    Are you trying to record from the TV Listings page? Are you clicking record and it is taking you to your DVR manager page but not setting the recording?

    So I upgraded my 7216 with 7232 STB DVR. That process went fine. I am now trying to restore DVR manager app functionality on iPhone. I wish Verizon had specific instructions for restoring App functionality with. DVR Upgrade. Anyway, I logged out of app and then logged back in and new DVR was recognized so that was good. Everything appears to be working buy DVR says "awaiting activation" under "mobile access" and is asking for "DVR Manager Acesss Code". I typed in device is from app and says already assigned to my old DVR. This is confusing. Appears though that app is working just unsure what is going on here. Any insights from anyone?

    We have used the box and online DVR manager without issue for at least a year.

    DVR Manager is suddenly broken.

    DVR records and plays fine through the front panel or the handheld remote.

    DVR Manager now reports "unable to detect a compatible DVR in your household".

    What is the solution?

    Tech support by phone was useless. One agent did not even know what the DVR Manager was. I was told there were 3 boxes in my home, and asked which one was causing me the trouble? I explained there was only one with a DVR... went downhill from there.

    Who has had the same problem and how was it resolved?

    2. Sometimes I just can't wait for a program to finish recording before I want to start watching. When I do this, the software is completely unpredictable. For example, last night, had two programs recording for every time slot in prime time. One of the programs recorded only 1 minute and then shut down. A message popped up saying that another channel was about to record. Selected that it was OK to change the channel and record. Not the first time we've had issues like this.

The software in the those boxes is being upgraded now through end of year to address those issues. you can set up a dvr recording for nascar, if its on the same channel and same time each week. To do this go to a future recording and press info on the guide then press the red record button, then you will see set up a series recording.

    I Have Whole house service. Two HD DVRs, and two non DVR locations. When I select Record on a DVR it records on that DVR. When I Select Record on a Non DVR location it gives me the choice of where tto record to. Iwould like same capability on the DVRs. so I can chose which DVR I want tht program to recordto.     Since you can record two programs in the same time slot on each DVR you have to go to the other DVR Location to program that DVR. But if you were at a No DVR Location you could select which program would record on which DVR location.

    Also I would like the "TO DO" list to show me what is going to be recorded on the other DVR as well as what's going to record on the one i'm on.

    I have seen this posted before but I am not able to duplicate the same problem you are mentioning here. Can you explain the steps you take to change the location in your weather section and exactly when you get the error message.

    Some suggestions, assuming you are on a Windows computer - please indicate if you are not:

    1) Make sure you have at least Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6.0 (if you are using a different browser, please indicate which one). If you are unfamiliar with finding the version number, pull down the Help menu, select About Internet Explorer and you will see the version number. If you are using IE 5.0 or lower, try doing a Windows update (you should find a link for Windows update just inside your Start menu).

    2) Try to reset your Comcast homepage settings to the default. To do this, click on the Modify This Page link at the top of the Comcast.net homepage (it is 2 links to the left of the Sign Out button). This should open a new window where you can click the Default button on the right, then click the Save button and Ok once the settings are saved. Once this is done, try to add a city to your weather section.

    Post back if this doesn't resolve the problem or if you have additional questions.

I can't even change channels with out a 15-30 second delay. I am [assuming] that this is due to the delay in the wireless system.

    I have several questions...

    First, I have to pay a fee ($200) for a second DVR in a second location? I read another post that said it was that fee, plus another $50 for "setup" (per aCSR I just spoke with)and a $6 per month charge. Is this correct?? What would the charge have been if I had them install a second DVR when they did the initial install?

    Next, am I able to move the DVR from the basement (which I have found rarely plays back recorded content) to an upstairs location so the playback will be quick and more responsive instead of having to wait for all of the delays?? Can I just swap them out or does someone else have to do it from Dtv?

    Lastly, if I move it, will I be able to pause live TV on the TV that has the DVR attached? I lost this capability when I switched and I wish I would have been told this from the start when the system was ordered, and I was not. I would have considered renting two DVR boxes from the start instead of a $250 fee plus monthly rental fees.

    Fpapp, if you have a hosts file or some other sort of ad-blocking program set up, you may have to temporarily disable it to get the Firefox plugin installed. You may have to edit its list of blocked sites, also, in order to listen to the stream.If you have a firewall program that logs outgoing connection attempts, take a look at what domains your computer is trying to contact. That's how I found which domains I had to remove from my blocking list to install/use the player.I like the little Rhapsody player, thanks Comcast EDIT: The domains that need to be accessed for the player to stream seem to be:static.realone.comcomcastradio.real.comrhapreg.real.comreal.com and realone.com were on my block list, once I removed them the player worked fine.

    I just had FiOS installed a few days ago and so far, all's great, *except*...

    I'm not able to schedule recordings on my DVR via the web interface or the DVR Manager app on my iPhone, or "see" anything on either of my two DVRs ("Bad Gateway" errors more often than not). I've had a tech case opened after trying to work through in a Live Chat session last night, but I'm curious about a possible cause.

    It's been my understanding that the current Motorola HD DVR gets it's signal for *all* functionality -- all programming, whole house networked DVR, Media Manager -- via coax, using the MoCA network from the ActionTEC router (which also provides WiFi networking). I'm confused by some of the info in the troubleshooting FAQ, though, which talks about the WiFi network. Does the DVR rely on the wireless signal for remote DVR scheduling? If so, that may ultimately be my problem, since my WiFi signal isn't carrying into the living room with much strength.

    Anyone have any idea if WiFi enters into it at all for the DVR?

I tried to reset all connections as I was told, and It keeps telling thatthe service is available in my area but that the DVR is not compatible. I already double checked the web site and this model DCX3400 IS compatible!!!.

    I've called Comcast twice and both times was met with people who didn't understand my issue.

    I'm a frustrated Mac user. I understand that I can't utilize the Home Media DVR because I don't have a PC and I would need to install software. Here's my question:

    It looks like the Home Media DVR contains two features: Multi-Room DVR and Media Manager (and the software is just for Media Manager.) I only want to be able to utilize Multi-Room DVR. Is there a way to separate the two so I can have Multi-Room DVR functionality without having to install any software? I can live without Media Manager, but I'd really love to watch recorded programs from bed!!

    This is so frustrating. I bought all the necessary equipment for Multi-Room DVR (HD DVR and HD set top box) and I can't even take advantage. Ugh! It would've been nice to know beforehand about the PC-only requirement.

    Sorry for the confusion and hassle you are getting trying to get this feature. The service comes with three parts now. The first is the functionality of your non DVR boxes to read off of the DVR hub in your home. The second is the media manager software and the third is the remote dvr service found on www.verizon.com/fiostvcentral. All three features come with the service and it is perfectly acceptable if you don't/can't use them all. They will be there for you in the future if you ever bought a PC. If you wish to have the feature enabled please PM your personal info I will be more than happy to assist.

    Unplug the DVR's power, give it a minute and power it up again. That will rebuild the database for the shows stored on the drive.

The TV listings grid will only display scheduled recording indicators (icons) for the ‘Selected DVR’ that is selected in the myDVR Manager screen or the Settings. Changing this ‘Selected DVR’ to a different DVR will also change the TV listings Grid display of scheduled recordings to that DVR. Do the TV listings Grid display scheduled recordings for all the DVRs (if I have multiple DVRs)? Initially when the recording request has been sent then following message will be presented: ‘your request to record has been sent. Please check myDVR Manager to see if the recording request has been confirmed’For the first few recordings, you should check your DVR set-top box when you schedule from Comcast mobile App. This isto verify that the recording was sent to your DVR set-top box. You will not receive a confirmation or email that your recording was scheduled to your DVR, but the recording will appear in your DVR scheduled recordings list and have the red record indicator instead of the sync indicator you saw when scheduling the recording. Also, the program Details screen and the TV listings grid for that will have the Red record indicator. Sometimes a pending schedule recording just drops off the myDVR Manager list. What does it mean, and what could be the issue? This indicates that the recording request was unsuccessful. There could be multiple reasons:

    Was there a conflict with another recording you had previously scheduled?
    Did the program you scheduled appear on your scheduled recordings list on your DVR?
    Was the program canceled or moved to a different time?
    Did the program airing meet your recording settings? (i.e. Was it a re-run and you have your DVR scheduled to only record new episodes)
    Did you subscribe to the channel you were trying to record on?
    Is the DVR disk space full?

    You can check DVR History on your DVR to see the reason why the show wasn't recorded if it had been scheduled correctly.

    I recently had my DVR box replaced because it was defective. I had previously been managing that DVR using the MyDVR website (and iPhone app). I was trying to add my new DVR so that I can manage that online, but my previous (defective) DVR continues to show as my default DVR and there are no options to add a new DVR or remove the old one. My new DVR is the Motorola RNG200n (I've been told there's also a Cisco box with this same model number, however I'm certain my box is a Motorola).

    When they installed the HD DVR it was installed in my living room and attached to the coax that was there from a previous satellite provider. They attached the Genie Bridge to a coax by the tv in the basement.     Some of us find DVR Manager very useful. I have used it quite often.

    In August I had to make an emergency trip out of town. I took my laptop. When I got to Vandy Medical Center I used my laptop to set up programs to record that night.

    More recently I was admitted to the hospital after going to the ER. Someone brought my laptop to me which I used to set up 2 days worth of recordings.

    As for the "watch On Demand" that would work but very few of the shows I watch are available in On Demand.

    What is "not useful" toone person may be very "useful" to someone else.

    Before I got my laptop I used the phone app to set up recordings when I wasn't home to do so.

    If you have a HR34 Genie, open your menu - smart search - DEXTER - select the second Dexter HD - Coming Soon will be the top entry. If you select that to "record series" it will set up a Dexter series even though there are no upcoming new episodes in the Guide. This feature is available on many popular series that are currently off season.

    This is a new and great feature because heretofore you'd have to wait until a week or so prior to thefirstepisode to set up a series and you may well forget to do so.

    I have a RNG200N and an SA8300HD.

    The SA8300HD works fine. I can manage it via DVR Manager.

    The RNG200N worked in November 2012, I renamed it, scheduled recordings and it worked.

    Now, it says:
    TV Control is not available for this cable box. Why?It showed up briefly today on my mobile device today. But when I tried to display 'Test' on the TV, I got an error. Now my mobile device again says that I only have one DVR.The SA8300HD also works from mobile device.

    Yesterday, we had an internet outage in my area, the TV worked throughout. Later in the evening, I logged on to the DVR Manager website and both my DVRs were there. I checked my mobile device, it was also working. I scheduled recordings, all seemed well. Later I went to see if the recordings were listed in DVR Manager, but alas I once again have only one DVR on the mobile device and the website says '1 DVR is syncing with DVR Manager and is currently unavailable' as it has for ages.

    Also, I did NOT unplug it yesterday. This all happened on it's own (or due to the service interuption)

    I will try unplugging it today and report results, but I am not hopeful.

    Seems to be a common issue with these sorts of mixed network topologies. DECA will solve this for you when it's available. In the mean time it's probably not worth spending much time trying to get them all working.

    I have 2 different locations that have weather stations. From different PC's, I upload each of the weather station's weather data to my comcast home pages so I can view the weather conditions remotely.

    Although both weather stations are still operating and still performing the weather data uploads to the 2 web pages, both web pages only show weather data as of Oct 16th within minutes of each other - one stopped at 5:56pm, and the other at 5:59pm.

    These are separate computers at separate locations ftp'ing data to 2 separate directories in my comcast home page account. Although both stations are still sending data, the two web pages stopped posting the updates at very close to the same time.

    This tells me that something changed on the Comcast side. Directory structure? File handling? Other???

    I can still access my 2 web pages at the same addresses, the data just stopped updating.

    Any ideas?

I've been using the DVR manager in the past without any issues. I tried to re-activate my DVR, but that didn't work. The model number of my DVR is TDC577X. Can you please help me figure out what the issue is and why I can no longer use the DVR manager.     What steps did you take to try to re-activate it? Did you reset your DVR? If you haven't, try unplugging your TDC box for about a minute or so and then plug it in.

    I suggest you do this before you go out or before you go to bed because it will take some time for the grid and features to fully load.

    Let me know the results.

    Yes we did it by advertising a /23 from the other site....a null route with higher AD was used to generate this route for bgp advertisement.

    Internally both locations could talk over private network with combination of ospf eigrp.

    The actual location advertised a longer prefix /24 that was preferred in MPLS Cloud.

    During failure /23 from other site took over.

    I only have one new X1 box in my house. My DVR manager shows two occurrances of "LIVING ROOM", and from one, I dont get/see WATCH ON TV. I only have 3 recorded shows, which I see on the DVR Manager screen.

    One the 2nd occurrance of "Living Room", I see Watch On TV, the DVR shuttle box appears, but when i click on Watch on TV, I get an error that says:

    I recently had to have my old DVR replaced. It was replaced with a Motorola DCX3400. Since it was replaced (on Saturday last week), I've been trying to use the Xfinity TV app, but it doesn't show the new DVR. It shows our other two cable boxes, however.

    Prior to having the DVR swapped, I had zero problems using the Xfinity TV app on my iPhone to control my old DVR. Suddenly, it's not compatible? Under "Manage Cable Boxes DVRs", it lists all three devices, but the DVR says:

    "TV Control is not available for this cable box. Why?" Clicking the "Why?" link takes me to a page which leads me to believe the DCX3400 IS compatible, so I'm at a loss.

    When I go to the DVR Manager page, all it says is:

    "You're now ready to schedule DVR recordings from anywhere.Syncing in ProcessDVR Manager is currently syncing with your DVR."

    I'm looking to determine which DVR featuresshould work in my area (Marlton, NJ - 08053). It's a market with SA/Cisco set-top boxes. I have two DVRs: an SA 8300HD and a Cisco RNG200N, along with another Cisco RNG150N set-top box. The features that I'm interested in are:

    - AnyRoom DVR

    - DVR Manager

    - Caller ID

    I previously had the HD Premier XF bundle and none of the above features worked; I assumed it was either because of the bundle I had or the older 8300HD DVR. I recently called Comcast to get a set-top box for a new TV, and the sales rep suggested I upgrade to HD Complete XF, which would give me AnyRoom DVR and DVR Manager, and he sent me out another DVR box - but still the above features don't work. I've been bounced around the call centers for over a month now, and no one has been able to tell me what services should work. From my research, it appears AnyRoom DVR isn't available (so there's no benefit to me in the upgrade), but I've been told by some Comcast reps that theythink DVR Manager should work, but have no way to verify.

    Could someone please tell me what services should work or not? Is there some department in Comcast which actually knows which service is available? It's bizarre that Comcast sales rep will sell a service without knowing if it actually will work!

    X1 was installed about three weeks ago. I have one X1 DVR (Pace PX001ANM) and one X1 HD box (Pace PR150BNM).

    I can schedule DVR recordings from apps on my iPhone or iPad, but cannot schedule them from any PC. I have tried three different PCs, all with different web browsers, e.g. Internet Explorer 11 or Google Chrome. I have also cleared all cookies, browsing history, etc.

    When I go to http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/mytv/dvr,I sign in and see:

    DVR Manager is available in your area. However, we areunable to detect a compatible DVR in your household.

    At the bottom of the page I do see the name of my DVR, and if I go to Settings Manage Cable Boxes DVRs I do see the name of the DVR and the name of the HD box.

    I have had two tickets opened with Tier2 and they claim that they fixed the problem, but they did not. I am very tired of calling and chatting with Tech Support. Can someone from Comcast please escalate this issue? The previous ticket numbers are: CR366957608 andCR368361754.

In order to determine whether the problem was related to My DVR Manager I cancelled it from the DVR Remote Access Setup menu. However, when I returned to the web portal to view TV listings the feature was still activated, and it automatically reconnected to my DVR.

    I opened a support call with Comcast to find out how to turn it off until I wanted it back. Initially, they weren’t aware of the product (one rep adamantly told me that the feature doesn’t exist) and couldn’t figure out where to send the ticket. After two and a half weeks of callbacks, the final determination was that the feature cannot be deactivated. The suggestions given were to either live with it or find alternate sources of programming information and content (e.g., TV Guide, Hulu) in order to not use the portal.

    I just ordered D-TV and they will be replacing a Dish Network system and adding some receivers. I ordered the following;

    (1) HD DVR

    (1) HD Receiver

    (4) Standard Receivers

    How will this be wired? How many wires from the dish to the utility room where all my coax terminates? I currently have one coax to each of the four standard receivers but the two HD locations have two coax cables. Will the DVR require two or just one? Also, with the new systems, what is required to split the coax coming in from the dish? It use to require a giant multiswitch, but not sure about todays systems.

    I'm trying to getpreppedwith all the cables labeled so a hack installer doesn't make a total mess. :)

I currently have one coax to each of the four standard receivers but the two HD locations have two coax cables. Will the DVR require two or just one? Also, with the new systems, what is required to split the coax coming in from the dish? It use to require a giant multiswitch, but not sure about todays systems.

    I'm trying to getpreppedwith all the cables labeled so a hack installer doesn't make a total mess. :)

    I found this issue before. I am still having the issue where the XFINITY site is telling me "

    I do not have access to update my DVR from anywhere other than in front of the DVR. I would like the option to update a recording from a website, or smart phone. Can someone help me?

    According to DVR manager, location 03304 is eligible for the manager. It has been 4-5 days since activating. If I go to setup, activate is grayed out, setup says setup is complete. I can program the DVR from my phone with no issues, just not my computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    MyDVR works on Motorola DVR's after the feature has been rolled out to the specific system. Comcast sends emails to the subscribers when that is available.

    It works on all Motorola DVR's both standalone and AnyRoom DVR.

    I agree with others that being able to remotely delete DVR recordings would be a valuable feature. I am on road a lot and this would be very useful. Does the My DVR Manager setting of "existing program recording priority with a conflict" override a full DVR recorder?

    If you have a Scientific Atlanta or Cisco DVR, then that is correct, the feature is not yet available to SA area's.

    Right now it's only on Motorola equipped area's.

    I'm trying to schedule my recordings from my computer and after using the link from my main account page I am taken to the DVR Manager page where I see a message saying that Comcast in unable to detect a compatible DVR in my household. This is the message I've been seeing since my service was hooked up Friday.This morning, after being routed through two different departments only to end up in the wrong place again, I spoke to a tech who told me that my DVR was compatible but that DVR Manager was disabled and that she would enable it. Three hours later I still can't use the DVR Manager.After another extended phone call with people who make me think I'm talking to walls, I've just been told that I need to take my DVR to a store and replace it in order to get the DVR Manager to work. Is there nothing besides this that could resolve the issue?

    I just got signed up with Comcast and it has been frustrating; From the chat window "Chris" assuming, despite having been told no, that I had an active account and directing me to contact the retention department, to the hours I've spent on the phone today trying to get the DVR Manager service to work. It's not a good start to my service and I'm really glad that I have 26 days left of the 30 day guarantee.

    Thanks again BlueJay. The tech scheduled to help me today just left and so far, aside from the DVR Manager, things are working again. Turns out the total loss of signal was from a poor install originally. He told me that my signal was a -12 and that he was surprised I had even gotten the day of TV that I managed to watch. He checked the lines and replaced connections between where it leaves the pole and wires to my house and now I'm at +9 strength.

    Now I just need to get billing to prorate my bill because I don't think it's fair to charge me full price for work that wasn't done properly to begin with and lost me two days of TV. I may contact Comcast Ted about that personally because I'm concerned that the people I speak to in the various support areas aren't doing what they actually say they will do.

    Just got whole home and the wife was watching something on the DVR and I was on another tv and tried to watch a show from the same DVR and it would not let me because it claimed it was in use. I dont remember the exact workding it gave me. Is this a limitation of the whole home? You cannot watch 2 differentrecorded program in 2 locations from the same DVR? If so, seems like a big limitation.

    Sometimes you can get a false reading though, at times I'll turn on a DVR and try to watch a show but it will say that it's being viewed on another DVR. No other DVRs in the house are even turned on. Doesn't happen a lot but often enough.

    I got a new DVR: Motorola RNG200N to replace my old one.

    I want to program the new one using DVR Manager through Comcast online. But when I go to my DVR Manager pages, it just shows the old information from the previous DVR. I was hoping that I could make a small change to a scheduled recording online, and then have it apply to my new DVR. But it won't make the handshake as it doesn't recognize this DVR.

    But I can't figure out how, online or with my DVR remote, to add the new DVR to the Manager and remove the old one.

    Just for other information, it's been 3 hours since the swap and it still has a lot of onscreen guide to download. So I'm hoping that doing it online will be more efficient since shows from tomorrow haven't loaded in yet.

    So: How do I remove the old DVR and its settings from the DVR Manager

    How do I get the DVR Manager to recognize the new DVR so I can start setting it up?

    It can take 48 hours or more for new equiment to show up on DVR manager. It should eventually self correct after the databases sync.

    I have two DVRs , both Motorola DCH3416. One has an external hard drive (WD mybook AV). The expanded one is getting full so I went in to "dvr manager" to delete some shows since it will take forever to do it manually. For some reason, I can see the list of recorded shows on the non-expanded one, but I can't see the list of recorded shows on the expanded dvr. I can see the scheduled shows and series priority on both DVRs, and I can schedule recorded shows and do everything else from dvr manager except see (and delete!) the shows on the expanded DVR. So I don't have any network/firewall/connectivity issues. Under "My Recordings" it says "This DVR does not support this feature". I tried power-cycling the DVR to see if it updates, but I still can't see the recorded shows. I am pretty sure this used to work but I am not sure if it worked after I added the external hard drive. Is there a bug where it will not sync with DVR manager if there are too many recorded shows?

    I believe it to be the number of programs recorded. As my count of shows increased, I started to get weird results from the DVR Manager. Now I have the same problem as above.

    I have 2 DVRS. One I call FAMILY ROOM and other DOWNSTAIRS. From my computer DVR Manager i usually set to record on DOWNSTAIRS DVR. I have set DOWNSTAIRS as DEFAULT DVR. BUt now when I schedule it puts it on FAMILY ROOM DVR. And it switches my default DVR to FR. This is frustrating the heck out of me. I never used to have this problem. I can usually switch back by first cancelling the FR recording then it goes to Modify and I can change to DOWNSTAIRS DVR.

    Side note what is TV CONTROL in DVR manager....it has on and off button but no explanation.

    I can confirm on the new format tv listings page the record is sending to the desired DVR here also. The change channel feature doesn't seem to work but I don't care too much about that. Sometimes that feature doesn't work and the next day it does, so it's worth waiting a day and trying again on the channel change.

    Greetings: It seems like My DVR Manager is now available in my area; however, when i access it from xfinity tv website, it just says that it's "synching" and that it can take up to 24 hours. I've left my pc up for a few days and that status never changes.

    It would be nice to know what cable boxes they have. If any of the posters have Cisco or Scientific Atlanta boxes no myDVR even if it appears to be available on the xfinity websites. Doesn't work in SA/Cisco areas yet, at least not mine.

    I can see many recordings on DVR Manager online and through the app, but they don't show up when I access recordings through My DVR through the cable box.

    Also, when I select "Watch on TV" from the DVR Manager, it doesn't always work.

    Finally, the recordings that show through My DVR don't include any program information: episode number, description, etc., but this information DOES show in DVR Manager online.

    Question 1: that fully depends on your transaction management scheme. If you design your methods such that transactions are adopted, then the entity manager and its persistence store are going to be adopted as well.     We traded in our four-year-old Motorola DCT-series DVR for the RNG200N two weeks ago and programming it has been a nightmare. I would program series via the online DVR Manager or the app for iOS, and only one or two programs would actually stick. At this point, I have 9 out of 10 shows programmed, but I cannot program the 10th show from the DVR Manager or the DVR itself.

    A few days ago, I programmed the missing series via the DVR itself because the online DVR Manager kept assigning the wrong channel (syndication instead of first-run network). The program showed up as the tenth item in the DVR's series priority list. Today, it is no longer in the DVR's series priority list, but it shows as item 10 in the online DVR Manager. It does not show that Monday's episode will be recorded via either source.

    "My Recordings" and "Scheduled Recordings" appear to be in-sync with the DVR. Only the series priorty is different.

    When reviewing the series priority list, the DVR freaked out and rebooted. I will try to program the series via the DVR again once the program guide is restored from the reboot. I am incredibly frustrated with the RNG200N, as I did not have these issues with the old DVR.

    ETA: I programmed the series again via the DVR's program guide and six hours later, it disappeared again.
