Outlook 2010 - meeting request received, is not showing up in Outlook inbox. The new mail icon blinks briefly and the meeting dissapears, it does appear as tentative in the calendar, however does not give an option to accept/decline.
OWA works fine, and the meeting request also shows up fine in BB.
No rules in outlook that affects this either.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?
    Update:
    tried outlook /cleanreminders - didn't help.
Other reminders works, like the meeting task reminders, just the initial meeting acceptance pop up is missing.
The meeting can be accepted / declined by going into the calendar where the meeting shows up as tentative (as expected).
This behaviour is on multiple machines (home/work) both exhibiting the same behaviour.

You may have other underlining issues, however I strongly belives, that part of your problem can be attributed to the fact that your runing two copies of Outlook. It's really critical to do a clean install. You can go through the process of un-installing 2010 and use 2007, however you still may have issues. If you really, want to use Beta I would un-install Office 2010 and Office 2007 in that order then rebot, and then re-install 2010. I think you'll notice things will work more smothly.

    1) I have disabled all rules (she did have one forwarding emails to an external gmail account), but that did not resolve the issue.
    2) Her MailboxCalendarSettings AutomateProcessing is set to AutoUpdate.
    3) Her Outlook profile is set to NOT automatically process meeting requests.
    4) I sent a meeting request to the manager and it ended up in the admin's Inbox, but did not move to the Deleted Items folder.
    5) This problem occurs whether the admin is invited to the meeting or not.

Current theory - Outlook 2010 sees the admin, as the organizer of the meeting requests, and automatically process the meeting, before deleting it.
Does this make sense or is there some other more likely scenario?

    Simon,
Had the test users invite their manager and send one test with the admin invited and one with the admin not invited. The meeting requests that came back from the manager stayed in the Inbox and did not go to the Deleted Items folder.
This chucks my theory that it was just because she was the organizer.

Is there an option to propose a new meeting time as the organizer of a meeting?
I mean, instead of just changing the time and having the other users accept/decline.

DB:2.77:Propose New Meeting Time As Organizer (Outlook 2010) dx

The purpose of the Propose New Time feature is to propose a new time to the organizer, because theoretically the organizer knows the requirements for the meeting time. It sounds like what you're proposing is that the organizer user the function to ask
the attendees if a new time works...which is in essence what you do each time you send a meeting invitation.
After you issue a meeting invitation, you still have access to the Scheduling Assistant page that shows the attendees' availability and to the Room Finder that suggests times that attendees and resources are available. This might be the best option.

    DB:2.77:How Can I Create A Outlook 2010 Rule s8

That type of rule is not possible in Outlook. In order for a rule to run on a resource, you need to login to the resource mailbox and create the rule. Then it needs to be a server side rule since you won't be leaving outlook open.

If you mean you want to create a rule in your outlook that says "when room1 is a resource, send message to .... " then a run a script rule would do it.. except Run a Script is not an option for sent messages. You'll need to use VBA instead. (The Exchange

We're having a problem that Outlook 2010 will not exit properly when Lync 2010 is installed. We've traced it down to the Online Meeting Add-in. When the add-in is enabled in Outlook, Outlook will not close properly. Instead, the Outlook icon in the system

    Hey Folks-
I checked related threads on this forum and none are exactly the issue we are having.

Three of our administrative assistants started experiencing this issue on the same day. As far as we know, no changes were made to the user's Outlook profiles or computers.
The meeting organizers stopped seeing the meeting replies in the Tacking tab. What was strange is that out of the organizers, two of them showed one meeting acceptance out of the whole list
of invitees, even though they did see the meeting acceptance messages coming back from far more invitees than that.
I verified the Tracking settings in Outlook are set correctly. I tried to duplicate the issue from my own Outlook profile and it worked correctly, regardless of whether the meeting invitations
were accepted by a smartphone or from Outlook.
Again, the users claimed it was working up until recently. Our environment is Outlook 2010 and Exchange 2010.

    DB:2.72:Room Mailbox Issue In Exchange 2010 a9

    Hello,

We have the following example scenario:

I invite user 1 and user 2 to a meeting. They both accept. I then decide to remove user 1 and invite user 3 instead. If I don’t change the location of the meeting I get this option which results
in user 1 getting the cancellation and user 3 getting the invite:

However, if I change the location of the meeting, I do not get the option above so user 1 does not get the cancellation and the meeting remains in her calendar. Is this an Outlook bug and is there
a fix for it? It’s causing a lot of inconvenience especially when inviting meeting rooms because the cancellations don’t work and so the meeting rooms continue to be marked as busy.

    Regards
    Manjeet

    I have two questions.
I create a meeting request in Outlook 2010 Pro (Windows 7 Pro) and send it to several recipients, from my calendar, I go check it at the next day and the recipients are missing.

I also will paste text instead of HTML in the notes section and the notes are chopped up in my calendar view. When I look at my recipients meeting in their calendar after they have accepted the notes are clear - just like I originally sent them

I am having this same issue. Mine happens from a Public Calendar in which I have editor rights. It was created to book our internal studios, but it is a stand-alone calendar, meaning it does not have a mailbox or an associated Outlook profile beyond just
    being a calendar.
Whenever I send an update to the event on the Public Calendar, it sends a cancellation and the update simultaneously. This is quite confusing to the recipients and then I often receive a follow-up email or phone call asking if the event is actually canceled.
There are many who have access to view/edit this calendar, but the invites on the calendar will vary in who they go to beyond those who have access.

    A quick question before proceeding:

What type of email account are you working on? Is it POP3, IMAP or Exchange server email account?

The Meeting Forward Notification won't include the body of the forwarded notification.

It would only included who has forwarded the meeting to additional recipients.

    'Subject will be added here'
