    DB:3.69:Deployment Units Containing Supporting Java Classes jp

    Are there any considerations or restrictions on supplementary java classes residing in the same maven artifact containing BPM processes to be deployed?

    More details.

    My team is upgrading our jbpm application from jbpm-6.0.1.Final to jbpm-6.1.0.CR1We are getting deployment errors for BPM processes that were previously deploying successfully with jbpm-6.0.1.FinalHere is error message

    Deployment of unit com.unisys.spc.bpm:StatusPoller:4.0.30773 failed: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to instantiate JAXBContext for deployment 'com.unisys.spc.bpm:StatusPoller:4.0.30773'.

    We get same results when deploying using REST API or manually using KIE Workbench.We think this error is caused by non-serializeable java classes located in the maven artifact we are deploying.In other words, the artifact StatusPoller-4.0.30773.jar contains non-serializeable java classes in addition to a BPM process.If we move the non-serializeable java classes to a separate jar file, then StatusPoller artifact and its BPM process seem to successfully deploy and execute.Is there syntax that we can provide in kmodule.xml or deployment-descriptor.xml that resolves this issue without having to refactor our BPM java projects?Or is it best to refactor our maven artifacts containing BPM processes to be deployed and move any "supporting" java classes to a separate jar?

    DB:3.69:Deployment Units Containing Supporting Java Classes jp

    We are still having trouble deploying some of our processes in jbpm-6.1.0.CR1

    Is there any way to increase the logging verbosity relevant to deployment processing that might give us more clues?

    Server.log doesn't give any clues other than

    16:27:48,748 ERROR [org.kie.remote.services.rest.jaxb.DynamicJaxbContext] (http-0.0.0.0-0.0.0.0-8080-2) JAXB context instance could not be found when undeploying deployment 'com.unisys.spc.bpm:CommissionVm:4.0.31430'!

    Hi Prakash,

    We just moved some java JSP's/code to a new Apache2(2.0.55)/Tomcat5.5.12 running Java 1_05_05 server.

    Java -version:
    java version "1.5.0_05"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_05-b05)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.5.0_05-b05, mixed mode)

    I get a similar error that deals with invalid headers.

    This code(.jar/jsp's) have been running on a tomcat 4 server with Java 1_4:
    /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_02/bin/java

    Any idea why I might be getting this error, is it related to this previous post?

    Also If you are able to load the same java class succesfully thru

    DB:2.64:Problem Creating Jar File 3m

    I am trying to create a jar file containing the package with my classes, the image directory, an icon file and supporting jar files. What is the best way to do this.

    eg my dir structure is
    /com/gso/aap (contains all my classes)
    /images (contains images)
    icon2d64.ico (icon file in base directory)
    acrobat.jar (jar file in base directory)
    jt400.jar (jar file in base directory)
    itext-1.02b.jar (jar file in base directory)
    manifest.mf

    What I have tried so far is:

    I have tried using the following command without luck
    jar cfm ged.jar manifest.mf com images icon2d64.ico acrobat.jar jt400.jar itext-1.02b.jar

    This creates a jar file ok but when I go to run
    java -jar ged.jar

    I come up with an error saying:
    Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from ged.jar

    This

    Thanks

    DB:2.64:Problem Creating Jar File 3m

    Ged, it's still advisable that you learn how JARs work. You'll need them for NativeJ too, anyway...
    Try calling jar cvmf ... - 'v' stands for 'verbose'. It will show you every file it adds to the jar.
    You can see if everything you want is being added or not....

    You do not need to put anything into system classpath.
    How did you package your application and what is the error
    message?

    DB:2.54:Deploying Common-Utilities And Third-Party Classes 9p

    In your documentation you state that several jar-libraries (containing
    utilities, third-party classes, jdbc-drivers and also I suppose classes for
    custom realms) needs to added to the Java system classpath.
    This probably also means that they will not be distributed from the
    administration server to the managed servers as applications does. Since
    most non-trivial applications include startups, custom realms and so forth
    it renders the distribution feature (ie. from admin server to managed
    server) virtually useless. Installs needs to be made on all nodes anyway.

    One example on a solution for this is to distribute these jar-libraries to
    the new node-manager which then starts up the server with these jar-files on
    the classpath?

    Also one could include the startup and shutdown-classes in a
    weblogic-specific enterprise application deployment-descriptor so that these
    are run in the same classloader as the enterprise application. Most
    non-trivial startups probably needs to run in this classloader anyway. (If
    they for example access ejbs etc.)
    An alternative implementation would be to specify a servlet with a
    load-on-startup, but I'm not sure at what time the servlet will be loaded.
    Is this a recommended strategy for startup-classes that needs to run in the
    application classloader?

    IMO it's up to you, it's a preference/experience thing. I prefer c# you prefer Java. Both are more than capable of consuming/providing REST. There are numerous platforms and frameworks to help out. Sorry but there really is a big difference, everything

    Hi,
    I have a question about the class Class. Assume that I have written a program containing 3 classes (say 1.java, 2.java, 3.java). Now, when the program is compiled, we get 3 classes namely 1.class, 2.class and 3.class. Are these the classes that actually contain the meta-data needed when a new object of that class is created OR are there going to be 3 other classes that is loaded by JVM when these classes are loaded, and that contain info abt these classes?

    Thanks for the help in advance.

    Aravind

    DB:2.52:Class Object cd

    Well, first off 1.java, 2.java, 3.java won't compile... ;-

    Anyway, yes, the .class files contain all the information necessary to construct instances of a class and to define its fields, constructors, methods, etc. The instance of Class associated with the particular Java class derived from the contents of the .class file.

    From what I can determine after accessing this website that requires JRE 1.4.2_12, the registry has been updated by JRE 1.5.0_10. All the clsids for all JREs have been updated to point to c:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_10\ssv.dll.

    CAFEEFAC-*0014-0002-0012*-ABCDEFFEDCBA\InprocServer32 points to c:\Program Files\Java\jre*1.5.0_10*\bin\ssv.dll.

    I've seen a few postings where setting the EnableSecureStaticVersioning stops JRE 1.5.0_10 from dynamic versioning but I am unable to get that to work. One posting said to set it in HKCU and HKLM but that does not work either.

    I'm probably missing something obvious, but here goes. Used JDeveloper 3.0 to create a couple of JAVA classes which use JDBC as well as a couple of JVM classes, e.g., LinkedList and Comparable. Compiles and tests ok within JDeveloper. However, when I try to use the Deployment Wizard, the deployment fails. The reason seems to be that the references to the JVM classes cannot be resolved, i.e. java/util seems to be missing. I checked my database for JAVA CLASSES and there are over 4,000 objects. Could this be a permissions thing? and if so, how do I correct it?

    In my project I need to reference some of java classes from non standard classpath, e.g., from ${JAVA_HOME}/lib/tools.jar.

    Using maven build I can reference them by system type dependency, this is no problem for esb build phase.

    But I have problem with deployment.

    Does jboss-packaging-maven-plugin support converting such dependency to esb deployment descriptor parameters ?

    Thanks adn regards,

    Logs will not help in this matter.From the scurity standpoint I do not want to include such tools.jar into classpath on the application server level.

    The perfect solution would be if esb archive will contain META-INF/MANIFEST.MF in which I can define "Class-Path: ..." and ESB deployer will take it into acoount during deployment. Unforunately it does not work (checked).

    DB:2.50:Pipeline Packaging/Deployment 1k

    Hi Fred,

    "Creating a Pipeline and Adding it to a Webflow"
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wlp/docs70/dev/navigate.htm#1009728

    This section of the docs implies the solution, but is probably not specific enough.
    I will ask our doc team to enhance this section. In the meantime:

    Notice, from the doc, that PipelineComponents are scoped to your J2EE app (not to the
    web app, like InputProcessors). Therefore, you want to package them in a way that
    the application classloader will pick them up (not the system classloader and not the
    web classloader). There is a good article by John Mussler on the hierarchy of
    classloaders used by WebLogic in the July 2002 "WebLogic Developers Journal",
    entitled "Making the Most of WebLogic Classloaders". Also, see the WLS docs for
    "WebLogic Server Application Classloading" at
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs70/programming/classloading.html

    How do you get it into the application classloader? You can package it into one of
    your EJB jars or you can use the manifest in one of your EJB jars to put a jar
    containing your PipelineComponents into the application classloader's classpath:

    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Class-Path: mypipelines.jar

    I put a copy of java.exe in a private directory with some of my personal class files, then i cleared CLASSPATH so it was empty. Amazingly java was still able to run the code in my classes, even though my classes made calls to classes in java.io.* and and java.net.*.

    How the heck was java able to find the jar file containing java.io and java.net?

    DB:2.48:Is There Documentation On How Java.Exe Searches For Class Files? 7s

    That's three different places. It seems worthwhile
    to know just how much information the java compiler
    has, in general, about where to find its bootstrap
    classes (i.e.classes in rt.jar and several other
    important jar files) in order to anticipate and
    prevent potential problems.Seems like a sound philosophy on its surface, and I'll never criticize anybody for trying to understand as much as possible about the tools they use. From a practical perspective, however, I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled Java dozens of times maybe ten or twenty computers over the last seven years and I've never needed to know more than what I outlined above.

    Are you having a particular problem right now that you think might be solved by understanding the nuts and bolts better? Or just trying to prepare yourself, just in case?

    Normally, I would never move "java.exe" from where
    the SDK installation procedure puts it. Good man.

    My problem turned out to be that the classes that were failing were not packaged.
    So I guess for JSPs to find a class, that class must be in a java package.

    FWIW, the jars deployed without problem in Tomcat, despite the lack of packaging.

    having trouble doing regeneration of toplink classes from tables ...
    The generation tool wont allow me to do regeneration using the original classnames, which gives me trouble when using cvs.
    To avoid such trouble i try to remove the toplinkmappings involved and remove or rename the associated java files.
    Here is the case:

    I have tree tables, to containing units and one containg the many to many relation between the units.
    One of the units are referred in lots of many to many relations, and I really dont want to remove classes and mappings associated to that table.
    The other two I feel it is possible to remove.
    But, when I regenerate java classes for those two tables the foreignkeyrelation to the third table on the connection table are not registered, and it is impossible to use the mapping tool to define the many to many connection between the unit being altered and the one i dont want to touch.
    To get the last relation registered I have to genereate a new java class associated to the last table in another name and remove it when alll mappings are set correct.

    Hopefully there would be a "regenerate from database" option soon.

    After regeneration with this approach I have to remove the javasoruce from cvs and add the files as new ones, to have the JDeveloper cvs klient understand that this is "logically" the same files.

    To remove the files from cvs I have to use a third party cvs client.

    One of the beauties of *.ear and *.war files is that they are completely self-contained, with all necessary utility *.jar files included. That allows me to migrate my application as a single unit.

    With *.jar files used in a 'java -jar myJar.jar' scenario, I still have to migrate all the supporting *.jar files referenced in the manifest Class-Path entry.

    Are there plans for *.jar files to have a capability similar to web-inf/classes in a *.war file, where I can migrate a single deployment unit that contains everything necessary for an application to run.

    I really feel like I'm missing something, and the capability is already there, but I'm looking in the wrong place. All my work over the years has been with applications running in some type of J2EE container, so including all the files in a single unit has become second nature. Now I have the need to for something running on a workstation, just using a java command.

    you can't bind two versions under the same global name in one server (how would the client know which version to invoke?), also you'd probably want to configure two different datasources for your entity beans (test and production databases). Setting up two servers is the best thing to do.

    DB:2.45:Servermethod Deployed As Module, Jaxb Problems dj

    Hi gurus,

    well, once you believe you got it all

    Anyway, the scenario is pretty simple. We have build a servermethod creating a complex XML output based on xsd files, using jaxb features.

    All of this has been working perfectly when we deploy the server method the old fashion style, implementing IDmMethod. In order to make it work, we copied

    jaxb-api.jar, jaxp-impl and and additional jacksum.jar to WEB-INF\lib, and everybody is happy.

    As you know, this way of deployment is actually deprecated, and also kind of cumbersome, so we decided to the give it shot with IDfMethod, and deploy the method as a module.

    We have several server methods, and none of them is causing problems. However, there are obviously issues with jaxb. I've been searching for a simple solution, but haven't found one yet.

    Here's what we've done so far:

    1. Added jardef artifacts for all supporting jar files.

    2. Added java library artifact containing all these jardefs. Tried both with and without sandbox checked

    3. Created standard module for the server method, added some BOF classes as required, and the java library as well

    As far as I can see, all of the libraries are downloaded to the cache\bof folder on the content server, but I do get the famous

    ObjectFactory class or jaxb.index not found

    error

    I've found this one https://community.emc.com/message/511873#511873, but I would like to figure out why this is working in the old deployment style, and not the newer one.

    So, any good suggestions, Bart?

    DB:2.41:Annonations Or Xml Files To Store Entity Mappings For Jpa ks

    Hello all,
    I understand both ways have pros and cons.

    Annotations is easiler to maintain,everything is in one place,one place to read to figure out persistence details[table/columns...]
    but changes require recompile,java source contains relational db info,java classes become more than POJO.

    XML configuration provides better separation between java code and persistence details but I think it may be cumbersome for huge projects,
    as the number of persistence units grow,number of xml files will increase,deploymentmanagement for these is an extra effort.
    Just the plain java file won't be enough by it self but you need to read/edit the xml....

    I wonder which way you actually follow in your projects[real life projects and presumably containing several modules]
    and what are the benefits of your approach?

    Thanx in advance

    DB:2.41:Annonations Or Xml Files To Store Entity Mappings For Jpa ks

    thank you jtahlborn for the answer,

    we are considering to use JPA for a 'huge' server-side application with 3000+ entities, so adding an extra jar to the classpath is not an issue:)

    Annotations seem prettier for the time being,mostly for easy maintanence and having the opportunity to see all persistence details on codereviews,debugging ...etc at once but I don't know whether it becomes a pain in the neck in future...with unforeseen side-effects.

    DB:2.40:How To Properly Structure Method Javadoc Comment Format Using Doclet Api 3d

    Wrote a custom doclet using the [Doclet API|http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/tooldocs/javadoc/doclet/index.html ] .

    The purpose for the doclet is to load Java source files and create stubs (which are identical Java source files but do not contain any method implementation details).

    Need the JavaDoc comments (located inside the newly created stub source file) to be properly formatted / match the format with the original source file using this doclet that I created...

    Here's my doclet:

    public class MyDoclet {

    private static String TAB = "\t";

    public static boolean start(RootDoc root) {
    ClassDoc[] classes = root.classes();

    // Parse through class or interface
    for (ClassDoc clazz : classes) {
    Type superClass = clazz.superclassType();

    // Print Methods
    MethodDoc[] methods = clazz.methods();
    for (MethodDoc method : methods) {
    Parameter[] parameters = method.parameters();
    println();
    if (!method.isPrivate()) {
    if (!method.commentText().equals("") method.commentText().length() 1) {
    println(TAB + "/**");
    println(TAB + " * " + " " + method.commentText());
    println(TAB + " */");
    }
    print(TAB + method.modifiers() + " "
    + method.returnType().simpleTypeName() + " " + method.name());
    print("(");
    for (int i=0; i parameters.length; i++) {
    Parameter parameter = (Parameter) parameters;
    print(parameter.type().simpleTypeName() + " " + parameter.name());
    if (i != parameters.length - 1) {
    print(", ");
    }
    }
    print(")");
    println(" {");
    println("\n");
    println(TAB + "}");
    }
    }
    }
    return true;
    }
    }
    For example, lets say I run it against this target source file:/**
    * The Inventory class contains the amounts of all the
    * inventory in the system. The types of
    * inventory in the system include coffee, milk, sugar
    * and chocolate.
    */
    public class Inventory {

    /**
    * Default constructor for Inventory
    * Sets all ingredients to 15 units
    */
    public Inventory() {
    }

    /**
    * Returns the units of coffee in the Inventory
    *
    * @return int
    */
    public int getAmtCoffee() {
    }

    /**
    * Sets the units of coffee in the Inventory
    *
    * @param int new units coffee
    */
    public void setAmtCoffee(int newCoffee) {
    }
    }
    The newly created Java source file's JavaDoc looks like this:/**
    * The Inventory class contains the amounts of all the
    inventory in the system. The types of
    inventory in the system include coffee, milk, sugar
    and chocolate.
    */
    public class Inventory {

    /**
    * Default constructor for Inventory
    Sets all ingredients to 15 units
    */
    public Inventory() {
    }

    /**
    * Returns the units of coffee in the Inventory
    @return int
    */
    public int getAmtCoffee() {
    }

    /**
    * Sets the units of coffee in the Inventory
    @param int new units coffee
    */
    public void setAmtCoffee(int newCoffee) {
    }
    }
    Notice how with the exception of the first line, the second line and subsequent lines are pushed to the left side of the screen and don't containing leading asterisks before them...

    This is definitely some type of weird formatting issue...

    What am I possibly doing wrong?

    Is there any easier way to correctly format the JavaDoc comments to match the target source file which is loaded by MyDoclet?

    Should I be using the com.sun.javadoc.SourcePosition.line() or com.sun.javadoc.SourcePosition.column() methods?

    Happy programming,

    Mike

    Wrap only works with PL/SQL, so if you were to translate your deployment script into equivalent PL/SQL code you could wrap it and then have a very basic deployment scripts that just calls that wrapped PL/SQL.

    You can obfuscate shell scripts, though it depends on your operating system, e.g.

    Hello Mark,

    In order to specify that multiple JAR files reference each other, you must add
    entries into your META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file in the JAR. Also, WebLogic supports
    the use of ejb-client.jar files that package all of the remote interfaces, related

    deployment. I also compiled all the support classes into the
    ServletSupport.jar and
    kept it in class path.

    Now the problem is that the support classes class contain
    methods which has protected level access. At runtime, when servlet tries to
    access
    one of these methods, an IllegalAccessException is
    thrown.
    I understand that this exception is thrown when one tries
    to access a method which should not be accessed (like
    private/protected/cross-package access). However, both
    the Servlet these classes are in the same package. So this should not be
    thrown.

    Now the next thing I thought is that the Servlet the
    support classes are being loaded by 2 different classloaders. I guess the
    classes under
    ServletSupport.jar being loaded by the Java ClassLoader
    the Servlet classes are being loaded by the specialized EJB ClassLoader.

    Now my question is,
    1) Is it the case that the WebLogic Server does not
    recognize that the Servlet class is in thesame package as the support
    classes because
    they are loaded by 2 separate class loaders? Please note
    that the ServletWar file does not contain any support classes - so there
    is no
    duplicate classes here.
    2) Is this a bug?
    3) What should I do to prevent this problem? Some
    workarounds that I have done are declared all methods as public

    DB:2.39:Libraries From Dependent Projects ps

    Hi there,

    I have created an application in Jdeveloper 10g comprising of 2 projects.
    Project 1 is a web app containing all the UI related content and a few java classes used for navigation related concerns.
    Project 2 is a core java app comprising all the business logic and using Toplink JPA for database interactions.

    Project 1 is the entry point project. We have created a project dependency in project 1 to include project2.

    For deployment, In project 1 we create a deployment profile ear file. It generates the deployment artifacts but somehow the libraries being used in project 2 are not being included in the web-inf lib folder of project1. I have selected the Export checkbox in the Libraries tab of Project2 properties.

    All the other artifacts from the dependent project 2 are correctly being included in the ear file

    Let me know your thoughts. Should I have to add the libraries being used in project 2 to project 1 libraries also ?

    Regards,

    Can anyone provide some info on this based on your empirical experience or alternate ways

    DB:2.39:Jndi Name Issue In Migration Of Weblogic Project To Jboss7.1 Project c7

    Hi.

    I'm working on migration project ,where we are migrating the application from Weblogic 9.0 to JBoss AS 7.1.1. In this project we have around 8 Ear files and 6 War files. All the ear files have EJB classes but some of the classes are common in different Ear files. since the code is already supporting weblogic ,so the jndi name used here is like "com/jsebfranck/jboss/ejb2/session/HelloWorldEJB".

    when i deployed a sample application containing HelloWorldEJB , i got the following message in the jboss console:

    ########################

    2:42:16,519 INFO [org.jboss.as.ejb3.deployment.processors.EjbJndiBindingsDeploymentUnitProcessor] (MSC service thread 1-5) JNDI bindings for session bean named HelloWorldEJB in deployment unit deployment "myapps.war" are as follows:

    java:global/myapps/HelloWorldEJB!com.jsebfranck.jboss.ejb2.session.HelloWorldEJBHome

    java:app/myapps/HelloWorldEJB!com.jsebfranck.jboss.ejb2.session.HelloWorldEJBHome

    java:module/HelloWorldEJB!com.jsebfranck.jboss.ejb2.session.HelloWorldEJBHome

    java:jboss/exported/myapps/HelloWorldEJB!com.jsebfranck.jboss.ejb2.session.HelloWorldEJBHome

    java:global/myapps/HelloWorldEJB!com.jsebfranck.jboss.ejb2.session.HelloWorldEJB

    java:app/myapps/HelloWorldEJB!com.jsebfranck.jboss.ejb2.session.HelloWorldEJB

    java:module/HelloWorldEJB!com.jsebfranck.jboss.ejb2.session.HelloWorldEJB

    java:jboss/exported/myapps/HelloWorldEJB!com.jsebfranck.jboss.ejb2.session.HelloWorldEJB

    #####################

    The above message is saying that HelloWorldEJB is bounded with name having prefix "java:global/myapps" , "java:app/myapps" and "java:module" where myapps is root context , but i need to use name "com/jsebfranck/jboss/ejb2/session/HelloWorldEJB" without any prefix containing context root (myapps for above case).

    Is there any way to use the same JNDI name like "com/jsebfranck/jboss/ejb2/session/HelloWorldEJB" for JBoss7.1.

    Regards

    Sanjeev Kumar

    DB:2.39:Jndi Name Issue In Migration Of Weblogic Project To Jboss7.1 Project c7

    With JavaEE6 the JNDI names are standardized, therefore you can use earname/jarname/.... but there is no way to customize the name like you want.

    A solution, according to the ejb specification, is to use a local name inside the bean and use the ejb-jar DD with the ejb-ref element to address the foreign bean.

    In that case you are able to use the naming subsystem in the configuration to map the names.

    Do we need to buy Oracle 9iAS in order to:-

    1) Load java classes into the oracle database, which are run on the JVM that is native to the oracle database.

    2) Ditto but where these java classes are wrapped as java stored procedures.

    I assume we only need to buy the oracle database to do the above.

    In the WebLogic Console, go to your application, Configuration/Files and set
    the Reload Period to 0. You'll have to restart the server(s) after this
    change, but form now on all new classes will be reloaded immediately.

But if I change any helper classes or non-action java classes on the web layer, I got to re-deploy the WAR on the JBoss server. BTW I use Eclipse as my IDE. Could someone please clarify this? Thanks

    Wild guess: Strruts implements it own classloader, notices when its classes change, and reloads them. Seam does a similar thing.

    DB:2.38:Updated Version Of Java Classes In Existing War Deployment 1z

    raghu,

    There is a simple way to do it. After you have updated your bean classes in the applications/youApp/youWebApp/WEB-INF/classes, touch applications/youApp/youWebApp/WEB-INF/web.xml. Done.

    Well, only if you have not tempered with the default setting of your oc4j. Otherwise, all you need to do is to set the oc4j "check-for-updates" flag to "true" . Also, it might be helpful to set the servlet "development" flag of your web application to "true" although it is not necessary.

    For more (or less) information, please see section "Key OC4J Flags for Development" of the book "Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE Servlet Developer's Guide, 10g (9.0.4)"

    Please tell me if this works for you.

    By the way, are the EJB packaged in the war file available to other modules of the application?

    You'll have to explain what exactly you mean by available? The EJBs are exposed via JNDI so yes those can be looked up. If you are talking about the availability of the EJB interface classes outside of the .war, then if you package those interfaces within a jar and place it in the .ear/lib then those will be available to all components in that ear.

    Translating java to java should be a matter of text processing but if you find things

    that are difficult you may want to ask if the translation is worthwhile. That is, if you

    have code designed for some task that doesn't go well on a phone why bother?

    I have most of my BB code conditionally compile for j2se, while I have not stubbed out

    the RIM UI classes or made equivalents to work in an appletviewer, there is a lot you can do in the other direction. ( If you want to pursue the above, look at the g++ options for doing only preprocessing,

    I don't use the RIM options here but rather mix and match tool sets ).

    Reflection is generally thought of as a security risk - if you need this it may be a problem.

    There are a number of reasons it may exist in the current code you have- maybe just

    an API as these are handy for generated simple code for some webservices. In this case,

    I would try to change the web protocol to something better suited to a phone. If you

    really need to execute code only known at run time, you may need to move that

    to a server.

    Also of course there is no JNI LOL FWIW HTH.

    DB:2.37:How To Catch Java Exception In C++ Code Through Jni 1p

    Hi,

    i'm writing VC++ COM wappers for java classes, for supporting Microsoft clients. Inside COM i'm starting JVM and making calls through JNI.
    But my problem is how to catch exceptions thrown by java code in COM classes. I'm not able to figure out how to propogate exceptions back to COM.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    regards
    sebi

    DB:2.37:How To Catch Java Exception In C++ Code Through Jni 1p

    ExceptionOccurred returns a jthrowable which is a reference to a java.lang.Throwable object -- actually usually a subclass of java.lang.Exception. You can make method calls on this object via the normal JNI technique of FindClass, GetMethodID, CallTypeMethod, etc.

    To use the specific suggestion I gave above, you would also need to create extra objects such as a java.io.PrintStream via JNI function NewObject. But that logic would get pretty tedious in JNI, so you might want to implement that Throwable-to-String logic as a single static Java method (which would be easier to write) and then call it from JNI.

    Or you could just call Throwable.toString directly from your native code, but that would omit the stack trace which is highly desirable. You might want to try this as a first step though.

    Right now our packaging is a bit of a mess (every package has all classes in it!). I think we should have:SAR containing an EAR which contains the ejb-jars. There should be one JAR of all of the classes (for now) inside of the ear. Deployment in JBoss supports arbitrary russian-dolls and the order is "inner-first, outer-last" so that should work.

    I made some fixes to the build. Its still not perfect. Really I just want to simplify the hell out of it. The only real downer is the topic/queue deployment is kinda f**ked sometimes... Looks like more of a JBossMQ thing. Test it out and tell me what you think.

    DB:2.37:How To Properly Structure Method Javadoc Comment Format Using Doclet Api m3

    Wrote a custom doclet using the [Doclet API|http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/tooldocs/javadoc/doclet/index.html] .

    The purpose for the doclet is to load Java source files and create stubs (which are identical Java source files but do not contain any method implementation details).

    Need the JavaDoc comments (located inside the newly created stub source file) to be properly formatted / match the format with the original source file using this doclet that I created...

    Here's my doclet:

    public class MyDoclet {

    private static String TAB = "\t";

    public static boolean start(RootDoc root) {
    ClassDoc[] classes = root.classes();

    // Parse through class or interface
    for (ClassDoc clazz : classes) {
    Type superClass = clazz.superclassType();

    // Print Methods
    MethodDoc[] methods = clazz.methods();
    for (MethodDoc method : methods) {
    Parameter[] parameters = method.parameters();
    println();
    if (!method.isPrivate()) {
    if (!method.commentText().equals("") method.commentText().length() 1) {
    println(TAB + "/**");
    println(TAB + " * " + " " + method.commentText());
    println(TAB + " */");
    }
    print(TAB + method.modifiers() + " "
    + method.returnType().simpleTypeName() + " " + method.name());
    print("(");
    for (int i=0; i parameters.length; i++) {
    Parameter parameter = (Parameter) parameters;
    print(parameter.type().simpleTypeName() + " " + parameter.name());
    if (i != parameters.length - 1) {
    print(", ");
    }
    }
    print(")");
    println(" {");
    println("\n");
    println(TAB + "}");
    }
    }
    }
    return true;
    }
    }
    For example, lets say I run it against this target source file:/**
    * The Inventory class contains the amounts of all the
    * inventory in the system. The types of
    * inventory in the system include coffee, milk, sugar
    * and chocolate.
    */
    public class Inventory {

    /**
    * Default constructor for Inventory
    * Sets all ingredients to 15 units
    */
    public Inventory() {
    }

    /**
    * Returns the units of coffee in the Inventory
    *
    * @return int
    */
    public int getAmtCoffee() {
    }

    /**
    * Sets the units of coffee in the Inventory
    *
    * @param int new units coffee
    */
    public void setAmtCoffee(int newCoffee) {
    }
    }
    The newly created Java source file's JavaDoc looks like this:/**
    * The Inventory class contains the amounts of all the
    inventory in the system. The types of
    inventory in the system include coffee, milk, sugar
    and chocolate.
    */
    public class Inventory {

    /**
    * Default constructor for Inventory
    Sets all ingredients to 15 units
    */
    public Inventory() {
    }

    /**
    * Returns the units of coffee in the Inventory
    @return int
    */
    public int getAmtCoffee() {
    }

    /**
    * Sets the units of coffee in the Inventory
    @param int new units coffee
    */
    public void setAmtCoffee(int newCoffee) {
    }
    }

    Mike

    DB:2.37:How To Properly Structure Method Javadoc Comment Format Using Doclet Api m3

    Well, I think line println(TAB + " * " + " " + method.commentText()); does not take multiline comments into account.
    Have you tried something likefor (StringTokenizer st = new StringTokenizer(method.commentText(), "\r\n"); st.hasMoreTokens();) {
    println(TAB + " * " + st.nextToken());
    }?

    Hello,

    Is it possible to deploy on weblogic 10.3 a java library with simple java classes that can be updated in runtime, without restarting?
    So far we have been using the server classpath for this, which of course requires a restart of the server each time we need to make a change.

    When I tried to install the jar as a new deployment the console said:
    +"Issues were encountered while parsing this deployment to determine module type. Assuming this is a library deployment."+

    Thanks

    DB:2.37:Upload-Reload Java Classes Jar mx

    And here comes the real world experience:
    In short, weblogic 10.3 documentation about versioning and online redeployment support does not reflect real state of thing.

    Pure JAR libs redeployment/update with other apps depending on the library is not possible at all, with or without version Weblogic-Application-Version tag being put inside META-INF/manifest.mf
    The server will refuse to update the library with message "dependant apps are deployed, cannot update".
    So you will have to undeploy all apps depending on this JAR, then undeploy the JAR itself and deploy it again.
    The conclusion is to never use JAR libs alone if you plan to update them in future, especially online.

    Pack the JARs you need into EAR archive, into APP-INF/lib folder and put appropriate info into META-INF/manifest.mf, such as
    Implementation-Vendor, Implementation-Title,Specification-Version, Implementation-Version and of course Weblogic-Application-Version
    then deploy EAR as a library and as usually have other apps referencing this EAR via library-ref XML tag in weblogic-application.xml deployment descriptor.

    But even with JAR libs wrapped into EAR, weblogic poses some severe limitations: you cannot do online redeployment, i.e. after you will update your EAR library, weblogic will diploay the message about all the apps depending on this library requiring restart for loading new version of your library.

    In essence, for online redeployment pack everything into one big EAR, there are no other options despite docs clailms.
    for offline redeployment wrap libs into EAR, update libs, then as a mandatory part of libs update procedure, do the apps restart via admin console or WLST script or other weblogic automation tool of your choice.

    DB:2.36:Deploying Applets Through Workshop For Weblogic 9a

    Hi.

    We are creating a web application whic primarily is driven through java/jsp (using Workshop 10.1). We have come over a problem which requires us to introduce an applet to the stack.

    Our application configuration concists of a dynamic web project (main project) and a utility J2EE project (the applet). The Applet currently concists of just one java class, and if we could, we would happily incorporate this into our main project. But I hear that to run the applet it has to be inside a containing jar and that requires us to use a separate project.

    * If we configure our main projects J2EE Module dependency to point to the applets project, we seemingly get no results.
    * If we add the utility project to the main project's build path, we get an error message during deployment: "The web project build path contains classes or jars which are not inside the standard WebApproot/WEB-INF/classes or WebApproot/WEB-INF/lib directories"

    We want the applet to be available to the client. The "/WEB-INF/lib/" and "/WEB-INF/classes" aren't, and we can therefore not export the utility project manually as a jar to these folders.

    The best solution would be to create a dependancy which would compile and deploy our utility project as a jar or classes automatically when we build our main project, and place the file(s) in a location available to the client. But I do not know how we could do this.

    Anyone want to share some knowledge on this issue? It would be greatly appreciated.

    Concreatly:
    * On which path in the main project does the jar file have to be placed in order for it to be available to the client?
    * How do we deploy the jar through the Workshop IDE? Do we have to use ANT scripting to acheive this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

    You can also checkout the link http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs100/webapp/configureresources.html#wp158951

    If you need to serve classes or other resources from the system CLASSPATH, or from the WEB-INF/classes directory of a Web application, you can use a special servlet called the ClasspathServlet. The ClasspathServlet is useful for applications that use applets or RMI clients and require access to server-side classes.

    The ClasspathServlet returns the classes or resources from the system CLASSPATH in the following order:

    WEB-INF/classes
    jar files under WEB-INF/lib/*
    system CLASSPATH

    So may be you can place your applet in one of the places and serve it using classpath servlet from wls. I haven't tested this servlet with workshop but I will check it out.

    DB:2.36:Vfs Aspect For Deployments 1a

    Regarding, http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBAS-2380 I have gotten back to prototyping this. The notion of the VFS aspect is that class loading and deployers should not be dealing with the current local file, jar unpacking, etc notions. Further, optimized local deployments should be possible for more efficient class and resource access.In working on this I have decided jars are a bad thing when it comes to a VFS abstraction. They do not fit into a VFS notion as they do not generally have the property of a random access file system. The current java classes REQUIRE that the jar be accessible via a File object to achieve the random access semantics of the java.util.jar.JarFile api. Throw nested jars into the mix and the concept of a JarVFS with O(1) is broken even when the archive is local.As such, the notion of a JarVFS over an arbitrary URL protocol does not make sense. So what I am thinking is that we do need to move away from the notion of ant as a deploy tool and have a canonical jboss deployment package with tools for creating such packages to with this archive/VFS mismatch. Some properties of a "canonical jboss deployment package":* Its either an exploded directory structure or a collapsed jar. By collapsed jar I mean that all nested jars are expanded within the containing jar.* It survives server restarts. Unlike the tmp/deploy unpacked content of the current releases, the deployment package is a persistent configuration of the server.* It contains optimization information. The package can contain indexes for class loading, resources along with timestamp(s) for identifying whether its in synch with the traditional hot deployable source.* It is a subset of the classes seen in the full deployment archive. A common problem with scoped deployments is users including classes that cannot be overriden. There are hacks for this in the web container class loader, but this should be handled for all containers outside of the class loader.* Tools exist for creating the deployment package. If I'm creating a read-only CD or a netbootable image where there should be no runtime copying of the traditional deployment I need to be able to create the deployment package offline.This needs to be integrated with the jsr88 deployment service:http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopict=65999A significantly different class loader than the URLClassLoader is going to be needed as unlike the traditional deployment archive where a URLClassLoader hierarchy is created using ordered lists of the URLs of the various jars/directories in the deployment, the VFSClassLoader(s) is composed of an ordered list of search contexts in the VFS. This differs from the URLClassLoader when the deployment package is a collapsed archive, as in the case of this web-sso.ear:

    META-INF/application.xml
    roles.properties
    users.properties
    sso-form-auth1.war/error.html
    sso-form-auth1.war/index.html

    Scott, have you checked in your prototype? I had the VDFComponent prototype in system2 but I think it would be better to have a separate module for VFS as part of HEAD/common, adrian made a note about this here:http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopicp=3902262#3902262VDFComponent allowed navigation over a (local) filesystem, then to access a resource you just get a local URL, I guess, this is where a VFSClassloader could come, or you have a different idea (build everything on VFSClassloader)?

    I use jwsdp-1.4 in order to run my webservice under jboss.4.0.0
    ---
    step by step I build it (using ANT) up:

    1st, using wscompile (among others: gen:server, config.xml, -d .) I generate the *.wsdl and mapping.xml

    2nd, I build my WebService.war containing:
    META-INF
    -Manifest only
    WEB-INF
    -web.xml
    -wsdl = *.wsdl
    -classes = ...
    -mapping.xml
    -model.gz

    3rd I will use wsdeploy:
    exec executable="${wsdeploy_exec}"
    arg line="-tmpdir ${temp.dir}"/
    arg line="-o output.war"/
    arg line="${temp.dir}/WebService.war"/

    DB:2.36:Oc4j And Bc4j - Again 9d

    Ok - here we go again :)
    Maybe this question/statement already has been adressed - but here it is anyway:

    Has anyone managed to deploy a simple bc4j webapp into oc4j without setting the system classpath to point to the BC4J jar-file?

    If I deploy the app into BC4J as expected (generating an EAR-file containing web.xml, application.xml etc. and all classes in WEB-INF/classes of the war-file) then the Jbo framework fails to locate the meta-data xml-files for my project.

    If I jar my meta-files (connection.properties, bc4j xml-files etc.) and put this file in the startup classpath then the files are found - but my application module is not (of course...).

    The final solution was to generate a jarfile for my entire BC4J-project and put this jar into the startup classpath of the appserver. The only thing left in the EAR are j2ee specifik deployment files (web.xml application.xml) and "standard" java classes in WEB-INF/classes (servlets, jsp, non bc4j-related class files).

    While this solution works I find that it somewhat collides with the intentions of the J2EE deployment model. The EAR-file that represents my application should be self contained and only contain resources specifik to my application. I shouldn't have to put parts of my application in the system classpath of the app-server!!

    I guess the problem is due to the Jbo classloader that isn't quite compatible with the class loading scheme used in a j2ee compliant appserver (such as orion/oc4j). I get a feeling that the classloader tries to load resources through getSystemResource instead of the prefered getResource().

    Any comments on this??

    /Anders

    DB:2.36:Oc4j And Bc4j - Again 9d

    Just to make sure...

    The directories META-INF and WEB-INF must be in uppercase letters.

    When I have a Web application project with JSPs, I can see the JSP syntax ..coloring etc. However, some of the java classes do not seem to be recognized in the editor and so I see red lines under them.
    The app works fine in deployment

    If you want to web-enable your application you must use Forms
    Server now Developer Server. If You are currently using Forms
    2.1. you should also have installed forms server. This web
    enables your application. Also Java classes must be installed
    somewhere on your disk.

    1. Using IIS as a server for Forms.
    I didn't tried it yet so I don't know if it works.

    2. Using OAS as server for Forms.

    If you have OAS you must first publish directory
    (physical to virtual) then build entry-point web page (HTML).
    Insert HTML code for calling Java Applet with params like this
    example:

    applet width="40" height="40" codebase="./"
    code="oracle.forms.uiClient.v1_4.engine.Main"
    param name="serverPort" value="5000"
    param name="serverArgs"
    value="module=C:\Sklad\Forms\ZAC_FORMA.FMX"
    param name="serverApp" value="default"
    /applet

    codebase is directory where HTML containing this text is located
    and in that dir you should copy all Java Classes for Forms.
    You must run Forms server to open port to OAS.
    The program is run like f50srv32.exe port=????
    example: f50srv32 port=5000 - like port number above in HTML
    example.

    2. OAS is not just a web server but also application server thus
    the name OAS. It is capable not only to serve HTML and Standard
    Java apps but also applications located on database like
    Cartridges(PL/SQL or JWeb). OAS can also offers CORBA objects
    and JavaBeans located on database or server.

    DB:2.36:Web Deployment, Help! 73

    --
    Hi mjs

    I think that you really don't have to use OAS if your
    requirement is just to deploy Forms on the WEB. Since you want
    to deploy Forms on the WEB, just use Developer server.

    The setting for Forms server (Developer Server) is pretty cool.
    Since I have not
    used OAS I will not be able to write about it. I got the
    Developer Server in the morning and the Forms were on the WEB by
    the evening, so it was that simple.

    I worked on a NT client with minimum resources, So I can explain
    it from my requirement point of view. My requirement was to
    Deploy Forms (developed using Developer 2000) on the WEB .The
    following are the software tools I had on my machine:-
    1) Personal Web Server (Microsoft)
    2) Microsoft Internet Browser.
    3) Developer 2000 / Server (NOTE:--It is NOT Developer 2000. It
    is Developer 2000/Server. This has both Developer 2000 and
    Developer Server).
    4) Oracle 7.3.3 (Better to use a version above 7.3.4).

    Developer 2000/Server CD has 3 components more than that of the
    regular Developer 2000 CD. These components are Forms Server,
    Reports Server and Graphic Server.

    Let us consider only Forms Server. To deploy Forms on the WEB
    you need forms server to be running on the background. You have
    to spend some time to set up the Personal Web Server (or
    Internet Information Server or Oracle Web Server). Once the
    settings are ready as per the manual, you just have to copy and
    paste the Forms fmx files to a particular directory. You should
    run the Forms server in a different port and note the port number
    (DON'T allow it to run on the default port). You have to modify
    one of the sample html file that is used to hoist your Forms on
    the WEB.

    You can now access your forms over the WEB. Some of the forms
    functionality may not work on the WEB, for this you need some
    thing called JInitiator. This is available free of cost on the
    Java site. Once you deploy this along with your starting page,
    your job is done.

    Basically your Form is going to run as a Java applet on the
    client's machine.

    Report Server works differently. The setting is like the above
    plus some more.

    If you are using Oracle server then the setting will be
    different. If you are using OAS(Oracle application Server) then
    the settings are going to be so very different.

    We think we have found a design flaw in the UnifiedClassLoader architecture for JBoss 3.0 and would like confirmation (and hopefully a fix or workaround!).The bug surfaces when multiple deployment units in an EAR are trying to share classes via the UnifiedClassLoader mechanism (through Class-Path: entries in the deployment units' MANIEFST.MF files).Each unit gets it's own UnifiedClassLoader instnace, but each instance points to the same repository. Consider the use of package private members in this case. Class A and B are in the same package, but A has package private members used by B. A will be loaded and used by UCL(EJB). B is loaded and used by UCL(WAR). When B tries to call A's package private members (which is normally allows), java throws an IllegalAccessError since A and B came from different classloaders. This check appears to be done in the native java code. It doesn't care that they came from the same repository, just that they didn't come from the same ClassLoader instance.Can someone confirm this and/or suggest a workaround?Maybe the UnifiedClassLoader could be a singleton, and could intelligently multiplex Class-Paths depending on who the subclass is?

    Hi,

    I have a situation where I cannot think of a good design without multiple inheritance, which isn't allowed by Java :
    The structure is shown on the image in the link below.

    I have classes NioClient and IoClient which both may handle Sockets. Those classes are extending a Client class which is an abstract class containing the common code for the concrete classes.

    In the same way I have NioClientAdmin and IoClientAdmin extending a ClientAdmin containing common code. Those Admin classes are adding extra functionnalities to the default classes. That's why all the Admin classes must extend the associated default classes.

    http://imagepaste.nullnetwork.net/viewimage.php?id=760

    Also, the Admin classes are in a different project because I must be able to export the default classes without the Admin classes for default users.

    Thank you for any tips ...

This seems to be possible using the xml configuration for wstools, but I am not using wstools as I am allowing JBoss to do all the deployment for me.The wstools conifguration xsd has the following element which is probably what I need to set somehow WITHOUT using wstools.

    Yes, WSDL generation for JSR-181 only work s for trivial use cases. This is because JSR181 should really not work at all for JAXRPC. It is targeted for JAXWS where all marshalling unmarshhalling is delegated to JAXBPlease monitorhttp://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBWS-1101

    Cloud developers,
    I am seeing SE like behavior running a JTA persistence unit in the WAR - the Java EE 6 spec mandates EE container managed behavior - which is what I see running locally on my WebLogic OEPE server.
    On the Cloud WLS I require the following in persistence.xml - just like i am running a RESOURCE_LOCAL pu - but I am running a JTA EMF.

    !-- not required on a standalone WLS server --
    _classorg.obrienlabs.opendatalink.model.Record/class_
    _classorg.obrienlabs.opendatalink.model.URISite/class_
    exclude-unlisted-classesfalse/exclude-unlisted-classes

    On a local WebLogic 12.1.1.0 server everything works fine and the predeploy of the persistence unit picks up the annotated @Entity/@MappedSuperclass classes fine - without specifying them - the standard for managed persistence units. It is almost like dynamic weaving is off on the cloud instance.

    Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("JPAServletPU").getMetamodel().toString();

    See my custom Metamodel toString() in http://bugs.eclipse.org/266912 that can be used to verify the correct number of entities and other relational metadata is loaded.
    JPA Metamodel: MetamodelImpl@363169072 [ 7 Types: , 4 ManagedTypes: , 2 EntityTypes: , 2 MappedSuperclassTypes: , 0 EmbeddableTypes: ]

    My issue with the truncated version of WLS 12c running on the oracle cloud is that everything annotated does not seem to be picked up - only XML configuration seems to be working - or pre-instrumented weaved entities in the case of JPA.
    How can I get the EJB container to kick in a proper predeploy without resorting to static weaving.

    Is there a set of extended examples beyond the SDK that has verified EAR templates containing Web Profile and full EE 6 examples for deployment of EJB beans both in the ejb.jar and the war (I understand EJB 3.1 is removed from the the cloud instance). This could match the supported/unsupported list below.

    DB:2.35:Cloud Jpa Emf Predeploy Does Not Find Unlisted Entities - Works Locally cc

    Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("JPAServletPU").getMetamodel().toString();

This could match the supported/unsupported list below.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cloud/CSJSU/feat_implement.htm#CEGBGCCE

    thank you
    /michael

    DB:2.35:Multiple Test Classes, One Deployment: Workaround? 13

    Hi,

    We've recently started using JUnit with Arquillian Alpha5 on a remote JBoss AS 6 to test our JPA DAO beans, using CDI injection. All the test classes inherit a @Deployment method from a common superclass. It's working brilliantly, allowing us to test our database queries more easily than ever before - so thanks!

    The thing is, we'd like to run all the tests in one go, and we've now got almost 300 test classes. We can do this with our current setup, but it results in each test class being wrapped in its own test.war, which is deployed on the remote server, the tests executed, and then the war undeployed. As we progress through the test classes (on the same instance of the server), the deploy and undeploy steps take longer and longer, until we're waiting over 10 minutes for a test class to finish it's run cycle. The tests themselves aren't the issue, it's just the deploy/undeploy time.

    Because of this, we'd ideally like to put all these test classes in one test.war, so we don't suffer the hot-deploy overhead. I've seen from other posts on here that this functionality is not currently available, but will be coming down the line. So, for use until then, I've been trying a workaround, whereby we have one test class, marked to be run with Arquillian, with one annotated test method. This method then programmattically finds all the 'real' test classes, finds their annotated @Test methods, and attempts to run them using Java Reflection (method.invoke). Quite fairly, this doesn't currently work, because the 'real' test methods refer to injected beans which haven't been enriched by Arquillian, because only the 'collecting' test class is known to/run by it.

    So, is there any way in which the Arquillian classes which do the enrichment in the normal lifecycle can be called from within a test, which will be run on the server, so I can enrich the test classes before I invoke their methods? We don't need the deploy steps, purely the enrichment, but I couldn't find a way in at that stage via the API.

    Secondly, have you encountered the hot-deploy slowdown yourselves, and can you suggest any other workarounds for it? I'm not sure we're at the point where bringing a new server up each time would be quicker overall.

    Finally, is there a date for when a release containing the 'multiple test classes, one deployment' functionality will be released?

    Hope you can help, thanks!

    Thanks Aslak - I bet!

    We're currently using the remote container - will perhaps try managed, to take advantage of the restart.

    I take it the attempt to use Arquillian classes to enrich classes inside a running test was a bit far-fetched! Anyway, we'll (eagerly) await 1.1. Keep up the good work!

    DB:2.35:Re: Classcastexception On Deployment In Weblogic 10.3 fj

    I had the same problem. I was able to resolve it by removing a jar file from my war.

    The CXF release we are using (cxf-2.2.3) comes with a number of other supporting jars. One of them was geronimo-stax-api_1.0_spec-1.0.1.jar. This jar provides the classes in the javax.xml.stream API. However some of the classes in this jar are now part of the java 1.6 jdk. The one causing the problems was XMLInputFactory. WstxInputFactory extends XMLInputFactory2 which extends XMLInputFactory. Apparently the XMLInputFactory provided by the geronimo jar file doesn't match the one that is part of the java 1.6 jdk. This caused the class cast exception.

    By removing the geronimo jar file the application was able to deploy without incident. Our webservice is now running in Weblogic 10.3/jdk 1.6

    Hi,

    As mentioned it worked. I struggled with this exception for more than two weeks and it worked finally with the solution provided.
    Sumary:
    1. Have the weblogic-application.xml instead of weblogic.xml at the web.xml location
    2. Provide the following entry in weblogic-application.xml
    ?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?
    weblogic-application xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90"
    !-- prefer-application-packages --
    package-namejavax.xml.ws.*/package-name
    package-namejavax.xml.bind.*/package-name
    package-namejavax.jws.*/package-name
    package-namejavax.namespace.xml.*/package-name
    package-namejavax.xml.soap.*/package-name
    package-nameorg.apache.xerces.*/package-name
    package-nameorg.apache.commons.*/package-name
    package-namecom.sun.xml.*/package-name
    container-descriptor
    prefer-web-inf-classestrue/prefer-web-inf-classes
    /container-descriptor
    /weblogic-application

    Thanks a million for all the people who provided me the solution.
