    Hi Tapas,As described in my question this happens when I have booked an attendance from R/3 (PA30) in infotype-2002 in a subtype call (Business trip). it shows in 2002 (Attendances).But in portal it shows under Absent.

    Thanks for reply.

    I checked the notes, first two are valid if the graph is not displayed at all. The last note discusses the problem with Team Calendar.

    We are facing the issue with Attendance Overview. The graph is getting displayed. But instead of pink color (for open leave requests), dark blue color gets displayed, with dark black lines around it.

    If there are no open requests, graph gets displayed correctly. Please suggest the solution.

    The easiest way to do the search is on the file system. The PAR files get unpacked under:

    \usr\sap\SID\JCXX\j2ee\cluster\serverX\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root

    you can also browse this via the portal goto

    System Administration -- Support

    There you will be able to browse the deployed par files... but the file system is easiest.

    Are these worksets complete? Do SAP provide worksets like Overview, Attendance, ESS in MSS, Employee review?

    Also is workset Work Overview diffrent than Overview?

    I have a form with a display item that will show a total of 30 records, because of form size constraints only 11 records can be shown at one time. Is there a way that i can set the display item to display the current value and then add a left and right button to move back and forth through the records. I have considered using a horizontal scroll bar but this does'nt look satisfactory.

    The display item shows a list of 0 and 1 which are incremented each week depending on attendance as i said the first 11 values can only be seen at present and i need a way to navigate back and forth and to display the end numbers to the right initially.

    Speaking as a GUI designer I wouldn't recommend inventing strange navigation methods, though :)

    Hi experts,

    I am building an employee attendance system in apex.

    When an employee enters or leave the office, the bar code reader captures the value (i.e employee id) based on the bar code sticker on employee i-card. So after getting the employee id, I want that value in first item on apex form.

    Based on this value a function/procedure should be called which stores employee details (e.g. name, date, time etc) into the table without any manual interaction. Also the value of item should be null/clear after entry in table.

    I tried it using windows hooks, but it is not working properly. (e.g. It doesn't fetch the value when computer is locked.)

    Is it possible to fetch the value ( employee id) directly into the form item and at the same time insert the values in the database based on the employee id...???

    This is just an general overview of how it want to be work. Please provide your valuable suggestions for any other way to implement the same.

    I assume you are just using a generic bar code reader that effectivly acts like a keyboard typing the relevant bar code value?

    I really don't think APEX is the right environment to be doing this sort of thing in.
    Unless I've misunderstood the hardware you are using though I really think you are going to struggle getting enything to happen when the machine is locked...

    and used this:

    There'sare two ways.

    First is by arranging your formula by IF Statement.

    =IF($A1="","",IF(OR(VLOOKUP($A1,jan,4,FALSE)=0,VLOOKUP($A1,jan,4,FALSE)=""),"",VLOOKUP($A1,jan,4,FALSE)))

    This formula works if you want your Vlookup Results be Blanks if met 0 or also blank.

    2nd (if you want all 0 (zero number)in the entire worksheet be in blanks)

    Go to File/Options/Advance Tab/Display Options for this Worksheet: then Uncheck the "Show zero in cells that have zero value"
    Then the zeros will all disappear ☺

    You can control how much data to keep in the sysevent table by going to System Definition Table Rotations. By default is set to 7 days. The warning here is how much data is generated via events and if it is practical to keep it all or summarize it.

    Is it possible to have a calculated member restricted to a specific column when data is populated in a table from a given query? What I mean is:
    1.
    I have a dimension with attributes called First Attendance and Follow Up Attendance
    2.
    I have a measure called Activity Count (to determine the count for First Attendance and Follow Up Attendance)
    3.
    I have a calculated measure called Follow Up to First Attendance Ratio
    When I select my Attendances and pin them on columns and then populate the table with Activity Count they show as follows, which is okay.

    I have failed using calculated measure Follow Up to First Attendance Ratio to achieve my desired outcome. Could it be that I have to

    I have a SharePoint calendar, with a little over a dozen columns (I have also added a couple extra columns). When adding/editing calendar events, I notice that the Attendance column is not showing up as a field. If I look in SP Designer, I see the column,
    Attendance, but it shows a blank Content Type (whereas most all the other columns have a Content Type of Event). Can someone please talk me through this? Not only do I need the Attendance column to be a field for a calendar event, but I have the same calendar
    on many other sites, so hopefully I can update the Content Type for the Attendance column to Event and solve my problem. Please advise.

    If you choose use this calendar to share members schedule in List Setting-Title, Description and Navigation , new
    content type named Schedule will be added into the list, which will contain the Attendee field as required. This may be a better way to have Attendee field in Calendar item.

    we are configuring MSS for the first time.

    We uploaded Business package of MSS and created JCO destinations and assigned MSS role to the suer from Portal side.

    We are able to get the ivews like Work Overview,team calendar etc.

    from ECC side we configured MSS but when i check Team calendar it is saying "There is nod data for the chosen period" but

    when i cross check in ECC data is there for that particular period but it is not displaying in Portal MSS iviews.

    Same case with Attendace Overview under Work Overview,it is also displaying a message No attendance data was found

    Anybody please guid me with a solution

    the version is not in the definition. It is added when deploying the definition. Look in the deploypar ant task source code to see how to do this. Or take a look at the api docs (do not know by heart which class and method)

    In my Attendance Table there is a field Actual Start Time which is a string either "No Hours" or a time as string"08:32 AM", in my query I use the following expresion to convert to time and total is set to Min.

    However this does not bring back the min record, it brings back 4:29:00 PM instead of 9:48:00 AM
    I can't just do Actual start Time: TimeValue([Attendance]![Actual start Time]) because I get data mismatch error?
    Can you please help me figure out what am I doing wrong ?

    Hi Jim,
    The overview pages update every 60 minutes. So after 60 minutes you should see your alerts removed.
    Let me know if that is not that case or open a support case if it's not updating.

    When I am trying to assign the attendance quota type in T554S for the attendance, and select manaul leave deduction as "2", the quota type fiels in T554S only shows absence quotas and not attendance quotas. This is very weird!!!Please help.

    Hi guys,

    I'm getting stuck, I'm using Attendance/Absence Data: Overview under PT70 (tcode: S_AHR_61016297) to view total hours of the employee I entered in CATS.

    And it turned out different result in production and development.

    In production: I have code 7100 for overtime, 7000 for call out over time, and 3000 for vacation. On 9/8 I put 8 hours for vacation, on 9/9 I put another 8 hours for vacation, his work schedule has 8 hours for each day as working day. the 3000 code is on the 3rd row, after 7000 and 7100 code hours.

    This report generated only 8 hours for vacation.

    In development, I only put code 3000 for both 9/8 and 9/9 dates. And it works, the report generated 16 hours total which is right. No other codes entered except 3000 for vacation.

    I'm not getting why it's acting that way

    I am a novice and am using MSO 2010 professional. I have information in school attendance in access 2010. The table hasname (Key), date, and attendance (P for present, A bor absent, etc.). Iwant to make a matrix (in Excel)that shows the
    name of the student and their attendance for a given month (name on the left hand side, date along the top and attendance in the matrix). Any suggestions.

    I would recommend not to use Excel for that. Access contains a crosstab wizard that can create exactly what you want.

    Can someone show me how to create a calculated column that displays the date only? I'm using the microsoft absence planner.
    I am simply trying to display a date without the time. I'm getting inconsistent results. Someone suggested that I simply add a day but that is not consistent.

    I created a calcualted column to show me the day that Sharepoint thinks the time value has. The results are disappointing to say the least

    someone suggested this formula since it seems to be always off by a day:
    StartDate is a calculated column = =DATE(YEAR([Start Time]),MONTH([Start Time]),DAY([Start Time]1))
    *sometimes this formula displays the right info, sometimes not

    The last column is just = Day_[Start Time] so I can try and figure out what is going on :(

    Hi all,

    I have the MSS portal role assigned to me. Problem is my MSS menu ibonly/b/i includes Overview and Reports, but need it to also include Attendance, Employee Review, Personnel Change Request, etc. How to I add those menu items under MSS? (mainly concerned about Personnel Change Request at this point).

    I've seen a screen shot of another system, and insted of MSS it shows "My Staff", then has the Overview | ... PCR. My Staff is the same as MSS, correct? I just need to know how to get PCR to appear under my MSS menu.

    PCR should be available on the Standard MSS role.

    Please check with your Portal admin, if PCR workset in made available for your user. Also make sure you have the end user permission and the needed access to use this iview. Hope this helps

    I have created a overview report and used the default parameter and entries in the dataset as per the Account overview report.
    I have not created any sub reports
    The report as been uploaded to MSCRM report ok
    Related record types =organisation and to display in Forms for related record types;Lists for related record types;Reports area
    The report shows in the Account reports but not in RUN ON CURRENT RECORD
    but in RUN ON ALL REcords.
    When I run the report it is picking up the default accountid as place in the parameter
    What am I doing wrong

    When I had the same issue with performance overview tab not dispalying ..all I did was to login directly to the Vcenter VM (Win2k8 R2) and started the VMwareVirtualCenter Management Web Services from the services management console.

    And 'Viola' my performance overview tab started displaying for my ESXi host.

    The user needs to be able to filter for AttGPID (Employee ID) and Year to pruduce a calendar.
    Return a full calendar layout (output one row per month, one column per day) even if the employee has no matching record for the month day.
    Employees may have more than 1 attendance incident per day, so I have to combine records when necessary.

    The code below represents my most recent attempt to fill a datagridview with data based on a date selected from a listbox (lstmeetings) using a table adapter fillby.. query which contains the following sequel command (Access):

     Dear Xingwei HuThank you so much for responding.  I am using an Access 2007 database.  The FillByAttDate query that I added to the AttendanceTableAdapter just refused to work, so I gave it up and used the AttendanceBindingSource.filter and .ResetBindings.  That worked for me, so I'm not arguing with success.  I suspect that part of the problem might be the newwardDataSet1 reference that I probably created out of ignorance.

This would make the script easier to maintain overall. Does anyone have an example qvw or something they can share which does this?     Instead of playing with datatables, i will suggest you to go with classes, i mean to say create 2 classes for 2 datatables and fill the data with appropriate properties and Apply LinQ on two collections.
    As you know LinQ is the best option to query out the data based on criteria.

    We have the MSS functionality working in SAp for attendence overview and detail. The employee is set with all its subordinates in SAP. Also the structural authorization is working in SAP as well. The EP connectivity with SAP is also working. However when i logged into EP6.0 as that employee, for My Staff - Attendance Overview EP comes back with message 'No data Available'.

    This also happens for My Staff - Team Calendar, My Staff - Attendence Detail and for Team Viewer (For Team Viewer EP6.0 sends a message 'No Object Found'.

    Any feedback will be appreciated.

    We are trying to copy data from one cube to another. Once the infopackage start running, it remains there in 'yellow' status forever with '0' records pulled. Job log from from Environment--Job overview -- In the source system shows that actually the job stopped runing within a minute or so.There was no log after that. However the job doesn't error out.

    Any idea what's going wrong here?

    Is this the right place to ask detailed questions about vSphere API Performance extraction? If not, please let me know where I should post instead.

    I must be doing something wrong, because at least the value of mem.consumed.AVERAGE is different from what the vSphere GUI shows, which bothers me.

    Also, the list of available statistics (from vimPort.queryAvailablePerfMetric()) for a ClusterComputeResource's resourcePool is smaller than what (I think) the documentation[1] says it should be.

    What am I doing wrong? I'm hoping these two issues are related...

    I'm using the 5.5 SDK against a 5.1 vCenter.

    Details: mem.consumed from Clusters

    Here, I'm accessing a ClusterComputeResource's resourcePool, and getting the mem.consumed statistic, assuming it is the very same metric as the GUI's "consumed" statistic for a cluster. But the values from the API are less than the values in the GUI. I don't understand why. Do you?

    Perhaps related, our vCenter setup also has some stand-alone ESX hosts. They also have a resourcePool (under a "plain" ComputeResource). Both the HostSystem and the ComputeResource's resourcePool have a "consumed" statistic, but also here, the ResourcePool's "consumed" is less than the HostSystem's consumed metric.

    The cluster's usagemhz metric is excactly identical to the GUI's, so at least some of what I'm doing seems to be right.

    How can I get the values for a cluster's "consumed" statistic that the GUI shows?

    My own code gives the same results as com.vmware.performance.PrintCounters from SDK/vsphere-ws/java/JAXWS/samples/com/vmware/performance/PrintCounters.java in the SDK.zip file:

    When looking at the vSphere documentation for PerformanceManager's Memory Counters ( 5.1 [1], 5.5 [2] ), I don't understand what it means when Entity column is empty. Does that mean that it should or shouldn't be available for a ResourcePool?

    I found out what was going on. I was asking ClusterComputeResource's resourcePool, and not ClusterComputeResource directly. Once I asked the ClusterComputeResource directly, I had access to all the statistics I was expecting and the statistics had the values I was expecting.

    I am using developer 6i. I have two reports 1st= Report_A and 2nd=Report_B.
    Report_A results the employee code who resigned in this month.
    And the Report_B shows the presence or absence(attendance) of the employees who's codes I input.

    Now I want to see the attendance of the employees who resigned this month.What I do is I run the Report_A and get the list of employees who resigned this month and then I manually input those employees codes in Report_B to get their (Attendance) presence or absence in the month.

    I want to get rid of the manual input of employee codes of those employees who resigned this month. I want that I run Report_A it automatically provide employee codes (which it results) to Report_B and Report_B automatically show me the attendance of those employeecode. How is it possible??????

    This worked exactly asI had expected and the results of this test query are shown below:

    Now ifI change the 0 from the last part of the last nestedIIF stament (shown highlighted in red in the original query)to NULL.........the
    test calculated member will show a value of 11 for Present/Campus A (highlighted in red in the results grid). How can that be possible? All other values remain the same other than the zeros turning to NULL as expected.

    I've also noticed that ifI create the calculated member in the cube (using NULL), process it, and then reconstruct the exact same result set using the cube browser in BIDS....the value is no longer 11!?! However Present/Campus A still shows up
    in the result set but with no value. All other values that were previously shown as zero stopped appearing in the setonceI switched 0 to NULL in the original query, which is exactly the behavior I was going for.
    I don't know, I'm totally stumped, anyone experience something like this before, or have any ideas?

    The requirement is to let the manager see the "quota overview" or Infotype 2006/2007 data (which usually the employees see in ESS) in MSS.

    Not quite sure if this is available in std functionality... tried looking at attendance overview.. , absence days under "general information" and also, Related activites (ESS in MSS).

    "absence days" under general information comes close to it but it displays only the days that were taken off and not the accured/remaining balance.

    still wondering if its hiding somewhere in std functionality, if not what is the best practice to achieve this ?

    We are on ECC 6.0 and EP 7.0.

    The period is always a rolling 6 months from sysdate.

    This is the calc we have come up with so far which works for some people but we get the invalid number error if the absence includes a half day - so 0.5, 1.5,etc.

    This is probably over complicated but we are not Techie at all so are learning as we go! We are using the HRMS - Administration - Oracle Human Resources (Core) business area in 10G and the Absence Attendance and Person folders.

    - Run RZ21

    - Click Display Overview in Methods with Method definitions selection

    - Copy CCMS_OnAlert_Email and create new method zCCMS_OnAlert_Email

    - Go to tab Parameters of zCCMS_OnAlert_Email

    - Input 3 Parameters

    - Sender = CCMS_Alerts

    - Recipient = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    - Recipient-TypeID = U

    - Go to tab Release, select all 3 options: Data Collection Method, Auto-Reaction Method, and analysis method

    2. Run TCode RZ20, Assign zCCMS_OnAlert_Email to one CCMS Monitor Template

    - Run RZ20

    - Select Dialog Overview - Users Logged On - My Testing SAP Server

    - And then click Properties

    - Go to tab PerformanceAttribute, Change Threshold values

    - Threshold values

    - Change from Green to Yellow = 5

    - Change from Yellow to Red = 7

    - Reset from Red to Yellow = 6

    - Reset from Yellow to Green = 4

    remark - it makes a new alert created if more than 7 users logon

    - Go to tab Methods, set Start the data collection method every = 60 seconds

    - Assign zCCMS_OnAlert_Email as a method in Auto-reaction method and in Analysis method

    3. Testing

    After 7 users logon, a new alert created.

    But after more than 30 minutes, I still cannot receive the auto-alert email.

    I go to the template again, right click the monitor-item and select Start Analysis method. The alert mail sent t my mailbox, but it is not automatic. It is manual action.

    the problem it like when the stock moves from unrestricted stock to restricted stock or quality inspection or vice versa, no accounting document in generated. At max you can match the qty but Value will never match.

    To solve this you can generate generic data source of the particular fields so that the same value will get populated in BI side. But there also i think you will not get the date field so the reporting will be available till current date not for a particular period.

    Dear Peter;

    I think you are referring to grids in AFS. Grids are basically SAP AFS special feature used to classify the stocks according to various requirements of the apparel and footwear industries. Grid can contain up to three dimensions but it is not a must. For an example we can create a grid with the variables Size, Color and Quality Grade or only with Size depending on our requirement of maintaining data.

    So this can create a matrix which is three dimensional. In total all three dimensions needs to be represented with 8 characters. For an example we can have a grid value XL_RED_A (Size XL, Color RED, Quality Grade A). for more information read the blog post below

    Custom infotypes have maintenace screens with the name "bMPXXXX00/b". 'XXXX' is the infotype number. The overview screen is the number 'b3000/b' included in program "MPXXXX00". You can modify this screen as you want. However, it may be still in context of repair.

    Mine is a new Setup with ESX 4 and Vcenter4. In Vcenter4 when I go to the performace overview tab for a ESX server, i dont get any data however the page shows an error:

    This same error shows up for Health status tab too however all the other tab are working fine. The Vcenter Plug-in are installed on the vcenter.

    $B$2 is equal to $A$21 in my workbook, hence, the formula shows AM3. But it shows AM3 wrong because AM3 is actually 66.624, while the formula is giving me 66.686.

    For reference AM4=134.182

    The root cause of the problem is that you have circular references. I presume the circular references are intentional since you have the Iterative Calculation option set.

    I have not yet figured out exactly how that causes the problem whereby, for example, =IF($B$2=$A$21,AM3,AM4) in 'Coal price'!AM2 differs from AM3 (and AM4).

    (Since the conditional expression is TRUE, AM3 is the expected value.)

    Doing a full recalculation does not remedy the problem.

    We might expect that despite the circular references and iterative calculation, AM2 and AM3 should agree due to the obvious dependency order.

    My theory is: the iterative calculation proceeds one more time, effectively changing the value of AM3, then aborting the recalculation cycle when the iteration conditions are met, leaving the previous value in AM2.

    That is only an educated guess at this point. I will need to construct a much simpler example to test the theory.

    I am not familiar with the eccentricities of the iterative calculation. I have always found ways to avoid it. And I think you should as well. That might be "simplest" way to remedy your problem.

    But is not the same case when recording time directly from ESS using iwiew CATS regular/Record Working Time in Business Package for Employee Self-Service 1.41 is not OK beacise it shows code + textual description.

    Hi everybody,

    I have a collision error in time management.

    Imagine for a employee first clock-in is 11:00 AM and last one is 16:00. Its DWS is 7:00 - 16:00. We are generating absences for gaps automatically so when I run the time evaluation, system generates an unpaid absence for 7:00 to 11:00. Then if I want to enter an attendance in 2002 from 08:00 to 11:00 and just keep 07:00 to 08:00 as unpaid absence, systems gives me a collision error.

    I am keeping the standard customization for collisions and nothing has changed. My absence type and attendance type both have time constraint 1 and in table V_554Y_B time constraint reaction for 2001 time con. class 01 with 2002 time con. class 01 is "A". So I expect system delimits the absence!

    If I put an attendance exactly from 07:00 to 11:00 there is no problem and system cuts the absence and puts the attendance. But If I put attendance in any part of absence duration, system generate collision error.

    Anybody has idea what's going wrong?

    hi,

    as you are generating absence first again you can not book attendance at the same time.

    so go to absence record and change the time there as 7 to 8 if it is 7 to 11 already there and save it and go to 2002 and book attendance from 8 to 11.

    We upgrade our Solman to 7.01 sp23 ehp1 sp06 and set up Root cause

    analysis for the ist time.We followed all the steps in the Guided implementation steps

    including updating lmservice, solman setup, wily introscope and diagnostics agent install and all

    extractor jobs. But when we open Root Cause analysis, the Workload

    Overview Page shows for system BID shows up but not the Workload

    summary or any page under the ABAP tab.

    I added the Assignee field as a column to the Assigned Work table in the Overview Console, nothing fancy...it was in the list of available fields to add to the table. For some reason, the assignee shows up for Problems, Tasks, and just about everything except for Incidents. Started looking at the SHR:OVC:BuildQualification active links and can't quite figure out what is going wrong.

Tried to approve the attendance using the tcode CTA6, CAPP, CAT4, but unable to approve as it is not getting listed when the tcode is executed.

    Reason for doing this approval is employee entered entered the attendance using the PORTAL but this was not transfrred to IT 2002.

    Thanks the issue is now resolved. Rule was not to apply attendances in advance. As employees applied there attendances before the actual day system was throwing an error. Employee deleted the attendances booked in advance and reapplied after the actual day of attendnace. After this action all went well.

    To get Absence/Attendance type I am using 0HR_PT_2 Data source Reporting Type 00000001 .To get Particular Reporting time type wise Absent days I am using T557G Table .

    In 0HR_PT_2 Data source I have PERNR(Personnel Number) , KMONTH(Calendar year / month) , KDAY(Calendar day) REPTT(Reporting Time Type) are coming . So I need Absence/Attendance type and Ps Grouping against this values in a record.

    T557G Entrys are :

    Reporting Time Type PSG A/ATYPE UNIT

    00000001 1 0100 15

    00000001 1 0110 15

    00000001 1 0140 15

    Can any one please help on this issue.

    My organization is looking to move our attendance tracking from Excel to Sharepoint, and to automate the process while we're at it.
    In short: the company needs to track employee attendance at seventeen different training events (via the Training Attendance list). The facilitator of each event updates a different list (Meeting Tracker) after each session, creating
    a new item on the list to track attendees. On this new item, the facilitator also looks up and chooses (via a People/Group column) all of the attendees (in the Attendees column). The title of each new item is the name of the training session, and
    this name also appears on the Training Attendance list.
    What I am looking to do is link this Attendees column on the Meeting Tracker to automatically populate the Training Attendance list. The idea is that when a facilitator updates the Meeting Tracker list with the names of all attendees, these attendees will
    automatically be marked as having attended that class on the Training Attendance list. While tracking in Excel I have used VLOOKUP and COUNTIF functions to achieve this same result.
    So far I have tried various methods to do this but have had no luck, mainly due to the fact that it does not appear possible to use a look up function with a People/Group column.
    Does anyone know of any other solutions or workarounds for this problem? Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

    I bought a Dual Quad-Core Mac Pro. When I select Hardware Overview this is displayed:

    Model Name: Mac Pro

    Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 2.93 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 4

    There is 8 memory slots, the 4 Core is supposed to have 4 slots.
    Activity Monitor shows 8 CPUs.
    Why does the System Profiler display the wrong info?

    So you got a Quad 2.9, but only 4 DIMM slots. Still a lot of machine, so maybe after you get settled and use to it, let us know how well it fares.

    I thought at first maybe you swapped out stock cpu for retail Nehalem 5570s at first.

    This means you are $2k richer than you were ten minutes ago, yes? enough to buy some SSD drives and RAM to put it into high gear.

    The filter should be able to narrow down to just Mike's relevant KPI's (participation attendance).  It is not neccessary that the phrase Mike's Team shows up before these KPI's.

    I have checked everything and it's fine. however, what i noticed is that the 'Phone List' and 'Attendance Overview' uses the same data as the 'Vacancy Overview' iview but this doesnt seem to display the data.
