    DB:3.86:Webmail Troubles With Pear s3

    one more thing...

Disabling the error notifications is one way around the problem; however a likely better solution (i have found out) would be to change your code to use non-deprecated globals ... this is discussed further at the link below.

    http://www.trap17.com/index.php/Problem-036http_post_vars_t33824.html

I wouldnt suggest changing the plesk panel or horde code, so in order to address that specific issue it is likely best to enable register_long_arrays in your php.ini file with the cost of a performance hit.

Hope this clarifies my last post.

Currently the BestBuy iOS app has an old user interface and does not align well with the new design movement by Apple and other companies. By updating the app to iOS 7 standards, the app should perform better and increase its app ratings and use.

    Proposed features:

Update the interface to iOS 7 standards

Scan giftcards with our iOS camera to add them to our My BestBuy account

Allow users to login with their My BestBuy account when first loading the app to personalize user app experience

Incorporate iBeacons in bestbuy stores to promote deals as users approach the store or didn't section within the store

DB:3.55:Update The Bestbuy Ios App To Ios 7 Standards - Best Buy: Unboxed cx

Hopefully these upgrades include Best Buy Passbook Support as well. It would be much quicker for redeeming MyBB certificates, showing your BB Card, or scanning emails for In-Store Pickup. Passbook works really well for apps like Fandango and KMart/Sears Shop Your Way Rewards.

Hi This is kind of a trivial question.

I know that in Sun's coding standards doc
    see below
    http://java.sun.com/docs/codeconv/html/CodeConvTOC.doc.html

a class name is supposed to be Capitalized,
now what about an inner class in no where it says an inner class should or should not be capitalized...

    DB:3.35:Inner Class Standards mz

Here's an example from the Javamail API:

    http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/javadocs/javax/mail/Message.RecipientType.html

RecipientType is an inner class of Message. Though Java sometimes doesn't follow its own standards, I think it's safe to say between the reasons previously given and the fact that Java does it itself, inner classes should follow the same naming conventions as any other class.

The problem was with the way I registered the parent. So I changed the name from 2/ to main.xsd and it worked after that.

Oracle didn't seem to like the "2/" as the name of the parent. When I tried to unregister the parent, oracle said it couldn't find it. So I had to uninstall/reinstall xdb. fun fun fun.

Its not easy to debug since the stored procedures involved in registration are wrap encrypted. Hopefully things are better in version 11. We're still on 10g.

I understand where you are coming from as I did consider something similar, but it's not possible as our EDMS creates drawings for us automatically using templates. The only way would be to add extra plug-ins as shown in the screen shot for AEC styles. Maybe I could put that on the wish list?

So two days ago a when I shut down my Mac mini to move it to a new location my iPad took the opportunity to pair with the keyboard. The keyboard can't connect to more than one device at a time. So while it's connected to the iPad the Mac mini waited for it to be free. Simple solution, instructed my iPad to forget the device and the Mac mini paired instantly and I was back up and running. I'm probably not the only one who's run into this but I'm probably the only one that took 2 days to recognize the solution. Doh!

Anyone using layer standards? (aside from the stock AIA ones)

    DB:3.08:Re: Layer Standards x8

I've been following this civil layer standard topic for what seems like
forever and I don't think I've seen one yet that I'm happy with. A unified,
coherent standard is like life on other planets; we're pretty sure it might
exist it's just that no one has ever seen it.

I agree with the hierarchy system of layers and I have seen basta..ized
versions of it attempted by cities, municipalities, etc. but they never seem
to get it right. In some cases they'll put the "state" first (i.e. Existing,
proposed, etc.) and others the noun will go first (i.e. Road, Util, etc.)
and worse yet, they will mix delimiters in the same layer name. Maybe some
of it is a carry-over from old layer names or some of it may be limited
knowledge of how a system should work.

But enough ranting... I've come up with a hierarchy system that I am happy
with but I prefer the following format:
    CATEGORY-NOUN1-NOUN2-ETC-ENTITY-STATE
    for example
    UTIL-SAN-LIN-EXI, UTIL-SAN-TXT-EXI, UTIL-SAN-SYM-EXI

When putting together layer names, a few rules should apply:

1.. The category must always appear first
2.. The entity type must appear second to last
3.. The state of the layer must always appear last
4.. Common nouns such as STM, SAN, WAT, etc. should appear second
5.. Any other nouns or adjectives added into the layer name can appear in
a logical order (PRF, XSEC, BDY, etc.).
6.. Layer names should be all capital letters.
It may seem a little lengthy at first but I like to keep the categories at
the beginning and the development states at the end, I just find it easier
to group. Also, for parsing and translation purposes, I like to know what
kind of entity I'm dealing with.

Some time ago I wrote a VBA routine and database similar to the Corp. of
Engineers routines and I find it works well for our purposes. I like the
fact that I can include several versions of the same layers but with
different colours and linetypes and then just load them over the current
    ones (similar to layer states).

If anyone out there ever feels enegetic enough to spearhead a Civil
Standard, spread the word, I'll jump on the bandwagon.

"Tim S" wrote in message news:410fa5ba$1_2@newsprd01...
The main problem I have with the layer standards is that they do not seem
    to
have a coherent hierarchy. A lot of them will separate text as the major
separator, which to me is the least important. I think the hierarchy for
civil work would have to begin with Existing features vs. proposed
    features.
I like all of my existing features listed together in the layer list. That
way, I can turn them all on/off at the same time rather that searching
through 200 layers for existing features.
I just do not understand the importance of naming a layer ANNOT- whatever.
If you group all of the ANNOT's together what do you have? Nothing. Yet,
    if
you start with a major grouping of Ex, then the next hierarchy is say Road
and then the next is Paved or Unpaved, then you have a hierarchy where you
could easily turn on/off all unpaved roads, or isolate all roads paved or
unpaved. This way, you can make the hierarchy as complicated as it needs
    to
be, and still be able to separate all the way down to its most minute
    detail. For example,
    Ex-Road
    Ex-Road-Unpaved
    Ex-Road-Paved
    Ex-Road-Paved-MajArt
    Ex-Road-Paved-MinColl
So, using a system like this, I can turn on/off all roads, or only unpaved
roads, or only paved Major Arterial Roads. But I am not "stuck" with some
complex system where it is not necessary. And the most important part to
    me
is that all the existing roads sit in the same place in the layer list and
    I
can easily group them for isolation, or whatever. Sometimes, a job is
    simple
enough that a layer name like Ex-Road will suffice for all existing roads.
If not, then get as complex as necessary.

I agree that the AIA standards are not at all appropriate for a civil

To overcome that Purge issue, I worked for a firm recently that utilized a
Menu driven Layer Creator. I don't know exactly how they set it up, but it
would be easy enough to use a script command inside a Lisp to create Layers,
    etc.

That would be the easiest method, unless you enjoy waiting on Design Center
to open for you to glom items from other DWGs.

    Another point on this...

If one uses the PURGE ALL command, there go all your layers! Our solution
for this is nsert the .dwg file (we make a copy of the .dwt to .dwg),
make sure that you insert it EXPLODED otherwise, your layers will stay there
in a block that is quite difficult to remove

Another pitfall that we encountered is that we have been playing with the
layer groups (grouping all Utility, Survey, etc. layers). But when one
purge's the drawing (PURGE ALL), it remove the layers from the groups even
when we use the aformentioned Insert. so, basically the Layer Groups are no
good for us unless someone else has any ideas!

Well, that's a great theory, but practice can be quite another matter.

Thankfully, it's been a while since I worked with an individual that made
use of exactly one Layer for all of their entities.

And my current task is to manipulate the collection of entities that make up
the junkyard known as a Construction Document set, into entities that enjoy
a Color by Layer, and Linetype by Layer. This will make revisions so much
easier, and far less time-consuming to implement.

Well my original plan was to create drawing templates with our layers we
have agreed on already inserted, so you really couldn't add a "wrong" layer
since they already exist. I like the idea of keeping an eye on things to,
just wondered if it seemed practical.

I have not seen the actual standard.  It consists of a publication that can be purchased.  More information is at http://www.misra-c2.com/.  I first became aware of this standard in Dr. Dobbs journal in an issue a few months ago.  Thus, I am not familiar with the details other than it is an industry standard.  I am just doing some general research to determine what coding standard I should adopt for .NET development and this seemed to be a well respected standard.

Does oracle offer any guidance for naming standards for database objects? If not, does anybody know of any other resource out there I can check?

    Thanks,
    Jim

DB:3.01:Does Oracle Have Any Database Object Naming Standards (Or Suggestions)? 3f

Is it really a good idea to tie a column name to its type?Seconded. The name should descibe the business purpose rather than implementation.

Column names should be clear, concise and consistent. Where possible abbreviations should always be used e.g. quantity should always be QTY.

Primary key = table_PKAlways explicitly name constraints rather than using the default - SYS_nnnnnnnn is not a very helpful naming convention.

Foreign key = table_FKThis really ought to be:
    table_ref_table_FK

Indexes on any constraint (PK, UK, FK) ought to have the same name as that constraint.

Sequences used to populate table primary keys should be of a standard format, e.g.
    table_id

In general table names should be short rather than using the full thirty characters. They should map to a three or four letter abbreviation that is used consistently for dependent objects - constraints, indexes, sequences.

All objects should have a short prefix identifying the owning subsystem (when appropriate).

Like any standards, we can quibble over the details. The crucial thing is that some set of standards is in place and is adhered to. This means policing them properly.

    Cheers, APC

No document needed. There are two basic standards in Oracle with regards locking.

    1. When selecting rows to update, lock them.

    2. Commit a transaction at the end of a business transaction.

You stick to these two basic standards/rules, and your application will work well ito locking 99% of the time.

I didn't think that I was the only one to come up
with this sort of system. Until the advent of cable intranet for the office, we
worked almost completely in isolation with no regular discussion with others in
either the same or similar fields. Mostly what we had access to were
architectural drawings and for the most part the experience was not good or
    productive.

I used to have a drawing that was based on a
project drawing that presented in schematic form using the actual drawing
information, mechanical systems, architectural xrefs, etc to outline how our
system worked. Unfortunetly, I lost the dam thing, and have not been able to
take the time to redo. (Too much time in the N.G.'s I guess.)

If I ever get it done again, I will let you know
and see if you would like to review it.

    Peter,

Your display combinations are interesting as we
don't have an instance where we would only show any one system, "new" or
"existing" or "demo". If the design has these elements, then it is necessary
for them all to be on thogether.

However, at the end of a project and we give
the owner "record floor plans" (as opposed to "as-built" or "as-constructed"
representing the completion of the "mechanical contract") we can change the
plot style name of the layers so that the plotted drawing would show all the
mechanical systems as being "new", (existing, demo and new together only
applies to a contract set of drawings) or convert all the layers with "cad
standards manager" to "new" layers or convert all enties with one selection
pick to their respective "new" layers.

It seems like a lot but most of our work is
ongoing with the local school districts with mechanical system upgrades and
renovations. Being able to have the "whole" building in one file even for
small little one room changes gives us a leg up on the competition as well
as being able to provide the owner with a current set of drawings on each
    facility at any time.

This has also lead to some consulting work with
them to develope their facilities management system and defining a set of
drawing standards for consultants to incorporate in their
    designs.

Unfortunately, the facilities people don't have
any clout with the contract administration people or the consultant
selection people and most consultants are able to pretty well do what they
want. After all, they are the "Professionals".

    However, life goes on.

The official answer to my question is that it can't be forced.

"you'll see that 8888 mentions that pages are displayed in IE8 Standards Mode (there's a typo though, it just says Internet Explorer 8!) regardless of the !DOCTYPE directive - however, it does not state that pages without a !DOCTYPE are displayed in Standards
    Mode."

So you have to have a doctype regardless.

Which is irrelevant either way, because selectors simply do not work in IE8 user style sheets applied via Accessibility options, regardless of doctype or document mode.

So how many CAD Managers have actually developed CAD standards for the company they are currently at?
Did you utilize the Autocad utility for CAD Standards?
Did you re-create the wheel or adopt and modify from some existing City, County, State or previous employer's CAD Standards.
If you adopted and modified from something that already exists did you then just changes the wording to fit your company's needs?

I've been asked to prepare CAD Standards where I work and not sure how to go about it.......

agree with Owen...for that reason I separated the "CAD Standards" from the
"User's Guide". The problem I had was that the previous CAD standards set up
by my predecessor had not been updated since 1997...and most of it was "User
Guide" material for older software and macros that we no longer use. I took
the "CAD Standards" portion out and updated it to go along with our new
software and company requirements. The document is now under 20 pages with a
lot of screen shots and one or two sentence "Rules" that are short and sweet.
(I also created a "User's Guide for the new software from scratch). In
addition to the separate CAD Standards and User Guide manuals, I also created
a separate manual for "Administrative Configuration and Settings" and "Design
Resources" which is basically a collection of industry information (beyond
just CAD) that will help our users. For the most part, the hardest thing is to
get the users to read and follow the standards. The nice thing is...when they
ask a question or have a problem that is addressed in the manual, I can refer
them back to it and not have to re-solve the same problem over and
    over.

We have had some issues in the office when it comes to training new employees to use our CAD standards. I would like to know if there is a lisp program or other routine out there somewhere that can export your layer standards to a text or spreadsheet file that would include layer names, descriptions, colors, linetypes, etc. for a handheld hard copy of the standards to keep for reference and for training purposes. Any suggestions?

We used a lisp program called "GetLayer2K" but it does not work properly.

    thanks

It is not just the layer names etc. that the new employees may need. A general description of what goes on each layer may help them out quite a bit. Using a standard layer isn't enough. Using the right layer seems to be the challage. (city dictates layers names, not us and can get confusing for new people)

ABAP Objects standards are, in principle, bOO standards/b meaning that all OO-principles and OO designs/patterns that have proven to be useful should be standard in ABAP as well.

I cannot forward you any standards in detail yet you may find more information in one of the books written by Horst Keller. Others sources may be good introductory books to Java (here I can recommend the books of the "Head First" series).

I was able to successfully complete this task

Wow, you're done already? Congratulations. I've been working on our
standards for about a year now. Every time I think I'm about done their is
something new to add or we make a modification/clarification to that which
has been issued. Remember that standards are typically something that will
go thru some process of evolution. The hardest part is getting yourself to
change it after you have worked so hard to put it together.

Now, you might want to concentrate on ways to automate these standards so
that people will actually use them. I found that by just issuing the
standard manual didn't get people to actually use it. Look into creating
drawing templates with all your standards included, create some menu items
that will automatically set certain standards (dimstyles, text styles,
etc.). Anything that you can do to automate the process will only help in
getting people to use it. Also don't forget to effectively train people on
using these standards and your automation tools. You might also want to
consider developing a process for making changes to the standard or under
what conditions the standard can be deviated from and how to go about it.
Trust me, those situations will arise.

Again, great job on getting the job done.

Has anyone inherited a Java project that did not meet any or extremely few maintainability standards... If so, how did you move forward?

    (1) Brought the project up to maintainable standards
    (2) Rewrote the project
    (3) Attempted to maintain the project as is.

DB:2.86:Forward Plans With Unmaintainable Code. mm

Once I got a project to clean up some horrible code before handing it off to another team who was going to replace whole sections of it.

I told my boss that it was pointless, because the horrible part was exactly what was being replaced. So (with his approval) I did nothing other than sending the code to the other team with some notes pointing out what's horrible about it and how they shouldn't do things the same way. They (presumably) ripped out the garbage and did the right thing.

Generally speaking, however, I find that there's never time to completely fix anything, and managers are resistant to refactoring anything, no matter how much they jump up and down yelling "agile". I think they confuse Agile methods with the jumping up and down part. So you end up refactoring things on a piecemeal basis. I also suggest that when you have to add new stuff to the project, try to avoid doing the quickest fix, because that just makes things worse. The "do the simplest thing that can possibly work" philosophy is only a good idea if you also adopt the aggressive refactoring philosophy as well, and sadly the latter is generally sacrificed.

So despite all the exhortations from managers to be agile, what actually happens is that refactoring, incremental design, test-driven design, etc., are never practiced under those managers, but instead are practiced by the developers in their own time in non-work projects. The developers are criticized for not being agile enough, but they're actually discouraged from being as agile as they'd like. There's something really dysfunctional about all this.

Well, I could complain all day.

Do you differentiate your CAD standards from your Document standards? Are
    they in separate manuals?
I'm not sure how to differentiate between the computer standards, and the
printed document standards. (or if I even should)

    Example CAD standard would include:
    Naming files
    File storage
    Drawing units and scale
Use of model space and paperspace
    Layer naming
    Standard fonts
    CTB files, etc.

    Example Document Standard would include:
    Tracking the drawing process
    archiving
    handling redlines
the basic of what goes on the drawing
When and what to cloud on drawings
    Signatures and stamps

Should I put these things into one document, or two?
Or should I use 2 chapters in one manual?

DB:2.86:Re: Cad Vs Document Standards 99

    Hello all.

Is there a whitepaper with coding standards (coding style) for WDK?

Not just the big picture as stated in Web Development Kit 6.6 Development Guide, but also the "low-level" details, like naming the variables and constants, commenting the code, etc.

It would be good to have standards that cover all elements of WDK development, like for Java code, JSP, JavaScript, XML configuration files, etc.

    Best regards,

    Predrag

    Hello tsavatapalli,

thank you for this document, it is very useful regarding development with WDK - that's the standard I've been looking for.

In the meantime I've found some documents (on Java website) that are more related to development in Java and JavaServerPages, that could be usefull in addition (I appologize if it is not allowed to post links to other websites):

I was wondering if there are any good standards for indexing very large partitioned tables (i.e. what should I index). Also, if there are any good standards for indexing these partitioned tables when running queries that do not include the partitioned column in the query?

    DB:2.83:Indexing On Partitioned Tables fx

There's no real difference in what you would index, other than maybe a slightly lower requirement for indexing on tha partitioning key column(s).

You ought to be considering whether you need local or global indexes though, and you'll find a lot of information on that over at http://asktom.oracle.com and in the documentation -- to simplify, OLTP usually uses global indexes and DWH usually uses local indexes. You'll want to understand the pro's and con's or each before deciding on your own situation though.

    Hi Venkat,

Oracle has not imposed any such constraint on the naming of documents, DC and agreements. You can follow your own standards, however in case of File/FTP delivery channel there is some sort of boundation in file naming convention to allow B2B to identify document and TP. For this you may like to refer -

We are upgrading our web app to use HTML5/Standards markup. However, we have legacy .Net aspx web forms. These forms all use Transitional markup and render as we want them to in IE9 if it is set to emulate IE8.
But, for our new stuff we need/want IE9 standards mode. We use an iframe to display the legacy forms... however, they are not rendering correctly. The table sizes are wrong which from what I understand is standards mode where as IE8 with the-//W3C//DTD
HTML 4.01 Transitional//ENDoctype IE8 uses almost standards mode.
Hence my question. Is it possible to get IE9 standards mode to render the iframe in almost standards mode? We have tried to send the EmulateIE8 http header with the legacy pages but that doesn't work... which I figured as much.
    Thanks in advance.

DB:2.81:Re: Project Standards: Update Project Standards d9

If you make a change to a Style in a Drawing,
    in a project that has Project Standards Enabled;
when you Save/Close the dwg it will prompt you to 'Update Project
    Standards';
essentially to 'push' your Version back down to the Standards dwgs.

Is there a way to dictate which Standards dwgs get updated with the new
    version and which do not?

    What I mean is,
I envision a hierarchy of two levels for Standards management: Office
    Standards, and Project Standards.
What if I want to manipulate an Office Standard Door Style slightly and
only push it back to the Project level, leaving the original Office
level Style intact? The quick answer would be to uncheck 'Door Styles'
from the Office Standard dwg in 'Configure AEC Project Standards'; but
that would divorce *all* Door Styles in that dwg from synchronizing. I
just want to isolate *one* at the project level.

Can I accomplish this another way?

The only other that I can think of would be to (via Style Manager)
rename the Door Style to something unique, and then copy/paste it into
the Project Standard dwg. I think this would work, but I'm still
wondering if there's an automated way to do this?

DB:2.81:Re: Project Standards: Update Project Standards d9

I actually think that this will work now. If the first drawing o the list is
read-only, then it should go to the next. However, it would be nice to
specifically select the one you want.

    You
can always manually push a style that way (through the traditional drag
    and
    drop - overwrite existing method).
How does this affect 'Versioning'? I wonder...

Did that help or hurt as far as clarity goes... :-)
    crystal...

but what do you think of my idea to select which Standards Drawing(s)
you 'push to' in the Update
Project Standards window, and the notion that certain Standards Files
could be protected from rogue overwrites via permissions? I'd love to
    hear you thoughts on this...

    Hi Brian,
Sounds like your system has merit. I especially like copy style and assign
and use that on my projects. With your technique(enterprise #1), however,
you must be fairly disciplined not to make significant enterprise changes.
Otherwise, what would prevent some changes from interfering with projects
already partially built? I would think that it could also interfere with
the fidelity of archival projects (record documents). Right?

Yours must be set up backwards from ours... Our "project standards" are
at the bottom of the food chain. If there is a newer version higher up
the chain, you're getting it. Users are told to *never* modify anything
from the office standards, but 'copy and assign' instead, and *then* add
    to Project Standards.dwg

I guess we could have reordered the standards for all 'legacy' jobs, but
that gets messy, as I've never had any luck getting the 'synchronize
standards' options in the CadManager menu to work to synch stuff from
one standards drawing to another. And now you have older stuff higher
up the chain than the newer stuff, and it prompts you every time about
what you want to do with those objects...

DB:2.81:Refurbished Iphones - Not To Apple Standards! - Best Buy: Unboxed 13

About a month ago the top button and the volume buttons stopped working on my iPhone 5. I had the Geek Squad protection plan, so I brought in my phone and they replaced it with a refurbished iPhone 5.

This past Saturday, when I woke up the screen on my phone had stopped working - you could see everything on the screen, but it would not register touch, so I was unable to unlock the phone. I brought the phone to Best Buy hoping that they could help me to retrieve the photos on my phone before replacing it. I was told that there was nothing that they could do but that perhaps the Apple store could help me to retrieve my photos, so I left and went to the Apple store.

Upon arriving at the Apple store, the first thing that the technician noticed was that there wasn't a serial number on the back of the iPhone - the ONLY thing on the back was the word 'iPhone'. The tech then brought the phone into the back to take it apart to determine if she could do anything to help me. When she came back, she said that she could not help me with my phone because it was repaired using "non-Apple parts" and that there were "handwritten notes" on the inside of the phone. She stated that it was no longer up to Apple standards and refused to work on the phone.

At this point I had to go back to Best Buy again to ask them to order me a new phone. I was very frustrated since if Best Buy had provided me with a new phone, rather than a refurbished phone, then Apple would have been able to retrieve my photos. Since the phone was not refurbished to Apple standards they refused to touch the phone. I expressed my frustration to the Geek Squad representative who just told me that there was nothing that they could do except order me another refurbished phone, and that the phones are refurbished to Apple standards, even though the Apple representative told me differently.

I have been a loyal Best Buy customer for the past 15+ years, but because of this and numerous other issues, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. The Geek Squad representatives are unhelpful and rude. The refurbished products are not to the manufacturer's standards, which is unacceptable. Don't waste your money on the Geek Squad insurance plans - go straight to Apple so that you know that that you are receiving an Apple-certified product.

DB:2.81:Refurbished Iphones - Not To Apple Standards! - Best Buy: Unboxed 13

All phones that are rapid exchange are up to the mfg standards, From what it sounds like based on your post you mis-interpreted what the apple representative was saying. They were not saying that the phone repaired by bestbuy wasnt up to standards what they were saying is that since a 3rd party repaired the phone(Geek squad) they would no longer honor or do any sort of work on the phone. This is kind of like taking your car into pep boys and they tell you it has a 6 month warranty and then you take it someplace else and they fix something nearby. As soon as another company moves/modifies or changes anything with the original repair/construction the original host company(apple in this case) no longer can stand behind any sort of guarantee since they do not know who did the work or what exactly was done. All Geek squad repair centers are certified to to apple repair, The issue is that after it is repaired with geek squad it has to continue being done through geek squad apple wouldnt want to replace or repair or even work on for that matter any product that they dont know what happened from start to finish. There isnt a serial number on the back becasue the cases are stripped and cleaned when the phone is refurbished sometimes even replaced with a cover without the apple logo. This does not mean in and way shape or form its not up to apple standards. This simply means that since best buy repaired the original parts apple does not want to take any liability risks becasue just by looking at your phone apple does not know who did the repair for all they know joes cell phone and toaster repair tried to fix it and they of course are not certified to do the work. Have a wonderful day and enjoy your weekend. If you need me to clarify or go into any more detail about my post please feel free to let me know. Hopefully I was able to clear up and misconceptions from the apple store.

While I am an employee of best buy anything I say here is solely my opinion and I will use it to help you the best I can with my knowledge/Expertise however getting your issue solved is up to a community connector as I like any other employee have no power on these forums.

I have had the same problem with my connection and have been waiting for over a month. I was being told similar things (wait 72 hours, we can't do anything until the system updates, broken promises for call back despite reminders being put into people personal calendars - apparently).

It seems Sky only update their systems every Friday so if you call mid-week they will just tell you to call back later.

The only department with the ability to act immediately are the calcellation department (they only took an hour to put through a cancellation request to OpenReach!)

Sadly it was beyond Sky's abilities to communicate with their customers or suppliers so I had to cancel my order.

I know that doesn't really help, but your best option may be to try another ISP.

    Hi:

CDISC Standards are freely available and can be accessed here. The Standards are regularly updated and these updates are announced in the CDISC newsletter:

    http://www.cdisc.org/standards

You can order the CDISC Primer here:

    http://www.cdisc.org/primer

The Tufts CDISC study and findings are available here:

    http://www.cdisc.org/content1114

You do not need to be a member to get the content on the above sites (although the Primer must be ordered).

Otherwise, for some perspective on the use of CDISC for clinical trial data and SAS, you should look at the archives of the PharmaSUG user group conference. Every year, there are many papers about SAS and CDISC presented at PharmaSUG. Almost all of the papers from this (and other) user groups are collected on this site:

http://www.lexjansen.com and the site has a search box, where you can enter search strings such as

    CDISC SDTM

and see what papers have been presented, such as these:
