DB:4.39:Rwa Download Causes Server To Crash (No Disk Space On C:) cm

    Hi,
I found what I believe is a serious design issue with the RWA service.
If you download files from the RWA using ZIP or self-extracting EXE option RWA will store the temporary files on c:\windows\temp.

The problem is that if the temporary files are very large they are allowed to grow *so* large that C: fills up to 100% and the server will crash!
If the server OS is installed on an SSD it is quite likely that a user can crash the server this way.

I have been looking for a way to either:

configure the RWA service in such a way that it will refuse such large downloads, orpoint RWA to a location other than the C: drive to store temporary files
But, so far I have not been successful. Any thoughts?

i have a problem connecting to RWA from one of my client machines. To be more specific.
The server is working fine. The RWA is operating according to Server Settings and i can connect ok to RWA from other client computers within the SBSe network.
This client computer is connecting ok to the internet and is operating fine within the SBSe network (i can log-in fine, browse the shares, do manual backups etc)
The only problem is that of no-connectivity to RWA with anybrowser. Windows Security Essentials are installed and working ok...and no firewall is installed on theclientapart from the build in of Win7.
The RWA is configured with the microsoft-given domain name (remotewebaccess.com)

    Any Ideas?
PS: The problem lies to mywireless connection. (Intel Centrino Advanced-n 6235). When i connect myEtherneti am connecting ok.

I will answer your questions the best i can.
Recently i purchased an Ultrabook and i was in the procedure ofsettingit up. One of my settings was to set the SBSe RWA site as a start page in all browsers installed on the Ultrabook. This when the problem occured. The RWA page (within the LAN)
was not displaying when i was using wireless. It can only be displayed when i am using Ethernet with out any other modification.
I haven't check to see if the problem persists outside the lan also (will do asap). The Ultrabook had joined the Domain fine and is accessing network shares, and do Folder Redirection just fine. I can do backups with no problems also. My onlyhiccup
is what i mentioned so far.
I haven't tried ipconfig /flushdns or ipconfig /registerdns and but i am not seeing any particular error on theclientsystem apart from the page cannot be displayed erro on IE e.tc.
I will check event viewer just to see any DNS related entry and i will get back to you.
    I will keep you posted.

Thanks for your time and effort to resolve this.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.

Check the name for the cert you used, and check if you used the internal name in RemoteApp and RWA configuration for gateway server, so internal name isn't able to resolve externally. Also try to disabled HTTP redirection on IIS role.
In addition check below article for more information.

First off, thank you to all those who take time to post answers here. Due to some very valuable replies in other posts, I was able to manually configure my SSL for RWA to work correctly.

However, the Server Settings\RWA control panel still says that my domain name is not configured correctly. At the time, I didn't think that would be a problem until I was looking into my next step, installing and configuring the Office365 add-in.
My question(s) is: What can I do to get the Server Settings\RWA control panel to display that my RWA domain is configured correctly? Will I be able to properly install and configure the Office365 add-in, or will it stop with an error thinking RWA isn't configured
    correctly?

The registry key trick worked. Thank you. Installing UR2 did not fix it.
In addition, I went ahead and added the Office365 add-in before attempting the registry edit and was able to configure it properly although I did most of the setup through the website and not through the add-in interface.

    Hi ds_1,

You actually won't need to push 2010 SP1 to everyone. This CAR was fixed in the 2010 f2 patch. Also, I believe that this patch was on Update Service so if your clients have 2010 installed and have Update Service they should be notified of the patch.

    Hello,

On some Win7 clients, when they login to RWA, and go to shared folders, they can see al of their folders and sub folders. However, they cannot see any of theirdocuments.

We don't have any issues on XP clients. And we ruled outthe site firewall at the remote site, becuase when using an XP machine from the same site it worked. So, seems like it must be something on local PC that is doing this.

I have had Windows Server 2012 Essentials setup and running now for over 12 months and have been using the Remote Web Access to share certain files with our employees. When using the RWA you can download files in seconds without issue.
I recently wanted to setup a VPN connection to the server so that I could remote manage the server if needed rather than have to go to the office all the time. I added the role on the server, forwarded port 1723 as needed whilst at the office. Then at home
created a VPN connection on my Windows 7 PC. The VPN connects very quickly without issue but when trying to do anything the lag is very slow. On the laptop I used the cmd prompt so I could ping the server to see what was going on, i get a lot of time outs
when doing anything, even when trying to just open a folder that is also shared by RWA and opens without issue.
If i use Remote Desktop it just constantly times out and closes, so cant do anything.
It appears this is just a VPN issue as RWA works perfectly. Any ideas as to what would cause this?

    DB:2.74:Slow Vpn Connection 7m

    Yes it will.

rdp gateway needs port 443, what's confusing is it is the same technology that provides the remoteApp (dashboard) so, if that was working... What did we do before just setup the router to do a port redirect?

    Hi Robert
Yes we used the router to forward 443 to 4455 in our case.
We then had to alter how we access the RWA page.

    eg.. https://*************.remotewebaccess.com:4455/Remote
This is the only way we could access it. Now we have moved I can set it up so it uses 443 as it should.

Major issues that are resolved by this update

    Issue 1
The network monitor service or the health service crashes occasionally. This issue causes the dashboard to crash in the configuration router wizard. Additionally, an event that resembles the following is logged in the Application log:

    Log Name: Application
    Source: .NET Runtime
    Date: datetime
    Event ID: 1026
    Task Category: None
    Level: Error
    Keywords: Classic
    User: N/A
    Computer: computer name
    Description:
    Application: SharedServiceHost.exe
    Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
    Exception Info: System.InvalidOperationException
    Stack:
    at System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer.Deserialize(System.Xml.XmlReader, System.String, System.Xml.Serialization.XmlDeserializationEvents)
    at Microsoft.WindowsServerSolutions.TaskManagement.Data.EngineStateFile.Load(System.String)

    at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(System.Threading.ExecutionContext, System.Threading.ContextCallback, System.Object, Boolean)
    at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(System.Threading.ExecutionContext, System.Threading.ContextCallback, System.Object)
    at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart()
This issue occurs because the operating system uses the same state file for different task lists that are running in parallel.
    Issue 2
When a web browser control add-in is installed, and you try to close the Dashboard, an empty confirmation dialog box appears. This issue occurs if Internet Explorer 9 is installed.
    Issue 3
The Remote Web Access (RWA) website does not work correctly when you log on from a tablet device. For example, you cannot download files from the RWA website to a Google Android-based device, and you cannot upload files from an Apple IOS-based device to the
    RWA website.
    Issue 4
The software name of the embedded Launchpad is the same for Mac Lion as it is for Windows. Therefore, the operating system assumes that the embedded Launchpad for Mac Lion is already installed. Because of this issue, you cannot install the connector on a Mac
    Lion-based client computer.
    Issue 5
When you install a third-party application that uses the same altitude value as the Backupreader.sys, and then you try to restore the client backup, the restore process fails.
    Issue 6
Assume that you try to perform a client backup. In this situation, the backup operation fails. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

    Insufficient storage available for backup

This issue occurs because a hidden Drivers for Full System Restore folder is created on all the volumes that are included in the backup. If the client computer is running Windows 7, there is a hidden System Reserved partition that is only 100 megabytes (MB).
However, the Drivers for Full System Restore folder is larger than 100 MB. Therefore, this issue occurs. After you apply this update, the Drivers for Full System Restore folder is not created on volumes that are smaller than one gigabyte (GB) or on volumes
that do not have a driver letter.
    Issue 7
The default input language for the Spanish version of Windows SBS 2011 Essentials is English. After you install this update, an alert is displayed that states that the default input language is changed to either English or Traditional Spanish.
    Issue 8
If a certificate that has a blank common name (CN) is created in certain situations, the identity management service cannot be run.

    Issue 9
When Update Rollup 1 for Windows SBS 2011 Essentials is installed on the server that is running a localized version of Windows SBS 2011 Essentials, two sets of shortcuts for Launchpad and Dashboard are created. In this situation, the names of the shortcuts
are displayed in English in one of the set and in the local language in the other set.
    Issue 10
This update fixes and updates links to documents that provide guidance for discovering and deploying add-ins and additional applications.
    Issue 11
Sharedservicehost.exe throws exception errors when the health monitoring service and the client backup service are running. This issue also occurs when Launchpad or Dashboard is disconnected from the Internet. This behavior causes some services, such as the
health monitoring service, the backup service, or the identity management service, to crash.
    Issue 12
The Office 365 integration module fails when you use a new Office 365 organization ID.

    Issue 13
The UI of the client connector is incompatible with the new version of Windows client.
    Issue 14
Client computers disappear from the Dashboard if request IDs for certificates are not returned in a numeric sequence. This issue may also cause the server to disappear from the Dashboard.

    Known issues

    Issue 1
Assume that you install the Launchpad on a client computer before this update is applied on the server. In this situation, the connector on the client computer updates automatically. This behavior causes the notification tray to crash on some localized versions
of Windows SBS 2011 Essentials, such as the Italian and Portuguese Brazilian versions. This issue occurs only after this update is applied.
    Issue 2
You do not receive an alert that states that automatic software updates for Mac Lion are disabled.

    Issue 3
You do not receive an alert that states that software updates for Mac Lion are available.

    Issue 4
There are no time-outs when you try to update the health status after the network connection is disconnected in Mac Lion.

We are finishing our migration from SBS 2003 to SBS 2011. We have a Terminal Server 2003 on our network for a variety of reasons, which some users used through RWW at times. In RWA, is there a way to 'expose' our terminal server to non-admin users when
using RWA? SBS 2011 treats the terminal server as a server (as it should) but it also blocks use by everyone (it does not show up as available) from remote, except the network admins.Best Regards, Mark

I want to share the users share folder via RWA so that people can get personal files from home if needed. I have made sure the individual namedfolders have the following NTFS permissions...
    SYSTEM - Full
    The User - Modify
    Administrator - Modify
If i try and access somebody elses folder via normal Windows shares i get access denied. However in RWA i can browse into the folder, see all the files and sub folders and only get access denied when i try and download a file, also i can create new files
    and folders.
Any ideas how to stop this? In SBS2011 Essentials it wasnt possible to get into the folder if you didnt have permission.

    DB:2.60:Rwa - File/Folder Ntfs Permissions 9c

is mark an administrator user ?
BINGO!!!...why i didnt think of that i dont know.
So admin users can see all the folders and file names despite being denied access at the top level, but standard users are locked out of the folders completly.

After reading countless posts related to my issue, I have yet to find a solution and am looking for some help.
    Situation:
    - RWA IS accessible from outside the LAN using https://ip address/remote
    - RWA is NOT accessible from outside the LAN using https://remote.domain/remote
    - NSLookup of remote.domain returns IP address correctly
    - RWA gives a certificate error when accessed using IP address - it presents the internal certificate ONLY (and as result of the certificate mismatch, connections are not allowed to remote computers)
    - I have purchased a certificate from GoDaddy have used the wizard to install manually, made sure it was properly bound to 443/https in IIS, etc - all to no avail
    - I also tried to install the intermediate GoDaddy certificate, but with no results
Any suggestions... this is driving me crazy?!

I use a syslog server  too. If a simple nmap does this, the whole network traffic will no crash  the router? Is this normal?

    Hi Mike

    Thanks for the prompt answer.

The normal CPU Level (with the audit logs disabled) is 10-30%. If a enable the logs the CPU utilization goes to 70%. Syslog don't make difference, even with the syslog disabled the CPU load is high.

It sounds like the user is getting logged into RWA as expected, right?
The first thing to do is to go to theclient PC and make sure remote access is enabled, and that the user in question has the appropriate permissions to log in remotely. On the Start menu, r-click Computer - Properties. In the left navigation
pane, click Remote Settings and make sure that Remote Desktop is enabled, and that the user is listedin Select Users.

    DB:2.54:Sbs 2011 Essentials-Post Migration Remote Web Access Not Allowed-All Users 8x

    Hello,
We recently migrated from an SBS 2003 server to 2011 SBSE and most of the migration appears to have succeeded (mostly). However the RWA is stuck at Not Allowed for everyone, and I do mean everyone, even domain admins. When using the dashboard if I enable
RWA for a user it reverts back to Not Allowed after about 5 minutes or so.
I won't even go into the nightmare trying to install the SSL cert. Wizard fails, and even manual import is unsuccessful. This is still an unresolved issue as well, and possibly related. However I'm putting this aside until the bigger problem is resolved.
Even RWA from the inside (https://server.domain.local) inside tells me Remote web access is not allowed for your user account when I try to log in. This happens even for the built-in Administrator and any other domain admin account.
I did a fresh install of 2011 SBSE (using the 60-day trial) on another machine (new domain without going through the migration process) and the RWA works flawlessly (only tested from the inside so far). All users are even defaulted to Remote Web Access
Allowed when I create them on this test server. (No SSL cert is installed on test server but ignoring the warning works.)
It appears that RWA is somehow completely disabled on our migrated 2011 SBSE server. You can turn RWA on and off through the console on SBS 2011, but SBSE 2011 doesn't have a console, only the dashboard (that I am less and less impressed with it the longer
I use it), and I have not found any information regarding how to turn RWA on/off in SBSE.
(Actually I can turn RWA on and off through the dashboard, but my question is whether or not there are other places in 2011 SBSE that I can do to that may be disabling RWA?)
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

DB:2.54:Recommended Router For Sbs 2011 Essentials Rwa? xp

Using a new Cisco RVS4000 router with UPnP enabled I was able to quickly and easily (without error) set up the router for RWA using the wizard. I also set up a Microsoft-supplied domain name. The only part I have not done yet is installthe SSL cert.
Despite this, access to the RWA site has worked flawlessly for several users for 2 weeks since initial rollout last August.
After the initial 2 weeks of operation, no one could connect to the RWA site. Connecting to the server I noticed that in Server Settings in the Dashboard (Remote Web Access section) it was reported that The router is not working. I ran the Repair option,
and the situation was fixed and remote connections via RWA worked. Since last August, this has happened 10-20 times. A look at the server event logs after the initial hiccup yielded no system problems.
Running the Repair option fixes the problem, but obviously this doesn't fly with the customer.
The server has been updated with MS updates several times since rollout. Last time MS updates were installed was approx. 3 months ago. There are currently 22 important updates that are ready to be installed.
    My questions are:
    1. Could the lack of a SSL cert be causing this issue, and
    2. if the lack of a SSL cert is unrelated to the cause of the problem, are there more stable routers that can be used with RWA, anddoes anyone have anyrecommendations thathave been proven to work consistently with RWA?
Thanks for your input/feedback and help with this.

DB:2.54:Recommended Router For Sbs 2011 Essentials Rwa? xp

I see this topic is a year old now but for others facing the same problem:
We have several SBS customers and we have our own system running SBS 2011. Cisco RVS4000 seemed to be a good choice, but sooner or later (1-3 months) we had to get rid of all RVS routers and replace them. There were several different issues: VPN disconnection,
poor ADSL performance, sudden stop of DNS and/or DHCP, unstable RDP and so on. Upgrading firmware did not help. All of these problems were magically solved by switching to TP-Link products(it's my personal experience so you might have another manufacturer
in mind). If you want to have solid firewall solution as well Sonicwall is a good choice.

    Hi there,

WS Essentials 2012 lets you access your shared folders remotely via Anywhere Access/RWA. This can easly be set up on the Dashboard. The problem is: Not all folders can be shared. File History Backups, Folder Redirection, and Users server folders have no sharing

The public DNS record that routes the https://remote.domain.com to the external interface of your router, then to the web page that listens on the SBS works fine from any location. But from inside the LAN the
router at the edge will not accept recursive redirects. You are asking it to redirect the incoming request from place A to place A, which most routers don't know how to do or will not allow.Larry Struckmeyer[SBS-MVP]

DHCP on the WAN side is very different. You may find that that router has Dynamic DNS natively as a service you can turn on. Then your ISP will relate to the public DNS recordsas though they are static. But if not you can set up
such and trick the internet into thinking it is static. But the cert is not dependent on a static IP address, only the public DNS pointers are.Larry Struckmeyer[SBS-MVP]

DB:2.52:Rwa Doesnt Work For Users That Can Only Logon To Specific Workstations (Sbs 2011 Essentials) d3

I have an SBS 2011 Essentials
SERVER, and I recently learned that I can restrict users to logon to certain workstations. This is important to me, in order to ensure that our important computers (high powered dedicated workstations, for CAD use only) are not used by users
that might not understand why they shouldn't access it. I performed this by going to
Active Directory Users and Computers, finding the user Bob, clicking the
Account tab, clicking Log On To..., clicking
The following computers, and adding the one computer that Bob should access (Bob's PC), in addition to the
SERVER. I read that the SERVER must be added, in order to access RWA (I tested this, and without
SERVER added to the list, access to RWA site is blocked).

The issue I have, is that
Bob is no longer able to access Bob's PC via RWA.
Bob can log in to RWA, and access shares, etc., but he cannot access
Bob's PC. For kicks, I added John's PC to the list of RWA computersBob
can access (via the SBS Dashboard). Then
Bob could access John's PC but still not
    Bob's PC. The error is:

And yes, I did follow the 'domain\user' format for the username (that would be the first follow-up question I would ask :)). Also, I copied and pasted the password, to ensure
    that it wasn't a typo.

Does anybody know how to give
    Bob
    access to
    Bob's PC
through RWA since restricting his 'Logon Workstations'?

    Side
    note: restricting Bob
    to specific workstations (i.e.
    Bob's PC and
    SERVER) doesn't
explicitly deny a rouge user from accessing a dedicated workstation...so if somebody has another idea on how to do that which perhaps could fix the RWA issue, I would be open to that as well. I assume there is a Group Policy method to restrict a Computer to
specific Users. In the mean time, this restriction works perfectly fine, since there are only a few users who need to be restricted to their PC only.

DB:2.52:Rwa Doesnt Work For Users That Can Only Logon To Specific Workstations (Sbs 2011 Essentials) d3

    Robert,
I am looking to keep 2 computers locked down to specific users only. It is business-critical that these machines are not accessed by other users.

How would you implement this Group Policy? I assume that it would be created on the
SERVER, and not locally? I don't have any real experience with Group Policy creation. I agree that it would make sense to create the policy for a Group, in order to quickly change who can and cannot access the computer.

Out of curiosity, were you able to replicate the issue that I have with my current set-up? Doesn't it seem like something that Microsoft should either fix, or have a work-around for?

    Thank you!

DB:2.51:Sbs 2011 Rwa Issues This Computer Cant Connect To The Remote Computer... 88

Good morning my awesome TechNet friends!
My issue is as follows: I have completed the installation of SBS 2011 Essentials...and am currently working to pre-configure it to work out any kinks before I field it. The one issue that I seem to be having is RWA. I followed the install wizard, but chose
to manually configure my router (after the wizard failed to get it done the first time). After configuring the router and rebooting it, the RWA start screen on the server showed my router and the remote web address. Everything was good to go so I went to the
web outside of my LAN and was able to remote in. I logged in with a user account I had created, and could browse shared folders and see user accounts. I added another computer to the network and can now see it in the RWA Dashboard when logged in as an admin.
It says the computer is available but when I try to connect I get the following error.
This computer can't connect to the remote computer because the certificate authority that generated the Terminal Services Gateway server's certificate is not valid....
I am at a loss. When connecting, the screen does say I am connecting to server.remotewebaccess.com and connecting to Computer1, but when I enter my admin credentials, and try to connect, I get the above stated error message. Any help would be appreciated...or
just a link to another thread. I searched for some relating to this and there were a lot, but they seem to be related to a different error message. Thanks in advance.

Additional Notes: I have visited some web-sites and have been informed that the issue is probably a TS Gateway issue with the cert not being on the client machine. I'm confused how I need to download this cert, as I'm using the standard domain that Microsoft
issues to people who don't need email and the such.

Fixed: I think. I will leave this up for a while and see if anyone else has any answers...but I think my issue is pretty basic in that I need to install my self-signed SSL cert on each of the client machines I am going to be using RWA with. You would think
I would have checked that or done it already, but I didn't. Will do that this evening and will check back in tomorrow with the results.

There is even an easyer way to prevent shares from displaying than editing the web.config. Only shares are displayed, whose share permissions include everyone with at least read share permissions.
So just delete everyone from the share permission list, and add authenticated users or any other security group, and the share will not be displayed on RWA. (Its even more secure, than allow everyone to access the share...)

    Good Evening,
I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Recently installed SBS 2011 E, but I am having issues with RWA and certificate errors.
RWA has been configured using Microsoft hosting services and the Godaddy cert has been issued. The cert has the correct url of companyname.remotewebaccess.com. Internally everything is fine, externally the users (and myself) experience a certificate
warning and we are unable to proceed.
I have tried exporting then importing the cert with no luck. Checked the bindings and those are correct. I did have to install a smtp relay for a custom app, but I can't see that affecting RWA certificates. The ports on the router are configured
    correctly.
I have tried everything I can think of but still no luck.
Any suggestions or advise would be incredibly helpful.
    Many Thanks,
    Sharon

    Thanks,
We don't have an existing cert. The certificate is provided when using Microsoft services (remotewebaccess.com). This setup has worked on other installations without a hiccup.
Internally we are fine, it's connecting remotely that is the issue. I have spent more hours on this than I care to count. Starting to wonder if it's ISP or router related.
    Thanks again for your help.

Windows Server 2012 Essentials. Domain. I set up the Remote Web Access website using the Anywhere Access wizard in the Dashboard. After the RWA website had been set up using Anywhere Access, I ended up with 2 GoDaddy certificates for the RWA website under
the Personal folder in CA. (I would like to know how certificate generation works with RWA website generation by the Anywhere Access wizard so I can better get a handle on my problem.)I had to make some fixes, and now I have NO CERTIFICATES at all for
the RWA website. How do I request a certificate?
For my own information, how is the certificate generated in the first place. I know how to work with certificates that I have purchased from GoDaddy. And I know how to work with self-signed certificates. But I haven't a clue what to do with a certificate
that has been managed by the Anywhere Access wizard.

DB:2.49:How Do I Manage Certificates That Were Created Using The Anywhere Access Wizard? My Rwa Website Certificates Are Missing, And I Need A New One. 8x

There is LOTS of good information in the link you sent me. I will definitely keep that link for a later date. I can't use it now, though, because my problems are different than the resolutions in the link address in that: 1) all of my certificates in Personal
are gone; and, 2) Windows Server 2012 Essentials installed the certificate under the covers automatically sometime during the setup of my domain and/or using the Anywhere Access wizard and I have NO IDEA how the process works.
Everything I am finding presumes I have either purchased a certificate or that the certificate generated by Windows Server 2012 Essentials can be found in the CA snap-in under the Personal folder. As I mentioned, I have not purchased a certificate, and all
of the certificates in CA snap-in under the Personal folder are gone. I had been making repairs to Anywhere Acccess, and I had seen the GoDaddy certificates in the Personal folder that are being referredto in this (and other) links. But now they are
    gone.
Because of this problem, the only wayto accessdomain.remotewebaccess.com (Anywhere Access) website is to change the IE Advanced Security options to not check for revoked certificates. Once I do that, I can access the website. But this is not
a resolution because I cannot recommend to my user's that they disable these security options.

Yes, you can do all of that, and Server Essentials 2012 does allow RWA. So does Windows Storage Server Essentials. But, since SBS Standard will be supported until 2020 or close, I would use that if you prefer on premise exchange. The

There's a dynamic IP beacon software service that talks to the Microsoft servers that then relays your current IP. It's like tzo.com, you don't need to mess with cname or a records.

And if so, can I download the newest RawUpdate (6.2) for use with Lightroom 3.x or is this of no use ? Or is the use of the newest Rwa update only possible in combination with CS5 ?

You can use Ps CS3 with Lightroom, but ACR 6.1 is only compatible with CS5. That being said, everything that ACR 6.1 has is already built into Lr3.2. Adobe also update ACR and LR at the same time, so new camera model support shouldn't be a problem.

I have an SBS 2011 Standard Server that recently has had problems with its RWA site. Periodically, the Connect buttons on the RWA Page for workstations simply stops working. You can not establish a remote desktop connection via the
site to workstation or server. None of the workstations or servers registered is accessible. When you click on the link, it does nothing and provides no error code.

To restore the feature, I have to restart the RD Gateway Service and Reset IIS. Once the services are restarted the connect links work fine for anywhere from 12-48 hours before the next failure. I have checked the event logs and
found no errors as to why the service stops, and when I restart RD Gateway, it still indicates its running. After about every 3rd or 4th failure, you have to reboot the server to restore the service.
Anyone seen this type of problem? The server was fine and stable up until about 3 weeks ago? Any help or insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Help!
    Small Business Server 2011 Essentials.
RWA was working fine using https://mydomain.remotewebaccess.com
Then we changed broadband provider (new IP address) and different router.
The 'new' router is a Draytek Vigor 2820 on a fixed WAN IP address (The server also has a fixed internal address). The Router is connected to the Openreach fibre modem. The ISP says they block no ports.
At the Draytek router, I switched on uPnP with setting:
ApplicationsuPnP... Ticked Enable UPnP Service, and also sub-options Enable Connection control Service and Enable
Connection Status Service (Saved and router rebooted).
On the server, the wizard failed to set the router using UPnP (I have read elsewhere the wizard doesn't like this brand of router.
So I set port forwarding at the router manually:
    NATPort Redirection
TCP Port 443 external to port 443 192.168.100.10 (also set port forwarding for 80 and 3389 in case it helped - it didn't).
    On the server:
    ISSUE 1:
The wizard says: Remote Web Access to the Server is blocked (in spite of me manually forwarding the ports)

    and
    ISSUE 2:
The Password for your domain name service provider user account is not correct
Retype your password: all options I think could be correct are Invalid Password (like described herehttp://forum.wegotserved.com/index.php/topic/22902-domain-service-provider-password/)
I am using the microsofthttps://mydomain.remotewebaccess.com address so Microsoft are my provider.
Which Microsoft service's credentials am I looking for? And how do I verify/reset it?
DOES IT WORK ANYWAY? - NO
If I tryhttps://mydomain.remotewebaccess.com - from outside the router, I get page not found.
    The same for https://myexternalIPaddress
If I try https://mydomain.remotewebaccess.com internally, I'm taken to the router login page (with https changed to http).
If I go to https://internalservername (internally) I do get the correct Remote Web Access Login page.

Any suggestions to get RWA working again?

    Which browser are you using?
In FireFox - yes you will see an RDP file download (chrome also i think)
In IE - it will use an ActiveX and will not download the rdp file.Robert Pearman SBS MVP | www.titlerequired.com | www.itauthority.co.uk

DB:2.44:Windows Server Domain Name Management Service Crashing f9

I have not done anything that I am aware of to cause this (no Mesh installed), but I cannot turn on Remote Web Access. The router is correctly set up, but when I check the services required to run RWA,I see that Windows Server Domain Name
Management service will not start. WhenItry to force itto start it crashes (Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly).
