From the site linked above - "Please kindly note: cable might not work by just connecting PC with TV. Your video output device must support both analog and digital signal conversion and output function."

I've not got the cable to try, but I believe they are saying that the cable you have wont necessarily work depending upon your actual set up. From the comments a few got it working but quite a few couldn't. In which case, I think you need to buy one of the
conversion boxes linked above (or similar which meets your full requirements) and connect the PC and TV via that box, i.e. HDMI cable - PC to box, and then component or composite cable - from the box to the TV.

So i have this Sony KP-57WS500, and im going to buy this cable that is a HDMI to Component (RCA) but they are warning me that i need to check first if my tv can convert it this is what the seller says "Please note: If both input / output device do not support signal conversion, a signal conversion box is required. HDMI to RCA cable is designed to connect and transfer signals from HDMI port to RCA port. This cable functions as a signal transmitter, but NOT a signal converter. As HDMI carries digital signals while RCA carries analog signals. In order for these two formats of signal to communicate with each other, both input and output devices needs to support the signal conversion function (code and decode), please kindly check with your user manual"

I really need to know because im going to use this cable for my A/V .

DB:4.31:Does Sony Kp-57ws500 Convert Hdmi To Rca? 7d

    Hi krypteriaiv,

There's a big chance that it will not work since the HDMI to RCA can't carry the HDMI signal and project it to your TV. And based on the description of the cable, if the input and output device doesn't support signal conversion this will not function properly. However it will work on DVI to HDMI input.

    Thanks,

I have LG LED 1080p 55LS4500high defthat only has 2 HDMI inputs.

Since I have a Roku box and an upconverting DVD player--these use the 2 hdmi cable slots on the TV.

DVR output is r/b/g component video to TV.

Try using the AUDIO IN jacks labeled TV on theSTR-DN1030 AV Receiver. If the same issue persists. Please provide the following information:

What's the brand name of your TV? If it's a Sony, what's the complete model number? If it's a non-Sony, is your TV Audio Return Channel (ARC) capable? (pages 26-27 of themanual)

If you're TV is not ARC capable then you may connect an optical cable from the receiver to the TV.

If your're TV is ARC capable, does the no sound issue happens on all Wii video games that you've tried? Do you get sound when Wii is connected directly to the TV using the same red and white cords?

Do you get sound when playing another source such as set-top box, bluray player, etc.?

Are all of the speakers affected or just some of them?

The TV will be 30 feet(as crow flys) from Cable box so I figure 50' cables will do? better way?????

DB:3.81:Basic In Wall Pre-Wire Up xp

What kind of receiver do you have? You may be able to minimize the number of long cables by wiring everything to your receiver, and then only one or two cables from the receiver to your television. If all your equipment has HDMI output, and your receiver can switch HDMI (most new ones do), you could all your equipment to the receiver's HDMI inputs, and run a single long HDMI cable from your receiver's HDMI output to your television's HDMI input. If you have a mix of HDMI and analog equipment and your receiver can convert analog to digital (as far as I know only the Denon AVR988 and Yamaha HTR6190 do), you can connect everything to the receiver's various inputs, and you still only need to run a single long HDMI cable from your receiver's HDMI output to your television's HDMI input. If you have a mix of HDMI and component-video equipment but your receiver doesn't convert analog to HDMI, you have two options: run both HDMI and component cables to your television, or skip the HDMI and use component for everything. If you want to try using just component, you can connect everything to the receiver's component inputs, and run a single long component cable from your receiver's component output to your television's component input. Otherwise you'll need both types of cables.WARNING: Long component cables can degrade image quality, so for component cables, use the shortest length and highest quality cable you can! HDMI cables tend to be built to more consistent standards, so you can probably get away without using a premium brand of HDMI cable. If you have a home-theater-in-a-box with build-in dvd player, it probably won't switch video for you like a proper receiver. In this case, you are out of luck, you'll have to run an individual cable for everything to the television.

I recently purchased a DVR670KU DVD recorder because the reviews were pretty good. However, I have a problem in that I am only able to connect this unit directly to cable and then to my TV via a HDMI cable and not directly to my cable box. My cable box only has a cable in jack and a 5 prong (audio L R, video Pr,Pa,Y) RCA audio/video output jack to connect to my TV, which is how the cable tech hooked it up. The cable box does have a HDMI jack, but it does not say if it is an input or output, I assume it is an output. However, the recorder only has a HDMI output jack.

According to the owner's manual, to connect the recorder to a cable box, you should use a 3 prong (audio L R / video) RCA audio/video cable. I tried to find some sort of adapter/splitter cable to convert a my 5 prong RCA cable to a 3 prong cable but did not find any. My cable box does not have a RF coaxial cable out. Is there a simple solution to my problem or should I contact my cable provider to see if I could get a different cable box?

    2. From PC, DVI-3xRCA plugs (composite video) to AV2 composite sockets, with stereo RCA cable to AV2 audio sockets, I get audio, but no video!

All settings on PC (Win 7) I know of are set up correctly, e.g. resolution 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz, with monitor and TV set as CLONE, audio set to digital out (SPDIF Coax), through a DAC to the stereo RCA cable.

    Anyone help?!!

I have an older Samsung TV (720P) which has only one DVI input. I presently have a new WD TV Live Plus that I got for a Xmas present connected to a component video input on the set and the audio going through my Yamaha 5.1 amplifier. I'd like to get the higher quality video output of the WD TV that comes through the HDMI output to my set, but if I hook it up through a HDMI to DVI cable, will this shut down the audio output on the RCA jacks?

I understand things aren't quite working as expected with HDMI and the 2311xi monitor.

Is the monitor being connected to a notebook or a desktop PC?

    What model is the PC?

If it is an HP PC, what is theproduct number?

As far as sound goes, have you verified in the sound manager that the HDMI port is selected as the sound output? Sound may still be defaulted to the analog sound output similar to when DVI is used.

Go to Start, search for Sound and open the result under Control Panel.

    Verify that HDMI is selected.

if HDMI, or the monitor is not listed, then let me know what options are available. You may need to right-click and select show hidden/disabled devices.

I don't care that I will not be able to control the receiver or what is coming in on the the TV without a receiver. I just want to get a TV signal to the TV. If I need to change the channels I will need to go into the other room to change it. I already have cable going to the other room, but there is no cable output on the back of of the receivers. I see RCA jacks, optical jack and HDMI jack, but no coax out, only coax in. On my HD25 receiver I see a RCA connector that is labeled coax at the top and labeled digital audio out at the bottom, so I assume that is only audio out and no video at all. There are also the standard RCA yellow video and red and white audio that are not being used on the back of the HD receiver, so I assume I can use those to connect to a RCA to coax box convertorand run coax to the TV without a receiver. The HD DVR has the same RCA jacks, but are being used by the older TV I currently have in that room. I also have the component video RCA jacks (Y Pb Pr) and a yellow audio out available. Is it possible to convert the component video and yellow audio RCA jacks to coax? Can anyone verifiy this? Please help! I need to know what I need to get everything working without paying for another receiver and lease payment each month. I don't watch TV in the rooms I want mirror without receivers very much anyway.

    DB:3.61:Mirror A Tv From Another Receiver 8f

You'll need to use a Composite-to-RFCoax converter. This will convert the Receiver's Composite (yellow RCA) and audio outputs to an RF Coax signal on Ch3 or Ch4 that you can connect to the remote TV. You can buy these converters at places like Radio Shack, Best Buy, Walmart, etc. Note that this configuration may have issues when you're watching an HD channel on the main TV. So a better, more expensive option, is to use a Component-to-Composite Converter, and connect its output to a Composite-to-RFCoax converter. You can buy these converters for good prices from Monoprice.

It's not just a cable, since HDMI is digital and Composite (single RCA for video + 2 for audio) or Component (Three RCA for video + 2 for audio) are Analog.

Google for: HDMI composite (or component if that's what you have) converter

I found this one, but have no experience with it or the company selling it:

    http://www.svideo.com/hdmi2svideo.html

That machine appears to have a VGA port, there may be cheaper converter boxes for VGA to Composite like this:

    Hello,

I'm growing weary with the headache this problem is causing me, and hopefully someone can help! My laptop (Pavilion dv6-1260se) does not have an s-video port (which would solve all my problems instantly), but only an HDMI port. My TV does not have HDMI, only analog RCA and S-Video ports. All I am trying to do is simply project a video playing on my laptop onto my TV, like I could with my old PC

I bought a cable off of Amazon that is HDMI to 3 RCA + VGA, but I don't think it is the right one I need, since I have nowhere to plug the VGA into other than my laptop, and there's no audio or video coming from th TV when I have everything connected. (HDMI and VGA hooked into my laptop and the 3 RCA in my TV or HDMI in the laptop, VGA not in anything, and RCA in my TV).

Is there any solution to this, or am I doomed to incompatibility? I just wish HP would have simply put an S video port on the laptop.

I have connected my MacBook Pro to to a LG HDTV using a mini displayport to HDMI adapter for the video and stereo RCA audio jacks to my Yamaha receiver. The picture is great! the problem is I have massive audio interference. I am picking up a radio station (not one that I am at familiar with - I don't know where it is coming from) when the HDMI cable is connected. Makes watching Hulu or Netfix impossible.

I have tried different HDMI cables, different inputs on both my TV and receiver, disconnecting the cable box from my TV. I am pulling my hair out. The radio signal drops as soon as I disconnect the HDMI, then I get the audio out of my Mac that I want, but of course no video on my TV.

    Any help out there?

DB:3.53:Radio Interference With Mini Displayport To Hdmi ds

I was thinking it was possibly a poorly shielded HDMI adapter. I plugged my macbook in to charge while I was troubleshooting. I unplugged the HDMI adapter (which had killed the interference previously) but the interference remained. I unplugged the power cable, and then the interference stopped.

Also, the interference is only coming through my receiver and not on on my macbook.

Here is the problem. I get perfect picture and audio with my cable tv receiver BUT with the Nintendo Wii I only get upscaled video with NO AUDIO. If so could someone please explain how I can get the Wii with audio working with the given setup. Thanks!

    DB:3.53:Str-Dn1010 Audio Problems 89

The Wii does not feature an digital output and therefore does not support the Dolby Digital surround sound standard, so the only way to connect the audio would be via the twin RCA jacks. Make sure the cables are okay and test the audio with another device - if you are still having issues give Sony Support a call, you might also need to contact Nintendo support as well:

DB:3.52:Home Theatre Surround Sound System Question? cf

Recently I acquired a 55 inch monitor with an Aiwa AVJ-X33 home theatre system. I wished to have high quality video and audio for my Playstation 3.The monitor did not have an HDMI input socket, so I had to buy a DVI adapter to use the HDMI cable from the Playstation. Then, I used the multi-output cable (standard issue from PS3) to go to the receiver with the Red/White RCA connectors. This is working just fine, until I realised that I wasn't receiving 5.1channel audio from the Playstation (as the multi-output doesn't have HD anything). The main and utter problem with acquiring 5.1 audio is the fact that the receiver has NO coaxial, optical/digital or HDMI. It only has RCA audio in, component out and S-video and yellow RCA in. Why is this system capable of using 5.1 channel audio, with all 5 speakers plus subwoofer, when the cable sockets can't bring the required signal??So, I tried using the audio from the HDMI cable via the monitor to output to the receiver. All sockets on the monitor appear to be input only, but I tried anyway. Obviously it didn't work.Is the standard Red/White RCA connectors capable of carrying the 5.1channel input via the TV with HDMI? I found out that with the DVI adapter, the HDMI can only send video signals, but for example if the monitor had an HDMI socket AND an audio out socket, can the RCA connectors take the 5.1channel signal to the receiver?FYI, I do have HD (monitor can only use 1080i) and it's working.Question Two:Would I be able to buy a new receiver box for less of a price as I already have the speakers? Is that even on the market? Would they be compatible? (ohms and sockets to receiver)

So more concisely, I'm inquiring about whether I should invest in a new monitor/TV (if RCA is capable of sending 5.1channel signal FROM an HDMI cable) or a new receiver box (if the speakers are compatible), or a complete new home theatre system with an optical or HDMI cable socket.

DB:3.52:Home Theatre Surround Sound System Question? cf

With optical you only get 5.1 channels in bitstream mode. Not very flexible. I was endlessly trying to get that 5.1 blue light to come on on my old Sony receiver.

If you get a receiver with HDMI input and output you will get full HD audio in either bitstream or linear PCM and you can still connect your monitor to its hdmi output. It will also be more up-to-date/compatible with any future TV/Monitor you happen to get should your current one be replaced for any reason (e.g. what if you win a 3D TV in a raffle one day?).

    A Yamaha RX-V371 would suit.

In order for the signal from DVD player to go through the receiver, the receiver’s output must be standard video out (monitor). The receiver will not upscale/up convert the signal through composite in and output to HDMI.

you need to put the audio jacks in a reciever. unless your tv has an area that has PC with two audio inputs, which is usually dvi or vga. if you have a stereo with aux in this is also a good option. We are assuming you're using a later MBP model that didn't support audio via hdmi HDMI is all digital, so your tv will not connected the analog RCA to the digital HDMI unless of course it supports it. The audio jack also supports Toslink optical out which is digital and a lot of tvs have. you may want to try this too. optical audio cables you would need:http://store.apple.com/us/product/TL955LL/Anotice the mini toslink connector that looks like an 1/8" jack.

Hmmm. Not many posts lately... My TV has DVI-HDTV connectors; DTV HD-DVR20-700S has HDMI. TV has stereo audio only. I use an optical cable from DVR to home theatre. Installer chose RGB component to connect receiver to TV, plus basic RCA sound cable. So, for video only, will I improve HD reception more by buying a HDMI to DVI cable, or can I use the supplied HDMI cable with a converter added to the DVI end? Is there a difference? Are the "high end" cables ($35 vs. $13) worth while? Is there a better way I haven't considered? Thanx...

    DB:3.49:Hdmi To Dvi-Hd 1x

There are all sorts of myths about HDMI and other cables. Read what greywolf has posted, I agree with him completely. There will be no difference in picture quality whichever HDMI cable you use, certainly up to 12-15ft. Use the one that DirecTV provides with the H20 and HR20. And at longer lengths, the brand still does not matter, it's the gauge of the cable that matters. Thicker cables (lower AWG number) carry the HDMI signals further without signal degredation. Buy from web suppliers like monoprice and bluejeans cable and you will get great cables at low prices. There are some interesting articles about cables on the bluejeanscable site also. Also, there should be no difference between the picture quality you get on component cables vs HDMI. Any difference you see, at run lengths below about 25 ft, are due to different calibration on your TV's HDMI and component inputs, or design differences/faults in the circuitry in your TV, not the cables. Over long distances, component holds up much better than HDMI: HDMI needs equalizers to get the digital pulses back in sync and also to restore the square pulse shape. If you are using component for video, use the optical audio output for your audio. The RCA red/white cables only carry PCM stereo, you can't get DD 5.1 surround sound. And to tydoorman - suggest you creat a new post and we can try to sort out your problem. Post your receiver types, and your TV model number.

I just Bought the Samsung LN46a650. I have had it for about a month. My Ps3 Is hooked up to it, and when you run the TV at the 120 hz option for video games, it is amazing. It looks like extra frames are being added in. Super smooth.

Right up until I bought the Tv, I did not know that I would need to buy a 120 hz HDMI cable instead of a regular HDMI cable. A one foot cable costs 150$ instead of 45$ish for the standard one or two foot HDMI cable. Because I was buying the TV, I got a good price on the cable.

    BUT

Now I want to hook up a HD videotron terminal. I do not want to constantly swtich the HDMI cable from the PS3 to the videotron terminal, but I dont really want to pay another 150$ for a one foot cable either.

( A regular HDMI cable will apparently not be able to play the audio)

My question is this. Can I hook up my TV with a 60hz hdmi cable and at the same time use the analog audio cables (red and white rca outputs) from the HD terminal into the tv or speaker system at the same time? This would save me 100$ or so. And would the video image still look the same as with a 120hz cable?

DB:3.43:Wd Tv Hd - Hdmi To Dvi No Sound Solution? m7

    Hey guys,

just recently got a WD TV HD .. awesome gadget IMO but i've still got a very annoying problem.

my TV is quite dated but still capable of hd at 720p. unfortunately it's not equipped with an hdmi input ... only DVI.

so i bought a hdmi-to-dvi cable and it works fine, crystal clear video, but of course no sound. i also have a rca connector plugged in to fetch the audio but my tv just won't take it. i can still watch everything in standard quality with the rca but ... come on ... what the ...???

is there any way to get the audio up and running together with hd video without buying a new tv? is it even possible to grab the audio separately with the rca or will it be ignored forever?

i have no other means of audio with that thing.

    help would be very appreciated.

    cheers

    Wayne,

I believe that if you took the RCA cables apart that came with the WD player and compared them with any other set of RCA cables, you would find they are identical.

Then plug in any other set, and see if it works. If it does, then you're right. If it doesn't, then the cables are not wired to the same color coordinated outputs.

Hi, people,I bought an Apple TV last week. I've got problem with audio. My TV is Sharp Aquos LC 37BV8E (not so recent, but not so old): I have an HDMI port that, I think, doesn't accept audio signal.I tell so beacuse if I linked my MacBook Pro to TV, I had to use the RCA cable associated to this HDMI port to have audio from Computer to TV.The HDMI cable brings only video, not audio, with Apple TV too. Now: I cannot use Optical audio Toslink because TV doesn't have this kind of port. How can I have audio on TV?Does some convertitor exist on market? Special cable?Thank you a lot

Hi Winston... You're right!Yesterday I surfed once again through TV setting and I founded how to activate audio on Hdmi: now it works! It was little bit hidden... anyway: THANK YOU

I've ordered an EVA 8000, but I'm not sure what cable setup I should use. I'd like to connect the EVA to my TV over HDMI (to avoid having three-way competition for my TV's component slot), but send audio out over RCA rather than HDMI (so that it can go to my 2.1 speaker set rather than my tv's builtin speakers). Is it possible to do this?

I should add that this isn't a deal breaker if it isn't possible - I don't object to using component/rca and swapping the cables around, I'd just prefer to avoid doing so if possible.

DB:3.42:Audio And Video Lagging Since Using Hdmi zf

I just bought a Samsung plasma. It worked fine when I simply used RCAs to hook the uverse to the TV. When I switched and used and HDMI cable the video lags behind the audio...bad. It's so aggravating. Id go back to RCAs but this newfangled TV only has 1 set of RCA inputs (5 HDMIs though) and I need those inputs for the Xbox.

Does anyone have a similar issue? Any advice??

If you put it on surround, probably had no sound like I did here. Only audio out of sync I ever see are rarely on live feeds, usually after the next commercial break everything's back in sync. Hope another HDMI input works.

I’m about to buy XPS 420 with Digital Cable Tuners, 86000 GTS video card, and integrated 7.1 channel audio. Machine is intended for use primarily as Media Server. My setup is very simple: Just XPS 420 connected directly to HD TV via HDMI cable. However, one complication: Machine and TV are in different rooms about 50 feet apart.
I hope that single run of good HDMI cable will provide nice video but not sure what to do with audio.
According to information at Dell website, XPS 420 has following sound outputs:
    *********************
    Back: S/PDIF, (1 RCA 1 Optical), 7.1 integrated sound audio I/O (5)
    *********************
I assume that (5) means 5 RCA jacks (?) and I can run 50 feet of RCA cable(s) dedicated specifically to audio… but of course I’d prefer to mix audio into HDMI and send it over single HDMI cable.
I know that some 8600 manufacturers (for example Gainard) add S/PDIF input and supply a cinch cable to connect motherboard S/PDIF output to S/PDIF input of 8600 thus allowing to add audio to 8600 HDMI output. However, I don’t know if Dell’s 8600 has this option.
I know at least one alternative, say, Gefen makes DVI Audio to HDMI Adapter but this adds additional $300 to XPS-420 price.
Here goes my question: Can I mix audio into HDMI stream using 8600 provided by Dell?
If not can I use those 5 audio jacks to pass simple L/R stereo signal to my TV?

DB:3.41:Xps 420, Nvidia 8600 Gts, And Hdmi Audio xc

yup that is correct, it has its own sound card inside the GPU(graphics processing unit).

5.1 channel is great for what comes over cable, so the 7.1 is sort of wasted anyway.

When you have the 2600 XT 256MB video card, Dell now bundles the appropriate DVI to HDMI adapter so you can have your HDMI output.

Hope this helps, I still recommend going the media center extender route.

If you really want long HDMI cables, check monoprice or bluejeanscable

    http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/hdmi-cables/index.htm

bluejeancable has some nice cables that are made in USA and offer range up to 100 feet, which is pretty darn good.  The chinese made silver plated copper is nice also.

I've got a Dell 32" LCD... I've hooked my computer up to the HDMI port 1 using a DVI to HDMI cable. The picture works perfectly. The problem I'm having is with the audio. I've connected a phono to RCA cable from my computer soundcard into the RCA audio-in plugs coupled with the HDMI port.

No sound is coming through the speakers.

There wouldn't happen to be a setting I need to turn on to enable audio is there? I've checked the volume... it isn't on mute... I've looked through the product manual and the settings menu.

The cable is brand new from Circuit City... and I've verified the port on the sound card is working by plugging headphones into it. I don't know what else to check... any suggestions?

The cable box (SA4250HDC)was connected to the TV via RCA cables (red/white/yellow) to Component 1 In and all was well.

We tried to add a DVD player to the configuration. The DVD player is older and must use RCA cables and there isonly one set of Component In jacks. So weused an HDMI cable from the cable box to the TV (HDMI 1 In) and usedRCA cables from the DVD player to the TV.With this setup, there is no audio from the cable box. The audio from the DVD player is fine. In addition, pressing the channell up/down buttons on the Comcast remote operated the volume instead of the channels.

We removed the DVD player completely from Component 1 In but left thecable box still attached via the HDMI cable. Still no audio from the cable box.We changedthe cable boxback to RCA cables to Component 1 In and all is again well.

What do we need to update so that we can get audio from the cable box to the TV via the HDMI cables AND have the DVD player attached to Component 1 In.

    Suggestions?

I read that manual. Is the box able to output to VGA? I read where it says not to connect your computer to that output. Isn't that a parallel output not a video output?

Just asking to prevent any damage to the monitor that the original poster is trying to connect.

I think they are referring to connecting the PC VGA (which is indeed an "output") to the Comcast box as it is also an output. The VGA on a monitor is an input, and if the VGA is active on the Comcast box should work..

I have the video connection for hdmi all connected and working fine. I just can't get audio. I bought s 3.5mm audio cable to rca and connected the red and white wires to the corresponding ones on the samsung lcd. however, still no audio! what is the problem!!!!since i have the aluminum macbook, i had to get the mini display port and the dvi to hdmi. so visual is all working fine.i tried adjusting the sound to output and clicked on headphones, but still no sound.HELP!!!!!

DB:3.40:Connecting Macbook Aluminum To Samsung Lcd But No Audio zj

Thanks everyone for your help! EUREKA!I finally got it to work after calling Samsung and Apple and all these online forums. It was so simple.I already had all the right cables connected but what happened was that I had to change my Samsung tv speakers selection. I had it at external speaker, when it should have been on TV speaker. Once I changed that, the audio works beautifully. So to sum up, for any of those future ones who are having trouble, here's what I did:I have a Macbook Aluminum, which was bought in June 2009.I connected the Dynex minidisplay port to DVI adapter. Then that is connected to a DVI to HDMI cable. That is connected to the back of the tv in the HDMI/DVI port. This however does not allow audio, so you will still need an audio cable.I got the 3.5mm (which is stereo headphone jack) to RCA cable (red and white only). That is connected from audio on macbook and to the back of the tv in the DVI audio in ports, with the corresponding red and white colors.Make sure your tv and laptop are turned off. Connect all the cables. Then turn on your tv and your laptop. Then viola!Just make sure that the source on your tv is at the HDMI/DVI 1 port. On your laptop in your preferences, choose the audio at headphone. That should take care of it!THANKS EVERYONE!

    Hi,

This is a very basic question, does s-video carry audio signal? I have a Canopus ADV analog to DV converter, it has two options for input, one is RCA, another one is S-Video, if I use a RCA cable, and capture the video with Quicktime, it has audio. but if I use S-Video cable alone, video has no audio, is this normal?

I'm trying to connect my iMac to my Panasonic HDTV (model TH42PZ80U).

I've connected an Apple Mini DVD-to-DVI cable to a DVI-to-HDMI cable.
Then I'm connected to HDMI port 2 on the TV.
Video from my iMac is working great on the HDTV!

However, when I connect my RCA audio cable to my HDTV, there's NO SOUND coming from the TV.
Audio plays fine from my iMac when the RCA cable is not connected.
I've toyed with all the TV's audio controls to no avail.

I've tested the RCA audio cable on my computer speakers and it works, so I know the cable is ok.
I'm going from my iMac's digital audio out port to the TV's audio in port (red/white connectors).

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
