    What operating system are you using? If Windows XP, you may have security settings on Internet Explorer that are treating the MusicMatch web site as a restricted site. XP Service Pack 2 comes with enchanced security settings. If you do have WinXP and SP2, then you just need to add http://online.musicmatch.com/ and http://www.musicmatch.com to your Trusted Sites. In IE, select Tools/Internet Options/Security. Click on Trusted Sites and add the two URLs.

    hey has anybody experienced this. I have a neighbour who got this message. I just thought configuring the firewall like norton/mcaffee/zonealarm and guess what it worked. But then i recently did come across some similar issues where it didnt make a difference with even the firewall being uninstalled. Dunno if musicmatch is hearing of this but it is a rapidly spreading problem. There is no point contacting dell about the same because the technician arent trained with the musicmatch software configurations. all they will do is the firewall option and couple of experiments here and there.

    Guys anybody has a solution for this then please post it so that we can help out friends ....... cant blame dell it is not their problem but problem of musicmatch.

    I don't know about your modum, but I can tell you I pay $5.00 a month to Comcast for my modum and my Internet goes out several times a day, if not an hour. So it's a lose-lose situation. The problem isn't modums - it's Comcast!

    Did you get a reply to this? I have the same problem. Every time I play Fifa 13, by the end of the game I am told that connection to the EAS FC server has been lost!!!!! I have also got the Virgin Media Super Hub 100mb edition so do not expect to keep losing connection. All other equipment wirelessly connected is fine!!! I am even using a cable connection between the PS3 and the hub which is running at 96mbs.

    I have used my Panasonic DMP-BDT 220 Blu Ray player to connect to MLB.TV and other internet services - You Tube, etc. - up until tonight.

    The Blu Ray player connects wirelessly through ATT Uverse router. All other internet connections are fine. In fact I am watching MLB.TV thorugh computer right now.

    Diagnosing the problem reveals that while the Blu Ray player is connected to the network (router) the internet connection has been lost.

    What is the next step?

    Upgraded Xfinity Internet connection. I have wireless printer (HP deskjet 3051A) and lap top Toshiba - and use windows 7.     Hi,

    From the cotrol panel select Devices and Printers, right click and remove any listed HP Deskjet 3050 printer by selecting Remove Device.

    From the Start menu go to Programs HP HP Deskjet 3050 and click the printer icon to launch its software.

    Select Conenct a new printer by selecting wireless connection, follow the steps on screen to configure the printer for your new router.

    Note: the installation might require a temporary USB connection in order to configure the printer for your new network.

    I would suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

    Uncheck the option “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.”
    a)Go to Start.
    b)Type Device Manager in the search box and open it.
    c)Locate Network Adapter and expand it.
    d)Right click on each devices and click on Properties.
    e)Go to Power Management.
    f)Uncheck the option “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” and click OK.

    - Pc or laptop connected to internet.
    - Database instance on that machine.

    - Db is always up, have to reconnect.

    However, what happens when you really have a database on a server. I mean, same scenario, but clients connects to this database to run some application.     Thanks for the advice. I think the problem was my firewall that I just installed. When I checked what the firewall was blocking it listed mm so a unblocked it and that solved my problem. Then when I started to download songs I lost connection again. So I just uninstalled my firewall and all seems well. But the catch to that is I need a firewall. MM seemed to be the only site that I was having problems with, but anyway all is fine for now. I may need future advice when I break out the Dell dj tomorrow. Thanks for your advice again.

    You have a few options here...none of them are really likely to be a surefire shot. You can reinstall Symantec and hope it replaces the missing registry keys, you can restore your system to a earlier date, you can try a registry repair program (most likely wont do anything...be careful which one you use; there are a lot of spyware registry repair programs out there. go to a download library...one like cnet downloads or softpaedia.), depending on the version of windows you have, you can boot from the install disc and there is a windows/startup repair option.

    Otherwise you can do a dirty install of windows (again, depends on the version of windows you have; and hope that you keep your files)...or you can reformat/clean install windows.

    I have the same problem and have numerous times tried to connect MC to the internet through the Tasks window. I can watch Netflix or other programs on the same computer outside of MC and MC says it is connected to the internet but won't play Internet

    i use itunes for all round music, this can be used to download music as well.
    off topic question does any one know why it costs more to download from the itunes UK store rather than the US store. ?0.99 compaired with $0.99.
    the problem is they are aac, which can be protected like wma files and im not sure if the micro supports protected aac or even aac at all. the other issue is there is no facility to directly transfer from itunes to the micro. which i do wonder about, is there no plug in someone could make to allow for support cos that would be fantastic for all of us (cos i believe there are a lot of us) that use itunes and zen micros.

    I have been unsuccessful in adding a RSS feed (using IE10). I have tried it on 2 machines, one using Windows 7, the other using Vista.

    Hi Adrian,

    Let's uninstall Intenet Explorer 10 and then reinstall it to troubleshoot the issue further.

    Follow the steps:
    a) Type "cmd" inside the search box under Start screen. Right Click on
    Command Prompt and select "Run as an administrator".
    b) Type the following command and hit Enter:
    FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*10.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /quiet /norestart"
    c) If you receive any error saying the command can't be run or something related to this, run the command again.

    Then, after refer to the link to dowload and install Internet Explorer:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/internet-explorer/ie-10-worldwide-languages

    Check if you still receive the same error message while adding the feeds from that website. If yes, you would need to contact the website publisher or the feed originator as it's specific to a particular wesbsite.

    GThere is a simple solution to this, simply download Firefox and use that, then go to add remove , windows features and de-select IE and disable it. PROBLEM SOLVED. and Fiirefox is a much better browser

    My system is running extremely slow. It took me 30 minutes just to get to this page. I have contacted my ISP (SBC) and they have been of absolutely no help whatsoever! I have attached my hijackthis log. Please let me know if there is a virus that is causing my system to run so slow.

    You can try to rebuild the winsock stack, but before we evenattempt that, see if this will work:

    Start "Internet Explorer", then, instead of entering a text url like www.dell4me.comin the address field, try entering

    I've been using & downloading mostly from MusicMatch, but decided to download a few songs from Real as well. The songs show up on my DJ, but do not show up on my computer in MusicMatch, so I can't use the software to create playlists or other stuff.

    MY ATTEMPTS TO SOLVE PROBLEM: The MP3 files are saved on my hard drive (in My Music), so I reloaded them into Musicmatch. It didn't help. Nearly all files will not play.

    NOTE: I've noticed that the few MP3 files that still play are labeled with time. (in minutes and seconds). For example, my MP3 file for the song Clocks still plays, and it has a label of 5:06.

    If you can't offer a solution by adjusting Musicmatch, please recommend an MP3-playing download that may play all of my files. NOTE: Ironically, Morpheus will still play all of my MP3 files, but I don't like Morpheus because of all the junk and spyware I find after using it.

    ANOTHER IRONY: This may, or may not be a related problem, but I've also lost the capability to open older MS Word files (files older than two years). I'm wondering if one of the automatic updates to Windows XP Professional may be responsible for my Musicmatch and MS Word problems.

    Do you have your internet connection correctly identified in the Internet Explorer Options? e.g. if youo have a Dial up, that Dial up connection needs to be listed (or if you have moved from Dial-up to broadband you need to remove the Dial up connection listing). Most programs use the "default" internet connection defined in Internet Explorer.

    Another issue is the Firewall. The Firewall may be blocking access for MMJB and that is the problem.

    Thanks JW for the good news. In regard to the registry change, it was when I was trying to find out what happened to all my recent bookmarks on FF. Both Spybot and MSAS gave me the option to choose what I wanted to do. I did not allow it on MSAS and while I was going to click not allow on Spybot, it took it anyway??? I am still baffled as to why my FF shows my old bookmarks, the ones I had in version 1.04. I re-downloaded 1.07 again, ( which is what I usually do when I have problems bringing up my FF browser), and I still have my old bookmarks. Been trying to figure out how to configure FF in the default and default user to get those bookmarks back now. Thanks again for your help. It is really appreciated.

    -Have you tried connecting to a wired connection, if feasible? Do you get any error message?

    NACK or NAK is a negative acknowledgment (DHCPNAK) from the DHCP server with the disabled scope.

    DHCP server will issue a NAK to the client ONLY IF it is sure that the client, “on the local subnet”, is asking for an address that doesn’t exist on that subnet.

    The server will send a NAK EXCEPT in the following scenarios:

    1. Requested address from possibly the same subnet but not in the address pool of the server:-

    This can be the failover scenario in which 2 DHCP servers are serving the same subnet so that when one goes down, the other should not NAK to clients which got an IP from the first server.

    2. Requested address on a different subnet:

    If the Address is from the same superscope to which the subnet belongs, DHCP server will ACK (acknowledge) the REQUEST.

    Additionally, I'd suggest you to visit your router manufacturer's website and check if there are any firmware updates available and update the same.

    I'm having issues with my internet connection lately, unfortunately it's not my isp provider's fault. Basically, I've been using UTorrent and after a couple minutes of downloading my internet connection is completely lost (however it still says I'm connected to the internet), leading me to restarting (disabling and re-enabling the network adaptor doesn't work) my computer, after which my internet connection works perfectly until I start using UTorrent.

    I lost my internet connection on my wired desktop and it tells me the IP configuration is invalid. Modem and cable had been replaced, computer rebooted, and we even tried to manually set a different IP config (per internet provider). I tried to follow the instruction to girrl (2011 post), but Im getting stuck on the part where she was intructed to download from Internet Explorer. How can I do that without an internet connection?

    Go to Drivers Downloads enter your service tag number, then select your operating system.

    Under network, download the drivers for your wireless adapter and save it to your desktop.

    Make a system restore point.

    Start, control panel, device manager, network, right click on your adapter, then left click uninstall. Tell it to remove the drivers and software.

    Restart your computer. When you log back in, the new hardware wizard will install the adapter. Check in the device manager and see if the adapter is installed properly. If its not installed properly, then, install the adapter with the drivers you downloaded.

    Try to connect.

    The system can see other computers on the LAN and is receiving an IP address from the router. I am unable to access the router via IE under Windows 8 but I can access it on this Windows 7 system on the same network.

    I am having exact same issue both on my iPad 1 and my iMax OSX. Wi fi signal appears strong, stable and yet in using any internet application, will not connect. iMac goes into perpetual "loading" and iPad times out. I have reset network connections. I have reboot router. I have reboot device multiple times. Only started happening after IOS 5 upgrade. Interestingly my iPhone 4 is working fine since upgrade.

    DB:2.59:Safari Crashes When Internet Connection Is Lost 99


    For about a month now, Safari has been crashing whenever I lose my internet connection (computer goes to sleep, airport turned off, ethernet cable pulled). I have tried deleting all input managers as well as all associated files. It does not crash in other user accounts.

    Any troubleshooting ideas?

    I skimmed through the crash report that may be sent to apple after an application crashes and noticed that it made reference to the Flash Player plugin. I deleted that plugin and reinstalled it from the Flash site. So far I haven't had a crash since, but I'll hold out on definitively saying this was the problem. I'm not sure why I would have had this problem with such a common plugin, while no one else seems to have had it.

    2. Which web browser you are using?
    3. Are you getting any error message?
    4. Is it wired or wireless connection?
    5. Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

    Almost sounds like the same issue I'm having at the moment, check the thread named Disconnect Problem, type ipconfig /all on your command prompt and check the lease time, if the lease time is every 3 hours then its the same issue, if not then no idea hehe but if it is contact comcast tech support and let them know.

    Since receiving the large windows live updates 2 days ago, I have lost my internet connection. I have tried twice to restore to different dates and both attempts have been unsuccessful.

    Check the Device Manager for valid Wire card entry.

    If there is No valid entry, delete any Bogus Entry, and re-install the Wire card's Drivers.

    Check the Network connections to make sure that you have a Local Area Connection Icon/Entry, and that the Properties of the Icon (right click on the Icon) are correctly configured with TCP/IPv4 protocol in the Network Connections Properties.

    Log to the Router's menu from a working computer and make sure that the DHCP is On and it is configured to assign IPs that can cover the number of computer that are connected (few more will be even better).

    Switch Off the computer and the Router, Reboot the Router, and the computer.

    Right click on the Wire card Network Connection, choose Status, Details, and see if it got an IP and the rest of the settings.

    Description is the card manufacturing data.

    Physical address is the card's MAC number.

    The xx should be a number from 0 to 255 (all xx same number).

    yy should be from 0 to 255

    zz should be from 0 to 255 (all zz the same number.

    The lease date should be valid to the current time.

    *Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx is not valid functional IP.

    *Note 2. There might be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet traffic or LAN. They are needed for Win 7 special HomeGroup configuration.

    Also Make sure that the Software Firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall On, Vista/XP Native Firewall should be Off, and the active Firewall has to adjusted to your Network IP numbers on what is some time called
    the Trusted Zone (consult your 3rd Party Firewall instructions

    Please Note that some 3rd party Software Firewalls keep blocking aspects of Local Traffic even it they are turned Off (disabled). If possible configure the Firewall correctly, or totally uninstall it to allow clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd
    party software is uninstalled or disables, make sure that Windows native Firewall is On .

    I figured it out. I needed to register my new Modem with my ISP (Cox). Once they logged in the Model/SN everything was Happy. My Airport Express configured itself upon restart.

    Why is it that every time I install another program (no matter how simple it is) Musicmatch gets goofy on me and won't go online to look up track info or keeps telling me that it cannot find my internet connection even though I AM connected? I don't want to remove the program I installed (Calendar Creator) but I am frustrated. Is there any way I can change a setting or something? Any help is appreciated. (I think when my subscriptionruns out I will find another music program to use because this is annoying!!)

    I have no idea why yours does that. I have MMJB (full registered Plus version) and do not have any problems.

    Perhaps if you list your PC Model Number, OS what firewall you are using someone may be able to assist you.

    Ever since I upgraded Internet Explorer to version 7 and updated Windows Defender (version 1.14.1937) I have not been able to display Dell's Jukebox by MusicMatch.  When I invoke the program, I notice that the Task Manager shows it as a running process, but the screen never displays.  Does anyone know how I might get it working again?

    Thanks for the info.  I wound up just uninstalling IE7, but this sounded like a better approach.  Actually, I found that IE7 was not compatible w/ a couple of programs that I have (e.g. McAffee Virus Scan v.10) so I may have had to uninstall it anyway.  I think from now on I'm going to make sure that something is tried and true before I use it.

    See the other replies you've gotten, but also be aware that your
    hardware may be damaged.
    In the future whenever you have a nearby thunderstorm, you should
    always turn off and unplug the computer, and also turn off and
