    Hi,

While there is a pre-compiled lib for OpenWsman available, I am having trouble finding some parts for compiling my own.

In the 5.1.1 SDK, in \Intel_AMT_SDK_Release_5.1.1\Windows\Common\WS-Management\C++\Readme.txt it says that :

"The Package includes a Visual Studio (2005) project, OpenWsmanLib.vcproj in ThirdParty-openwsman for compiling the library."

However, the SDK doesn't include this file. I also can't find OpenWsmanClient.cpp, which I assume would be needed for compiling the implementation of WsmanClient for use with OpenWsman.

DB:3.47:Missing File From Sdk: Openwsmanlib.Vcproj fj

    Quoting - mugwump

With respect to the sample storage code you posted, this works fine. However it only ever uses a blank GUID so it's not really adaptable to a situation where the client writes to itself and the server reads.

Unfortunately I don't have a 5.0 system at this time to test on, sorry.

I believe the typical use model would be that the server and client sides would agree to the UUID via some OOB mechanism. The most likely one I can think of would be for a set UUID for a given application (or possibly application, and version of the application). The main purpose is to uniquely identify what application is performing the storage, so it is necessary to agree in advance as to what the UUID is. I believe another alternative would be to use the system UUID to uniquely identify the application (since it already uniquely identify's the system), the ISVS_GetHostUUID call described in the Storage Design Guide would be used in this case.

The code snippet Gael gave should work in either case, for the first the application would have a predefined UUID (instead of all 0's), for the second you'd make the call to get the UUID, then use it as an argument.

Hi, I'm new to VB and am having trouble understanding the build and publish aspects of the program.
First of all, what is the major difference between the two? As far as I can tell, they both end up compiling the program in the end.
Also, (this may sound confusing) if I want to make my program available for download, what files would I need to include in the downlaod package after compiling?
    Thanks in advance guys :)

DB:3.27:Building And Publishing In General ma

Building an application is the process of compiling the application to generate the executables (EXE/DLL)
Publishing is the aspect of deploying the files and any requirement to a location where they can be installed from.    As part of the publish process, the application will be rebuilt but that is more to ensure that you are publishing the current (latest) version of you application.
If you want to make you application available to download then you simply need to publish to a web server / fileshare where people can access.   Publish will place all the files needed there.   Also you can include requirements such as .NET framework 2.0 / SQL Express (some are optional publish requirements) which will automatically install if not present on the client machine when they install the application.
To see clickonce publishing in action - a really good video is
    http://dnrtv.com/default.aspx?showID=8
This should answer many of your questions on publishing.

NUMERICAL_LIBRARIES is the module of IMSL library, shipped with CVF professional edition. It is also shipped with IVF professional edition, and the extra cost for purchasing is somewhere around $500.

Alternatively, if the number of used IMSL routines is relatively small and/or they're replaceable with other routines, you might consider a free alternative, such as lapack or other packages; see e.g. http://www.netlib.org. The free alternatives, of course, also tend to have worse performance than commercial ones.

First, check to see if you have created the DBML in the righte way, referrence links are:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb384470.aspxhttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb384396.aspx
Generally, once you drag the table to the dbml, then your own DataContext can be used in your program. So, what do you mean by 'the table doesn't seem to appear'? The DBML files disappears or the entity class that represents the table doesn't appear? You can try to refer to the entity class in your program to see if it really disappears.
If the problem still exists, provide us more information and we'll look into the problem.Best regards,
    Charlie Lee

    Hello:

I'm having trouble compiling from sources on SOlaris 10 1/06. When compiling, the ./configure usually works, but make typically fails with:

    *** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `all'

The above example is for the the program smake, but the "failed for target 'all' is common to most of the make failures.

Is ther a good reference or HOWTO for compiling on Solaris?

I'm new to Solaris, but have been using Linux for a few years now so I'm fairly familiar with compiling from sources.

    Thanks

When you to the folder's properties and tick HIDDEN and READ ONLY, you save the changes, and you tick them again and save again. The files will appear, the thing is that when you rotate the files disappear again and you have to do the same process.

    anyone know what to do?

    DB:3.02:Compiling J2ee Apps 3x

yeah, but when you go to deploy the applications, do
you have to do that every time?Nope. WAR files (if you are having a web application) read classes from the JAR files packaged under the WEB-INF/lib directory. EAR files can have the JAR packaged within them. They need to be specified as libraries in the deployment descriptors.

There's another dirty way of modifying the server startup script to add the required JARs in the classpath. But it would only create a chaos during further deployments, especially if two separate applications require separate versions of a JAR.

IMO, you could have an Ant script to build an EAR (or whichever way you choose to deploy the J2EE application) to save some trouble. Most of the IDEs use this feature too. You might use one of them. :)

    Adam,

So the error has to do with the 3rd delete from array in your program as the result is a size 0 array. This is a known issue. Logically you could replace the 3rd delete from array with a wire and your code should compile and behave the same the since there are only 23 elements left in your array.

That's always good to hear; naturally we tend to agree. Allow me to suggest my favorite reference, the Advanced Bash-Scripting Guide. Don't let the title fool you; "Advanced" refers to the completeness of the reference. It actually assumes very little.

There are a number of more pedantic articles, tutorials and books. I used to have a long post of links to what I think are some of the better beginning UNIX reference material. However, as others posted great links and I stole them, my post became too long so I put it in a web page. Bill Scott did the same thing so here is Bill's and here is mine.

Ok I found a workaround for this one. Apparently it is a GCC version incompatibility both for the svn version and the standard release (currently 0.8.2). It can be solved by adding one line to one source code file for the svn version and 5-6 source code files for the 0.8.2 release. Check this thread out:http://www.netpanzer.org/forum/index.php?topic=256.0

the part that you actually need is this:

You might be using netpanzer 0.8.2 source in newer gcc, if that is the case you would need to modify some files in order to compile:- If error is with sort: add #include algorithm on top of that file- If error is with auto_ptr: add #include memory on top of that file

There's the MSDN documentation of course.
If you want to ask questions and get answers, then these forums are
the official MS peer support mechanism.
If you find the web forum mechanism inefficient (as do many), you can
access them using a news reader application if you also use this:

Some of the old MS newsgroups such as microsoft.public.vc.mfc are
still available via 3'rd party news servers such as

I don't have a problem switching between section endnotes and footnotes. The problem I have is putting all of the different section endnotes together in a different section called "Notes" at the end of the document rather than at the end of each section (as is common practice with academic writing).

Depending on your motivation for precompiling, it might be easier to just set a flag in your jsp-descriptor to force precompile of all JSPs on application deployment ( [http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs100/perform/webapptune.html#wp1141919] ). This gives you the first-use performance, but it still requires deploying the JSP page itself. Some people feel that presents some risks, but I think that's overblown. If your web applications are designed such that your JSPs only have "view code", it's not really an issue anyway.

The only component that won't work in Flash is the new ParticleSystem component, you can't interface with that component at all via script if you're compiling for Flash. You can still kind of use them- but you have to use them as GameObject or Component, so the messages you can send to them will be limited.

matters! Check the getting started guide!

I've followed several similar comments over the last few days. Mavericks is a large file and depending on where you live and the speed of your line, you will have problems downloading at this time of the year, when the entire planet is on meltdown and with many people locked into their computer screens. Even when the first editions of Mavericks was launched, it was slow then and I've got a 76Mb Fibre Optic connection. I think right now, the world and his uncle are downloading large files so my advice to you is frankly, get up in the early hours of the morning when the line traffic is greatly minimised. It's worth waiting for if you don't wish to screw up your computer. Good luck!

DB:2.96:Compiling Exe App With Labview Config.Txt Files Included jm

LabVIEW 7 or 8?I don't think you can add text or excel files "inside" the executable, but you can add them to an installer so that they are automatically placed in a destination folder you specify. The method is a bit different depending on the version of the application builder you have. With version 8.2, the files you want must be in the project to be added as support files.Under the 'source files' category select the support files you wish to add and click the 'add items' arrow next to the 'Dynamic VIs and Support Files' box.Once the application is compiled with these files included, when you make the installer based on that application, those support files will be included with the Installer.

There I had trouble compiling, but got past that by including mxml for the various strokes to draw with etc. After that I hit some null pointer exceptions, which I got past by explicitly identifying the line segment and item renderers. Unfortunately, the chart still refuses to draw, I'm seeing just the horizonatal axis labels in an incorrect location.

Is there a problem with my code, or do charts not work when compiling with Flex 3 compatibility?

Surprisingly, even though I'm compiling with Flex 3 compatibility, the build path libraries point to the Flex 4 sdk, not the Flex 3.5 sdk. I'm having trouble figuring out how to switch to the Flex 3.5 sdks. The folder reference for the Flex 4 sdk is to .../sdks/4.0.0, but adding in Flex 3.5 requires .../sdks/3.5.0/frameworks/libs and then the resulting swcs included don't match up.

    I appreciate the help -

    Peter

The other thing I should mention: when LineSeries.updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth, unscaledHeight) is called, unscaledWidth and unscaledHeight are NaN. Any ideas why this might be? Setting a fixed height and width for the LineSeries in the mxml did not help.

    Thanks,

    Peter

Im still hoping that the bug fixes in the recently release update for tdb might spark an ARCH version of fdm 1.6.

I need fdm 1.6 as the current version 1.4-1 does some weird things with gmail and its about 16 moths old. Theres been a version 1.6 since xmas.

    DB:2.87:Having Trouble Compiling mm

I am a total newbie at programming and I am having trouble compiling. In the MS-DOS prompt, I located the folder where my .java file is located and typed the following:

    javac SampleProgram.java

I received a "Bad command or file name" error. I am typing the names correctly. I am using Java 2 SDK, Standard Edition Version 1.3.1. Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks for any help.

i tried the one in the repositories, as well as compiling it with ABS (and optimizing for K7 and turning SMP off).

the kernel loads, and messages start spewing on the screen as usual, and it freezes on the following line.
    Initializing Cryptographic API
    io scheduler noop registered
    io scheduler anticipatory registered

same problem happens with mkinitcpio using (base udev autodetect ide), which is the same config as for the stock kernel
