc/httpd/conf/plesk.conf.d/webmails/horde directory is empty.

    I have tried /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all
    but the error remains.

    I have also tried changing back to roundcube webmail, but still 404 and /etc/httpd/conf/plesk.conf.d/webmails/roundcube is empty.

    Regards
    Christian

    DB:2.79:Installing Pagespeed For Nginx: Ngx_Pagespeed kf

    Ademi,
    As per install guide, the module comes as source package for Nginx. So it has to be compiled with Nginx:
    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/module/build_ngx_pagespeed_from_source

    One can do this with Plesk Nginx. However, after Nginx re-installation, the admin must manually specify settings like logrotation, init scripts, default config values - same as in Plesk Nginx.

    DB:2.75:Plesk Does Not Reload Nginx Vhost Config: Domains Show Default Page kj

    Hello,

    we are running Plesk 11 with Apache and Nginx reverse proxy.
    The server hosts several domains, owned by several clients.

    When a client logs into his panel and either adds a subdomain, either creates a new domain, either changes a folder or a password, all the domains on the server show the Default Parallels page, and no content is accessible any more.

    The only way to resolve this is to stop Nginx from Plesk, and then start Nginx again (restart will not do it).

    Our idea: when a client changes some settings, Plesk changes the Apache vhosts config.
    But it looks like Plesk does NOT also reload Nginxs vhosts; this could be the reason why Nginx returns the Default Parallels page because it find incompatibility between the vhosts.

    Plesk reloads Nginxs vhosts config only when Nginx is stopped and then started again.

    How can we get Plesk reload Nginxs vhosts together with Apaches ones?

    Do you think this could be the solution to our issue?

    Thanks in advance for your help and patience.

All of his customer domains are set up to use the shared IP address. Non-https domains work fine under this configuration. However, when trying to set up SSL, I found that nginx receives requests on the private IP, not the public one. This obviously doesnt work, since Plesk sets nginx up to listen for incoming requests on the public ip.

    DB:2.70:Plesk 11.0.9 Issues With Nginx On New Install zf

    Hi all, Im having some issues with nginx on a new install of 11.0.9 on Redhat. I used the autoinstaller script and I believe nginx is causing strange behavior.

    When nginx is enabled and I create a new site with a dedicated IP, it causes the default SSL to use the SSL from the new site creation.

    When nginx is disabled it causes every site on the server to show the default Plesk page.

    How can I either fix the SSL issue or get rid of nginx completely without breaking every site?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    we have two identical servers with Plesk 11.0.9 (RHEL 6.4).

    We discovered that one of them, for no apparent reason, upgraded itself to nginix 1.5 (from 1.3) on June 16 2013 around 4:13AM GMT+1.

    This is the log from yum:

    Updated sw-nginx-1.3.0-1.12122721.rhel6.x86_64 @NGINX_1_3_0-dist
    Update 1.5.0-1.13060711.rhel6.x86_64 @NGINX_1_5_0-dist

    And this is the log from the action log of Plesk:

    127.0.0.1 admin [2013-06-16 04:13:15] Plesk component upgrade (Plesk component name: nginx = nginx)

    1) Why this has happened? nginx for Plesk 11.0.9 must be 1.3 as far as I know
    2) How we can downgrade nginx to the stable 1.3 ?

    Thanks in advance.

    DB:2.70:Plesk 11.0.9 Auto Upgraded Nginix To 1.5 9d

    Im not 100% sure, but I would expect to see nginx 1.5.0 in Plesk 11.0.9 some time in the future, after it is tested on Plesk 11.5 users. tested being in quotes since I believe it is quite stable already.

    nginx supports http etags since v1.3.3 (not stable release!):
    http://nginx.org/ru/docs/http/ngx_http_core_module.html#etag

    you can either build nginx from sources and update binaries OR you can wait for Nginx 1.3.3 update in Plesk.

    I have a nginx server set up on my desktop and multiple clients on the same network (they are all on the same 900 MB WiFi connection). On the server is a file of a few gigabytes that the clients can download.

    On the server, if I wget localhost/filename, I get speeds around 850 MB/s (this is on a SSD with about 500 MB read and write). If, on the server, I wget 192.168.1.x/filename, I still get around 850 MB/s. However, if I wget 192.168.1.x/filename on one of the clients, I get speeds between 3-7 MB/s (close to my Internet upload speed of 5 MB/s). What can be causing this?

    The config for the virtual host I am using is
    listen 80;
    server_name ...;
    include conf/gzip.conf;
    location /
    {
    root /srv/http;
    index index.html;

    I took a better look at this yesterday, but didnt update the post as that may have been considered necrobumping. scp and sftp also give me the same speeds.

    Iperf gives me an average of around 5-30 Mbits/s. Right now I just got 10, often I get around 24, once it went all the way to 27.

    Hi SalvadorS,

    It depends on your servers hardware specs and what kind of services are attached to your domains (php websites, coldfusion, tomcat, mail with antispam/antivirus, etc).
    In general, it is quite normal to have several hundreds domains on single Plesk.

    apaches mod_php gets the wrong server port when using nginx: 7080 instead of 80, so every php script depending on the correct port wont run.

    i tried editing /opt/psa/admin/conf/templates/default/domain/nginxDomainVirtualHost.php and added $server_port:
