    I got this exception when I am trying to start debugger.
    I modified workspace.xml.

    Anybody have any solution?

    Thanks.

    DB:4.05:Unsupported Response Content Type "Text/Xml". Response Was: ma

    Solution is pretty simple.

    Open a new workspace and then start the debugger.
    Sometimes, debugger might prompt you to enable=true in the system config object eventhough it is true.
    Then just ignore it.

    Hello,

    Your message contains a an HTTP 404 error so the URL that you are trying to access is not valid.

    Can you check from a browser what is the response when you call the endpoint?
    http://server:port/wedanyservices-WedanyServicesPro-context-root/MyWebService2

    I believe that you do not have a service deployed at this URL this is why you have such response, and you cannot send another response.

    Hi

    We are integrating UPS Shipping Ground Web service with SAP system and we have the settings in place on our side and sent a HTTP request test today and we are getting a " HTTP Code 200 : OK " error instead of a response.

    The SAP SOAManager shows the below detail for the error:

    A SOAP Runtime Core Exception occurred in method get_http_headers of class CL_SOAP_HTTP_TPBND_ROOT at position id 3 with internal error id 1007 and error text SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 200 : OK") (fault location is 1 ).

    The target system confirmed a valid response is generated but the client is not accepting the same.
    One thing we noted but not sure about it is that the response content type is showing text/plain while the request shows content type accept text/xml in SOAManager trace functionality. (screen shot )

    We could see several discussion on this but could not figure out what needs to be changed in SE80 consumer proxy or the SOAManager port level. Please advice.

    Note: We are not using any middle ware like XI or Message Transformation Bean to intercept the response.

    DB:3.53:Wireless Sso Partner App p9

    Hi there,

    I had created a Oracle SSO Partner App. That is, an application that will redirect the user to perform SSO login if the user trying to access that application had not been login before.

    This application will be used by wireless device that only understand text/vnd.wap.wml content type.

    The problem of Unsupported Content-Type comes when the user tries to access the application and is redirected to perform SSO login.

    Trapping the TCP messages, I realized the following. The user is redirected to
    http://[blah.blah.com]/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login, which a PL/SQL function of Oracle9iAS SSO framework.

    This PL/SQL is suppose to again redirect the user to my customized SSO login page. The PL/SQL response is as follows...
    HTML
    BODY onLoad="document.Login.submit();"
    FORM ACTION="http://[blah.blah.com]/mbtinfra/sson" METHOD="" name="Login"
    INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="site2pstoretoken" VALUE="v1.2~1327~18D...."
    INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="p_error_code" VALUE=""
    INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="subscribername" VALUE=""
    INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="ssousername" VALUE=""
    INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="p_cancel_url" VALUE="http://[blah.blah.com]/mbttestapp/index.html"
    INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="p_submit_url" VALUE="http://[blah.blah.com]/pls/orasso/ORASSO.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login"
    /FORM
    /BODY
    /HTML

    Because the PL/SQL is doing text/html, my wap browser throws unsupported content type.

    Can anyone please advise me on a work around for this or how do I create a wireless SSO partner app?

    Thanks in advance.
    Chee Wee.

    Hi,

    Is your laptop directly connected to the internet? If so, you should not be specfying the proxy server details. If you are not behind the proxy and specifying proxy server details in the ConnectionParams.java produces this error.

    Remove proxy settings for the application, if your not behind the proxy server. This can be done by editing the ConnectionParams.java in the directory SAMPLE_HOME\webservices\src\oracle\otnsamples\webservices\biz

    Make this changes to the file,

    // Proxy Server, specify "" if proxy server is not used
    public final static String proxyServer = "";

    // Proxy Port, specify "" if proxy server is not used
    public final static String proxyPort = "";

    Hope this helps.,

    Cheers,

    DB:3.14:Bpel Invoke Activity Problem 73

    Hi,

    I have done a BPEL process which invokes an external web service. The
    Invoke activity throws the following exception:

    "Unsupported Content-Type: text/html Supported ones are: [text/xml]"

    Does anybody know why?

    Thanks.

    DB:3.14:Bpel Invoke Activity Problem 73

    I've tried to implement a WS EJB which copies the data in a new request and sends it to the web service, and does the same on the response.

    But it hasn't worked.

    I think that the problem is related to the "rpc-encoded" WSDL binding, because I'm calling other web services that are document-literal binding and they work OK. But the "rpc-encoded" services I'm calling don't work.

    Hello,

    We have a synchronous flow via http. The content-type of the http request is 'text/xml'. Also the content-type of the http response must be 'text/xml', but XI always changes this to 'application/xml'. Is there a way in which you can configure this?

    Greetings,

    Bart

    DB:3.13:Http Content-Type fk

    Hi Bart,

    If the receiver channel is of XI Adapter, it would always convert the content to binary format and so as application/XML. And since your response would also be flowing through the sam echannel it would aslo have same the content kind. Try using HTTP Adpater as r receiver.

    Regards,

    Sreenivas.

    "Unsupported Content Type"
    What does this message mean?

    I get this message when I go to certain websites and try to download content.

    Example 1) I went to a web site to download MP3 music. I got this error message.

    Example 2) I went to http://wap.gotalkmobile.com/ to download the gotalkmobile IM SW and I got this error message.

    DB:3.11:Unsupported Content Type 3z

    And the web site has also to send the correct MIME content type header for different file types that the phone supports. If the web server is incorrectly configured, the phone will not recognize the file type and will not know what to do with it.

    Hi,

    Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlCRLF
    Content-Length: 27

    And now i need to return parameter like below :
    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Content-Type: text/plain
    Content-length:3
    CRLF
    OKLF query body

    i found this URL(http://developers.sun.com/techtopics/mobility/midp/ttips/HTTPPost/), but it's an example send query to server rather then response from server.

    Anyone got any example on how to write the server response code?

    DB:3.09:Unable To Connect To Uddi Registry From Jdev 9.0.3 9p

    Unfortunately, as you have found, only setting the proxy server itself, not the proxy server account/password, is supported within the JDev proxy server configuration.

    As a result, built in functions using proxy servers that also require proxy server account/passwords will not work. As far as I know there is no work around for this although others on the list may be aware of an approach. The lowest common denominator is to go to the Web api of each to do the search - OTN's UDDI search url is at:

    http://otn.oracle.com/uddi/ui/searchForm.jsp

    Bear in mind the OTN Registry is a bit empty ... we are just adding services to it over the next several weeks.

    Finally, you might want to check into some other passworded proxy servers workarounds that are documented here on OTN. For example, in the OTN Web Service tutorials this issue is specifically noted - see steps 4, 8 and 10 of the OTN News Web Service Tutorial:

    http://otn.oracle.com/tech/webservices/htdocs/series/news/content.html

    DB:3.04:Client Found Response Content Type Of Text/Html, But Expected Text/Xml. The Request Failed With An Empty Response. 8p

    Just wanted to  share that the issue has been resolved.  It was an error on our end.  A database refresh had caused the reporting services url value to be incorrect.  Once I fixed that, the reports started to work as before.Thanks everyone for your input.

    DB:3.03:.Net 2.0 Studio 2005 Web Services Content Type = Text/Html Issue 1p

    Hi.  I'm trying to consume a Java built web service that is sending responses using the Content Type = text/html instead of the standard text/xml..NET is throwing an exception when receiving the response as expected.

    Code Snippet

    DB:3.03:.Net 2.0 Studio 2005 Web Services Content Type = Text/Html Issue 1p

    I got the provider of the web service to change the content type to text/xml and it all works now.   So my problem is solved.  However if I had come up against a provider who would not change the content type, I'm still interested in hearing how it could be handled in .NET.  Essentially it was XML, they just wanted to set the content type to text/html  so maybe a SOAP extention could be used here to capture that content type.

    DB:3.02:Testing Pl/Sql Web Service Error 1j

    I've generated a web service using JDev 10.1.2, ran it in the embedded OC4J Server. I then generated a stub to test it with, browsed to the web service wsdl file in the original project, and ran the stub. The stub project returns the error:

    SOAPException: faultCode=SOAP-ENV:Protocol; msg=Unsupported response content type quot;text/htmlquot;, must be: quot;text/xmlquot;. Response was:
    lt;HTMLgt;lt;HEADgt;lt;TITLEgt;500 Internal Server Errorlt;/TITLEgt;lt;/HEADgt;lt;BODYgt;lt;H1gt;500 Internal Server Errorlt;/H1gt;lt;PREgt;java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:

    I'm not sure what I should be looking for to track this down. Is it a bug in my stub, or in my web service? In order to keep things simple, the stored procedure only takes a few strings, and I've double-checked the values and order of parameters I'm passing. Anybody have any ideas?

    DB:3.02:Testing Pl/Sql Web Service Error 1j

    I got this figured out, just blew away my projects
    and started over, and it worked. Now that I've got
    it working in a test environment, how do I get it
    into production? Is Oracle's AS the only AS you can
    use to deploy a PL/SQL web service?The OrindaBuild Plugin for JDev 10.1.2 writes Java classes to run PL/SQL that work with Apache Axis 1.1 and should work with almost any web service toolkit.

    Hi,
    I'm trying to migrate a web service from .NET WCF to C Windows Web Services API. I generated .c and .h files using WSDL, create few wrappers and incorporated it into the C code and try it using a gSOAP client. Sadly, it wasn't working.

    Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8; action=http://tempuri.org/IReferenceClockWebService/SetRecordTimeLeftDiff
    After I remove the action parameter, everything is working.
    Why is this happening. Isn't an action parameter common part of SOAP HTTP requests? Is there any workaround?
    Thanks in advance.

    Did you add the proxy authentication code, which it looks like you require, into the calls only to the
    CurrencyExchangeServiceStub.java class? This is the only class that should have required any changes as
    all the other calls are local.

    I checked the XMethods service and it appears up. Just to check, here is a sample snippet of code that needs to be added to the
    CurencyExchangeServiceStub.java class for proxy authentication:

    Boa noite pessoal, ultimamente tenho recebido cerca de uns 100 alertas diarios no ISA 2004 relacionados a compressão.
    O primeiro é praticamente no site do IG conforme abaixo:
    The response was rejected because a compressed response was not requested
    Description: The response was rejected because a compressed response was not requested. ISA Server blocks compressed HTTP responses when it does not request compression
    Já o segundo alerta só acontece no site do mercado livre conforme o exemplo abaixo:
    The response was rejected because the compression type is unsupported
    Description: The response was rejected because the compression type (the HTTP Content-Encoding attribute) is unsupported. ISA Server supports only gzip compression.
    Description: ISA Server was unable to process a response body from http://smartad.mercadolivre.com.br because the response was compressed by the ISO-8859-1 method, which is not supported by ISA Server. As a result, the response was discarded. This happens when the server ignores the request from ISA Server for GZIP compression and instead compresses the response with ISO-8859-1.
    Recentemente, habilitei o Http Compression, para a rede interna, com os "content types" html document e text. tentando resolver o problema, mas o mesmo persiste.

    Hi Coldrainxx,

    We have very few informations about your WS and the way you're invoking one of its operations.
    You should provide us with more details : the WSDL, the client code and eventually, the Data class.
    Also, there's no need to cast Object to the new instance of Data as all classes are already extensions of Object.

    In my web application, I have a servlet, and that servlet calls a webservice running on an external server. To connect to the web service, I am using a java proxy class that was generated using the WebServicesAssembler tool (the webservice runs on an OC4J server). I am sure that the URL is right because I can use the same client class for the web service in a stand alone application. I did not change the endpoint URL in the client at all. The client was generated by OC4J's web services assembler tool. Also, the same URL will work in a browser.

    Does OC4J require some sort of deployment descriptor to connect to an external web service? My web application only uses a .war file and it is packaged in an .ear file. It is a J2EE 1.3 application.

    this is what I have in my web.xml file:

    DB:2.96:How To Solve Tutorial Problem ss

    The error message you are getting is because the stub is not able to connect to the web service running in the embedded OC4J server, and it is likely that this is an issue with the proxy server exceptions set in JDeveloper, possibly because you are running DHCP.

    If you go to Tools | Preferences and select Web Browser/Proxy you can see the current settings. The list of proxy server exceptions includes 127.0.0.1 and localhost, however if you look at the generated stub, at the line starting "private String _endpoint", the actual IP address of your machine is used.

    To get the stub to work you can either:

    -- add your machine's IP address to the list of proxy server exceptions. Go to Tools | Preferences, and select Web Browser/Proxy. Add your IP addres to the end of the end of Exceptions.
    -- or you can turn off the proxy server in the same dialog, but remember to turn it back on again for the next tutorial when you run a stub against a web service deployed to an external instance of OC4J.

    DB:2.96:Bug: Content Type Not Being Set In Ajax Response Crashes Fir kf

    when putting f:view contentType="text/html"/ in a page, the initial page response correctly returns text/html content type.richfaces generated javascript than does NOT appear inside a CDATA block, where as to the default case the javascript is escaped inside a CDATA block when the content type is text/xhtml.HOWEVER, after a partial page update, richfaces generated javascript is still NOT inside a CDATA block while the response header returns text/xml as a contentType.this crashes firefox as the returned fragment is not XML compliant and the javascript hence is not parsed correctly.

    DB:2.96:Bug: Content Type Not Being Set In Ajax Response Crashes Fir kf

    OK. I guess, the answer is yes.Actually, this not a bug, but feature. Thew Behaviour is under the responsibility of JSF itself; not richfaces. Unfortunately, the behaviour is hardcoded there. So, only the way to avoid is writing extended renderKit. It is possible, but not trivial.The source of the problem is the same that is mentioned there: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/RF-2691Most likely, you can avoid this problem on the application having a conditional contentType like that:
    f:view contentType="#{ajaxContext.ajaxRequest ? 'application/xml+xhtml' : 'text/html'}"

    Hi ,
    I have a requirement to write a workflow assembly which converts an ssrs report to pdf . I tried following the two blogs below.
    http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/15555/Generating-PDF-reports-programmatically-using-SQL
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/reportexecution2005.reportexecutionservice.render.aspx
    But its throwing me the following error
    Client found response content type of '', but expected 'text/xml'.\r\nThe request failed with an empty response.
    Any idea why this error comes.

    DB:2.94:Client Found Response Content Type Of , But Expected Text/Xml.\R\Nthe Request Failed With An Empty Response. c3

    It turns out that it was a known issue with PDF rendering in SSRS. There is a hotfix for it that solved the problem. See this:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2645648
    I did look at the logs and turn on HTTP logs and didn't get any more information than it was a (500) Internal Server Error. Not much help there. :-)
    In any case, thanks for the tip.

    helpme I have error when I try connect from struts to web service using basic authentication . the error message is

    Please helpme I don't have anytime more to find the mistake , ??

    I'm using Jdeveloper 9i , and oc4j 9.0.4 Server (Not embedded with Jdev)
    But when I use with sample java client it success .....
    then I try with Struts the response is unsupported response content type text/html must be text/xml response was 401 Unauthorized

    DB:2.94:Helpme I Have Error When I Try Connect From Struts To Web Service ck

    The fact that you are seing an intermitent problem may be related to a different setup for your proxy setting.

    The 401 error can be comming back from an HTTP proxy, if you are using localhost as the host name, and have not set the exception list (http.nonProxyHosts).

    Hope this helps,

    DB:2.93:Controlling The Response Content Type In A Servlet Filter Ans Jsf 18

    Hi all, I'm new to this list. We develop a small xslt servlet filter to produce xhtml. Please look at the following code:

    *** Code in the servler filter (only to explain the problem):
    ...
    System.out.println("Before: " + response.getContentType());
    chain.doFilter(request, response);
    System.out.println("After: " + response.getContentType());
    response.setContentType("text/html");
    System.out.println("Changed to html: " + response.getContentType());
    ...

    producing the following output, if we set the content type to "text/xml" in the jsp(x) page. Still no jsf involved.

    Before: null
    After: text/xml;charset=UTF-8
    Changed to html: text/html;charset=UTF-8

    If we call the same page through jsf (index.faces in our case), than it is not possible to control the content type any more.

    Before: null
    After: text/xml;charset=UTF-8
    Changed to html: text/xml;charset=UTF-8

    The problem in the case of a xslt servlet filter occurs in the jsf response. The response must be XML and the jsf servlet generates valid XML only, if the content type of the .jspx is set to "text/xml". But the browsers expect "text/html". So we should control the response content type an set it to "text/html". I have no idea how to accomplish this.

    Does anybody know how to do?

    Thank you all

    This typically happens with a mis-configured service. Anything that will result in a configuration or compile error will be returned as a 500 error by IIS. This error renders as HTML, and thus is the wrong encoding and not recognized by the client
    channel stack. Any exceptions thrown once the service code executes will result in a properly formed FaultException, which traverses the channel stack just fine and can be handled by client code.
    To resolve this error, double-check the service's configuration file and make sure the service compiles. Test by bringing it up in a browser that has Show friendly HTTP error messages disabled.

    Hi guys,
    I get the an exception when trying to call a method on my IIS hosted service.
    The content type text/html; charset=utf-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8).
    I manually create the binding in code and it is set up like this;
    binding.MessageEncoding = WSMessageEncoding.Text;
    binding.TextEncoding = Encoding.UTF8;

    Do I need to do something with the service code as well? How do I set the content type of the response message from the service?
    -Thanks

    Based on the error message it seems like you need to set the request content type to text/xml. The error is happening from the CommandServlet which will be called before FormHandler logic execution.

    Hi,

    DB:2.88:The Content Type Text/Xml; Charset=Iso-8859-1 Of The Response Message Does Not Match The Content Type Of The Binding (Text/Xml; Charset=Utf-8). ak

    Hi Puneet,
    Similar to your experience, I was not able to get any WCF Adapter to accept an iso-8859-1 encoded message. I also gave up on WCF Adapters and switched to using an older Adapter, except in my case I switched to using the old SOAP Adapter instead of the old HTTP Adapter. The old SOAP Adapterworked perfectly fine with iso-8859-1 encoded messages.Both the old SOAP Adapter and old HTTP Adapter have their advantages and disadvantages. For the HTTP Adapter, you have to manually build and parse the SOAP envelopes.....which is kind of a pain, but gives you full control. For the SOAP Adapter you have to populate or pull data from all the multi-part message parameters one-by-one.....which is also kind of a pain if you have many parameters in a SOAP request or response, but you don't need to manually build any SOAP envelopes.I'm glad we both found a suitable workaround.I actually opened a ticket to Microsoft for this WCF Adapter issue, however they wasted too much time trying to set up an environment to replicate my problem, and I had already discovered the SOAP Adapter workaround. So I told them to close the case before they were even able replicate the problem. I didn't want them to use up many costly hours ofmy Premier Support hours and then simply come back and possibly say Sorry ...WCF Adapters do not support iso-8859-1 encoded messages.Regards,Greg

    Hello everyone,

    I am using JavaMail API 1.1.3 to download mails from POP3 servers. The application seems to be working fine except when I am seeing the following entries in the message header:

    1) Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bits

    Exception -- Unknown encoding: 8bits

    2) Content-Type: text/plain;
    charset="utf-7"

    Unsupported encoding exception -- utf-7 [could not load class sun.io.ByteToCharutf-7]

    3) Content-Type: text/plain;

    Did anyone encounter this before and/or have a resolution? Appreciate if you can share if there is a fix.

    Thanks in advance.

    DB:2.85:Re: Stop It Tranforming My Xml Response kc

    So it's the text/html content type which is the cause of the problem. There must be some code on the back end (i.e. remote server) which decides to change content type if the request is gatewayed. EDK never does that. If you can track down why the content type is set incorrectly, you will figure out why this is happenning. You can also insert an explicit call to set the content type to text/xml on the response on that page only and see if that fixes it.

    DB:2.85:Re: Stop It Tranforming My Xml Response kc

    There we go: we've helped each other out now - I've given you a new part to your assistance script. :-)

    I did say "within a portlet" in my original post, but I agree that it doesn't specifically state that I'm using inline-refresh. I'll do my best to be more explicit next time.

    DB:2.84:Oracle Soap Server Returns Bad Content-Type? pj

    I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but ...

    I'm using the SOAP server bundled in JDeveloper. I assume it's the Apache implementation. My question is why it returns application/octet-stream instead of text/xml as content-type of the response? Is there some config that can change the behavior?

    Thanks!

    DB:2.84:Oracle Soap Server Returns Bad Content-Type? pj

    The question of what you are using is a little complex because Oracle9i JDeveloper supports two Web services implementations:

    * Oracle9iAS J2EE Web services (http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/ias/doc_library/90200doc_otn/web.902/a95453/toc.htm) which is the implementation that Oracle is iterating towards the Sun Java Web Services Development Pack JAX standard

    * Oracle SOAP (based on Apache SOAP 2.2) which is what Oracle9iAS ships but whose support is being deprecated. This is also what the XDK ships right now.

    Could you do a quick read through one of the tutorials available in the Web services section of OTN to see that there is maybe something that might need to be changed in your configuration? At the end of each, the SOAP messages are captured and through TCP Monitor in a gif and show (at least on my machine it was) that the content type is text/xml.

    For example, this tutorial:

    http://otn.oracle.com/tech/webservices/htdocs/series/statelessejb/content.html

    uses the J2EE Web services infrastructure of Oracle9iAS and has the correct content type.

    If you are using the Oracle SOAP implementation, this other writeup shows a simple example where again the content type (shown at the end) is text/xml:

    http://otn.oracle.com/tech/webservices/htdocs/soapr1/ExploreSOAP1022.html

    There is a lot more information in the Web Services Center at http://otn.oracle.com/tech/webservices.

    DB:2.83:Unsupported Content-Type: Application/Soap+Xml c9

    I've created a simple composite application with a bpel jbi module using glassfishesbv21.
    The bpel process starts when I invoke a webservice (soap-binding).
    When I run a test case for the ca everything works fine.
    When I call the webservice from an external web application, the client (created with netbeans wizard bundled in glassfishesbv21) obtains the response as expected and doesn't report any exception while the server rises a com.sun.xml.ws.server.UnsupportedMediaException.
    Googoling I found that this maybe caused by the use of soap1.1 and soap1.2 but is also true that JAX-WS runtime should look into the WSDL to determine the binding being used and configures itself accordingly.

    the stacktrace is:

    DB:2.83:Unsupported Content-Type: Application/Soap+Xml c9

    I've created a simple composite application with a bpel jbi module using glassfishesbv21.
    The bpel process starts when I invoke a webservice (soap-binding).
    When I run a test case for the ca everything works fine.
    When I call the webservice from an external web application, the client (created with netbeans wizard bundled in glassfishesbv21) obtains the response as expected and doesn't report any exception while the server rises a com.sun.xml.ws.server.UnsupportedMediaException.
    Googoling I found that this maybe caused by the use of soap1.1 and soap1.2 but is also true that JAX-WS runtime should look into the WSDL to determine the binding being used and configures itself accordingly.

    the stacktrace is:
    ....
    Finished processing outbound messages.

    Team,

    We got one scenario. In one of the integration with third party using WSDL we are getting response with attachment. Below is the raw XML response (Using SOAPUI). We are not sure how to handle this RESPONSE in PS. Please share ur thoughts.

    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Date: Mon, 08 Oct 2012 06:46:54 GMT
    Server: Apache
    Cache-Control: no-store
    Transfer-Encoding: chunked

    --uuid:b4ee8c4f-7749-4146-a0c8-42ac06e19046
    Content-Type: text/xml

    ?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?S:Envelope xmlns:S="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"S:Body //S:Envelope
    --uuid:b4ee8c4f-7749-4146-a0c8-42ac06e19046
    Content-Id:parameters=04daf87a-4c62-45b9-89ac-3ab0394c6292@jaxws.sun.com
    Content-Type: application/octet-stream
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary

    "Application Id","Template Id","Country","Job Code"
    "241","262","","123"
    "241","301","","123"

    DB:2.83:Response With Attachment xz

    As per Oracle Support..This wont work in PS.

    The message that is failing has a Content Type for MIME [Content-Type: multipart/related;] . This is not a supported format for a Third Party post. Integration Broker only accepts a text/xml content type at the gateway level. Message Type of MIME [Content-Type: multipart/related;] is only supported between two PeopleSoft systems. The reason for having a MIME [Content-Type: multipart/related;] type between two PeopleSoft systems is to carry the IBInfo in one section and another to carry the content. In Integration Broker the the content with attachments, which is the primary reason why other third parties might be using the "multipart/related" media type, will not work at the gateway level. So posting a message via a ThirdParty to a PeopleSoft system using a MIME type [Content-Type: multipart/related; ] is not supported for this very reason.

    DB:2.82:Azure Data Market Resource Access Using Groovy/Grails/Java fs

    I am trying to use the instructions found in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg193416.aspx#WebApps to access Azure Data Market Data sources using Grails/Groovy/Java. I am getting the 403 Forbidden error. I have attached an elided code
    (removing identification information).

    The error I am getting is 403 Forbidden. And the header information in the response is:

    DataServiceVersion=[1.0;]
    Content-Length=[211]
    ActivityID=[692f88ee-9356-44e5-952f-e9b42cab34c9]

    Access-Control-Allow-Methods=[GET, POST, OPTIONS]
    Access-Control-Allow-Credentials=[false]

    Date=[Fri, 13 Sep 2013 23:20:49 GMT]
    Access-Control-Allow-Origin=[*]
    Content-Type=[application/xml]

    Changing the Content-Type header to www-form-urlencoded or application/xml in the enclosed code below produces 415 Unsupported Media Type.

    I do have authorization to access the source and I have examined the token returned by Azure and it looks legit.

    Here is the code sample

    Hello,

    I want to query an external service to get the exchange rates from a currency1 to a currency2 at a certain date.

    Service: http://currencies.apps.grandtrunk.net/getrate/2013-03-27/CHF/EUR

    This returns a value and works smooth.

    I found following example here, which works fine to do a server side javascript query to an external service:

    https://help.hana.ondemand.com/help/frameset.htm?a238abbe7bb141f1a66143da94697b95.html

    This works out fine, too.

    But if I want to do it similar like that example, I get following error: Body.asString : unsupported charset specified in Content-Type header (""UTF-8"")

    We (as i already discussed that with many colleagues) think this is due to the double quotes and xsjs has a bug on this ... but anyhow any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Here are my 2 files, similar to the example mentioned above:

    service_exchangerate.xshttpdest: host = "http://currencies.apps.grandtrunk.net"; port = 80;

    description = "Get Exchangerate by date and source-/target currency"; useSSL = false;pathPrefix = "/getrate"; authType = none; useProxy = true; proxyHost = "proxy-trial"; proxyPort = 8080; // useProxy = false; // proxyHost = ""; // proxyPort = 0; timeout = 0;

    getExchangerate.xsjs: var destination_package = "my.path.to.hanaxs.app.services"; var destination_name = "service_exchangerate"; var querydetail = "/2013-03-27/CHF/EUR"; try {
    var dest = $.net.http.readDestination(destination_package, destination_name); var client = new $.net.http.Client(); var req = new $.web.WebRequest($.net.http.GET, querydetail); client.request(req, dest); var response = client.getResponse(); $.response.contentType = "application/json"; $.response.setBody(response.body.asString()); $.response.status = $.net.http.OK;

    } catch (e) {
    $.response.contentType = "text/plain"; $.response.setBody(e.message);

    }

    I tested your code and destination from my HANA system. It works perfectly fine:

    The only change I made was in your HTTP Destination file. You had HTTP:// on the front of the hostname. This was producing an connection error when it was specified that way. I removed the http:// and then everything worked just fine.

    Hi all,I have a hard problem that I could not overcome:I recently started using URLRewriteFilter (from tuckey.org) for my Seam/Ajax4JSF application. Now I cannot get Ajax4JSF to work. The problem is that the content-type of the ajax response is not text/xml anymore.Before beginning to use the URLRewriteFilter, whenever Ajax4JSF got an ajax repsonse, the response had "text/xml" as content-type (from a:log):
    debug[21:00:59,812]: Response with content-type: text/xml;charset=UTF-8
    debug[21:00:59,812]: Full response content: ?xml version="1.0"? html

    DB:2.81:Urlrewritefilter And Ajax4jsf 3a

    Using f:view with contentType="text/xml" produces the correct content-type but the response content is still not valid. Here is the new response I'm getting:
    debug[20:15:58,259]: Response with content-type: text/xml;charset=UTF-8
    debug[20:15:58,259]: Full response content: span id="emailError"

    I created a simple java class with a method that returns org.w3c.dom.Element type.

    Created web service for this class and method in Jdeveloper.

    Deployed this web service in OC4J locally (as explained by other web services examples).

    Then I created a Client Stub for this web service (.wsdl file).

    When testing this client stub ( I followed the same steps as mentioned in OTN DEPT/EMP Web Service), I get the following exception:

    D:\JDEVELOPER\jdk\bin\javaw.exe -ojvm -classpath D:\JDEVELOPER\jdev\mywork\MyWorkspace\MyProject2\classes;D:\JDEVELOPER\jdev\lib\jdev-rt.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\jdbc\lib\classes12.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\jdbc\lib\nls_charset12.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\jdev\lib\jdev-rt.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\soap\lib\soap.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\lib\xmlparserv2.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\jlib\javax-ssl-1_2.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\jlib\jssl-1_2.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\j2ee\home\lib\activation.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\j2ee\home\lib\mail.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\j2ee\home\lib\http_client.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\lib\xmlparserv2.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\lib\xmlcomp.jar;D:\JDEVELOPER\rdbms\jlib\xsu12.jar GetProductsClient

    Content-Type: text/html

    HTMLHEADTITLE404 Not Found/TITLE/HEADBODYH1404 Not Found/H1Resource /MyWorkspace-MyProject2-context-root/GetProducts not found on this server/BODY/HTML

    The Debug shows, the Method getProductsXM() in the client stub is failing at
    Response response = call.invoke(endpointURL, "");
    This appears to be generating fault and the code is throughing exception which is not casted in to a Element type.

    Not sure what is causing this to fail. And I have not toucjed/ changed the URI for this webservice myself at all. Whatever URIs or Name spaces are there, they are all generarted by JDeveloper.

    I was trying to create a web service that display/return Resultset.

    Any feedback/suggestions ? I would appreciate if you can point me to some sample code that does this ( returning Resultset as XML -ROWSET Element)

    Thanks,

    DB:2.80:Encoding Exception / Jaxmservlet 1a

    Hello.

    I have written a SOAP client which sends a message to a JAXMServlet using the method "call". The servlets reads the request, and the onMessage methode sends back a new SOAPMessage as a response.
    Everything seems to work fine (the client receives the response) but for some reason, on the server side, this log is created :

    21 mars 03 11:38:29 CET Error HTTP [WebAppServletContext(1231301,siteemploi,/siteemploi)] Unsupported encoding: "null" specified. Using the default encoding.
    java.io.UnsupportedEncodingException: "utf-8"

    at sun.io.CharToByteConverter.getConverter(CharToByteConverter.java:62)
    at weblogic.servlet.internal.ChunkOutput.create(ChunkOutput.java:119)
    blah blah blah.

    This log is created as the Servlet sends the response message. Does anyone know what I've forgotten?

    By the way, this is the code that creates the message (server side) :

    [...]

    MessageFactory messageFactory = MessageFactory.newInstance();
    message = messageFactory.createMessage();

    SOAPPart soapPart = message.getSOAPPart();
    soapPart.setMimeHeader("content-type", "text/xml");
    soapPart.setMimeHeader("character-encoding", "ISO-8859-1");

    [ant then creates the contents]

    If you have any clue...

    Thanx,
    S. Penhoet

    DB:2.80:Encoding Exception / Jaxmservlet 1a

    Shouldn't the syntax be:

    soapPart.setMimeHeader("content-type", "text/xml; charset=ISO-8859-1");

    I am facing problem connecting to public UDDI registries like IBM and Microsoft. My PC is behind a Proxy and I have entered the IP address and port in JDevelopers Preferences dialog. The error I get is that the response is text/html instead of text/xml

    Since the PC is behind a proxy, the proxy will ask for a ID/Password and then only it will connect to UDDI. I think this is what is causing the error. Please suggest solution. The error message I get is:

    DB:2.80:Changing Http Header Paramter d1

    Hi All,

    We are trying to connect to a legacy system from SAP PI, however while sending the request we are getting the following error:

    "HTTP server code 415 reason Unsupported Media Type explanation Unsupported Media Type". After looking into the issue we found that the Content type that is set by default in HTTP adapter is "content-type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8".

    However the content type expected by our legacy system is only "content-type: text/xml".

    We have been able to achieve this by using SOAP adapter. However we have not found a way to handle this in HTTP adapter.

    Any clues as to how to handle this in HTTP adapter only?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Sanjeev.

    This is not possible as it is hard coded.

    Maybe you can write an OSS ticket to get thos changed.

    XML usually has its own encoding declaration, so it is not useful to have it in an http header.

    Mozilla displays html code in stead of the correct page. I checked the content-type in the header, it is text/plain. But inside the html file the content-type is mentioned as text/html in the meta tag.
    Is there any way to force content-type to mozilla to use text/html instead of reading from the response header.

    Make sure that the file has a .html or another known file extension to make sure that the server recognizes it as an HTML file.
    The server may send unknown files automatically as text plain.

    DB:2.80:Http Invoker Overwrites Content-Type k8

    HiI've run into a problem trying to use the http invoker with remoting 2.0.0 GA. It seems that after invoke() returns, the value for the response header "Content-Type" is always being replaced with "text/html". I have been attempting to set it as follows:

    public Object invoke(InvocationRequest req)
    {
    Map response = req.getReturnPayload();
    response.put("Content-Type","text/css");
    return someCSSasAString;
    }

    DB:2.80:Http Invoker Overwrites Content-Type k8

    Nope, the remoting code currently checks the type of response and makes a best guess at the content type.I have created a jira issue (http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBREM-653) to allow for exactly what you have posted above.

    Hi everyone,

    I am trying to invoke an aync Oracle BPEL process from WLI 8.1.6, without worrying about the response / callback. The web service control that is generated shows the operation stub as public void receive (java.lang.String input); which makes sense since I don't want any response. When I invoke BPEL though, I get the following error in WLI:

    Error WLW 000000 Failure=com.bea.control.ServiceControlException: SERVICE FAULT:
    Code:javax.xml.soap.SOAPException
    String:Unsupported Content-Type: text/plain

    There shouldn't be any response though, so how can I tell WLI to ignore what (doesn't) come back? When I check BPEL, the request is successfully received and the BPEL process completes successfully.

    Thanks,
    Nicholas
