    DB:3.30:With Recompile In Store Procedure as

    I have following store procedure running very slow in both SSMS and called by application. If we recompile this store procedure, we can see the performance gain and be slow after couple days. We are planning to add with recompile option in procedure create
    statement. However, we don't know whether that will solve this problem or not. This store procedure can be call couple thousand times per day.
    Table2 data is from replication scream and has about 400 - 600 million records. It will update/insert several million records per day.
    Table1 data is not update too often and have about 15 - 20 million records. It will insert 200 - 500K records per day.
    Could anyone explain when we should /[should not] add [With RECOMPILE] option in store procedure creation?

    Hi all!First a general issue: when I customize the richFaces elements like dataTable, dataScroller and so on, which is the default behaviour? Is it a good practice to override the styles defined for the components or is it better to work only with the attributes styleClass, headerClass and so on of the element itself?I think that the second one is the best choice, but I could not find anything on the web explaining which is the best practice in this case.Second, a more specific problem. I'm trying using the styleClass attributes to render a table in this way:
    rich:dataTable id="configTable" value="#{categoryBean.selectedCategory.mailConfigTs}" var="configuration" headerClass="richTableHeader"
    rowClasses="tableRowEven, tableRowOdd"

    Buona sera!(Suppongo tu sei italiano. Mi dispiace, continuo a scrivere in inglese.)Questions on that topic are asked very often. So please read the concerning sections in the developer guide and search in this forum for similar threads to get a basic understanding. You also get some valueable expert answers already given.First: How you customize styles depends on what you want. For example overriding the predefined RF style classes is the best choice if you wanna change the style of all instances of a component (for example dataTable) in a project. If you wanna change the style of a single datatable, you use the styleClass, headerClass and so on attributes (plus some other possibilities).You see there are some basic rules and normally that is everything you have to know.But I also remember the following: a RF user stated some time ago, that customizing is not working like documented. After a long and exhausting discussion an expert from staff found out, that some configurations in the web.xml were wrong.What I wanna say: Styling is normally easy but seldom it can be a little bit tricky - as always when you use JSF component technology.Second: On first glance I notice that you use the headerClass attribute in the columnGroup component. In my opinion that's wrong.Hope it helps!

    I have the following class:
    public int compareTo(Object To){
    SortBy to = (SortBy)To;
    switch (compareType){
    case SORTBYMNEMONIC:
    return getMnemonic().compareTo(to.getMnemonic());
    case SORTBYDEID:
    return getDEID().compareTo(to.getDEID());
    case SORTBYDISPLACEMENT:
    int currentDisp = getDisplacement();
    int compareDisp = to.getDisplacement();
    return currentDisp - compareDisp;
    default:
    return 0;
    }//end switch
    }//end functionthis class is defined in a file called CFReader.java at the bottom (i forgot what
    the proper term for that is). Anyways, in the CFReader.java class I have the
    following variables:
    ArrayList ByMnemonic= new ArrayList();
    ArrayList ByDEID= new ArrayList();
    ArrayList ByDisplacement= new ArrayList();

    //later on in the code I add elements to each of these 3 variables using ArrayList.add()

    SortBy sortedByMnemonic = new SortBy[numberOfMnemonics];
    SortBy sortedByDEID = new SortBy[numberOfMnemonics];
    SortBy sortedByDisplacement = new SortBy[numberOfMnemonics];

    sortedByMnemonic = (SortBy[])ByMnemonic.toArray();
    sortedByDEID = (SortBy[])ByDEID.toArray();
    sortedByDisplacement= (SortBy[])ByDisplacement.toArray();and i am getting a ClassCastException. I tried adding 'extends Object' to my BySort Class declaration to no avail...

    Anyone know what i am going wrong? thanks

    DB:2.85:Classcastexception? xz

    THANKS! this worked PERFECTLY! Can you explain a
    little more extensively
    as to why it worked? I don't understand 'Otherwise
    you just have an Object[],
    which is not a SortBy[], even if all its elements are
    SortBy.'. Why can't I simply cast it? Is it because
    it is an array of objects that i can't cast? thanks!If you don't give toArray an array to use, it just creates a new Object[]. You can't cast a reference to that to a reference to SortBy[].

    Even if A extends B, it is NOT true that A[] extends B[].

    It is so because the JLS says it is so:

    [url http://java.sun.com/docs/books/jls/second_edition/html/conversions.doc.html#20232]Casting Conversion

    Hi,

    I am not sure I understand your purpose exactly. You can access http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa337292.aspx on how to create a parameter in the report with a drop downlist. The article http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms160348.aspx describes how to pass a parameter from a subreport to the Parameter!SortBy?

    Please provide the sample data if this still can’t help you or I misunderstand.

    You should use f:facet name="header" inside column. Or you might use external sorting. See our livedemo for detail.

    DB:2.76:Macro To Set Sort Column In Straight-Table Chart 7j

    Greetings.

    I have a QVW that has a number of charts that gets delivered to a customer. Right now, when I've made modifications, I have to manually go through every straight-table chart and make sure that they're all sorting on the correct column (Patient Last Name). I was hoping to write a macro I could run, to save the manual steps each time.

    I found "SortBy" in the macros, that indicates it will set whatever column number indicate (such as SortBy 1), to the top of the sorting priority. However, when I try applying this, it seems to pick random columns. I assumed it meant internal columns (some of them are hidden) or just by counting the ones displayed, but either way, I'm getting inconsistent results.

    This has got to be something simple and I'm being dense. But I'm not getting any joy with the API Guide. Help! Please!

    DB:2.76:Macro To Set Sort Column In Straight-Table Chart 7j

    Thanks for the response. That's basically the code I have. I tried yours, it works great. I try mine, it doesn't. But some of my charts are minimized. I also have multiple tabs with charts, that I want all processed by the same macro. If I minimize your charts, and try running your macro, it doesn't update the chart. I also moved the button to another tab on your document, and it failed to change any of your charts.

    So - it seems I'm doing the right commands, but it only works if the macro is initiated from the page that has the charts on them, and if they're visible (not minimized).

    I've tried restoring the chart, and changing focus to the page before running SortBy, but it seems to have no affect. Any other ideas?

    DB:2.76:Sort 3rd Party Content 8z

    With content management search, we do not get consistent results with sorting node items from a Documentum repository. It appears that no fields used in the sortBy clause (either Documentum-defined or Portal standard properties) are returning nodes in order. We attempted to instead resort the results after the query with an ArrayList and comparator, but the performance of the page has decreased a few critical seconds. This is deployed on WLP 9.2 (v783464) using Documentum (5.3) SCS and Content Services for BEA.

    %
    String dirQuery = "r_folder_path=='" + inPath + "' cm_isHierarchy==true";
    String fileQuery = "r_folder_path=='" + inPath + "'";
    %

    cm:search id="dirNodes" query="%=dirQuery%" sortBy="cm_nodeName" /
    cm:search id="fileNodes" query="%=fileQuery%" sortBy="subject,title" /

    DB:2.76:Sort 3rd Party Content 8z

    Sure enough, when deployed into an integrated environment, the sort is working now.

    built-in filtering provides only input based filtering. Check our example. It's pretty simple to use filterExpression with your own select.

    DB:2.68:Show/Hide Details In A Richfaces Datatable. 8j

    I'm trying to create a datatable which will be populated from a database using richfaces/jsf. A list of records will be produced and clicking on an image in row will provide further info on that record. I've used the Datatables jquery plugin before for php/html/mysql pages which looked really well. I'd like to implement something similar here but 1) having trouble implementing jquery in jsf and 2) that plug related to HTML tables so don't think it can be used here. I can populate my datatable and clicking on the image will produce more info, but it's in the same column as my image. I'd like to creat a new panel under the row where I can display all my info relatin g to the record. It may be something to do with how I'm nesting things. this is a snapshot of what I'm doing:

    rich:dataTable id="musicBoxList"
    value="#{accountsBean.musicboxes}"
    var="currentMusicBox"
    f:facet name="header"
    rich:columnGroup

    DB:2.67:"Order By" As Paramater And Printing On Report 19

    I would like to show text "order by" on my parameter screen. I couldn't figure out how to do this, so I did the following:

    1. Created a report_helper table with

    (reportid, Display_name, column_name)
    and populated it.

    2. used a query to populate my drop down list box, like:
    select column_name, display_name from report_helper where reportid=1 order by display_name;
    (and hid the column_name, first column)

    3. Added this variable lexically to my SQL query.

    4. Then, when I wanted to display how it was ordered in the report, I did the following:

    function F_1FormatTrigger return boolean is
    begin

    if (:sortby = 'columnx')
    then
    srw.set_field (0,'DisplayNameX');
    elsif :sortby='columny'
    then
    srw.set_field(0,'DisplayNameY');
    else
    srw.set_field(0,'DisplayNameZ');

    end if;

    return (TRUE);
    end;

    This worked, but there must be an "A" method. I have a reputation for making anything work well but not always in the best or most obvious way!

    DB:2.67:"Order By" As Paramater And Printing On Report 19

    Hi Steve,

    In the report you can design the Parameter Form look and feel. You can invoke the Parameter Form at design time and create a boiler plate Text as 'Order By' and beside that you can create a text item and assign the bind parameter created in the SQL query.

    Further if you want you can make it as a pop list with all the available columns by going to the property pallete of that parameter text item and entering static or dynamic LOV.

    I think it will help you.

    Regards,
    Siva.

    Does Berkeley DB XML support XQuery sortby expression?
    I was trying to execute following queries:

    1. collection("collName")/Dummy sortby(@name)

    2. list
    {
    for $p in collection("collName")/Dummy
    return
    item{$p/@name}/item
    sortby(name)
    }
    /list

    None did worked for me. 2nd query satisfies XQuery 1.0 w3c specification.
    What am I doing wrong?

    DB:2.66:Wrtitting Xquery With Sortby cp

    Neither of these queries are valid. The correct keyword for sorting is "order by", and it needs to be used as part of a FLWOR expression - for, let, where, order by and return, in that order.

    DB:2.66:Multiple Datatable Footer Rows In Rf 4.0 7a

    We are using RF 4.0 and need a table that looks something like this.

    NameXYZThis102030That102030The Other102030Subtotal306090Adjustments-55-10Total256580

    The three blue rows are footers. This is a simplified example, in my app the body is 3 nested collapsible sub-tables and the roll-up math is more complex. I need to render the footer for this table with three rows.

    I have tried this:

    f:facet name="footer"

    rich:columnGroup

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="Subtotal" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.sub1]" /

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.adj2}" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.adj3}" /

    /rich:column

    /rich:columnGroup

    rich:columnGroup

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="Total" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.total1]" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.total2}" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.total3}" /

    /rich:column

    /rich:columnGroup

    /f:facet

    But only the first footer row is rendered and the other two are ignored. I tried this:

    f:facet name="footer"

    rich:columnGroup

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="Subtotal" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.sub1]" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.sub2}" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.sub3}" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column breakBefore="true"

    h:outputText value="Adjustments" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.adj1]" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.adj2}" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.adj3}" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column breakBefore="true"

    h:outputText value="Total" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.total1]" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.total2}" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{var.total3}" /

    /rich:column

    /rich:columnGroup

    /f:facet

    But it renders a single row with 12 columns, instead of 3 rows with 4 columns each.

    I have tried some other variations of this (without a columnGroup, etc) but can't get it to render correctly. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thank you very much in advance.

    DB:2.66:Multiple Datatable Footer Rows In Rf 4.0 7a

    We never came up with a solution to this, and ultimately decided not to use collapsibleSubTables for this page (even though in theory they seem to be exactly what we need), due to this and other problems. It seems that collapsibleSubTables are not fully baked in RF 4.0 at this moment.

    For tables like this:

    Title 1

    Subtitle 1.1

    Row 1.1.1

    Subtitle 2

    Row 1.2.1

    Row 1.2.2

    Each row contains inputText's for numeric fields. I found that conversion errors are not displayed for the first row (1.1.1), but are displayed for the other rows (1.2.1 and 1.2.2). For example if I enter "x" for the numeric field, I will get an error message like this:

    lsform:oppProductTable:1:productSubtable:0:productOppSubtable:0:editProductOppQuantity: 'x' must be a signed decimal number consisting of zero or more digits, that may be followed by a decimal point and fraction. Example: 198.23

    ...in the 2nd and subsequent rows, but not the first row. For the first row, the previous value (before the edit) is submitted to the validator. So it seems like the conversion error does not occur for the first row.

    Another issue is that columnGroups don't seem to work for the nested collapsibleSubTable. Here is simplified JSF code:

    rich:dataTable

    rich:collapsibleSubTable

    rich:collapsibleSubTable

    rich:columnx/rich:column

    rich:columny/rich:column

    rich:columnz/rich:column

    rich:column colspan="3" breakBefore="true"summary/rich:column

    /rich:collapsibleSubTable

    /rich:collapsibleSubTable

    /rich:dataTable

    The "breakBefore" is not respected, and the table renders with 4 columns. I tried it with various configurations of columnGroups:

    rich:columnGroup

    rich:columnx/rich:column

    rich:columny/rich:column

    rich:columnz/rich:column

    rich:column colspan="3" breakBefore="true"summary/rich:column

    /rich:columnGroup

    rich:columnGroup

    rich:columnx/rich:column

    rich:columny/rich:column

    rich:columnz/rich:column

    /rich:columnGroup

    rich:columnGroup

    rich:column colspan="3" breakBefore="true"summary/rich:column

    /rich:columnGroup

    rich:columnx/rich:column

    rich:columny/rich:column

    rich:columnz/rich:column

    rich:columnGroup

    rich:column colspan="3" breakBefore="true"summary/rich:column

    /rich:columnGroup

    rich:columnGroup

    rich:columnx/rich:column

    rich:columny/rich:column

    rich:columnz/rich:column

    /rich:columnGroup

    rich:column colspan="3" breakBefore="true"summary/rich:column

    etc. but could not get it to render as it should. It seems like columns that are within a columnGroup are ignored, only columns outside of the group are rendered, but breakBefore is not respected.

    Hi!Is there a new way of working with columns when using the extendedDataTable?We have 8 columns, 7 of them are plain rich:Column without any special attributes and the 8th one has breakBefore="true" and colspan="7" and is used for extended information. See below:|Col 1|Col 2|Col 3|Col 4|Col 5|Col 6|Col 7|| Column 8 |When we used the DataTable, everything worked just fine then I tried to use the extended one, and I cant get it to work the way I want to. It seems like the breakBefore nor the colspan work since column 8 always end up to the right of column 7. I have removed all logic used for the rendered="true/false" and uses hardcoded values to simplify the tests.Hence my question is: Is it supposed to work just like before with the DataTable or have I missed something?

    seems not supported for extendedTable. feel free to submit RFC. But think this will be targeted to 4.0. We planning to review the tables to create unified one.

I have a parameter called 'Sortby' in the report, I changed the groups static sorting from  =Fields!LName.Value to =Parameters!Sortby.value, with the value of Sortby a string of the field I want to sort. ie: Sortby = Fields!WHatever.valueThis does not work for me, is this possible? The report does not sort any different when I pass these parameters in when using the Sortby parameter. The report does sort perfect using a static field.I can pass parameters into the report, because when I use them for the report header in a label they work perfectly.Any help would be appreciatedThanksBill

    DB:2.64:Is It Possible To Change Grouping And Sorting With A Parameter? 8z

    Thanks, I had almost given up. In fact I created several reports that the grouping was hard-coded, I just got done deleting all except one report, and I can use a dropdown box to select grouping and sorting. Life is good!Again ThanksBill

    I'had seen this calling of the method without specify arguments in #{filteringBean.filterStates}there:Rich faces demo
    I have done the same thing of the example above!So I tink the problem is elsewere :(

    Hi,It's possible using richfaces to create a dataTable with dynamic columnGrouping?I.E. when i click in a column header it expands/collapses, grouping/disgrouping columns, changing colspans/rowspans/breakBeforePart of my xhtml table:
    ...
    f:facet name="header"
    rich:columnGroup
    rich:column rowspan="3"#{a.b} /rich:column
    rich:column colspan="12"#{b.c}/rich:column

    ...
    /rich:columnGroup

    Simplifying the post, is it possible to define my dataTable column grouped header on java beans(colspans, rowspawns, breakbefore's, etc), to make them dynamic or they must be static at my .xhtml page ?

    DB:2.57:Disabling Client Side Sorting In Extendeddatatable mm

    I'm using rich faces 3.3.0 and the extended data table with a data table scroller. We're using the data scroller, because we're displaying a given user's activities, and that user might have thousands. Because of this, I need to disable the client side sorting, and capture the "onsort" event so that I can have our service perform the sorting and return to me the set of activities the user wants to see.Along with this, I'm wondering if there's a way to disable the "group by functionality" as well?Here's the code:
    a4j:outputPanel

    Switching sort controls off doesn't mean that sort is disabled. You can provide your own controls:

    DB:2.57:≪Cm:Select - Want To Set Query Param At Run Time 81

    Hi,

    I've just started using the personalization server and have a question
    regarding the content manager tag.

    The JSP that runs generates some value that I want to use in the query
    parameter. In the following example, I would like to replace the 02 with a
    dynamic value:

    cm:select contentHome="com.beasys.commerce.axiom.document.Document"
    query="parentId = '02'" sortBy="ibioObjType ASC" id="objList" /

    So if the JSP had a String variable myVal, essentially, I want to do this

    cm:select contentHome="com.beasys.commerce.axiom.document.Document"
    query="parentId = 'theValueOfMyValInHere'" sortBy="ibioObjType ASC"
    id="objList" /

    Any ideas would be gratefully received - thanks in advance,

    We have found the source of problem. rich:scrollableDataGrid used to be developed in the sandbox set. Last week it is moved to the production set. scrollableDataGrid has own column component.The conflict happens because of correlation between two rich:column components that are in the same namespace now. The rich:column of scrollableDataGrid overwrites the dataTable's one because it has a priority, alphabetically speaking.We are working to resolve this issue now.

    DB:2.55:Rich:Datatable With A Static Content? zx

    Hi guys!

    Can I make a rich:dataTable with a static content? I mean without list with data (and of course without var="record" value="#{report.expReport.records}" )

    I mean i just need to make an analog of this html code using richfaces:

    table

    thead colspan="2"

    td/td

    /thead

    tr

    td/td

    td/td

    /tr

    /table

    I can't understand why, but I can't do this. Everytime I see just header part.

    That's one of my attempts:

    h:dataTable width="100%"

    f:facet name="header"

    h:column colspan="2"

    h:outputText value="Header text" /

    /h:column

    /f:facet

    h:column breakBefore="true"

    h:outputText value="123" /

    /h:column

    h:column

    h:outputText value="456" /

    /h:column

    /h:dataTable

    Thank for your help!

    DB:2.55:Rich:Datatable With A Static Content? zx

    The problem is with richFaces. Static tables are not skinned, and look completely different. You have to provide the "look" manually (by applying all kinds of css styles), which is awful.

    **The solution is: use rich:dataTable, providing some dummy value** (*rich:dataTable value="DummyStaticValue"*) and use *rich:columnGroup* together with *rich:column*. Your combination will only be rendered once (because of the dummyValue being just a string), and you can get any table structure you want.

    rich:dataTable width="100%" value="DummyStaticValue"

    f:facet name="header"

    h:outputText value="myHeader" /

    /f:facet

    rich:columnGroup

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="myValue1" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="myValue2" /

    /rich:column

    /rich:columnGroup

    rich:columnGroup

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="myValue3" /

    /rich:column

    rich:column

    h:outputText value="myValue4" /

    /rich:column

    /rich:columnGroup

    /rich:dataTable

    DB:2.55:Table With Two Rows Of Header And Sort On One Column xp

    Question from a newbie. I have a screen where I need to display a table with the header split onto two rows and the data will be in two rows and sortby on one of the columns.

    What it would look like is below (ignore the header column on the table) and would want to be able to sort the table by age

    Header 1Header 2Header 3header row 1 nameagegenderheader row continued on next line heightweighthair colorfirst row of data John30male6 feet200 lbsbrownsecond row of data Mary30female5 feet125 lbsred

    The data displays ok in the solution I have now but once I put the sortby attribute on the age column it ends up creating a third row of header for the sort icon and in my example above it would put it under the weight header. What I have to display the table is very similar to the following example from the documentation but again when I put the sortby I have to put it on the h:outputText instead of the header column and this causes

    the third row of header. What I would like is for the sort icon to be displayed with the header age. Anyone know how to do that. A table with two header rows and sortby one of the columne?

    rich:dataTable value="#{capitalsBean.capitals}" var="cap" rows="5" id="sublist"f:facet name="header"rich:columnGrouprich:column rowspan="2"h:outputText value="State Flag"//rich:columnrich:column colspan="3"h:outputText value="State Info"//rich:columnrich:column breakBefore="true"h:outputText value="State Name"//rich:columnrich:columnh:outputText value="State Capital"//rich:columnrich:columnh:outputText value="Time Zone"//rich:column/rich:columnGroup/f:facetrich:columnh:graphicImage value="#{cap.stateFlag}"//rich:columnrich:columnh:outputText value="#{cap.state}"//rich:columnrich:columnh:outputText value="#{cap.name}"//rich:columnrich:columnh:outputText value="#{cap.timeZone}"//rich:column/rich:dataTable

    DB:2.54:Datatable With Sort, Filter And Datascroller = Issue mm

    Hello,

    I am trying to setup a rich:dataTable with filter / sort and datascroller. With the following summary of code, it's working as expected :

    ... rich:column filterBy="#{pdv.produitId}" sortable="true" sortBy="#{pdv.produitId}" f:facet name="header" h:outputText value="#{Messages.Dialogue_FiltreTri}" / /f:facet h:outputText value="#{pdv.produitId}" / /rich:column... f:facet name="footer" rich:datascroller renderIfSinglePage="false" maxPages="5" id="ds1" reRender="dt1, genericErrorPopupContent" / /f:facet But my needs are a little bit different. Built-in filter use the startWith method and I would like to use an equals method.To do that, I tried several method but each time, I have a behaviour that I cannot correct.So I decided to update my code step by step.

    First test with an external filter :

    rich:column sortable="true" sortBy="#{pdv.produitId}" filterMethod="#{pageDeVenteBackingBean.doIdProduitFilter}" f:facet name="header" h:outputText value="#{Messages.Dialogue_FiltreTri}" / h:inputText value="#{pageDeVenteBackingBean.idProduitFilter}" maxlength="3" size="3" a4j:support event="onkeyup" ignoreDupResponses="true" requestDelay="700" reRender="dt1" focus="input" / /h:inputText /f:facet h:outputText value="#{pdv.produitId}" / /rich:column ... f:facet name="footer" rich:datascroller renderIfSinglePage="false" maxPages="5" id="ds1" reRender="dt1, genericErrorPopupContent" / /f:facet In this case, when I click on the inputText, I cannot enter any value and the sorted function is launchedIf I remove the sortable and sortBy attribute, filter is working except when I use the datascroller. When I click on the datascoller, filter value is deleted.I can correct the sort behaviour If I duplicate rich:column, one for the filter, one to sort data. In this case, the datascroller issue is still there. f:facet rich:column h:outputText value="#{Messages.Dialogue_Filtre} : " / h:inputText value="#{pageDeVenteBackingBean.idProduitFilter}" maxlength="3" size="3" a4j:support event="onchange" reRender="dt1" / /h:inputText /rich:column /f:facet rich:column breakBefore="true" sortable="true" sortBy="#{pdv.produitId}" filterMethod="#{pageDeVenteBackingBean.doIdProduitFilter}" f:facet name="header" h:outputText value="#{Messages.Dialogue_Tri}" / /f:facet h:outputText value="#{pdv.produitId}" / /rich:column ... f:facet name="footer" rich:datascroller renderIfSinglePage="false" maxPages="5" id="ds1" reRender="dt1, genericErrorPopupContent" / /f:facet

    Software version used :jsf 1.2_09-b02facelets 1.1.14richfaces 3.3.3 Finaljdk 1.6.0_07tomcat 6.0

    In advance thanks for your advice

    I find this solution:

    rich:column id="c1" filterMethod="#{ManagerPageBean.filterVar}" width="200px" sortable="true" sortBy="#{var.valor}"

    f:facet name="header"

    h:inputText value="#{ManagerPageBean.campoFilter}" onclick="Event.stop(event)"

    a4j:support event="onkeyup" ignoreDupResponses="true" requestDelay="700" reRender="dt1,ds1" focus="input" /

    /h:inputText

    /f:facet

    h:outputText value="#{var.valor}" /

    /rich:column

    The filter, sorted function and the value are oK.

    Hi,
    In order to add dynamic sorting to a Linq-result i use following code:

    IEnumerable source = db.Holiday;

    foreach (string propertyName in sortBy.Keys)
    {
    IOrderedEnumerable orderedEnumerable = source as IOrderedEnumerable;
    string propName = propertyName;
    if (null == orderedEnumerable)
    {
    if (ASC == sortBy[propertyName])
    {
    source = source.OrderByobject(h = getKeySelector(h, propName));
    }
    else
    {
    source = source.OrderByDescendingobject(h = getKeySelector(h, propName));
    }
    }
    else
    {
    if (ASC == sortBy[propertyName])
    {
    source = orderedEnumerable.ThenByobject(h = getKeySelector(h, propName));
    }
    else
    {
    source = orderedEnumerable.ThenByDescendingobject(h = getKeySelector(h, propName));
    }
    }
    }
    result = source.Skip(skip).Take(take).ToList();

    In my project I will often need this functionality. But not only for the linq-table Holiday, i need it for several tables. Therefore I tried to make a method with undeclared types, but I didn't succeeded..
    Is it possible? Do you have an idea?
    Thanks a lot!

    DB:2.51:Sbs 2011 Freezing Every Few Days.. 8m

    Had theexactsame issue, and it was NOD32 that was theculprit, removed NOD32 and tried Trend Worry Free 7 that also had issues with SBS 2011 so have now gone to AVG Business Ed and all seems to be working fine.

    Good luck with it.

    BTW I have heard other admins have also had sucess with Symantec Endpoint Small Business Ed.

    I researched this and found an article that said to put the Exchange Enterprise Servers group in a local policy.  When I went looking for the group, it didn't exist.  I cannot find anything about this group.  Is this something that was done away with in Exchange 2007?  If not, how do I fix this problem?

    I appologize for not getting back with this.  I am behind on a deadline.

    I solved my problem. It turned out to be the NIC drivers.  When I installed the latest NIC drivers, my errors went away.

    DB:2.51:Ssrs Report Not Displaying Data In Correct Order 9c

    Guys,
    I have a SSRS 2012 report not displaying returned records from SQL in the correct order. Running the stored procedure in SSMS and supplying the parameter values returns the data correctly and running Query Designer in SSRS using the stored procedure
    on the dataset in question, likewise returns the data correctly. Only when I run the actual report does the data display incorrectly(always last name order). I've done similar reporting using very similar stored procedures and I've never had this
    problem. Below is the stored procedure. @SortBy is the parameter with the sorting value. 1=Due Date; 2=Denial Amt and 3=Last name and is passed by SSRS to SQL. Wish I could supply screen shots.
    Thanks for any help,
    Dave

    Thanks Simon; JediSQL andVisakh16for
    your help. Turns out I had started the report with a matrix layout (Patient Name) and the rest was a table layout which must have been why it kept sorting by patient name. I knew it was something stupid! Once I recreated the entire report
    in a table layout everything worked like it was supposed to. Thanks again for your help and I'll do my best not to post another self-inflicted problem. :)

    DB:2.51:Problems With Sortby In Cm:Search zf

    I am having trouble using sortBy inside of a cm:search.

    Does anyone have this working in 8.1?
    I get the documents back they just aren't sorted.

    We are using Stellent and are using their document provider that was
    built for WLP 7.0
    We have it configured and are getting data back but its not in the right
    order.
    Stellents debug makes it appear as though WLP is adding a "toProperty"
    that shouldn't exist for the SortField.

    Perhaps the syntax has changed for 8.1. { The docs are a little vague }

    I am using similiar syntax to previous version i.e. sortBy="title ASC"

    thanks for your help in advance,

    Jay

    DB:2.51:Problems With Sortby In Cm:Search zf

    This was helpful in 8.1sp5.brbr
    In accords with edocs, I added a column into cm_node and referenced that in the explicit field under the type properties.brbr
    I was having problems getting the sortBy to work. Using the column name in cm_node did not work (although it seemed to fail on that value). Using the field name without toProperty did nothing (portal in effect ignored the sortBy field).brbr
    Finally had success using:brbr
    cm:search id="allnodes" query="%=fullQuery%" sortBy="toProperty('BEA Repository/[TYPE]', '[FIELD]') DESC" /brbr
    Thanks!br

    I have a page that is running appallingly slow.
    I have provided code below.
    Question 1: Can anyone spot the problem?
    Question 2: What tools are recommended for analysing the problem.
    This is running on Prod just as slow (if not slower) than Dev.
    There are a lot of set/gets as @Out with boolean doesn't work so you have to add routines (not that I even found why in the manual). Another little quirk of Seam I guess. Have code with @Out for most private values and then put/get for booleans...

    I use rich:dataTable heavily and haven't noticed any problems with it. Mileage varies I guess. I don't use the filtering or sorting. Maybe they have more of an impact?
    I haven't tried the FacesTrace but one thing that I've found invaluable is the Bean-Timing Interceptor that Tobias Hill posted here a while ago. I use it to ascertain whether I'm spending too much time in any particular method especially those used for rendering.
    Cheers,
    Damian.

    DB:2.51:Display Rows Or Columns In Different Color Based On A Condition 91

    There are two options for you which I know:

    1) Use rowClasses attribute of rich:dataTable
    rowClassesfalsefalsejavax.el.ValueExpression (must evaluate to java.lang.String)Comma-delimited list of CSS style classes that will be applied to the rows of this table. A space separated list of classes may also be specified for any individual row. Thes styles are applied, in turn, to each row in the table. For example, if the list has two elements, the first style class in the list is applied to the first row, the second to the second row, the first to the third row, the second to the fourth row, etc. In other words, we keep iterating through the list until we reach the end, and then we start at the beginning again.
    2) Use styleClass attribute of rich:column where you can use EL expression like #{student.grade == 'A Grade' ? 'css1' : 'css2'}
    styleClassfalsefalsejavax.el.ValueExpression (must evaluate to java.lang.String)Assigns one or more CSS class names to the component. Corresponds to the HTML "class" attribute.

    built-in sorting can provide only input components. Is it so really complex to use your own input with support inside as it shown at second tab of the demo?

    DB:2.46:Sorting Spigot Data a8

    I am creating a custom written processor to accomplish the simple task of sorting a data set based on the values of one column. I have seen an example custom processor with the following behaviour (nested within results tags):
    view name="counter" viewtype="variable" metricid="2" sortby="cp.countcol d" drilldown="bytype"
    guidata
    labelCredit card types/label
    /guidata
    !-- Type and count --
    columns
    columnset name="cp" ref="countpercent"/
    column name="typecol" datum="$key"
    guidatalabelType/label/guidata
    /column
    !-- Number and % of records matching the pattern --
    /columns
    /view
    As you can see on line 1, there is a sortby attribute. Is it possible to apply this same attribute to a spigot?If that is not possible, is there another way that the outputted data can be sorted by one attribute?

    DB:2.46:Sorting Spigot Data a8

    Fair enough. Thought it was worthwhile to give it a try. Thanks for your help.

    I am using a datatable with both sorting and filtering. When I click on a inputText to enter a filtering criteria, it directly sorts the datatable by the selected column. Here is the xhtml code. How can I prevent that the datatable will be sorted when I click on the inputtext?

    f:facet name="header" h:inputText value="#{gateListAction.selectorSerial}" id="inputSerial" a4j:support event="onkeyup" reRender="gateList" requestDelay="500" oncomplete="setCarriageToEnd(event);"/ /h:inputText /f:facet

    What is the meaning of pageSize attribute when doing user search request?

    I could not find any description of its meaning in documentation.

    With prior versions of BAS, I was able to pull all users with such a request in

    Java, but now they are limited to some 500 users/accountsonly.

    I am now dealing with the following environment:

    -BES 5.0.3 MR6 (5.0.3.31)

    -running on Win 2003 SP2 (Windows/2003 5.2 Intel) on Domino Release 8.5.2FP2 HF148.

    -DB SQL Serverinstances on 64 bit SQL 2008R2 (10.50.2500.0)

    Here is the Javacode that worked in the past and now is misbehaving:

    GetUsersRequest request = newGetUsersRequest();
    request.setMetadata(_meta);

    GetUsersSearchCriteria searchCriteria =newGetUsersSearchCriteria();
    searchCriteria.setEmailAddress("@");

    request.setSearchCriteria(searchCriteria);
    request.setPageSize(500);

    GetUsersSortBy sortBy =newGetUsersSortBy();

    sortBy.setDISPLAYNAME(true);
    sortBy.setValue("DISPLAY_NAME");
    request.setSortBy(sortBy);
    request.setSortAscending(true);

    GetUsersResponse response =_bws.getUsers(request);

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    DB:2.46:Pagesize Meaning In User Search Request 39

    For #1 you pass the page number as a parameter then check the results to see if they are less than the page size, if the returned results are less than the page size then you are at the end. This functionality is shown in the code sample for getUsers():

    http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/bds/bws/enterprise/admin/6.0.0/com/rim/ws/enterprise/admin...

    #2, this is described in the parameters section of the getUsers call:

    pageSize - number of users to return on the current page. A page size less than or equal to zero will return all of the remaining users on a single page.

    DB:2.46:Datatable Copying Table Sorting Issue 3d

    Hey guys, Seems like a pretty straight forward and simple thing but I'm going sorta nuts with it.  I call my changeInventorySort method when someone changes the sort order of a ListView and I call my getInventoryByPage method when they page.  The issue I'm running into is that when I do the CopyToDataTable in my paging function it always applies the default sort regardless of what order my table that I'm copying is in.  Anyone have any suggestions so I don't have to resort my table each and everytime I want to page.         public void changeInventorySort(string sortBy)         {             dt_Inventory = dt_Inventory.Select(null , sortBy).CopyToDataTable();         }                 public DataView getInventoryByPage(int pageSize , int pageNumber)         {             int startRow = ((pageNumber - 1) * pageSize) + 1;             int endRow = startRow + pageSize;                         dt_Inventory.DefaultView.ApplyDefaultSort = false;             return dt_Inventory.Select(RowNumber = + startRow + AND RowNumber + endRow).CopyToDataTable().DefaultView;         } Thanks, AjIf at first you don't succeed, skydiving is definitely not for you!

    DB:2.46:Datatable Copying Table Sorting Issue 3d

    Thanks for taking the time to respond, but what you suggest wouldn't be practical for my purposes - I don't want the overhead of sorting each time a user wishes to page, if I have a lot of records in my table it'd make paging pretty painful I actually figured out what I was doing wrong...the problem was in my logic (as usual...lol).  I'm filtering for rows based on a row number column which I didn't bother to reorder when I change my sort order...:::slaps forehead:::... I added the following to my changeInventorySort function after I sort my table:    for (int i = 0 ; i dt_Inventory.Rows.Count ; i++)   {        dt_Inventory.Rows[i][RowNumber] = i + 1;      } Now my sort function works just fine. Thanks for the suggestion, AjIf at first you don't succeed, skydiving is definitely not for you!

    the same tab on the Exchange server we see all 3 of the DCs listed. We have run a few different commands at the command prompt which have listed the other 2 DC servers as DC and GC roles installed. Almost everything I see on the web is talking
    about moving my exchange or some other kind of stuff but not much that I can find about removing an outdated DC.
    So can someone help me?

    DB:2.45:Remove 2003 Dc Breaks Owa - Cant Change Global Catalog Server d3

    There must be some kind of hard coded dependency on that server.
    You are sure that Exchange isn't installed on that server?
    When you say you have gone down the DCPROMO path, what exactly do you mean? Did you take the global catalog role away from it? Did you then restart the Exchange services so that the servers use another DC? It could be some other dependency on that server
    unrelated to the domain controller functionality.

    Do content type updates for third-party repositories require any Portal action to take effect? For example, when the schema is updated from Documentum and republished, the new schema is not reflected.

    My content disappeared when attempting to perform a query with a new column in the sortBy field:
    cm:search id="fileNodes" query="%=fileQuery%" sortBy="subject,title" /

    I started receiving the error:
    com.documentum.beaspi.common.DocumentException: ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended

    I interpret this as a bad sortby clause which could be caused by a missing column (subject was part of the new schema in this case).

    I attempted to simply disconnect the repository and re-add it back, but the same error continued.

    Hello,

    Can anyone confirm this with RichFaces 3.3.3? Or is it something I'm missing? Here's my code:

    DB:2.44:Rich Faces Rich:Datatable Missing Rows With Child Rich:Datatable 99

    I have found that when rich:dataTable objects get nested, the rows in one of the first sub-tables do not get rendered on the resulting webpage. Has anybody found this before or can anybody suggest a solution?

    I have created a dummy jsf page and backing bean that demonstrates my problem. Apologies if this is a long post but I think I'm better off giving proper detail.

    In the example I created 4 nested datatables (see jsf below), where each datatable is used to display an object in the following hierarchy:

    Farm

    --Field

    --Animal

    --Tag

    Each item in the hierarchy has three children (so each farm has 3 fields, each field has 3 animals and each animal has 3 tags). Given the code below, I would expect the tables to be displayed as follows:

    farm1

    --field1

    --animal1

    --tag1

    --tag2

    --tag3

    --animal2

    --tag4

    --tag5

    --tag6

    --animal3

    --tag7

    --tag8

    --tag9

    --field2

    --animal4

    --tag10

    --tag11

    --tag12

    --animal5

    --tag13

    --tag14

    --tag15

    --animal6

    --tag16

    --tag17

    --tag18

    --field3

    --animal7

    etc.

    etc.

    However, what is actually rendered is the following (i.e. the animals in field1 are not listed):

    farm1

    --field1 (the animals are not listed for this field)

    --field2

    --animal4

    --tag10

    --tag11

    --tag12

    --animal5

    --tag13

    --tag14

    --tag15

    --animal6

    --tag16

    --tag17

    --tag18

    --field3

    --animal7

    etc.

    I can see from the debug that the backing bean has the correct data so I don't think it's a data issue.

    If I remove the last nested dataTable from the jsf page (marked 'TROUBLESOME TABLE' in the jsf below), then it will render correctly. For example it will display as:

    farm1

    --field1

    --animal1

    --animal2

    --animal3

    --field2

    --animal4

    --animal5

    --animal6

    --field3

    --animal7

    etc.

    The jsf page looks like this:
    ui:define name="body"
    a4j:form id="coOpForm"
    rich:dataTable id="farmsTable" value="#{coOpBean.farms}" var="farmVar" width="100%"
    rich:column

    h:outputText value="#{tagVar.code}" /

    I have since lodged a bug against richfaces - sadly as I have to use an older version of richfaces (for compatibility) there will not be a fix for this. The solution therefore was to not nest rich datatables more than three times.
