    This expression should get you want you need. It calculates the date for the first of the next month and then extracts the month name and the year from it. This will help you when you get to a new year, as well.

    Hi,

    Similar quesitons have been asked and answered but I am not exactly sure what the resolution is.

    I am currently on a month contract with Voda on an iPhone 3GS and just bought a unlocked iPhone 4S. So my question is, how do I get a SIM for the 4S?

    You can purchase sim cutters from ebay, or can I go into vodaphone and will they be able to cut the SIM or will they be able to swap my account from the normal sim to a mico SIM?

    Obviously I would prefer the latter but wanted to be sure its an option.

    I negotiated a monthly discount of £2.50 when I took out my 12 month SIM only contract basically getting myself an extra 500MB of data for free. At the end of 12 months what happens? The discount ends. What else ends? Nothing. They still provide the service in terms of minutes, texts and data, they still charge me but they don't apply the discount.

    So if this is a fixed 12 month contract cut me off after 12 months and charge me nothing or if this is a minimum 12 month contract roll the whole arrangement on so I get the same deal month on month till I commit to another contract. Don't be petty about the discount only being for the 12 months (if only because that wasn't mentioned at the time I took it out)

    I hope you think you're clever Vodafone getting your £2.50 back. Fact is I'm happy with my current phone and was very happy with the contract and planned to let it run on indefinitely. Now you made me look around for new deals and I'm certainly not going to only look at your deals. You've made yourself look small time guys. Very sad

    On 23rd June I changed from (Vodafone) pay-as-you go to £9 monthly payments.

    I had £21 credit transferred over from my pay-as-you-go SIM on that date and was told that the first two months would not be taken from my account, and the 3rd month I would only pay £6 as opposed to £9: £9 x 2 = £18 and the extra £3 to come off the 3rd month = £6.

    I attempted to ring 191 but was told to key in a four digit code or PIN. I don’t have one.

    I went onto the live chat online on the Vodafone website and spoke to somebody who clearly had not read my query as I had to repeat it to her. She then put me through to billing, who rang me for approximate 10 seconds then cut the call off. They have not rung back.

    The £21 credit does not show and I was billed for the first month and no doubt will be billed for the 2nd month and for the full amount on the 3rd month, despite being £21 in credit.

    And just to add to the stupidity, my account details on line told me that I had not verified my account by clicking the link in the email - yes I had. I then requested a 2nd email to activate - clicked it and got an error message saying "unfortunately your request cannot be processed". This just gets better and better.....

    I shall be asking advice from Trading Standards if I don't get some assistance about this. Seems a great way to fiddle new customers who are coming over from pay-as-you-go to monthly payments, when they have credit.

    Not sure what you mean by that, but my instinct is to say no, the cutoff date does not get "added up to the duration". I would say that the duration starts at the next occurance of the day specified in the cutoff date. Or you could say that the cutoff date is a mask that is applied to the base date (or event date) before the duration is added.The cutoff date provides a specific point in time from which the duration will start. For example if you use a calendar year cutoff (ie an annual cutoff with a date of December 31) then all of the records with this RP with a base date (or event date) in 2005 will start their duration at December 31, 2005. All of the records with this RP with a base date (or event date) in 2006 will start their duration at December 31, 2006.     Eventually managed to call them on the mobile of a family member. Long story short, they are now sending me the new SIM.

    My question is - will they add back the days that were impossible to use? As it was their fault that I couldn't use the contract, due to incorrect SIM?

    My 311 purchased in Oct end -Nov 2012 reciept misplaced, statred using phone only in Feb.2013 when I got Sim.

    Worked fine till 18 Sept.2013 that is about 8 months and then suddenly phone switches off .When sim inserted phone switches off and does not start. When Sim, removed it starts fine and except for phone all other apps work fine.Gave the phone to Nokia Care Jabalpur.They tested it for one month and returned saying mother board damaged and Data loss and cannot be repaired.

    Is there any possibility of repair in India? Or can Nokia exchange my device?

    You could try contacting another repair centre in India to see if they can help but chances are it is now beyond repair. If you feel that they are wrong and are certain it has not been dropped or exposed to any moisture (including sweat and steam) then you need to contact Nokia India directly and submit a complaint.

    It's not the device it's you account not resetting correctly. You need to call customer service on 150 from your device or 44 7953 966250 from a landline

    as the phone will be coming with a new nano sim and a new number, do I ring customer services once I have the phone to get my old number transferred?

    Ive just received a replacement sim (changed phone so needed a diff size sim) ive popped the sim in my phone but it will not register to the network so right now im unable to receieve the txt with the pin code which allows me to activate the sim. Ive checked that the sim in inserted correctly several times. The phone shows EE networks 2G, 3G and 4G as available and ive selected all 3 but the sim wont register to any of them, any ideas? I can do nothing with my old sim due to it been cut off the second i ordered the replacement!

    Sulit ung pag settle ko ng disconnected wimax. Sobrang bait pa ng nagdeliver at nagkataon na kamag anak niya ung kakilala ko at naituro kagad ung bahay namin.

    Naging problema ko lang is ung activation ng sim. Pag kakuha ko ng sim parang wala lang, hindi ko alam ung sim # ko, credit limit at ung cut-off date. Sana katulad sila ng smart na after ilang hours ng activation tatawagan ka para iwelcome at iprovide ung mga dapat mong malaman sa account mo.

    I've spent over an hour on the phone to your customer services. I have been told I am being passed to the unlocking department, but after over half an hour on hold each time, I get cut off. I don't want to waste more time on the phone, so hoping I can get some support here.

    I upgraded to a 12 month SIM only deal with EE from my expiring Orange contract, keeping my existing phone - an iPhone 5 - and phone number. Customer Services were very helpful and told me that it should be a quick and seamless transition, with the service automatically switching over.

    The SIM arrived yesterday and I swapped it for my old Orange one. The phone shows 4G signal, but states that I need to activate the iPhone. It then tells me that my SIM is not valid and gives the following error message:

    "The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned byt the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier."

    When I tried swapping back to my Orange SIM, it no longer picks upany signal.

    How can I resolve this? I presume thatEE need to unlock the phone, but as I can't actually speak to anyone in that department due to my calls being disconnected each time, is there another way to do it without filling in a form and paying £20 and waiting three days for the privilege...?

    Well about 2 months ago I bought a new iphone 4 which fell into a drink about a month ago. Annoyed I bought a Blackberry and renewed my contract with it. However, a few days ago I got a new iPhone and when I tried connecting and activating it on itunes with my sim card it doesn't give the option to activate it. Any ideas on how to activate or do I need to go to an ATT store?

    You did Apple's out of warranty or not covered under the warranty repair, which pays for an exchange.

    Since you activated a Blackberry, you can't use the no longer activated SIM card from the iPhone that was exchanged and unless the Blackberry includes a micro-SIM card, you can't use that SIM card either - not unless you cut it down manually, so stop by an ATT corporate store tomorrow to get a new micro-SIM card for the iPhone where you can have the iPhone activated as well.

    I called up t mobile this evening to leave and was offered "better deals"

    I was on hold for 20mins and the line said "open til 10" along with the music on the soundtrack. Then when I was connected and considering different deals I was rushed into making a decision as when I got put through at the end I was told, we get cut off soon as it's soon after 8.

    I was offered amongst other things £90 up front for iphone 5S with price plan 25 to 28 pounds a month 16gb, 4gb/month with unlimited texts and calls and then offered an upgrade of £37 for iphone 5s at £34/month for the same storage. 4gb month and calls/texts allowance

    I felt very rushed into the decision being told you have to decide now or the line will cut off for the deals

    I want to change from

    £37 for iphone 5s at £34/month for the same storage. 4gb month and calls/texts allowance (incurance separate)

    to £90 up front for iphone 5S with price plan 25 to 28 pounds a month 16gb, 4gb/month with unlimited texts and calls (insurance separate)

    I tried to call back straight away and lines are closed and tried to find a place to email. I have been a loyal customer to t mobile so far

    I've been with vodafone for over 8 years now and never had a problem. Last month i received a large bill and only 3 days ago paid a part payment and agreed to pay the rest off at £50 per week. I was wondering however, if it would be possible to reactivate this "expired" SIM.If not, is it possible to purchase just a new SIM card, without the phone? And if so, how would I go about doing that?

Unfortuantly ATT does not reactivcate simcards, you will ahve to get a new one, this can be done at any local store at a cost fo $25 per card with or without the phone that will be used, however if you can get your hands on a temp phone and go A Local Corporate Storethey will most likely provide you a new unused simcard for free with activation done there in store with them.

    I bought the LG Google Nexus 4 on Tuesday and everything was working fine. I was texting and browsing the web all day with no problems. Last night i was texting my boyfriend when suddenly I received a notification saying, "please restart your phone with a valid sim card", and since then, I have had absolutely no signal. It was a very random message and I have restarted my phone and taken the sim out and back in but this has not helped. I still have no signal today. I have not missed my bill payment and i have checked this on my account.

    I have tried contacting o2 via live chat but i keep getting "sorry we are closed right now opening times are from 5am - 11pm" yet it is 6:22am at the moment...

    I can't take the battery out as it is a built in one like the iphone is. I'm on a 24 month contract with micro sim and i have done a network coverage check but it is not showing that there are any problems with signal around my area. The phone seems to be fine, it has not been dropped or anything and my wifi is fully working.

    any help would be great..

    Definately try to get to an O2 store. They can programme youa new sim, in minutes, and if that doesn't work it's "yes I'd love a new handset please". Don't let them fob you off, threaten to cancel the contract completely if they try to.

    1. By dialling *143#. Follow and select the appropriate choice.

    2. Downloading the GServices app on Play Store for Android and App Store for iOS. Enroll your mobile number and verify it. Once verified you can view your account balance and the due date.

    3. Calling 211 and following the voice prompt for checking account balance.

    4. Creating an account at account.globe.com.ph. Enroll your mobile number and verify it. Once verified, you can fully use the self-service options at the menu.

    Dashboard - An overview/summary of your account.

    Plan Usage Meter - Tracker of your account balance, data usage, sms and call tracker

    Bill Statement - PDF file of your account statements for the one year duration which you can easily view or download for your perusal. You can even print directly when you need a hard or printed copy.

    You do have to give 30 days notice to cancel or change your contract to Pay As You Go, even if you are out of commitment. You can do this either in writing or via email.

    Having been a customer with orange for around 5 years, I migrated to EE on a sim only deal.

    I rang 150 sorted my deal out set up a DD. This was in November.

    Today My phone has been cut off and my account says I owe £60+ for a sim only deal that costs £18 a month basic.

    I set the direct debit date for the 17th because I get paid on the 15th.

    So the phone has been cut off, I cannot even ring 150 (this is a disgrace in itself, how is anyone meant to speak to CS?)

    At one point EE took some money from me in Dec, all of £6. So when I get paid im going to have to shell out £60+ to get my service back.

    Whos fault is this? Why has this happened? I cannot speak to CS because my phone has been cut off.

    Just to confirm, when I look at my online banking, there is a section in the direct debit part of my account and there is 100% a DD set up with EE T-Mobile.

    Any help?

    I bought a new iPad Air 2 on Saturday 25th October and visited THREE EE shops to try and get hold of a nano sim (my old iPad micro SIM won't fit)

    None of them had any in stock.

    So I ordered a new nano SIM through the website on Sunday 26th and am still waiting.

Obviously worried, I got on here to speak to an agent in the live chat (which took days and days of trying before someone was "available" btw) and the agent told me that if I simply topped up by calling (ironic right?) a number or going into the store then my number would be reactivated.

    I went into the store to get them to top me up only for the employee to tell me that the number was gone and that was that. This gets me to my issue. I was never made aware of the fact that my number was going to be cut off and that a top up was needed. I feel like I should of received a text or something to let me know that "Hey, you might wanna top up before we deactivate your number" but I didn't. Nowadays when almost every phone has WiFI and various apps for messaging and calls it's a bit ridiculous that your number gets cut off for not topping up every 90 days. Secondly, the live chat agent said a top up would reactivate my number however they 'couldn't' do anything in store? Lastly, I had been extremely active on my MY METEOR account online where I was using webtexts and whatnot right up until it got cut off?

    This number is my primary contact detail and has been used very recently as a contact detail for myself and all I want is to have that number up and running again.

    My question then I guess is, is there anyway for my number to get registered back onto the network? Can I call and get them to top up my account thus reactivating my number like the agent said It would? If I got a new sim could I get that sims number changed back to my previous number? It hasn't been given to anyone else as far as I'm aware so I don't see why there'd be an issue.

    If Cap 1 sold the debt to the CA you can try a goodwill letter (or a few) and ask if they will delete. The TL should be reporting a 0 balance and they will not be notified if you pay the CA because they no longer own the debt.

    Since the CA is the one that owns it the PFD would go to them.

    Hi i have an iPhone 4 which has always been unlocked- i bought it from Apple shop and it has never been affiliated with any network. I first had a T Mobile Sim which worked fine and more recently an Orange sim. The Orange SIM was a regular SIM which i cut down to size of a micro sim and it has worked fined in my iphone for last few months.

    however orange were getting to expensive so i got a sim only deal from Vodafone, thinking i could again cut the sim so it would work in my iphone 4. i used a proper cutter which i got off the internet and i havent damaged the gold bit or anything in any way- its excatly the same as the orange sim which works fine.

    but the vodafone sim has no network and wont work!. the iphone registers that theres a sim in the phone and i have contacted vodafone who have said the sim is registered with their network so should be working but it isnt. there is just no signal and it doesnt come up and say Vodafone, like it says Orange when i put the orange sim in

    any ideas as to what i can do to get it to work?!

    I asked in store about adding a shared sim (for my tablet/mifi) to a Sim-only 12-month contract and was told 'no problem' an additional £7/month if you take it for the full 12 months or £8/month if you take it on a 1-month contract. Great, I think, and then go ahead and sign up for a 10GB/Unl/Unl SIM deal £27.99/month for 12 months.

    Bloke in shop then tries to add shared SIM to the plan - only to be told that the 12 month sim only contract plan that I was now on did not support it. He phones customer service, they say its not supported. Bloke in store promises to fix it and contact me. I leave store.

    No phonecalls from store all day.

    I Contact EE customer services, with the aim of either getting the shared sim added, canceling the deal, or switching to a 2GB/Unl/Unl deal @ £15.99/Month

    No Joy cant add the shared SIM, wont cancel the contract, wont switch me to cheaper contract

    So.. I now have 10GB of ruddy data on a phone that I will NEVER EVER EVER USE. On my phone, I use max 1GB/month. On my tablet, I use 5GB+. I have no way of getting out of the contract since it is a 'renewal' and therefore has no 'cooling off period'.

    Aye, I know I can tether the tablet, but thats not why I bought a ruddy LTE enabled tablet at a premium. I bought the LTE tablet specifically because I find tethering to be very slow/unreliable.

    So... for anyone looking to do the same - ITS NOT SUPPORTED. shared SIM deals ONLY work on 24 month contracts that include a handset. Not that the guys in the shop will tell you this.

    Currently feeling ripped right off by EE.

    About to cancel my other contract with them and switch it to three, and in 12 months time when I can get out of this rip-off pound;27.99 sim-only deal, I will cancel that and shift that to three as well.

    EE are a total joke!

    As long as you have not gone past your cancellation date you don't have to 'reactivate' you would just have to add minutes ... it depends on what type of prepaid plan you have as well. You would only have to change your number if you've gone past your cancel date. If thats the case (which it doesn't sound like it), you would have to buy a sim card for 25.00 + tax at any att storeWith a pick your plan your cancel date is 90 days after your airtime expiration date. The payment would be your full monthly payment + tax of course.With a pay as you go plan its 60 days after the airtime expiration date. The payments on this type of plan start at 15.00 + tax and can go up to 100.00 + tax.The blackberry pearl 8110 is an awesome phone. Just keep in mind with prepaid any data device will not work properly. Att only guarantees voice .... data phones require special data plans, ie blackberry plans for this type of phone, to be able to access and use features such as internet and picture messages.

    Dear Vodafone,

    My account was due to be cut off on 4th December after giving my notice to leave at the end of my contract at the beginning of November and receiving my PAC code.

    I didn't use the PAC code in the end (opting to keep the new number provided by the new network) and so called a few days ago to see if I needed to do anything else with Vodafone for cancellation because of this.

    The woman I was initially speaking to said that I hadn't given my 30 days notice and the contract would expire in January. Obviously this was incorrect as I had given my notice on the 4th November. She put me through to someone else who confirmed from the notes on the account that this was the case -- giving me the cut-off date on 4th December.

    However, the 4th December has passed and this sim card is still active. Can someone please look into why this is the case as I will not be paying for a 25th month on the contract.

    It can take approx 1 third of a yonk if you sit there looking at it,stick your phone on charge for a bit a leave it and you will be up and running quicker than you can say "Hi Galaxy".

    Ok, this has been a real nightmare. I am an extensive user of BB since OS4. Wanted to try the new Z10, so I got myself a spanking new one. With my prior experience in switching devices, it would be a cinch. Transfer device over via blackberry desktop software, change the emails via BIS, and I'm all sorted out.

    OMG dear blackberry. You made me jump through so many hoops I felt like a circus dog.

    Blacberry desktop doesn't work with the Z10. No one told me. I had to find out the hard way after not being able to detect the phone. wasted half an hour of my life. Downloaded Blackberry link. Transferred my contacts and everything over, couldn't be happier.

    Hurrah, thought the nightmare was done. It was just starting.

    Micro sim. Not everyone has a microsim cutter lying around. Great. Troop off to the shop. Figured after I get the sim cut, I could also transfer the emails via BIS server. So that's what I did. (oh by the way, having to buy a micro SD card was also a pain in the A but still acceptable). The BIS server detected the change in device so it disabled my emails. No problem. Until the technician told me at the store-sorry-BIS DOESNT WORK WITH Z10. Whaaaaat? Come on blackberry! Now its just normal emails, similar to that of iphone and samsung. Emails were your best feature. Ok, this I can stomach. What I cannot stomach is...blackberrry, you just killed your frequent traveller who needs international roaming. BIS emails and BBM was wonderful. I could get by travelling from country to country on 50mb a month unlimited. Apparently not anymore. I need a full fledged international roaming plan that will cost me an arm and a leg. This is insane.

    Finally I had the Z10 working. I manually entered all my emails. ( i have 9 emails. Thank god they are all gmail based, especially for work, if not I would have ripped all my hair out). For the whole 2 hours, I looked at it and hated it. It was hard to use, I had to keep swiping up and to the right, sometimes it wouldn't swipe well, sometimes I couldn't tell if it was swiping or not. Neither did it help that Whatsapp hasn't even been sorted out on the Z10. Whatsapp is my life. My family's on it. My friends are on it. My suppliers and my customers are on it. Oh wait. Z10-well, you can download it from the appworld, but it doesn't install. Thinking it was a problem with the downloads, I kept at it..only to have the technician tell me, "sorry, Whatsapp not working on Z10, too bad"...anyway I made up my mind to go back to the Torch. So thinking it would be as simple as changing the hub ID on the Z10 and then reactivating the Torch. All will be well. Wrong.

    I had to run to another tel shop to beg for a spare sim shell so I could stick the micro sim into it and have it back as a normal sim. Another 2 hours of my life later, I realise-changing the hub ID on the Z10 doesn't change anything. It doesn't mean you can just use the original hub Id and all systems are go on the first phone. Changing the hub ID means changing the original one. Argh. This was so frustrating especially when the BIS server refused to switch back to the old device. Ever clicked on detect device 200 times? Well that would be me. Eventually I figured it out. Change back to the old hub ID, security wipe the horrible thing, log in with the original hub ID and reset the device via BIS server. Finally, order is restored.

    Which leads me to my question. I am thinking of porting over my contact list and data to the Z10, and using it as another phone in another country. However I want to use a different Id from my Torch since it is considered a different device but with the same data. Will blackberry link allow me to do this, or will it only switch the data provided the hub ID is the same?

    Blackberry, hand over heart, I'll use the Torch till it dies ( I just changed out the nav pad cause it was completely worn out and would act wonky in sunlight- I call it the blackberry vampire version) and after that I'm off to another smart phone platform. You've made my life miserable. It was great while it lasted, but I'm going to be migrating to another platform eventually. Thanks for the memories.

    OK. Well, there's one thing wrong with your premise...contacts and data are not technically associated with your BB ID (at least not directly). Rather, they might be associated with your BIS account on your pre-BB10 BB, which, for pre-BB10, migrated from device to device by migrating the BIS configuration when you logged into the new device with the same BB ID. But, technically, the contacts and data are not directly associated to the BBID.Since BB10 does not use BIS, then nothing about BIS is relevant to the BB10 device. If you log into, on the BB10 device, the same BB ID, all you will get is the ability for location information from the Protect website...backups don't yet work via Protect for BB10. Your AppWorld prior records will migrate, but they of course will only be useful for apps that are ported to BB10. Other than that, there's pretty much nothing that will migrate to your BB10 device by virtue of using the same BB ID.So, what I'd recommend is not even attempting to use BB ID for any of this. Rather, get your data (contacts, calendar, etc.) into a compatible medium...Outlook, another compatible desktop PIM, an OTA source (e.g., Outlook.com), or something else. Then configure your devices to interface with that and synchronize the contact/calendar data accordingly. For BB10, I recommend Outlook.com as I found it to be the easiest to interface to all of my various devices/platforms.Unless of course I do not yet understand fully your current/desired configuration...if I am mistaken, then please clarify (e.g., the data sources, server sources, device models, etc.).
