Every time we update/upgrade Thunderbird Mozilla from Landesk via patch manager, all PCs with Thunderbird can't run it. They all get the message: can't start Thunderbird, MOZCRT19.dll driver missing.

We have to manually download the latest version from Mozilla and install it by hand on all PCs.

    What's going on?

    Thanks

We dont have that app in our enviornment, but it should like a bug with the patch install instructions if you are able to manually download and install it.

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

    Hi gaandolf,

    Try to follow these steps:

    CoreFoundation.dll
It is because you will be missing written documents.
Step 1. You may acquire http://dllcentral.com/corefoundation.dll/1.434.6/ listed here.
Step 2. Substance that submit for your system32 in addition to process directory. Additionally place it with your syswow
Step 3. Browse through in your System32(32Bit OS) or maybe SyWOW64(64Bit The gw990) Directory.
Note: The venue with System32 or perhaps SyWOW64 is
C:Windows\System32 (If you work with 32Bit Windows 7)
C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (if you are using 64Bit House windows)
Step 4.Paste your CoreFoundation.dll in to that directory.
Step 5.Manage the action. It would deliver the results at this moment.

Firefox hangs after 5 to 10 minutes of use. I am running to the same problem on two different computers. I am running FF 3.6.13 under Windows 7, 64-bit. I have all plugins disabled. The active extensions are DownThemAll 2.0, Flashblock 1.5.14.2, and McAfee SiteAdvisor 3.3. I am running McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.7.0i and Spyware Doctor - but not the antivirus engine.

I am running Java Version 6 Update 23 (build 1.6.0_23-b05). If I disable JavaScript I do not seem to have the problem, but I cannot use the features on a lot of sites if I disable it.

This problem is not unique to any particular WebSite.

I have tried all the solutions on the trouble shooting page. MS Process Explorer seems to indicate that Firefox is in a loop continuously starting new threads. The following are stack traces from two successive threads:

    Hi,

I think MOZCRT19.dll is not used anymore and it doesn't come with the latest Firefox installer. Please try uninstalling Firefox and delete the Firefox installation folder Computer  ?\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox or Computer  ?\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox before installing the new one. When uninstalling do not enable the option to delete profile and preferences. You may also want to take a backup of your Firefox Profile Folder Files which is separate from the installation folder and stores bookmarks, passwords etc.

Well, to start with you shouldn\'t answer yes when Thunderbird asks if

it should become the default email client. g

And to resolve this, IIRC you can simply change that agin within the

Since a file in the installation appears to be corrupt, try performing a clean re-install

Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/
Uninstall Firefox, but do not select the setting "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations"
Delete the Firefox Installation directory, default location on 32 bit Windows is C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
    Re-install Firefox

The above process does not delete the bookmarks, passwords and other user data. To be safe you can back them up first, for details see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup

I have just updated to Firefox 10.0.2 and have the same missing dll issue (Mozcrt19.dll and sqlite3.dll)

As I am also using ZoneAlarm (but not a version with Browser virtualisation) spotting a comment about ZoneAlarm, I decided to shut ZA down and try Firefox again: it starts without problem.

So my (very) quick fix is to shut down ZA, start Firefox and then restart ZA....

    clementem,

This means there is a problem with the files you need to run Firefox.

    Try a clean reinstall:

    1. Download the Firefox installer from Mozilla.com and save it to your desktop or other location.
    2. Make sure that Firefox is closed completely
    3. Delete the Firefox installation directory (On Windows, this is typically the C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder that contains "firefox.exe" and other Firefox program files and folders).
    4. Reinstall Firefox by running the installer you downloaded previously.

Your personal settings, including bookmarks and history, will not be lost.

    HI Marcelo,
Mfc70.dll is the Visual C++ .net 2002 Runtime DLL. It usually comes up when you try to use some application that uses this DLL.
When exactly are you getting the error?
Do you remember making any particular changes to the system after which you started getting the error?
If you are simply getting the error while opening up Visual C++ , you can try to uninstall and reinstall it back . Follow the link
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uninstall-change-program#uninstall-change-program=windows-7
on how to uninstall a program

If you are getting the error while opening some application, then again either reinstalling the visual studio (If you have it installed ) might help .Or it might be that the application itself is corrupt .Since Every tool
needs a Runtime. In this case, the MFC library DLL from Visual Studio 2002 is missing. The application developers must include this DLL in their setups .Also , you can verify this by running the application on some other system .
Also ,refer to the discussion on the thread : http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/mfc70dll-missing/f0d93549-fabc-481b-b2ae-6ced4b053fe4

Another possibility would be that your anti-virus software did erase your entire profile. So check if there are any quarantined files. This doesn't seem very likely though.

I have no idea what happened to your profile. As said before, these kind of things don't happen out of the blue.

You can search your disk for the missing profile. If that doesn't turn up anything, your best bet would be a backup of your profile folder.

can't restrore system msvbvm60.dll is missing

    DB:2.37:Systems Restore Dll Problems ss

What is your XP version and Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and anti malware situation: Microsoft Security Essentials sMSE), McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, avast!. Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc.

If the system used to work properly, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did work properly?

How do you know the msvbvm60.dll file is missing?

If you are seeing an error message, exactly what does it say and when do you see it?

The msvbvm60.dll is on the genuine bootable XP installation CD, but it is not one of the 3498 files
that Windows File Protection looks after, so that means there if it ever comes up missing, WFP will not automatically try to replace it and it also means there is not going to be a backup copy in the dllcache folder on your system.

System Restore will restore the missing file (I tried it), but unless you want to be in for a frustrating waste of time, don't bother with any advice to run sfc /scannow for that is not what sfc /scannow does, that is not how it works and that is not what it
    is for.

If you think that getting a copy of the file with be of some value to you, there is a copy on my SkyDrive you can download, but that will not help you with your System Restore problem (need more information to fix that).

    Here's how:

I uploaded a copy of the XP Pro SP3 file you need to my SkyDrive (everybody has a SkyDrive for sharing files).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can look for the file you need there:

    https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=6a7e789cab1d6f39id=6A7E789CAB1D6F39!311

You can download it and when you do, put a copy of the file in this folder (assuming Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\windows\system32

When you see the files available for download, you may not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when you download them they will have the correct extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser may not save the file with an extension (like .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.) so you will have to manually add the proper extension
to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file with no extension and then rename the file to add the proper extension. You don't want to try to use a file called
msvbvm60 when the file name really needs to be called msvbvm60.dll (if the downloaded file has no extension you will have to change the name of the file to add the proper extension to get it to work.

You then need to copy/paste the downloaded file in the correct folder(s) on your system.

After many attempts to correct this problem--and I mean hours at a time many times, with weeks or months between while I wait for Firefox to do something about the issue--I am fed up and wonder why anyone would use Firefox. I used to love it. It worked so well and hey it wasn't Explorer.

The frustration of trying to deal with the company is even worse. Contact us? Really? A map? yes, I'll travel the world visiting Mozilla offices in hopes of finding MOZCRT19.dll and actually getting the ruddy thing onto my computer.

Make a suggestion? Sure, first download the current version of Firefox. Umm...yes, have been trying for hours, days, weeks to do that. Wanted to mention to you how utterly impossible it is to do that. But before I can mention it, I have to somehow do it. In which case, of course, I wouldn't need to mention it.

What do we need from computer programs? We need them to download and open. If they can't do that, pfft.

Thanks to those who have tried to give solutions.

    DB:2.36:Firefox 6.0.2: Periodic Freezes Every Minute (60) a8

My problem is as follows: everything worked fine with my Firefox on all my computers. All of them were sync'ed with firefox sync (including my mobile).

Then, on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit desktop (Q9450 CPU, 4Gb of RAM, Asus P5KC motherboard Intel P35-based), I replaced the motherboard and the CPU. Obviously I reinstalled Windows from scratch and Firefox as well. From plugins, I installed only Adblock plus with the Easylist and malwaredomains lists. The same plugin (along with others) were installed previously on my desktop. I initiated a new sync and my bookmarks and everything obviously appeared ok.

On this new hardware platform (Q9650 CPU, 8Gb RAM, Asus Rampage Extreme, Intel X48-based) I experienced strange freezes, which felt that they ranged from 10" to 30". These happen while I am trying to do an action, like fill in a form for example. Firefox does not freeze while it is idle. When this freeze takes place, it affects only firefox. Nothing else gets affected. Made a clean uninstall, re-installed with only adblock plus and enabled firefox sync. Same issue...

It drives my crazy because both the motherboard and the cpu are better than the one I used to have. The system is not overclocked. All my other firefox installations work perfectly.

I should add that I also tried checking with certain sqlite commands the integrity of all sqlite databases. All were ok. Additionally, I deleted this system from sync, completely uninstalled ff, deleted the relevant Application data subdirectories and made a fresh install, only with adblock plus and re-enabled sync. Same issue. Also tried using other memory DIMMs. Same thing again.

Atm, it feels like this is either motherboard related OR there is a "blocker" somewhere. What strikes me a lot is that it works perfectly on all my other computers (remember that all of them are firefox sync'ed) and that the problem appears on the strongest of these machines...

I've read some bug reports in bugzilla that *seem* to be similar to mine, but can't quite correlate the same. Then I stumbled an excellent process explorer from winternals (mentioned in this thread here as well), which you can get from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653

Running this process explorer along firefox I noticed that initially all seem fine. Selecting View - System Information I watched what happened while browsing. Initially, browsing causes some small spikes. Then something *very* strange happens (see attached pic):

Every 120" cpu load rises for approximately 60".
During the 60" cpu peak, firefox exhibits the freezing
firefox is ok during the rest (120-70=50") of the time only!

Note that this behaviour does not appear immediately at firefox start, but rather appears later on. I can not pinpoint the exact cause at this point. Once this 2 minute cycle starts, it does not stop until firefox exits!

Perhaps this should be submitted as a bug directly, but it felt like I had to gather some expert opinion here to help me and the devs on this.

EDIT: Updated info. From sysinternals, I can see that when the 60" peaks take place, cpu time is dominated by thread MOZCRT19.DLL (see 2nd screenshot). During that time, the following seem to be causing the peak:

    mozsqlite3.dll!sqlite3_reset+0x2db1 mozsqlite3.dll!sqlite3_step+0xd9 xul.dll!?CanUseOpaqueSurface@Layer@layers@mozilla@@QAEHXZ+0x1d81 xul.dll!?CanUseOpaqueSurface@Layer@layers@mozilla@@QAEHXZ+0x1c58 xul.dll!?CanUseOpaqueSurface@Layer@layers@mozilla@@QAEHXZ+0x1bc6 xul.dll!NS_GetXPTCallStub_P+0xb59 xul.dll!?IsOriginalCharSkipped@gfxSkipCharsIterator@@QBEHPAH@Z+0x28f9a xul.dll!?GetEffectiveClipRect@Layer@layers@mozilla@@QAEPBUnsIntRect@@XZ+0x659 MOZCRT19.dll!_endthreadex+0x78 MOZCRT19.dll!_endthreadex+0x106 ntdll.dll!RtlInitializeExceptionChain+0x63 ntdll.dll!RtlInitializeExceptionChain+0x36

    DB:2.36:Firefox 6.0.2: Periodic Freezes Every Minute (60) a8

    I Hope it works,

but there are other possible potential causes of these hangs. You did say there was no problem in safe mode, the bug referenced did occur in safe mode so you could yet find that is not the cause of your problems. I was one of the people noting a possible correlation with 64 bit systems but hedged the bet by pointing out 64 bit systems are now more common so it may not have been causative.

This issue points out the need to balance looking at both individual threads where a problem is reported, and the high scoring threads

high votes indicate a problem seems to be widespread, but not defined
individual threads allow the problem to be looked at and potentially a bug filed

An advantage of posting a support question or looking at those initially instead of filing a bug straight away is that it gets a rather larger exposure, the disadvantage is the lack of detail in many support questions.

Unfortunately the forum questions are answered mainly by volunteers, and there are more questions than can be effectively answered. (Forum changes are being planned, maybe it will improve)

No, this is not a familiar error.

Are you using the precompiled binaries on Windows? I assume so. Do you have the ability to rebuild from source (i.e. do you have Visual Studio available)?

Also, if you try using the debug libraries, you might get more information.

    Regards,
    George

You can see that the updater had a problem with a few files:
    AccessibleMarshal.dll.moz-backup
    application.ini.mox-backup
    firefox.exe.moz-callback

These files could not be updated because they were probably locked or used by security software.
You need to remove all files to be sure that they all can be recreated by doing a clean reinstalll.

Will it resolve after reinstalling thunderbird again? If i reinstall thunderbird so will i loose all settings/configuration?

DB:2.35:Search Bar Is Missing. How To Enable It Again? kd

The search box is in the 'Mail' toolbar. From menu bar select 'View' - 'Toolbars' - then check 'Mail Toolbar'. OR from the menu pull-down select 'Preferences' and check 'Mail Toolbar'.
All of your preferences are stored in a profile folder which is separate from the TB program files, so when you reload or upgrade TB it uses the existing profile.

    Do a clean (re)install:

Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

I solve the problem , if you have SPEEDbit Video Accelerator ,
uninstall it immediately , don't just exit from the program , because it will leave some services running , and I recommend using an uninstalling program like
Your Uninstaller! 7 , because it will uninstall everything about the program ,
    so this solved my problem.

Finally was able to get FF8 installed and functional. IF anyone uses Zone Alarm make sure you have updated to the latest version. I tried everything numerous times and always got the "can't find sqlite3.dll' error when trying to start FF8. Then I pulled out the ethernet cable and shut down ZA. Miraculous - it works! Wow! Plug it in - turn on ZA - YUP that was the culprit!

If you're having that problem check that your AV will actually support the newer FF ------ I noticed that as of Nov 1 2011 ZAX says it supports version 7 - not 8 yet but so far it is at least working anyway....... UGH! Things are just getting more and more convoluted and complex - way more than is necessary!
