HiI am trying to use WPS 5.0.2.2 as a WSRP consumer for a few portlets I have in JBoss 2.4. As far as I am aware the name of the port is not mandated by the spec. However, it does seem like many portal offerings hardcode the WSRPBaseService name for the Markup interface since this is the name used in service definition example on the OASIS website. To address this issue, I have changed our port name to WSRPBaseService. That change is in the current CVS version. To make that change in BETA 1, you also need to edit jboss-portal.sar/portal-wsrp.war/WEB-INF/webservices.xml to replace WSRPMarkupService by WSRPBaseService.

Very often the issue is with the setup of the Java Portlet Container. Can you confirm the following:
o the sample portlets are deployed properly.
o you can register the sample portlet producer with the Portal,
o you can add the sample portlets to a portal page.

    Hi,
I've added the OOTB WSRP Viewer web part toa page to try to display some portlets from another application (Oracle PeopleSoft). Producers configured in TrustedWSRPProducers.config. When I select a producer from the dropdown, I get the message The
portlet server returned an error. It may not be configured correctly... and looking at the logs I can see the exception:

Runtime Error in method WSRPConfigurationToolPart.RefreshPortlets of type System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException.The exception was System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Possible SOAP version mismatch: Envelope namespace http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/
    was unexpected. Expecting
    http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/.
Now, I looked at the actual raw xml returned from the producer and I do see the correct namespace that the WSRP consumer is expecting, so I'm confused as to where this exception is coming from...

    Hi,

how can i gracefuly handle connection error to the remote producer in order to display a custom message inside my remote portlet ?
    Thx
    Emmanuel

    DB:3.25:Portal 10.2 Wsrp Interceptor js

    Hello again,

One other thing to try would be to modify the WebContent\framework\features\proxyportleterror.jsp in the look and feel to change the way an error is displayed for a proxy portlet. This may give you the functionality you want without having to do anything with the interceptors.

It has been pointed out that you may be receiving the 404 error during the WSDL fetch phase, which has no interceptor for it at this time. The WSDL fetch happens once when the consumer first tries to access the producer, and is cached after that. So if the producer is down when you start up your consumer and try and hit it the first time, the interceptors will not be able to catch this error. However, if the producer is up when the consumer starts and when the first portlet is retrieved from it, the interceptors would then work properly if the producer were to stop responding, We are looking at ways to improve this functionality for the next release, but that won't help you at the moment.

The only work-around for the WSDL issue at this time would be to copy the producer's WSDL to a file in your webapp, then use file URLs when configuring the producer, pointing at your local copy of the WSDL. This is certainly not an ideal situation, as if the producer's WSDL changes you will still be pointing at a static copy of the old WSDL, but it would let you get to the point where your interceptor(s) would work every time.

DB:3.24:Wsrp Error: Could Not Get Markup mz

    Hi all,

I have developed some portlets using JSR 168 and WSRP, running on Portal 10.1.4.
My problem is that my portlets sometimes do not render at all, and the following error message appears:

"Error: Could not get markup. The cookie or session is invalid or there is a runtime exception."

If I refresh the page, it renders correctly.
I cannot find any clarification in the logfiles about the cause of this error.

Does anyone have an idea what might cause this?

    Best regards,
    Marcel.

DB:3.24:Wsrp Error: Could Not Get Markup mz

Hold on, I have found some information on Metalink about this issue.

Apparantly it's a time-out issue. See Note:394165.1 for more info.
Oracle have got no solution for this issue, but their workaround is to increase the time-out value in web.xml. This example sets the value to 2 hours:

    session-config
    session-timeout120/session-timeout
    /session-config

Something as simple as images on buttons or CSS background images are working fine. But these are a part of the Web Application.

    Are your images hosted separately?

    Hi,

I'm currently investigating the WebCenter features available in JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0. Right now my organisation is intending to use JDeveloper/ADF to create a set of portlets, and a dashboard application to consume those portlets.

If we use JDeveloper to build a WSRP 2 portlet, then create a second application which uses a WSRP connection and the adfp tag library to embed that portlet into a JSF page, do we need to get any additional licences to run these two applications? We're deploying to WebLogic 10.3 which gives us an ADF license - does this also give us the right to create an application using WebCenter features without an additional license cost?

We're not currently intending to use the main WebCenter features (CMS stuff, Page customization stuff, etc) - do we even need WebCenter in order to create and consume WSRP portlets using JDeveloper ADF?

    Many thanks,

I just tried this on my installation and it is working fine. Can you please try the same?
    1. Create one consumer, say XYZ, using given BEA producer wsdl url. Also, select none as User Identity Propagation Mechanism (this is default value in the drop-down).
    2. Go to Desktop tab and select "Manage Containers Channels" link. Make sure you had already selected DN as DeveloperSample.
    3. On "Manage Containers and Channels" page, click "WSRPSamplesTabPanelContainer" link in the left frame. The right side frame will show "New Channel or Container" link. Click on this and you will get "New Channel or Container" popup window. It should show portal1 as selected portal and "DeveloperSample" as selected DN. Type is selected as Channel. Click next.
    4. Select Channel Type as "WSRP Remote Portlet Channel" on the next page (although default one is Provider Channel.
    5. Next page will show a list of Configured Producer. Select XYZ from this list and click next.
    6. Next page will show remote portlet offered by BEA. Select "BEA: Hello World" from this and click next.
    7. Provide a name for the new channel and click next.
    8. Final page will show all the details provided by you. Click finish. This will complete channel creation based on a remote portlet.
    9. Login to portal desktop (http://host:portal/portal
    10. Go to developer sample portal and login with developer/developer user.
    11. Click on WSRP samples tab. You will get your portlet there.

I am sure that you must be knowing all these steps as you already tried this. I am providing all these for benefit of others. The only difference I am recommending from your steps is the selection of "Identity Propogation Type as none". This is because you are not aware of WSSSO portlet. I will try to find out some document on other types of Identity Propogation types and will let you know. Please let me know if above works for you.

DB:3.01:Remote Portlet Urls Are Rendered Incorrectly On Https Pages 99

    Hi,

We are having an issue with our remote portlets contained within HTTPS pages; they work as expected within HTTP pages.

So, when a portlet is called from a HTTPS page, the URL is always rendered using the non-secure template; it never appears as HTTPS.

I have enabled WSRP monitoring and can confirm the URLs are being generated correctly in the SOAP request, however the producer is always returning the non-secure version.

We are using Weblogic 10, Portal 10 MP1. We have two manged servers on one physical machine with a load balanacer that is used to proxy requests to our remote producers. The beehive file contains the load balancer IP address and we also use this to register the portlets. The portlets used to work on HTTPS pages when we didn't have the load balancer in place, but there is now a need for this so we need to get this working. We do not have SSL enabled within WebLogic, only on the Apache layer.

Here is an example of the SOAP request:
    Request (Wed Jan 27 11:08:34 GMT 2010) from/to: tcuxs001

DB:3.01:Remote Portlet Urls Are Rendered Incorrectly On Https Pages 99

I have and it didn't help which I expected. Changing the secure value to true changes all the location of the registration WSDL to https which we don't really want as SSL is only enabled on the end-user site and not on the remote producers. Therefore, the https ur for the WDSL won't exist and is invalid.

    Thanks,

    Hi

i'm trying to register a provider in Oracle Portal and my producer doesn't support the optional WSRP registration service.

When I try to register the provider I get an error "serialization error: unexpected null value for literal data."

I've setup a proxy to look into the SOAP messages and I can see that Oracle Portal is trying to call the RegistrationService even though the producer is returning "requiresRegistration=false".

Is there any way to configure the Portal consumer not to use the RegistrationService?

I don't use WSRP but the framework is generating error messages that I want to stop prior to deploying in production.

I removed from application-config.xml tag ConsumerSecurity in an effort to stop these error messages. This just changed the error message.

BTW, in a dev environment where you check into src control application-config.xml and any internal encrypted passwords are not going to be portable between dev/production boxes.

There's alot of interesting questions in this forum and I'm embarased that my question does not have alot of sizzle. Especially that I'm needing to turn off an exciting feature, WSRP. LOL

I'm believing that a tip is needed to turn off this feature since I find no WSRP components in the usual places; web.xml, application-config.xml or components in the ear.

Tnx for any tips to turn off WSRP.

    Hi All,

Does the WSRP consumer included in WLP10 send the cookies received from the producer ( on InitCookies , GetMarkup and PerformBlockingInteraction ) back to the user browser ?
The producer i am using is tracking sessions with JSESSIONID path="/producer" , the WLP10 logs these errors on each interaction with the producer :

DB:2.94:Wsrp - Cookies Sent Back To The Browser 97

    Hello again,

Could you post the text of the monitor output when you are getting the issue with the Sun producer for a single portlet request (from the InitCookie request through to the GetMarkup response)? If you can also get a portlet description (usually in a GetServiceDescription response) from the monitor of one of the portlets having this problem, that would be helpful as well. I can try to figure out what is going on there, and see if anything is obvious. Often, interoperability issues like this are due to subtle things that aren't obviously wrong.

What version of the Sun producer are you using? I can try to see if WLP has done interoperability testing with it.

Yes, you are correct that WLP 10.3 and prior versions store cookies from the producer in the consumer's session- they do not go all the way back to the browser (unless an interceptor is used). The consumer sends the cookies back to the producer with each WSRP operation, depending on the CookieProtocol specified in the portlet's service description (see http://docs.oasis-open.org/wsrp/v2/wsrp-2.0-spec-os-01.html#_CookieProtocol )

To get the cookie portions of the interceptor working, you will need to contact Oracle support and ask for the patches related to CR380227 and CR383977 for the version of WLP that you are using.

I am assuming that you want to send cookies to the browser for reasons other than fixing the issue with the Sun producer, right? Even with these patches applied, the consumer interceptors may not be able to "see" a cookie if it isn't being parsed properly from the SOAP response, which is probably the problem you are seeing with the Sun producer. If we can figure out the issue with the WLP consumer and Sun Producer, it will probably be a separate patch to WLP (or the Sun producer) to get it to work.

DB:2.93:Problem Registering A Wsrp Provider On Portal x3

    Hello everybody,

I'm trying to register a WSRP Provider on Portal.

The OC4J has been patched with the wsrp-install.jar successfully but the Portal says :

    Erreur interne (WWC-00006)
L'URL de fournisseur indique est incorrecte ou le fournisseur n'est pas en cours d'excution. (WWC-43176)

I tryied to do a wget the the url it works. I tryed to access the index page of the OC4J Provider through Web Clipping it works.

In the logs I got a message like this : ERROR: no port specified in HTTP POST request URL

I'm not sure if it is related to this problem.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi,

i hope, this is the right place for the topic.

We are trying to integrate our SharePoint Server into our Oracle Portal 10.1.4 by using the Microsoft SharePoint WSRP Producer.
The producer seems to be up and running. (The wsdl-file and all of the depending files were accessible.) But when registering an new Provider, it fails fetching the Services with the following error stack:

The server is definitely up and running.

Btw. we can consume other WSRP-Portlets without problems with Oracle Portal Server and GlassFish (using Portlet Container Driver and WSRP).

Does anybody have experiences on consuming WSRP from the SharePoint Server (e.g. with the WebCenter Application) or does anybody have an idea what the problem might be?

    Thanks in advance

DB:2.91:How To Register Wsrp Portlet Producer Via Ohs Load Balancing 3m

    Hi everyone.
We developed some portlets and deployed them to clustered managed servers. So, when register that portlets, I stucked on how to use Http Server with Mod_WebLogic to load-balancing/fail-over between WSRP producers ?

    For example:
    - my cluster has 4 managed servers: app1:7003, app1:7005, app1:7007, app2:7003
    - my WSRP portlet producer URLs correspond to above servers: server_name:port/bieudo-index/portlets/wsrp2?WSDL

I set up a apache 2.2 with weblogic server module (mod_wl.so) to load balancing these WSRP producer.

    My apache running on http://loadbalancer:8888/

    This is my mod_wl.conf contents:
    Location /bieudo-index/portlets/wsrp2
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    WebLogicCluster app1:7003,app1:7005,app2:7003,app1:7007
    WLProxySSL ON
    WLProxySSLPassThrough ON
    /Location
    Location /wsrp-tools
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    WebLogicCluster app1:7003,app1:7005,app2:7003,app1:7007
    WLProxySSL ON
    WLProxySSLPassThrough ON
/LocationThe URL that I used to register on WebCenter Portal is http://loadbalancer:8888/bieudo-index/portlets/wsrp2?WSDL
    - When I pressed the Test button, result is OK
    - When I press OK button to register, this error message occurred:

Unable to register the producer due to an invalid WSDL URLHave you ever meet the same situation ? If you know the solution, please tell me.

    Hello Ashok,

I believe if you look under "Portal Resources", then "Library", you'll see a "Portlet Producers" option in the tree on the left-hand side of the portal administration console. You should be able to click on "Portlet Producers" to get options on deleting a previously-configured producer.

    * The configuration in META-INF/wsrp-consumer-config.xml.
    * Make sure you have a wsrpKeystore.jks in your domain directory.

Hello all,I've had some success getting a couple richfaces componenets (tree, and tabs) working with the portlet bridge. Today I've tried to use those portlets remotely via WSRP, and ran into some exceptions. Since we don't handle this, this portlet will be excluded from the list of offered portlets for producer beaWhen I go to the Admin -- Portlet Definitions page and view the portlets for the newly created consumer, I don't see the myportlet portlet because of the error above. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advanced!

You're not doing anything wrong but it's just as is said on the console: JBoss Portal does not support WSRP portlets that use the GET method in forms so we exclude it from the list of available portlets as we wouldn't be able to properly interact with it. Please open a JIRA feature request if you need this to be implemented.

DB:2.90:Wsrp File Upload With Struts fp

    Hello there

I've been trying to integrate with WSRP a Struts 1.1 web app which provides a simple File Upload functionality.
It works fine as a standalone web application (direct access to the web app).
But I can't get it to work through WSRP from BEA Weblogic Portal 8.1SP4 to BEA Weblogic Server 8.1SP4.

I followed all the steps indicated at http://e-docs.bea.com/wlp/docs81/wsrp/workprod.html#1010271.
Plus I set up the wsrp-producer-config.xml file to handle attachments as follows:
    ...
    markup secure="false" rewrite-urls="true" transport="attachment" accepts-mime="true"/
    ...

The start page of the portlet displays fine on the Consumer side.
But upon file upload it never reaches the actual Struts Action on the Producer side.
No error is displayed either on the Consumer or on the Producer side but the file does not get uploaded.

    Any idea why ?
Am I missing anything in the configuration ?

    Thanks
    Patrick

I tried both without "accept-mime" at all and with "accept-mime" set to 'false' with no result so far.

I've read in some old posts people write about existing examples for realizing file upload via WSRP.
I've been looking for them in BEA's examples and on the website in vain.
Could you kindly tell me where I can find such examples, if any, on BEA's website ?

In the logs I got a message like this : ERROR: no port specified in HTTP POST request URL

I'm not sure if it is related to this problem.

    Hi ,

I have to handle a Scenario in wsrp where if producer is down or not responding then i have to show a error message on consumer .For that i want to use a Interceptor . can you provide me some step for proceeding.

    thanks in advance

DB:2.88:How To Handle Producer Not Registered/Down Using Interceptor In Wsrp m7

    Hello,

You will want to implement interceptor classes (at a minimum, probably the BlockingInteractionInterceptor and GetMarkupInterceptor) which provide onFault() and onIOFailure() methods that return your required error message as the markup. There is a sample interceptor that does this at:

    http://edocs.bea.com/wlp/docs102/federation/Chap-Interceptors.html#wp1031141

You would only need to copy the code in the sample's onFault() method into the onIOFailure() method to be covered in both the case that the producer sends a fault (such as not being registered) or has an IO failure (if the producer is down).

The wsrp consumer can connect to any wsrp producer- the interop tests included the Citrix producer, which was developed with .NET.
Was that your question? I should mention that creating a wsrp producer is difficult; there are no open-source tools as there are for Java with WSRP4J.

How do I configure a WSRP producer in Sharepoint? When I added a WSRP Web Part, the tool pane indicated No WSRP producers are configured for this site. Contact your administrator to configure trusted WSRP producers.

    Thanks,

Someone referred me to a posting that contained the configuration file below. It loads the name (Sample) correctly into the Producer drop down list box in Sharepoint. But when I select it, it gives an unexpected error. I don't really know what values to put for the ServiceDescriptionURL, RegistrationURL, MarkupURL and PortletManagementURL. I'm trying to run an application located at http://s0-kdb:2600/MeetTheFleet/Site/index.html.

Any insights on how to get this WSRP producer configured correctly?

    Thanks,

    Hi All,

I am relatively new to WSRP. Using the available documentation and Weblogic Workshop, i was able to create a WSRP producer (exposing a few portlets) and a WSRP consumer that consumed the exposed portlets.

Now i want to provide some kind of security to my exposed portlets so that only authenticated Consumers are able to access the exposed portlets.

    1. For this i started off by creating a "wsrp-producer-config.xml" in WEB-INF of my producer's Web Portal.
    2. Enabled the secure attribute of all the interfaces in service-config to "true".
    3. Now when i try to create a remote portlet using Weblogic Workshop, by specifying the WSDL url of the above producer. It fails with the following error on the console,
"SECURITY BEA-090485 CERTIFICATE_UNKNOWN alert was received from localhost - 127.0.0.1. The peer has an unspecified issue with the certificate."

Can some one tell me what is going wrong here and guide me how to get this working.

    Thanks,

    DB:2.86:Wsrp Security 1d

Concerning security, there are three things to note:

    a. Web services over a secure channel (such as SSL). The configuration
steps you followed below switch the web services traffic from http to https.

    b. Visibility of portlets, i.e. to set whether a given portlet is
offered to a consumer or not. For that there is an offerRemote attribute
on portlets. In addition you can also use Consumer Entitlements (see
    edocs for more).

    c. User identity propagation at run time. WLP supports Username and SAML
tokens (SAML token as the default). See edocs for more info.

I see references to licensing - is it a licensing issue? I didnt actually purchase one, but thought i agreed to download it as "eval" - i mean i did the same thing with WebLogic and that's been working like a charm. I do see when I installed it, it gave me a license.bea file on my bea root and it says "expiration=never".

Hi, I have a couple of ideas for your questions:

    1) Regading the plenty of free memory you had, you checked it using the "free" command which gives u a memory snapshot at just the time you execute it, while it will be very different during the actual running of your memory expensive programs, please take note that the opmn actually runs multiple processes, that means multiple JVMs, one per each OC4J group (as far as I can remember) , and each will be started using the ms and mx parameters you set in opmn.xml, so if your opmn runs 4 OC4Js with mx=1000MB, that means it can take 4000MB of memory if they were all extensively used, so you should consider number of JVMs on the machine when setting those parameters, and lower the mx limit so that the total mx of all JVMs doesnt exceed machine memory (and I guess that's what solved your problem)

    2) ms and mx are practically the same as Xms and Xmx, this is how they were named at old java versions and they were left there for backwards compatibility, although you wont find them in documentation coz you should use the new naming.

I am not able to understand how jboss portal supports WSRP from the documentation provided.Making a portlet remotable makes it available for remote publishing via Portal's WSRP producer. If your portlet is correctly deployed and made remotable, it should appear in the "self" portlet provider in the admin interface. This means that it is now available to be consumed by remote consumers that connect to Portal's producer. "self" is a WSRP consumer connected to Portal's WSRP producer so you should be able to see your portlet there. If not, there is a problem. Look at the doc for more details. However, it does seem like you might be misunderstanding how WSRP works... I suggest reading the WSRP primer at http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/21178/wsrp-primer-1.0.html if you haven't already done so. Hi,

I am getting following error when accessing producer portlets using WSRP.

    Hello,

My first guess would be that your producer and consumer cookies are colliding because they have the same name. Try following the instructions here:

    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13218_01/wlp/docs81/wsrp/bestprac.html#1000965

for re-configuring the session cookies on the producer-side and see if that fixes your problem.

This can be solved in different ways.
    1) You can use custom data transfer.please go through the below link

    2) Use resource url tag library in your view on producer.

    Hi All,
I am using Weblogic Portal as the Producer and Plumtree as the consumer for my WSRP portlets. I have enabled Producer URL rewriting. When i invoke an action URL i get a "Mode is not supported in this portlet." error. The template being passed is blockingActionTemplate/wsrpconsumer/pt_action?wsrp-navigationalState={wsrp-navigationalState}wsrp-interactionState={wsrp-interactionState}wsrp-mode={wsrp-mode}wsrp-windowState={wsrp-windowState}/blockingActionTemplate
and the URL generated is a href="/wsrpconsumer/pt_action?wsrp-navigationalState=wsrp-interactionState=_action%3D%2FnewAction1wsrp-mode=wsrp-windowState="
The same portlet works fine when Consumer URL rewrting is enabled.
Plumtree is giving the same error for the portlets at the consumer at http://sunwsrp.dyndns.org/portal/wsrp/wsdl/default. Any help would be highly appreciated

Our portal is configured with https, listening to a virtual host (https://portalpilot:4443)
In order to consume WSRP / JSR168 java portlets we
    - created a new OC4J container (wsrp_dev)
    - installed the portlet-container ( $MIDTIERHOME/j2ee/wsrp_dev/ java -jar wsrp-install.jar)
    - started the container deployed the samples
    all OK
but when trying to register the (tested OK ) url https://portalpilot:4443/portalapp?WSDL
in the Provider Registration we got an error (error in provider url)
changing the url to the non-ssl host (http://gogol:7777) was the (pseudo) solution.

is this behavior by design? we would like to use SSL throughout

DB:2.76:Wsrp Provider Reg Not Working With Https Url 91

    OOS,

Did the info in the release notes solve your problem?

It seems to me that the release notes address a similar but different issue. You want to run under https. The release notes are instructing you to change all references to https to http in the WSDL file. I don't see how this would fix the problem of trying to register a WSRP provider with a WSDL URL that uses https.

The reason I ask is because I am encountering the same problem.

    Thanks.

then you will need to configure the resourceURLKey parameter. This key is used by
the Parallel Page Engine to calculate checksums for URLs that are requested by WSRP
and JPDK resource proxying. For WSRP resource proxying to work, the key must be
set to an alpha-numeric value of 10 characters or more. The WSRP samples that are
shipped with the product use resource proxying. Therefore, if this is not configured
correctly, then you will not be able to view images in WSRP portlets. In addition, for
JPDK proxying, a JNDI environment variable, also called resourceUrlKey, must be
set for the provider. Refer to Appendix D, "Configuring the Parallel Page Engine" for
    more information.
To configure WSRP resource proxying, perform the following steps:
    1. Open the web.xml file associated with the OC4J_PORTAL instance on the middle
tier. The file is located in the following directory:
    MID_TIER_ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\OC4J_Portal\applications\portal\portal\WEB-INF\
    2. Uncomment the lines that contain the resourceURLKey parameter definition.
    3. Set the value for the resourceURLKey parameter to an alphanumeric value of 10
    characters or more.
    4. Save the web.xml file.
    5. Run the following command to synchronize the manual configuration changes:
    MID_TIER_ORACLE_HOME/dcm/bin/dcmctl updateconfig
    6. Run the following command to restart OC4J_Portal:
    MID_TIER_ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/dcmctl restartproc process-type=OC4J_Portal

Has anyone ever come across the error below when registering a WSRP provider ?

I have configured the portlet_prefs data source in OAS and I am using Oracle Portal 10.1.4.

DB:2.74:Wsrp Monitoring In A Production Environment zf

    Hello,

We are using Weblogic Portal 10 MP1 consuming a number of WSRP portlets from a JBoss producer. We're investigating how best we can monitor errors or timeouts while communicating with Jboss.

We have already implemented the onFault() and onIOFailure() methods for an interceptor, which log an error to our log file.

We would also like to know if there any other methods/techniques/best practices that you could recommend for WSRP monitoring. Any knowledge or tips will be appreciated.

Finally, we have a read timeout value set in the wsrp-producer-registry.xml configuration file. Does anyone know that, if a timeout does occur, will the onFault() or onIOFailure() methods be invoked?

    Thanks for any responses.

    Regards,
    Jonathan

You can also catch such timeout exceptions via the portlet error page reference.

We like to send a "releaseSession" request to the wsrp producer when the user's session timed out or user logs out of the local portal. Is there an API I can call? I browsed through the javadoc but didn't find one. Is this a common scenario for portals using wsrp? Will the producer end up with many orphaned session? We would like the producer to release the sessions as soon as possible instead of waiting for the sessions to time out themselves.

I've managed to successfully get a JSF based JSR-168 based portlet to deploy into Weblogic Portal 8.1, using the Apache Portals-Bridges JSF Portlet Bridge. (worked like a charm the first time!) My only problem with this is when I remote my portlets via WSRP. The portlet's view JSP will render properly, but when I attempt to submit a form (or perform any action), I get an error on the consuming portal. The error is:

    at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletRequestImpl.mergePostParams(Z)V(ServletRequestImpl.java:1364)

Any suggestions? Is this an incompatibility of WSRP with JSF or is there some way to get beyond this. I've exhausted my search for answers on the various websites. :(

(or maybe version 9.x of the Portal addresses this issue?)

    Hey everyone.

    1) We have a consumer that provide authentication services via PKI Certificates.
    2) Portlets are access from the consumer via WSRP. Portlets are exposed on another Weblogic EAR/WAR instance in the same domain.
    3) We do have local proxy turned on.
    4) Connection timeout is disabled (the default)...

Everything works great, but after a period of inactivity I end up with error messages on the server console like this: Unable to release sessions on producer due to [Remote service invocation failed ; nested exception is: weblogic.xml.crypto.wss.WSSecurityException...etc.

And my portlets die with similar messages.

Is there some setting I should look at?

DB:2.73:Nullpointerexception When Creating A Wsrp Producer Connection In Jdev dp

We have a .NET server from which we want to create a WSRP connection in JDev. We have installed the WSRP producer for .NET along with the date time test portlet found here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/webcenter/overview/wsrp4net-ps3-overview-330826.html
When we try to create a WSRP connection to the test portlet from JDev 11.1.1.5 we get the following error:

    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at oracle.adfinternal.model.portlet.manager.ProducerConnectionManager.setNoAuthPolicy(ProducerConnectionManager.java:923)
    at oracle.adfinternal.model.portlet.manager.ProducerConnectionManager.createWSRPProducerConnection(ProducerConnectionManager.java:372)

    at oracle.ide.dialogs.ProgressBar.run(ProgressBar.java:655)
    at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:662)

Maybe it has noting to do with the fact that our portlet reside on a .NET server, the error seems to be related to the WSDL policies. Also the WSRP producer for .NET is at release 11.1.1.4 while we are using JDev 11.1.1.5.Could this be the problem, if so, is there a .NET Producer 11.1.1.5?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    DB:2.73:Wsrp Connection Test Error da

    Hi,

I'm testing WSRP Consumer functionality with NetWeaver Portal SP 10. I have my own WSRP producer (WSRP4J with Pluto) which works fine with other consumers (e.g Liferay portal). I do the necessary steps to register a WSRP producer and perform a connection test with the following result:

    Producer object was found

Could not retrieve the WSDL file; the handshake URL may not exist or may be invalid

What exactly does this mean? Which possible error sources do I have to check? The WSDL file is accessible by the portal, I used an XML-iView, telnet and common browser access to test this. The producer was tested with other consumers. Where can I find the log files of the WSRP connection test?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Hi All,

Please make sure you have set the proxy settings in System administrator-Service confiuration-Application-com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice-Services-Proxy. Please make sure you changed the 'Overwrite JVM...' property (if exists in your vertion) to 'true', save and only then restart the httpservice.

In order to trace the WSRP funcionality to a log file, please use the visual admin and in the Log Configurator - Locations - com.sap.portal.ivs.wsrp.consumer switch the tracing level to 'All' / 'Debug' and save. the logging will be sent to the latest defaultTrace file under \JCxx\j2ee\cluster\servery\log\

    Thanks,

DB:2.71:Webservices: Jwsc Is Unable To Compile Wsdlc-Generated Classes 7d

    Hello,

I'm trying to generate JAXWS web service classes using WebLogic 10.0 MP1 wsdlc and jwsc Ant tasks, following the steps described in [Creating a Web Service from a WSDL File|http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs100/webserv/use_cases.html#wp220705].

I'm using the WSRP WSDL which I have in my local system and which is also available at [http://docs.oasis-open.org/wsrp/v2/wsrp-service.wsdl]. The only change I made is to remove all the references to "v1" specification of WSRP in there.

It seems that wsdlc can only work with a single service and single port so I'm currently trying to generate just the classes for WSRP_v2_Markup_Service port.

    Here are my ant tasks:

    wsdlc type="JAXWS" srcWsdl="${wsdl.path}" srcPortName="WSRP_v2_Markup_Service" destJwsDir="${target.jws.dir}" destImplDir="${target.impl.dir}" /

    jwsc srcdir="${target.impl.dir}" destdir="target/wls-wsrp-ws.ear"
    jws type="JAXWS" file="oasis/names/tc/wsrp/v2/wsdl/WSRPV2ServiceImpl.java" compiledWsdl="target/compiledWsdl/wsrp-2_0-service_wsdl.jar"
    WLHttpTransport contextPath="${contextPath}" serviceUri="WSRP_v2_Markup_Service" /
    /jws

"wsdlc" part succeeds but jwsc part fails with the following error message:

    [jwsc] C:\DOCUME~1\zachcial\LOCALS~1\Temp\_970x54\oasis\names\tc\wsrp\v2\wsdl\WSRPV2MarkupPortType.java 263:28
[jwsc] *[ERROR] - Method contains javax.jws.WebResult annotation but is not a WebMethod. Add the javax.jws.WebMethod annotation to the method definition.*
    [jwsc] C:\DOCUME~1\zachcial\LOCALS~1\Temp\_970x54\oasis\names\tc\wsrp\v2\wsdl\WSRPV2MarkupPortType.java 290:28
[jwsc] *[ERROR] - Method contains javax.jws.WebResult annotation but is not a WebMethod. Add the javax.jws.WebMethod annotation to the method definition.*
    [jwsc] C:\home\hp\WsrpTake5\wls-wsrp-ws\target\impl\oasis\names\tc\wsrp\v2\wsdl\WSRPV2ServiceImpl.java 17:8
    [jwsc] [ERROR] - javax.jws.WebService.endpointInterface oasis.names.tc.wsrp.v2.wsdl.WSRPV2MarkupPortType is invalid.

Looking at the interface class and line I find both WebMethod and WebResult annotations for the methods above, e.g.:

    *@WebMethod(action = "urn:oasis:names:tc:wsrp:v2:releaseSessions")*
    *@WebResult(name = "extensions", targetNamespace = "urn:oasis:names:tc:wsrp:v2:types")*
    @RequestWrapper(localName = "releaseSessions", targetNamespace = "urn:oasis:names:tc:wsrp:v2:types", className = "oasis.names.tc.wsrp.v2.types.ReleaseSessions")
    @ResponseWrapper(localName = "releaseSessionsResponse", targetNamespace = "urn:oasis:names:tc:wsrp:v2:types", className = "oasis.names.tc.wsrp.v2.types.ReturnAny")
    public ListExtension releaseSessions(
    @WebParam(name = "registrationContext", targetNamespace = "urn:oasis:names:tc:wsrp:v2:types")
    RegistrationContext registrationContext,
    @WebParam(name = "sessionIDs", targetNamespace = "urn:oasis:names:tc:wsrp:v2:types")
    ListString sessionIDs,
    @WebParam(name = "userContext", targetNamespace = "urn:oasis:names:tc:wsrp:v2:types")
    UserContext userContext)
throws AccessDenied, InvalidRegistration, MissingParameters, ModifyRegistrationRequired, OperationFailed, OperationNotSupported, ResourceSuspended
    ;

I found the following post of somebody having a similar problem: [http://forums.bea.com/thread.jspa?threadID=600014665]. Unfortunately for me both interface and implementation method declarations look exactly the same except the @Web... annotations not present in the implementation class.

Can you think about anything I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    /Slawek

DB:2.71:Webservices: Jwsc Is Unable To Compile Wsdlc-Generated Classes 7d

    I figured that out.

It turns out that the order of exceptions in the interface class and in the generated implementation class are not the same. Even though this is fine from the Java perspective, jwsc gets confused by this. Putting the exceptions in the method signatures of the implementation class in the same order as in the interface fixes this issue.

    Now, I hit another problem:

jwsc error: Response wrapper bean names must be unique and must not clash with other generated classes. Class: oasis.names.tc.wsrp.v2.wsdl.WSRPV2MarkupPortType method initCookie(oasis.names.tc.wsrp.v2.types.RegistrationContext,oasis.names.tc.wsrp.v2.types.UserContext)

Let's see how long will it take to find a fix for this one ...
