There are two workflows associated with this. One workflow creates an item in the calendar (Conditions: None,

DB:3.60:Importing Sharepoint 2007 List Templates (Stp) Into Sharepoint 2013 a7

Sure, but you've basically got to add the list to a blank site in SP2007 that is the ONLY thing in a contentdb, do a db attach migration to SP2010, then do a db attach migration to SP2013, then save the list as a template, and use it on other sites in SP2013.

Out of the box, this is the only option without using 3rd party tools. You could probably do something custom but it'd be a ton of work.

in outlook, those events can be seen on Sharepoint Calendar in browser. But, if events are created on Outllook Calendar, they do not sync with Sharepoint Calendar.
I have found posts, technet articles,.. which describes copying or drag-drop events from outlook calendar to Sharepoint Calendar within outlook. But this is not what our organization requires, it requires that things get handled automatically without copying.
It means when you create events, appointments, meeting requests in Sharepoint Calendar it should get reflected in Outlook and vice-versa.
Please let me know is there a way around to do it.
    Much Appreciated!!

DB:3.51:Sync Between Sharepoint And Outlook Calendar xs

    Hi Nilesh,
Connect to Outlook could only sync the data between SharePoint list and the linked SharePoint list within Outlook by design, it won't sync between SharePoint list and default Outlook Calendar.
I think you need to create the events directly in linked SharePoint list within Outlook to achieve your requirement.
Or it may needs some development on automatically copying Outlook Calendar events to linked SharePoint list within Outlook, and you can post this requirement to the Outlook forum for a better assistance.

Hi - I'm sure this is an easy one but I'm looking to synch two calendars so that changes to appointments in either will be reflected in the other.
We are synchronizing a MOSS calendar list which creates a separate Calendar in Outlook 2007 to my default Calendar, but we want the SharePoint list calendar entries to actually synch with my default Calendar - strangely Outlook doesn't seem to allow me to change the destination Calendar or have I missed something?
For example I've given someone access to my Calendar to see what I'm up to but if the SharePoint Calendar items are syched to the separate Calendar that MOSS created, this other user can't see all the additional appointments set for me in the SharePoint Calendar list. I could provide access to the MOSS generated calendar list and ask the user to cross reference but if you multiply this by a hundred users all with different Calendars created by different Sharepoint Calendars lists this becomes impractical.
    Can anyone help?

    Hello,

If you refer the “Default Outlook Calendar” to calendars under “My Calendars” group in Outlook, then you can just drag the sharepoint calendar from “other calendars” group to “My Calendars” group.

If you want to be alerted when new event created in sharepoint calendar, then you can just create an alert to message you in calendar list.  You can take reference from following link about the details of creating alert:

DB:3.41:Getting Sharepoint Calendar Reminders In Outlook c9

    Hi,
a SharePoint calendar does not map the reminder info with Outlook.
Nevertheless, after searching a bit I found this link with the second answer showing some solutions:

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/529045/dated-reminders-in-sharepoint-calendars

I'm doing some quoting of his answer. Perhaps there is a solution that could suite better your needs:
    Expanding on Andy's answer (http://www.andrewconnell.com/blog/articles/CreatingCustomSharePointTimerJobs.aspx)
if you just put code to send an email in the Execute method of the timer job this doesn't give you anything more than cron.
What you could do is to write code to iterate through the Calendar (actually an Event List) finding any events due soon and sending email to whomever is in the Assigned To field. This could then be called from the Timer Jobs Execute method or using a
normal scheduled task. This will be easier to administer changes than cron and could be used for other types of tasks.
A link to get you started -
Iterate through Items in a List
Another option would be to use
Workflow to send out emails from the calendar
This CodeProject article shows how to develop a
    feature to send scheduled reminders
Yet another option would be to use one of the 3rd party tools that do this (disclaimer - I work for the first company)

    Pentalogic - SharePoint Reminder
    Bamboo - Alert Plus
    Brandysoft - Alert Reminder Boost

Finally - whichever method you choose (custom code/workflow/3rd party) you will likely run into trouble with recurring events as SharePoint doesn't provide a way to get an 'expanded' list of all occurrences.

    Hi,

If you have Exchange Server in your domain, you can use OWA (Outlook Web Access) to display personal calendar in SharePoint using OWA
    web part. Details: http://officeimg.vo.msecnd.net/en-us/files/470/986/AF010333886.mht.

If there is no Exchange in the domain, there is a relatively easy way by hand:

    1.
    Create a new calendar in SharePoint and link it to your Outlook;

    2.
Open both the pre-existing calendar and the new linked SharePoint calendar in Outlook, choose the Month mode.

    3.
Drag the items on the pre-existing calendar and drop to the linked SharePoint calendar.

If anything is unclear, dont hesitate to get in touch.

    Thanks,
    Emir

DB:3.36:Cannot Access Shared Outlook 2007 Calendar From Sharepoint Link List 99

    Hi Ray Evans,

To display public folder content, you can use the Page Viewer Web Part to display any Outlook Web Access page using the URL for that page. For example, the URL to
display a month view of a top-level public folder named Company Meetings would be:

    http://servername/public/company%20meetings/?cmd=contentsview=monthly

Note that %20 replaces the space character in the folder name. The cmd=contents parameter specifies that only the contents of the folder should be displayed, not the
folder navigation pane as well. The view=monthly parameter specifies that the complete current month should be displayed. Other possible values for the view parameter would be weekly or daily or the name of an existing saved view. The monthly, weekly, and
    daily values are case sensitive.

For more information about display an Exchange Public Folder in a SharePoint Web Part, please refer to the following article:
Display an Exchange Public Folder in a SharePoint Web Part
    http://weblogs.asp.net/wkriebel/archive/2004/10/28/249195.aspx

Finally, I suggest that you use a SharePoint calendar as your shared calendar, then link the SharePoint calendar to Outlook 2007. For more information about how to
do that, please refer to the following articles:

The links for 'Join the Meeting' and the SIP entry are no longer clickable. So at this point no one could use this entry to actually attend the meeting. If you have an RSS feed setup to this calendar you can go to the event in the feed and use the links there, but we would like them to be able to work directly from the SharePoint Calendar. Is this possible? or because it is actually a list will it be impossible? If it is not possible, would it be possible to actually connect and display an Exchange public calendar?

    DB:3.33:Sharepoint 2007 Calendar Live Meeting 3f

    Hi,

For your first issue, since LiveMeeting isnt my specialty, I suggest posting this question into the following forum:

    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/livemeeting

For your second issue, the Exchange Web Parts are designed to show content from the users Exchange mailbox. They cannot show content from Exchange public folders. To display public folder content, you can use the Page Viewer Web Part to display any Outlook Web Access page using the URL for that page. For example, the URL to display a month view of a top-level public folder named Company Meetings would be:

    http://servername/public/company%20meetings/?cmd=contentsview=monthly

Note that %20 replaces the space character in the folder name. The cmd=contents parameter specifies that only the contents of the folder should be displayed, not the folder navigation pane as well. The view=monthly parameter specifies that the complete current month should be displayed. Other possible values for the view parameter would be weekly or daily or the name of an existing saved view. The monthly, weekly, and daily values are case sensitive.

For more information about display an Exchange Public Folder in a SharePoint Web Part, please refer to the following articles:

DB:3.32:Some Events And Changes Not Synchronizing To Outlook 2007 Calendar From Sharepoint 2010 xa

I have almost wasted an entire day on this issue. After a light pilot and testing phase we rolled out all staff using Outlook 2007 to connect to 5 sharepoint 2010 calendar lists. No users access sharepoint through the web browser. The only
feature utilized is outlook calendar integration with sharepoint 2010.
The problem is that various users' outlook calendars are not displaying some appointments including reoccurring ones. If you do a side-by-side comparison of what's on the actual sharepoint site list and the users' outlook calendar - they don't match.
I believe that I have pinpointed the culprit as only some reoccurring events causing the problem. I have already done the following
    -Verified all permissions are correct
-Dug through tons and tons of windows server/client logs
-Boosted the list view resource throttling
-Removed calendar from outlook, reconnected it, deleted sharepoint list PST and recreate the PST.
-Restarted all web and sql server services on the production server.
Now upon first ADDING the sharepoint list calendar to a clients outlook it performs that first synchronization. I noticed that these specific type of send/receive errors always occurred. So I enabled outlook logging via registry. Here is an
    excerpt from a test client:
event name Starting on Monday, May 30, 2011, at 12:00 AM (server time) was not copied because Outlook does not support multiple occurrences of a recurring appointment on the same day.
    / error

DB:3.32:Some Events And Changes Not Synchronizing To Outlook 2007 Calendar From Sharepoint 2010 xa

I could have sworn that I posted in the correct forum but I guess not.
I do have an update on the issue however. I have been able to reproduce the issue by doing the following:

All actions listed below take place within outlook 2007 on a Sharepoint List calendar. Not on the sharepoint website/portal.
User A: Creates a recurring appointment. Appointment is successfully synchronized and created on sharepoint site.
All users: Their outlook calendar's see the changes with no errors.
User A: Edits only a specific OCCURRENCE within the series. Simply just changing the subject for example and hit's Save. Send/Receive Error occurs on User A's client Task 'SharePoint' reported error (0x80004005) : 'Apples starting
on Monday, March 14, 2011, at 12:00 AM (server time) was not copied because Outlook does not support multiple occurrences of a recurring appointment on the same day.
However the event does infact copy to the sharepoint site as a NEW appointment. So the sharepoint site now displays 2 appointments.
All users: Their outlook tries to sync with the same send/receive error listed above. The change is not copied to their outlook calendars.
I know that using recurring events with sharepoint/outlook was discouraged in the past due to a known bug. However, I would expect this flaw to be addressed and hopefully fixed when using Outlook 2007 and Sharepoint 2010. Is this still a known
issue even with the latest software releases?

    Hello,
I have a situation where I use InfoPath 2010 appointment form in a SharePoint 2007 library. When filling out and saving the form, the form is uploaded to a SharePoint library, and the appointment is autopopulated in a separate SharePoint calendar. If
users want to modify their appointment from the InfoPath form in the library, the calendar will display their new appointment. I used SharePoint designer to create a workflow to do that. The problem I'm having is this workflow doesn't deletethe
previous appointment. How do I do delete that previous appointment? The calendar will list the new and the old appointment.
The fields I'm using are title, user name, start date and time, and End date and time.
I don't have the ability to understand or write code.
Does a solution involve creatinga Lookup column in the Calendar?
Using: SharePoint 2007, SharePoint Designer 2007, InfoPath 2010.

    Thank you,

Brilliant! Yes, I used Title as the formal connector in the calendar. I added an additional workflow step to the current workflow to search for the duplicate Title in the calendar, and if it finds it to delete it. Thank you. Marty

Seems the remote server is not in the same domain with the SharePoint server. That will cause authenticatoin fail, that is why we got 401 error.

    1) You can use code and call the UserProfileManager.GetUserProfile(user, true) this will create the user profile if it does not exist. Then you can test the UserProfile.PersonalSite property and if it is null, create the site in the usual way. (Create SPSite
on the MySite Host and assign the user as the owner.)
    2) Synchronizing the calendar will require a lot of work to manage. Would it be better to put a web part on the personal site that is a view to the calendar in question? You can do this with a dataview or with a custom web part.

DB:3.26:Problems Connecting Sharepoint Calendars To Outlook 2010 kf

I just figured this out and have the same problem with Outlook 2010 (all patches applied). What appears to be happening in our case is that the list is initially connected using HTTPS. But when examining the sync connection, for some unknown reason, Outlook
is querying the endpoint using HTTP. When INSIDE the firewall, we respect both HTTP and HTTPS (so the problem doesn't appear there). When OUTSIDE the firewall, we ONLY respect HTTPS (HTTP is redirected to HTTPS). So a response 301 is received by outlook during
    synchronization.
This is DEFINITELY a bug in Outlook 2010 in our case. Outlook should only attempt to connect to the SOAP endpoint using HTTPS.

    DB:3.26:Shared Sharepoint Calendar List ax

To the best of my knowledge Exchange is not designed to prohibit inviting more people to a meeting that uses a room than the capacity. If it did how would you handle the scenario where you invite 10 people to a meeting in a room that holds 8 people,
but you know that 3 of the people will attend via Lync. Exchange has no way to determine which people will attend physically and which electronically. Or you may invite 12 people to a 10 person room expecting that several people will decline the
    meeting.
So there is no way to effectively impose an actual limit. The capacity is listed for the person scheduling the meeting. They should know how many physical attendees they are expecting.Paul Stork SharePoint Server MVP

Most links I have seen out there seem to point back to this post: http://www.tonstegeman.com/Blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?List=70640fe5-28d9-464f-b1c9-91e07c8f7e47ID=60 In summary, things looked like this:

    protected override void CreateChildControls()
    {
    base.CreateChildControls();

If the workaround is not acceptable, then you need to do some customizations on the list.

    There are 3 possible ways:
    1.    Use JavaScript to locate the column and set the column to read only or remove/hide it.
    2.    Customize the NewForm and EditForm, and manually remove/hide the column.
    3.    Create a list definition and create a read only field. See Field Element (List - Definition) (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms437580.aspx) for more information.

    DB:3.24:Sharepoint 2007 Calendar Exporting 7m

    Hi,
I am trying to set up a calendarsynchronization between MOSS 2007 and Outlook 2007. I would like to enable different departments in our organization to read/contribute to the calendar in Outlook, because the calendars with which I am having trouble
    are interdepartmental.
I store an interdepartmental calendar on one department's team site (Department A), but another department (Department B) has contribute access to that specific calendar (no permission at all onthe team site). This permissions structure works
well on SharePoint, but it seems to be causing problems on Outlook.
When attempting to access the calendar on Outlook, Department A has no problem; the calendar is stored on their team site and they have permissions to the whole site on SharePoint. However, Department B cannot even read the calendar. It asks
repeatedly for credentials without ever displaying anything. It seems as though Outlook wants Department B to have permissions on the team site for Department A and that the list-level permissions that work well on SharePoint do not work on Outlook.
I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and how they solved it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

I was able to resolve the issue
This may not be the most ideal solution, but it has worked for me.
Save the list as a list template with the content included.

Then create a new list from that template. It will re-create all of the items in that list when you do so.
The downside of doing this is that it will set you as the person who created the

list items and the current datetime as the created datetime

helped to sync outlook 2007 to SharePoint 2010. Now, we can see the sync happening. Regards, PravinPravin

DB:3.17:Sharepoint 2013 Search Crawling Other Sp 2007 Server Content But Not Displaying Results p7

    Hi,

I want to crawl the calendar list from another sharepoint 2007 server and display in the search results in sharepoint 2013 server.

I created the Content Source with type “SharePoint Sites “ in SP 2013. I have added sharepoint 2007 list url in start address. I have added the Crawl rules with proper authentication account. Content got crawled successfully.

Now the issue is, we cannot see the sharepoint 2007 crawled results in search. I can see the results from sharepoint 2013 (local sp results) and other content sources. but not from sharepoint 2007 calendar list content source.

I looked at the logs but I cannot find any errors.

Can anyone help me please? Many thanks

    Hi,
If you just have include rule in Crawl rule to crawl SharePoint 2007 site collection, does it work?
If it does work, then add property filter to filter a specific list, does it work?
If it does work, then modify the propery filter to filter calendar list, does it work?

DB:3.17:Task Sharepoint Reported Error (0x80070005) : You Do Not Have Permission To View This Sharepoint List Http 302 ja

    WSS 3
    Outlook 2007
    Exchange 2007
When syncing my SharePoint calender while in outlook I get the following error:

Task 'SharePoint' reported error (0x80070005) : 'You do not have permission to view this SharePoint List (Sandbox (Internal) - Calendar). Contact the SharePoint site administrator. HTTP 302.'

I have no problems connecting the calendar to outlook, and I have owner permissions on the calendar. SSL is not enabled. Using Windows Authentication
Also on a side note, I have a dev environment that has the same configuration (I compared the two config files) which does not have this problem. The only difference between the dev environment and production (with the problem) is that production is hosted
on IIS port 1000, with port 80 redirecting to the web application, where the dev environment is hosted on IIS port 80.

    Alex,
I already solved this issue, I will post the solution for others.

I solved this problem by adjusting theweb applicationproperties. The way our web application was configured, it was hosted on port 1000, with the server redirecting port 80 to 1000. By stopping the default web application and putting the SharePoint
web application on port 80, it solved this issue for me.
Note: This did not require and IIS restart and had no noticable down time if you change the sharepointweb application port first then stop the default web app.
