    DB:4.82:Custom Dashboard: Search For Attachment Filename am

    Hello,

    i want to implement a "dashboard element" which provides me the results from the field: Attachment filename.

    Example:

    You can search for an Attachment filename directly in the custom dashboard element.

    A solution would be very fine.

    Regards,

    Neon

    DB:4.82:Custom Dashboard: Search For Attachment Filename am

    Sorry, that's not going to be trivial for me to fix. I think the answer lies somewhere deep in the Yahoo Javascript library that FootPrints is using for the drag and drop behavior of the dashboard. I think something in that library is capturing the click event and cancelling it before the default handler can act on it with the default action of putting the cursor into the form input. If I disable the drag and drop by commenting it out in the source code, there are no problems clicking into the form input.

    You can click the label instead of the input and that will put the cursor inside the form input. Or, you can right click the form input. I know neither is ideal but I need to keep this project short and simple. If I have an epiphany, I will definitely give you an update!

    DB:2.89:Problem Retrieving Attachment Contents s3

    Hi,

    My application needs to be able to download attachments from email messages selected and save them to the SD card. I'm able to get the message body part with the attachment from the mail store, but I'm not able to get the attachment content. All attachment types come back asUnsupportedAttachmentPart, and despite havingattachment.hasMore() = true and callingTransport.more(attachment, true) to download the data from the server, the data size (attachment.GetSize()) is always zero. The attachments I've tested this on are .jpg and .pdf, which both show up as an unsupported type.

    Questions:

    - Can you actually download the content of an UnsupportedAttachmentPart, or will the file size always be zero?

    - If you can not download UnsupportedAttachmentPart, then do you need to create an AttachmentHandler to make it supported? I don't want to work with custom file types, I'm just want to save the content of standard types to the file system

    - I've seen a lot of posts refer to prefixing file names with x-rimdevice: my application will not have control over filenames, can I download attachments without this file name prefix

    Developing for Blackberry 8310 on v4.5.

    Code sample below:

    private void downloadAttachment(Message msg) { Multipart mp = (Multipart) msg.getContent(); //Try and get the attachments Object obj = stripAttachment(mp); //Returns vector of attachments Vector attachmentList = new Vector(); //Test if I got any attachments back if(!obj.equals(null)) { if(obj instanceof Vector) { attachmentList = (Vector)obj; for (Enumeration e = attachmentList.elements(); e.hasMoreElements();) { Object attachObj = e.nextElement(); if (attachObj instanceof SupportedAttachmentPart) { //This is a supported attachment. SupportedAttachmentPart attachment = (SupportedAttachmentPart)attachObj; if(attachment.hasMore()) { Status.show("There's more data for the attachment on the server - Try to get..."); try { Transport.more(attachment, true);} catch (MessagingException ex) { Status.show("Error: " + ex.getMessage()); } } Object attachData = attachment.getContent(); if(!attachData.equals(null)) { byte[] data = (byte[])attachData; String filename = attachment.getFilename(); Status.show("Attempting to write to SD card (supported attachment type)..."); Status.show("Filename: " + filename + ", Size: " + attachment.getSize()); this.writeAttachment(data,filename); } } else if (attachObj instanceof UnsupportedAttachmentPart) { //This is an unsupported attachment. UnsupportedAttachmentPart attachment = (UnsupportedAttachmentPart)attachObj; if(attachment.hasMore()) { Status.show("There's more data for the attachment on the server - Try to get..."); try { Transport.more(attachment, true);} catch (MessagingException ex) { Status.show("Error: " + ex.getMessage()); } } Object attachData = attachment.getContent(); if(!attachData.equals(null)) { byte[] data = (byte[])attachData; String filename = attachment.getName(); Status.show("Attempting to write to SD card (unsupported attachment type)..."); Status.show("Filename: " + filename + ", Size: " + attachment.getSize()); Status.show("Data length: " + data.length); this.writeAttachment(data,filename); } } } } } }

    DB:2.85:Sharepoint 2007 - Downloading A File From A Document Library Via. Custom Webpart Does Not Work For Huge File Size ps

    I have a custom webpart developed using .Net controls. In this, I have a download button. When the download button is clicked it will search for that document in a document library and download the file from the library. It is working fine for the small
    size files but the performance is very low(sometimes the download gets interrupted)with huge size (490 MB) files. I am using the below code to download the file

    SPListItem item =
    null;

    string strFormatedFileName =
    string.Empty;

    string[] strFile = fileName.Split((new
    char[] { '(' }));

    if (strFile.Length == 1)

    strFormatedFileName = fileName;

    else

    for (int count = 0; count strFile.Length - 1; count)

    strFormatedFileName = strFormatedFileName strFile[count];

    string camlquery =
    WhereEqFieldRef Name='FileLeafRef' /

    Value Type='Text' strFormatedFileName
    /Value/Eq

    /Where;

    SPQuery qry =
    new SPQuery();

    qry.Query = camlquery;

    SPListItemCollection col = docLibrary.GetItems(qry);

    if (col.Count 0)

    {

    item = col[0];

    byte[] fileBytes = item.File.OpenBinary();

    Response.ClearContent();

    Response.AddHeader(Content-Disposition,
    attachment; filename= fileName);

    Response.ContentType = application/download;

    BinaryWriter bw =
    new BinaryWriter(Response.OutputStream);

    bw.Write(fileBytes);

    bw.Close();

    HttpContext.Current.ApplicationInstance.CompleteRequest();

    }

    Response.End();
    Thanks a lot in advance

    Hi,
    We are facing problem in displaying French characters in the document title under core search results wepbart. We are using custom xslt to display the data.
    It seems only the filename managed property mapped to the Basic:10(Text) crawled property have this issue, other properties like URL etc. seems to be fine.

    Rfrence EN.doc --- filename
    localhost/Pages/Référence EN.doc - url
    Tried changing the encoding at the xml document and the output(both html xml) as well, but no use.
    xsl:output method=html indent=no encoding=iso-8859-1/

    Did a fulltextsqlquery using a console application, the filename property returns unknown charcters. So I assume it has to do something with how the metadata is crawled.
    Any help is muchappreciated.

    DB:2.68:Attachments Being Stripped That Are Not In The Edge Servers Get-Attachmentfilterentry p9

    Hello all,
    We are having an issue where .trt files are being removed from emails that we are receiving from an external sender. These attachments are being removed and replaced with a .txt file that says This attachment was removed.
    The odd part is that this only happens when the email is being sent to a mail enabled public folder. When sent directly to a user the attachment is not removed.
    I have found an article on Exchange 2007 that seams similar to the issue that we are seeing:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945046
    But it does not apply to Exchange 2010. Does anyone know if there is a similar Key that I can add to the transport config on the edge servers: (add key=”AllowInvalidAttachment”

    Hi guys,

    In testing Exchange Server 2007, i just noticed the Exchange Search service doesn't index any text attachment with capitalized *.TXT filename extension.  However, that same exact file with a lowercase *.txt filename extension got indexed without any problem.

    Here is how it was tested in our demo enviroment.

    1)  Created two text files with the exact same content inside.  These files are named documentone.txt and documenttwo.TXT
    2)  Send the 1st email with documentone.txt as an attachment to a mailbox on Exchange Server 2007.
    3)  Send the 2nd email with the documenttwo.TXT as an attachment to that same mailbox on Exchange Server 2007.
    4)  Do an Instant search (via Outlook 2007 or OWA 2007) using keywords inside those two files above.  Only the first message with documentone.txt would get returned from the server.
    (The Used Cached Exchange Mode option is not enabled)

    Can you give it a try in your Exchange 2007 enviroment and see if it can be duplicated?  Thanks guys!

    DB:2.65:Error While Displaying Binary Data From Database ? px

    So the error you describe happens on the Silverlight application? Seems like the way you are replying, the Silverlight app can't understand that. You are sending data that is not formed in a way that Silverlight is expecting as a response. Silverlight expects test/XML, you are overriding this with your own word document, which is another format. This causes your error.So is your scenario to show the document on screen or to download it? Seems like you should use a DataContract to contain your document info before sending it over to Silverlight.Christopher Scrosati, Software Design Engineer, WCF Silverlight, Microsoft Corp.

    Hi Guys,

    I implement the SDK Download:

    // Download the attachment in the current execution folder.

    // Define the columns to retrieve from the annotation record.
    ColumnSet cols1 = new ColumnSet();
    cols1.Attributes = new string[] { filename, documentbody };

    // Retrieve the annotation record.
    annotation annotationpdf = (annotation)CrmCommon.GetCrmService().Retrieve(EntityName.annotation.ToString(), annotationAttachment.annotationid.Value, cols1);

    // Download the attachment in the current execution folder.
    using (FileStream fileStream = new FileStream(System.IO.Path.Combine(Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.Desktop), annotationpdf.filename), FileMode.OpenOrCreate))

    fileStream.Write(fileContent, 0, fileContent.Length);
    }

    DB:2.60:Error Download Attachment From Custom Entity 1k

    Attachments in CRM are base64 encoded, so you need to decode the documentbody contents before writing them to a file:

    byte[] fileContent = Convert.FromBase64String(annotationpdf.documentbody);

    As per the guidelines in the guide, the dashboard file has been placed in the dashboard folder and the necessary scripts have been mentioned.

    Still, the dashboard is not getting auto-generated upon deployment of the adapter as I had expected.

    Please let me know if there is a way to automate custom dashboard addition when an adapter is deployed, described or instantiated.

Is there a way to make my RKs and metric definition available during the dashboard installation (attached is the file). I have the definitions made available. if I import the dashboard via the manual import option, it works all fine. Kindly advice, the post installation script needs to be as seamless as the manual import option.

    DB:2.58:Download Binary File From Database Via Ssrs j8

    Ihave a requirement to download a file storedin aLONG RAWcolumn from an Oracle database via an SSRS report to the client machine. I created a subreport which contains the custom
    code below which is linked to a main report where a user can click a specific file and download it.
    Public Function DownloadFile(ByVal attachment AS Byte(), ByVal filepath AS String, ByVal filename AS String)

    Dim response AS System.Web.HttpResponse = System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Response
    response.AddHeader(Content-Disposition, attachment; filename= filename )
    response.AddHeader(Content-Length,attachment.Length.ToString())
    response.ContentType = application/octet-stream
    response.BinaryWrite(attachment)
    response.Flush()response.End()

    I get this error Mismatch between RPL version inside RPL stream in the SSRS report.
    My other working approach was to download the file to a network drive using FileSystem.WriteAllBytes(), however, the infra teamis not comfortable allowing the SSRS report to write anything on the server drive.
    Has anyone used this approach before? Is it even possible?

    DB:2.58:Download Binary File From Database Via Ssrs j8

    Hi Jinchun,
    Thank you for your suggestions. Below are my comments:

    Upgrade the SSRS to date - I am a developer and the server is owned by an infrastructure team. It is not at all realistic for me to ask them to upgrade theserver because of my issues. If it helps though, we are using SSRS 2012.Run the sub report separately to check whether the issue happens - I have done this and itdoesn't make a difference because I'm only retrieving basic parameters from the main report. The subreport queries the binary data from the database itself.Simply the custom code(e.g. Just show message box) - Unfortunately, I didn't have time to try this one before the business agreed to the other working option which is downloading the files to a shared drive. I know it sounds so lame from a web development
    perspective but really I think this is not a bad compromise for using SSRS.
    Thanks again for your efforts,
    Vanessa

    DB:2.55:Invalid Filenames In Search Results (With Custom Xsl) cs

    I've got a content source setup in SharePoint that points to a traditional file-share that's got ~4000 PDF's in it. My PDF iFilter is setup and working correctly, all of the content inside the PDF's is getting crawled.
    I've also got a custom search center setup to allow site users to run free-text searches of text inside the PDF's from this content source.
    My custom search center has been seutp with custom XSL output of the search results in the Search Core Results web part. The requirement is that the search results display the FILENAME and not the TITLE of the PDF.
    When a query is executed the search results displayed are not showing the true FILENAME. They are instead showing things like:
    flt7236_6440.pdf
    flt7236_3316.pdf
    flt4944_6172.pdf etc....
    These filenames appear to be made up of meaningless numbers. (Maybe they're numbers that the SSP uses internally to keep track of crawled documents???)
    In any event, does anyone know why my custom XSL isn't working? Why am I getting these results?
    Below is my custom XSL:
    a href={$url} id={concat('CSR_',$id)} title={$url} target=_blank
    xsl:value-of select=filename/
    /a

    DB:2.55:Invalid Filenames In Search Results (With Custom Xsl) cs

    I think this is a bug in either the iFilter or the method SharePoint uses to crawl documents in fileshares. In anycase, I just modified my XSLT and displayed the URL. I used the substring function to trim out the path to the filename.

    Hi,

    I have noticed that when a report is emailed to any user, the filename is always "reports.pdf/html/..."

    Is there a way to change this so that a meaningful name may be given to the emailed file?

    Also, I was wondering if I could give a custom email "subject" and body(since the report goes as an attachment, a body should be present to give the user an idea as to what is the email about.)

    I guess this is a reasonable enhancement request if it doesn't already exist.

    Thanks

    DB:2.55:Reports6i: Change Emailed Filename From "Reports.Pdf/Html/..." f7

    This is indeed a reasonable enhancement request, one that will be included in Reports 7.0.

    In the mean time, you would unfortunately have to do this by talking to the mailer program directly (eg using ora_ffi, dde, ole2).

    We've setup a custom search and having trouble getting an exact match on phrases with leading zeros. For example, our filenames might be aaa-0003, bbb-10003, etc. The search phrase we're using for a search of 0003 is:Filename:000
    AND Filename:3 which gets us about 99% there but we're still getting results such as: abcd-0004-37, xyz-0007-03 in the mix.
    I've tried using OOB search with the same kind of results; I've tried the double quotes such as Filename:0003 which makes it a whole lot worse with the random results; and a search for a non-leading zero number such as 103 is generally
    spot on.
    What am I missing to get the results for these leading zero queries straightened out?

    DB:2.55:Exchange 2007 Edge Attachment Filter Agent Bug? sx

    Over the 7-8 months, we've received a few complaints about inbound .ZIP file attachments being stripped from messages, with only the following text indicating there was a problem:

    This attachment was removed.
    Not many reports percolated have through our Help Desk, but one of the important people within our organization finally encountered this issue, firsthand.  After some searching, we finally stumbled on a couple forum posts that indicated others have had similar problems with the Attachment Filter agent on their Edge Transport server.  Sure enough, when we query the Attachment Filter agent configuration on our Edge servers, the following is revealed:

    [PS] C:\Get-AttachmentFilterListConfig | Select-Object Name,AdminMessage,Action,WhenChanged,WhenCreated,IsValid

    Name         : Transport SettingsAdminMessage : This attachment was removed.Action       : StripWhenChanged  : 2/28/2007 7:25:00 PMWhenCreated  : 2/28/2007 7:22:58 PM
    What's most puzzling is that when we then query the list of file name extensions that are supposed to be stripped, the .ZIP extension is not amongst them:

    [PS] C:\Get-AttachmentFilterEntry | Select-Object Identity | Format-List

    Identity : ContentType:application/x-msdownloadIdentity : ContentType:message/partialIdentity : ContentType:text/scriptletIdentity : ContentType:application/prgIdentity : ContentType:application/msaccessIdentity : ContentType:text/javascriptIdentity : ContentType:application/x-javascriptIdentity : ContentType:application/javascriptIdentity : ContentType:x-internet-signupIdentity : ContentType:application/htaIdentity : FileName:*.xnkIdentity : FileName:*.wshIdentity : FileName:*.wsfIdentity : FileName:*.wscIdentity : FileName:*.vbsIdentity : FileName:*.vbeIdentity : FileName:*.vbIdentity : FileName:*.urlIdentity : FileName:*.shsIdentity : FileName:*.shbIdentity : FileName:*.sctIdentity : FileName:*.scrIdentity : FileName:*.scfIdentity : FileName:*.regIdentity : FileName:*.prgIdentity : FileName:*.prfIdentity : FileName:*.pifIdentity : FileName:*.pcdIdentity : FileName:*.opsIdentity : FileName:*.mstIdentity : FileName:*.mspIdentity : FileName:*.msiIdentity : FileName:*.psc2Identity : FileName:*.psc1Identity : FileName:*.ps2xmlIdentity : FileName:*.ps2Identity : FileName:*.ps11xmlIdentity : FileName:*.ps11Identity : FileName:*.ps1xmlIdentity : FileName:*.ps1Identity : FileName:*.mscIdentity : FileName:*.mdzIdentity : FileName:*.mdwIdentity : FileName:*.mdtIdentity : FileName:*.mdeIdentity : FileName:*.mdbIdentity : FileName:*.mdaIdentity : FileName:*.lnkIdentity : FileName:*.kshIdentity : FileName:*.jseIdentity : FileName:*.jsIdentity : FileName:*.ispIdentity : FileName:*.insIdentity : FileName:*.infIdentity : FileName:*.htaIdentity : FileName:*.hlpIdentity : FileName:*.fxpIdentity : FileName:*.exeIdentity : FileName:*.cshIdentity : FileName:*.crtIdentity : FileName:*.cplIdentity : FileName:*.comIdentity : FileName:*.cmdIdentity : FileName:*.chmIdentity : FileName:*.batIdentity : FileName:*.basIdentity : FileName:*.asxIdentity : FileName:*.appIdentity : FileName:*.adpIdentity : FileName:*.ade
    Just to make sure that the Edge Transport server is the culprit, we modified the AdminMessage:

    [PS] C:\Set-AttachmentFilterListConfig -Action Strip -AdminMessage ZIPs not welcome here
    We then sent test messages with .ZIP file attachments from Hotmail... Not surprisingly, the attachments were all stripped, and in their place was a .TXT attachment with the new AdminMessage.  Has anybody discovered a fix that does NOT involve disabling the Attachment Filter agent entirely?  Is this a bug?

    DB:2.55:Exchange 2007 Edge Attachment Filter Agent Bug? sx

    Same issue here.Am I correct when reading that the only way to fix this is to totally disable the Attachment Filtering Agent on the Edge Server?  Seems to be overkill just to allow zip files.Found another explanation here.

    DB:2.53:How To Create Sharepoint Bdc Connector For Searching Custom Repository jk

    I am researching how to make a custom respository searchable in SharePoint 2010. I read through documentation on BDC, including Todd Baginski'sblog post on .Net Assembly Connector, and get the big picture, but I am missing a lot of details. I wonder if anyone can share their experience and idea.
    The custom repository has 3 elements: file (Office document, PDF etc)on the file system, custom metadata and custom ACLin an Oracle database. The requirement is to search the file and its metadata as a signle document and trim the search result using the custom ACL.
    The possible approach I have come up so far:
    1. Develop BDC .Net assembly connectorto index the custom metadata and ACL as an enternal entity, treat the file as an attachment.
    2. Develop BDC custom connector to index all 3 elements at once. Possibly starts with indexing the files first and enrich the content stream with metadata and ACLfrom the database
    Would any of these approach work? Any sample code to add file/file stream as attachment? What is the best way to incorporate custom ACL into search?
    Any helps and suggestions are appriciated.

    Hi,
    From your description, you want to download attached file in SharePoint custom list.
    You can use a .txt file to test, it will download directly when you click this file.
    Please check whether you have installed OWA(Office Web Application) service. If installed, Office documents(.docx , .xlsx) will show on browser.
    We can add a download button and use the following code snippet to achieve this feature.
    private void DownloadAttachment(string FileName)
    {
    try
    {
    string AttachmentURL = string.Empty;
    AttachmentURL = FileName;
    string strName = AttachmentURL.Substring(AttachmentURL.LastIndexOf(/) 1);
    string sbURL = AttachmentURL.Trim();
    System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Response.ContentEncoding = System.Text.Encoding.Default;
    Response.AppendHeader(Content-disposition, attachment; filename= strName);
    Response.AppendHeader(Pragma, cache);
    Response.AppendHeader(Cache-control, private);
    Response.WriteFile(sbURL);
    Response.End();
    }
    catch (Exception eDwn)
    {
    Response.Write(eDwn.Message);
    }

    Hi, Can you perform a string search using a wild card prefix eg. when performing a search filename contains Board will return results withBoards, and Dashboard. Is there any work a round. I am aware the wildcard prefix searching is not
    available eg *board.

    DB:2.51:Contains Search Not Return Results d1

    Not that i'm aware of.
    You could probablymangle something togetherto do the same by pre-pending letters to the search string (ie. Boards = a*Boards, b*Boards, c*Boards...) but that would be monsterously expensive as you would be running at least 36 queries to get
    the results.
    Without that you're limited to using the KQL which, as you say,doesn't allow wildcard prefixes.

    It seems the names of attachments don't get indexed and thus we cannot search for messages that contain an attachment of a certain name.

    (On the advanced search page, there is a checkbox to search attachments, but I guess this is something else.)

    Many times I know the filename of an example Vi or image that I have attached, but it seems impossible to find the post that contains it. This would be useful to have. Thanks!

    For example, if I enter ColorRampII.png as search term, I would like the search toreturn the following message:

    Hi everyone,

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi !
    I have the "upload a file to a custom table" - example working. Now im trying the "download the file from that table" example from the howto's.
    It is working but there is a little problem with the filename. In my procedure I select the filename from my table. It is stored in a varchar column and is like "F1234/my_file.doc".
    The procedure is the same like in the howto.
    owa_util.mime_header(v_my_mimetype);
    v_my_mimeype is filled !
    htp.p('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename= ''' || v_file_name || '''');

    But when I download it, the standard download box from Internet Explorer sais :
    Filename : WORK1.upload_download
    ( WORK1 is the name of my workspace, upload_download ist the name of the package the download procedure is in )
    Filetype : ''
    ( empty !! )

    If I say "SAVE" the standard save-file box comes up.
    Suggested filename is "WORK1"
    Suggested file type is correct here. For example if it is a visio drawing, it sais "Microsoft Visio File".

    So how can I fix the filename problem ?

    Greetings
    Bernd

    DB:2.47:Download Files Problems With Filename mm

    A little answer to myself ... :-)

    The problem was the filename, that contained the "/" and to many " ' ".

    First i cutted out the F12345/ from the filename. After that I changed the example procedure from
    htp.p('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename= ''' || v_file_name || '''');
    to
    htp.p('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename= ' || v_file_name );

    Now it works with the correct filename and extension association.

    Greetings

    When the Developer Dashboard is set to OnDemand mode, an icon is displayed on the top right side of the page. This icon allows the user to toggle the Dashboard on and off.

    I'm trying to get the .Net mail component to use the Content-Description MIME header, but can't seem to find any properties on the MailMessage or Attachment classes that can be used to set a value for Content-Description.Neither can I find a way of adding a custom header to my attached MIME-part of the mail.
    What I want .Net to send should look something like:

    From: a@b.comTo: b@a.comSubject: simple text emailMIME-Version: 1.0Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary=__________myCustomBoundary__________Message-ID: 9RRZ42Jf7a8d25024e54a0cb7b0184fc7736b8b@9RRZ42J

    Attachment text

    Does anyone happen to know how to accomplish this?Thanks,Pat

    Hi,
    I am having two libraries say 'A' and 'B'. The documents in 'A' has some related documents in 'B'.
    On clicking a button in ribbon menu in 'A', the related documents in 'B' are displayed in custom page. In the custom page, a option (button)is provided to open the related document using Open Save dialog. Am using the following code.

    Response.ClearContent();
    Response.ClearHeaders();
    Response.Buffer = true;
    Response.ContentType = ReturnExtension(fileExtension);
    Response.AddHeader(Content-Length, content.Length.ToString());
    Response.AddHeader(Content-Disposition, attachment; filename= fileName);

    Response.BinaryWrite(content);
    Response.End();

    Am getting the open ,save cancel dialog properly. But before that I need to close the custom page.
    I added the following snippet in the end

    Context.Response.Write(scriptparent.window.location.reload();/script);
    Context.Response.Write(script type='text/javascript'window.frameElement.commitPopup();/script);
    but its not working. Before the dialog is opened, the custom page should be closed.
    Please help me in this regard.

    Hey,
    Instead of opening it in new page and then have a button over there to open or save a document, you can have open-save dialog box on clicking of ribbon button itself using window.open(). I am not sure this will match your requirement or not.

    Hi
    I have a problem downloading files from servlet. It must work on MSIE and NS browsers on PC and Mac. It also has to support swedish characters in filename (aring; auml; ouml;).

    The problem is that when the file contains swedish characters the filename in the "Save as" dialog gets the servlet name. This is for NS and IE on Mac.

    Please don't tell me to search through the forum, I have done that for hours finding different answers with content type and content disposition which havn't worked.

    Hi,The best thing would be to sit with both the functional consultant or abap consultant with the legacy system user. If not possible then go to se37 and open the rfc and see the field description help in import and export parameters. Then you can understand what are the values your rfc is expecting and then may be to map field by field.Also just worth to first the function module with the values from your attachment in se37 directly and then map it so that you by the time you map you know what is what.Regards,---Satish

    Hi, I have custom made printexport component for exporting search results in CSV format. In the component after getting the result set I'm doin setComponentPage("export") to redirect the control to below mention JSP where it streams CSV (comma separated values) file created on the server back to the browser. It is spitting out file contents in the browser instead of prompting the user for open or save as dialogue box. Is this a WDK framework problem ? please advise. below is the snippet % StringBuffer results = new StringBuffer(); results.append("Name,General,Version,Size,Modified mybookmarks.htm,Test "); results.append("document,1.0:CURRENT:DRAFT V1.0,68 KB,2/3/2006 16:45:35"); response.setContentType("application/octet-stream"); response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment;filename=results.csv"); response.resetBuffer(); ServletOutputStream myOut = response.getOutputStream(); myOut.write(results.toString().getBytes()); myOut.flush(); myOut.close(); %

    To avoid the outputstream problem, I would recommend that instead of invoking your JSP via the setComponentPage(), I would recommend that you use purely client-side Javascript. Attach a javascript event handler to your button and perform a window.location = "export.jsp";

    DB:2.45:Exchange 2007 Search - Doesnt Index Attachment With .Txt Filename Extension (Capitalized). But Works Fine With *.Txt Extension xz

    I'm trying to debug a custom page, written by someone else. It's in the recruitment module, and delivered subpages HRS_CE_A_RES_SBP and are included to allow attach/view/delete of attachments.

    When the Add Attachment link is clicked, it should open a window that lets the user enter a filename or browse, but on this custom page, nothing happens.

    Because the delivered code is unmodified, I suspect that there is some setup that hasn't been done. The component does contain table HRS_APP_ATTACH, which includes subrecord FILE_ATTACH_SBR. The component also contains record FILE_ATTACH_WRK.

    Generally Add attachment issues are enountered while setting up new regions for the reason URL not updated while setting up new region.

    In this table PSFILE_ATTDET a row is inserted temporarily with Oprid and deleted once the specified file is trasferred mentioned url successfully.

    Example: AddAttachment(URL_ID, ATTACHSYSFILENAME, FILEEXTENSION, ATTACHUSERFILE, FILESIZE)

    works when ATTACHUSERFILE =file-name and URL_ID=gerurl(url.urlname) are given properly.Please check these parameters.

    Up to now I have done the following and got it to work:
    1. Create custom c# workflow that accept a quote.
    2. Create a workflow that calls my custom workflow from a quote.
    3. Run a quote report and add it as an attachment to the quote (in the notes section).
    All of this is working fine. I can get my report attached to the entity in pdf format. The problem is though, I want to reduce the number of clicks to get the actual pdf downloaded. The ideal will be to run the workflow and after the pdf

    }
    catch (Exception ex)
    {

    ColumnSet = new ColumnSet(quoteid,name, quotenumber),
    Criteria = new FilterExpression
    {
    Conditions =
    {

    {
    AttributeName = quoteid,
    Operator = ConditionOperator.Equal,
    Values = {
    context.PrimaryEntityId.ToString() }
    }
    }

    }
    };
    DataCollectionEntity Quotes = service.RetrieveMultiple(RelatedQuotesQuery).Entities;
    Entity Quote = Quotes[0];

    Entity attachment = new Entity(annotation);
    attachment[objectid] = quote.GetEntityReference(executionContext);
    attachment[filename] = Quote[name].ToString() - Quote[quotenumber].ToString() .pdf;
    attachment[subject] = Quote[name].ToString() - Quote[quotenumber].ToString();
    attachment[documentbody] = System.Convert.ToBase64String(reportresult);

    Hello,

    I don't really know Taskspace but in Webtop, the sources available for search are the repositories that are connected to the same docbroker (connection broker). So if there is only one content server, I guess that's "normal" to see all the repositories. That said, I don't see why the repository dms_prd is not listed in the windows "Change Search Sources". Do these users have different permissions??

    Best regards,

    No Problem.

    Each Web Report Studio report has a metadata component and associated physical files. A basic web report will just have a physical .srx file stored in WebDAV or the Content Server. When viewing the properties of the metadata report definition in SMC, the 'Content' tab displays the associated file(s).

    I would like to query return this information directly from Metadata, the above XML gives me lots of information for all reports but nothing on the physical files.

    Hi,

    We are using Cisco Prime Assurance Standard 10.5.1. The customer requires a custom dashboard which only shows the CUCM services that are running on the entire cluster. Is this possible? I see all the services in the system dashboard but can't find anything in the custom dashboard creation.

    Thanks

    Hi Hassan,

    Did u try the same procedure as below:

    Adding a Customized Dashboard

    You can add customized dashboards in the home page.

    You can also do the following:

    •Add the existing dashlets to a different dashboard.

    •Move the dashlets around under a dashboard by dragging and dropping them.

    To add a new dashboard:

    Step 1 Click the icon on the top-right corner of the home page, and then click Add New Dashboard.

    Step 2 Enter a name in the box provided, and click Apply.

    Step 3 Click Add Dashlet(s).

    Step 4 Click Add adjacent to the dashlets you want to add.

    can u share the existing snapshot?

    DB:2.43:Customising List Attachments With Javascript 9k

    I am attempting to create a custom feature that leverages the out of the box list attachments functionality. I have created a feature and it calls a javascript function that creates the custom content as a local file. I have then reused the code from FORM.js
    to also add the custom attachment to the list item form:
    function AttachFile(filename) {

    if (filename == null) return;

    fileID=FileuploadStringFileUploadIndex;
    fileInput=GetAttachElement(fileID);
    var L_FileUploadToolTip_text = Name;
    oRow = document.getElementById(idAttachmentsTable).insertRow(-1);
    RowID = 'attachRow' FileUploadIndex;
    oRow.id = RowID;
    oCellFileName = oRow.insertCell(-1);
    oCellFileName.className = ms-vb;
    oCellFileName.innerHTML = span dir=\ltr\ filename /spannbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;;
    oCellControl = oRow.insertCell(-1);
    oCellControl.className = ms-propertysheet;
    oCellControl.innerHTML = IMG SRC=' document.getElementsByName(RectGifUrl).item(0).value 'nbsp;a href='javascript:RemoveLocal( RowID ,\ fileID \)' L_Delete_Text /a;
    fileInput.style.display = none;
    FileUploadIndex;
    oAttachments = document.getElementById(attachmentsOnClient);
    var inputNode = document.createElement(input);
    inputNode.tabIndex = 1;
    inputNode.type = File;
    inputNode.className = ms-longfileinput;
    inputNode.title = L_FileUploadToolTip_text;
    inputNode.name = FileuploadString FileUploadIndex;
    inputNode.id = FileuploadString FileUploadIndex;
    inputNode.size = 56;
    oAttachments.appendChild(inputNode);
    var theForm = fileInput.form;
    theForm.encoding = 'multipart/form-data';
    document.getElementById(idAttachmentsRow).style.display = ;
    ShowPart1();
    }
    Again this works fine and the attachment is displayed on the list item edit form but the local file is not uploaded or associated with the list item. How does thea standard list do this, is itdone using event receivers?Can this be implemented
    using javascript? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    DB:2.43:Customising List Attachments With Javascript 9k

    Maybe I should provide further information!
    I have created a Custom action and attached it to a number of list e.g. for tasks:
    CustomAction
    Id=Tasks.CustomAttachEdit
    RegistrationType=List
    RegistrationId=107
    Location=EditFormToolbar
    Sequence=100
    Title=Attach Custom Document
    ImageUrl=_layouts/STYLES/images/Logo16x16.gif
    UrlAction Url=javascript:UploadCustomAttachment('{ItemId}','{ListId}');return false;/
    /CustomAction
    The UploadCustomattachment javascript function then creates a local file and then calls the AttachFile function in the above post which merely updates the table of attachments on the edit form but does not upload and attach the file to the list item in SharePoint.
    Is this possible from javascript or would I need to redirect to a custom aspx page and use a combination of javascript and server based code?

    Hello Everyone,

    I have a requirement where in when we Navigate from one Dashboard to Another only "Download" option should we visible and not the data. I got a solution in one of the thread:

    1. Place the request in a section of a dashboard
    2. Enable 'Download' option in Report Links
    3. View the Dashboard
    4. Goto Page Source of the Dashboard in the Browser
    5. Search for 'Download to Excel 2000'
    6. copy the anchor tag for that download option
    7. Go to 'Edit Dashboard', add a new section, then a 'Text' Object
    8. Place the copied code (u can also make the anchor to button by changing the html code)
    9. To hide the original report, go to 'Format Section' of the section Properties of the section which contains the report
    10. Custom CSS Sytle Options - Use Custom CSS Style - display:none

    This works perfectly and i can only see download option. But the issue is when i apply some filter in the first dashboard and navigate, download option will download the entire data irrespective of the filters.

    Kindly provide your inputs as to how i can download only the resulting data.

    hi Prajwal,

    You have to create EJB project and then EAR project that will be used to deploy on PI server.

    Please follow the link below on how to create EJB module in PI 7.1:

    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0b39e65-981e-2b10-1c9c-fc3f8e6747fa

    Before starting developing the module, download required JAR files from PI server location: Please check link below for same:

    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/xi/wheretogetthelibrariesforXI+development

    After creating the module you need to deploy it on PI server. Please check:

    When I bring up the attachment list, all the Filenames are named 'INTERNAL'. When I click on the filename link, however, I see the real filename in the new window that asks you whether you want to open or save the attachment.

    Does anyone know why all the filenames are 'INTERNAL' when there is a different name behind the scenes? How can I bring up the real names?
