    DB:4.51:Weblogic Soap Client To Ms Soap Server 7p

    An article at
    www.perfectxml.com/articles/xml/soapguide.asp?p=on
    shows how to invoke a MS SOAP service from an Apache SOAP client.
    How would you invoke a Microsoft SOAP service from a WebLogic SOAP client? How
    would that client invoke an Apache SOAP service?
    Thanks,
    Ben

    DB:4.51:Weblogic Soap Client To Ms Soap Server 7p

    I am looking for the solution to the same issue of calling MS SOAP server from WebLogic SOAP client. I see your reply in MIME format, but I don't know how to translate to plain text, is there anyway you can send me the text format version.

    Thanks,
    HL

    DB:4.46:Jwsdp 1.4 Problem With Soap Faultcode fs

    Hi,
    I get "deserialization error: XML reader error: unexpected character content: "SOAP-ENV:Server"" on my client when the server returns a soap fault like this:

    ?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns="factum.se/dab" xmlns:DAB="factum.se/dab" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    SOAP-ENV:Header/
    SOAP-ENV:Body
    SOAP-ENV:Fault
    SOAP-ENV:faultcode
    SOAP-ENV:Server
    /SOAP-ENV:faultcode

    [CDATA[Entry not found.]]
    /SOAP-ENV:faultstring
    /SOAP-ENV:Fault
    /SOAP-ENV:Body
    /SOAP-ENV:Envelope

    Is it a bug in JWSDP 1.4 ?

    DB:4.46:Jwsdp 1.4 Problem With Soap Faultcode fs

    Yes, it works. Thank you!
    I would very much like to know why the faultcode element cannot be namespace qualified. It seems very strange to me. Surely it must belong to some namespace other than the default namespace?

    Hi,When I received a soap fault without faultstring attribute set. I got Server returned an invalid SOAP Fault message.How can I get the bypass this and deserialize the fault without faultstring?Or is there any other way to get raw string of soap xml?

    DB:4.29:Wcf Client Deserialize Soap Fault Without Fault String kc

    Hi ERDEM, In this scenario you can try to implement the IClientMessageInspector interface and add it to the MessageInspectors collection to inspect or modify messages as they pass through a WCF client object so as to implement your requirement. Please refer to this article for your reference and let me know the result. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc163302.aspx#S5

    I am working on Web Services. I am using JAX-RPC for Client code generation from WSDL. The Client has to connect to Webservice deployed on WebLogic Server.

    Here is the information:

    1. Command for code generation:

    Also once I get the SOAP message what is the best way to parse or iterate through its contents.

    DB:3.99:Classcastexception Trying To Parse Soap Message 3p

    Hello,

    I have 2 server applications that send out SOAP messages:
    In the first I build a SOAP message the hard way (adding the SOAPElements one by one to the SOAPBody).
    In the other I create the SOAP message through an XSLT transformation (using the Transformer class) and via the SOAPPart.setContent I associated the result (which is a correct XML SOAPMessage) the SOAP message.

    Both SOAP messages get send out with no problem, both look the same, except that the second solution automatically adds "new lines" in the message, but following XML and SOAP standards this doesn't make any difference.

    An other differance is that the XML header line is thrown away: ?xml ...? is no longer present (however this line was in the resulting Transformation). Why? How to prevent this?

    Processing on the client the first message is not a problem, the second message crashes the application.
    Processing is done as follows:
    SOAPEnvelope theEnvelope = theMessage.getSOAPPart().getEnvelope();
    SOAPBody theBody = theEnvelope.getBody();
    Iterator theIterator = theBody.getChildElements();
    SOAPElement theRootElement = (SOAPElement)theIterator.next();

    The second message crashes on the last line (the Cast)... Why?

    SoapMessage 1 is: (part off)
    ?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?
    soap-env:Envelope xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"soap-env:Header/soap-env:BodyDIDL[snip]/DIDL/soap-env:Body/soap-env:Envelope

    SoapMessage 2 is: (part off)
    soap-env:Envelope xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    soap-env:Header/soap-env:Header
    soap-env:Body
    DIDL
    [snip]
    /DIDL
    /soap-env:Body
    /soap-env:Envelope

    Is this a bug? How to solve this?

    thx in advance,

    DB:3.85:Inbound Xml Message Using Soap/Web Services ks

    In 11.5.10, the WSDL is available in the top level menu. You can download this WSDL and send in the message from the remote client. Essentially, the WSDL exposes the same underlying protocol used by the Oracle Transport Agent i.e. it expects a complete document in and will return a message id.

    DB:3.84:Error Re-Using Sender Soap Channel pc

    Hi,

    I have a requirement to send multiple messages to PI using same SOAP Sender Channel; I referred to help.sap.com and found that there is no restriction in re-using a SOAP Sender Channel.

    However when I sent a message using SAP SOAP client, namespace for soap envelope got added which is failing the messages in PI.

    Correct message:
    ?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?
    ConsumerData
    UserId12345/UserId
    AccountData9561234/AccountData
    /ConsumerData

    DB:3.84:Error Re-Using Sender Soap Channel pc

    The problem the legacy system which will send message to PI can include only one URL in its code and hence the need to generate one URL per source system.

    Dont understand your statement generate one URL per source system

    What I meant is you create webservice using soap sender and provide wsdl to the client or legacy system.

    Example: Interface A Using your webservice get database query information (synchronous and HTTP)

    Example Interface B Using your webservice get mortgage information (synchronous and HTTP)

    For Interface A and B, You can use the same soap sender communication channel but you might have to create different wsdl for these two. so you will provide 2 WSDL to the client.

    In your WSDL, if you search for the soap:address location xml tag, you will find URL that has different sender interface and namespace details.

    Note: If you deal with one interface, then you dont have any issue.

    Hope that helps.

    DB:3.84:Urgent Help --- Webservice Client -- Xi -- R/3 p3

    Hi Henry !

    I suggest you to use a java client proxy. If you still want a standalone java client, then you must decide which protocol/adapter you want to use to send data to XI. You can choose HTTP to send data directly to Integration Engine, so you must develop a java HTTP client, the only thing XI-specific should be the connection parameters and be sure to send the data already in XML using the same schema of the data type/message type created for the outbound message in Integration Repository.

    Matias.

    DB:3.84:Table Parameter Issue With Rfc/Webservice 9d

    How to get the table from SOAP RFC\web service in AS620.

    I config the RFC\Webservice comply with the manual (SOAP RUNTIME HELP). When i use sap soap client to test the webservice with RFC function "STFC_CONNECTION".

    It works fine. But when i test RFC function "MM_MATERIALS_FOR_GROUP". I found that the table is not filled in Soap Response as follows.

    SOAP Response:

    ?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?

    SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"

    SOAP-ENV:Body

    rfc:MM_MATERIALS_FOR_GROUP.Response xmlns:rfc="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions"

    T_MATERIALS xmlns=""/T_MATERIALS

    /rfc:MM_MATERIALS_FOR_GROUP.Response

    /SOAP-ENV:Body

    /SOAP-ENV:Envelope

    I think the correct response should be:

    T_MATERIALS

    item

    MATNR.../MATNR

    MAKTX.../MAKTX

    MEINS.../MEINS

    /item

    ...

    /T_MATERIALS

    The function "MM_MATERIALS_FOR_GROUP" work fine in SE37

    How can i resolve this problem. The return table is so important to our application.

    DB:3.73:How To Test Non-Soap Owsm Registered Service? dp

    OWSM 10.1.3.4

    I have registered a simple BPEL process in OWSM.

    SOAP service URL is ....../gateway/services/SID0003027
    Non-SOAP service URL is ...../gateway/xml/SID0003027 (as per documentation)

    Testing the SOAP service URL within the OWSM test page works as expected. On the test page I can alter the default endpoint URL(the services one) so that it points to ....../gateway/xml/SID0003027. This then "works" with the response however the soap envelope has been added:

    env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    env:Header/
    env:Body
    BPELProcess1ProcessResponse xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/BPELProcess1"
    result12456/result
    /BPELProcess1ProcessResponse
    /env:Body
    /env:Envelope

    How can I test the non-SOAP service without the SOAP envelope? i.e. just the xml is returned

    I have tried the Simple REST Client Chrome extension but no data is returned.

    Cheers

    DB:3.73:How To Test Non-Soap Owsm Registered Service? dp

    Update for help of others....

    Since OWSM only supports SOAP messages then Oracle advise that you cannot use REST services with OWSM.

    Oracle's advice was to use OEG (Oracle Enterprise Gateway) but that's an extra cost option.

    For info, it is possible to create Rest services using Application Server or JDev(using Jersey) but in my case I needed to secure them using OWSM - which can't be done.

    Hope this helps others with their investigations.

    Cheers

Module Key= soap Parameter Name=XMBWS.NoSOAPIgnoreStatusCode Parameter value= trueNow my fault message are entring SAP PI system, but system treating it as response payload.We have written a java mapping to convert both successful and error response to an expected xml.My scenario is working fine when we are triggering the message from PI RWB. if we are triggering same message from PROXY, my webservice is not returning extected response. it is returning some thing else and if I check the error log it giving me below error."MESSAGERequest processing failed; nested exception is org.springframework.ws.soap.SoapMessageCreationException: Could not create message from InputStream: Invalid Content-Type:application/xml. Is this an error message instead of a SOAP response?; nested exception is com.sun.xml.messaging.saaj.SOAPExceptionImpl: Invalid Content-Type:application/xml. We tested the Web Service-XML (Remedy XML) published by Remedy through SOAP utility and it works fine. Able to post data to remedy.

    But in real scenariao, when data comes from third party, SOAP xml is coming as below. And throws error 8962. The same has been observed in SOAP UI client and Mid-Tier logs.

    I don't find any SOAP timeout setting in weblogic. You can increase Post Timeout setting under Protocols-HTTP for the weblogic server and check your scenario. Can you post full exception trace?

    I am trying to validate a SOAP message (request or response) by means of Xerces

    How can I get the XML Schema that Xerces requires in order to validate the SOAP

    Thanks in advance.

    DB:3.66:Can Xerces Validate A Soap Message By Itself? da

    My problem is in the SOAP client, which I have to develope in C++. Which SOAPAPI can I find in all those
    platforms?You might want to look at "WASP Server Lite for C++" from Systinet. Here's the
    URL: http://www.systinet.com/products/waspc/index.html

    Which SOAP API can I find in all those platforms?You probably won't, which is also probably why most folks use Java for creating
    SOAP servers and processors.

    XML schema of the function parameters of the service that I
    am publishing is also required by the parser, isn't it? Well, first off SOAPdoesn't require the use of a WSDL, so it may not be such a good ideal to "marry"
    them ;-)
    Next, if you are talking about your SOAP server receiving a SOAP message from
    a client, no WSDL is sent with it so you don't have an XML Schema at all ;-) Here,
    your SOAP server will either be able to de-serialize (or decode) the data types
    used in the SOAP message, or not.
    If you are talking from the SOAP client perspective, you are basically just using
    the WSDL to construct the SOAP message you want to send, right? The point I'm
    trying to make here, is that WSDL is used to generate SOAP messages, not validate
    the.
    It sounds like you are on the "right track" in your thought processes, but a bit
    amiss in how SOAP and WSDL processors actually work.
    Weblogic does not provide that XML schema but a WSDL file,
    so, how can I get the XML Schema?The XML Schema you are referring to is in the types element of the WSDL document.

    Thanks Michael,

    I was not aware at all of that problems in performance, maybe I will
    have to think
    of another solution.

    I am developing a J2EE SOAP server so I hope there will not be any problems
    on
    portability (Windows, Solaris, HP/UX, AIX, ...). My problem is in the
    SOAP client,
    which I have to develope in C++. Which SOAP API can I find in all those
    platforms?
    Why the Apache group does not develope C++ APIs any more (like they did
    with Xerces)?

    And my second question is again relating the validation of a SOAP message
    (request
    or response). Besides the XML schemas for the "encoding" and the "envelope",
    the
    XML schema of the function parameters of the service that I am publishing
    is also
    required by the parser, isn't it? Weblogic does not provide that XML
    schema but
    a WSDL file, so, how can I get the XML Schema? Can it be create from
    the WSDL?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi David,

    You can find the XML schema for SOAP encoding at:

    http://www.w3.org/2001/06/soap-encoding

    and the one SOAP envelope at:

    http://www.w3.org/2001/06/soap-envelope

    I'm assuming you already realize the big performance hit you are going
    to take
    by doing what you are attempting to do,right?

    In general, SOAP processors don't use Xerces (well not the Java version,
    that
    is) to validate SOAP messages, because it takes so long for it to setup
    the internal
    structures it uses for this ;-) Most SOAP processors use a "pull" parser
    (based
    on SAX2) and validate using an object graph that enforces the "rules"
    put forth
    in the SOAP specification (or Note, or whatever).

    Hi All,
    I want to view the XML SOAP Messages passed beteen client and Web Service.Additionally I want to display SOAP messages (request and response)on client Applicationin the above secnerio client is C# Windows Application.
    Thnx in Advance.
    RegardsSidheshwar

    DB:3.65:Viewing Soap Messages m3

    ASP.NET does not support by default to log the SOAP messages passed between the client and the server. You have to develop a custom soap extension to do that, you can find a good article here, http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms972353.aspx

    The soap extension only logs the messages on the server side, you will have to develop something else to show the messages on the client.

    Regards,
    Pablo.

    DB:3.62:Problem Executing Methods Using Wl On The Client And Ms Soap Toolkit On The Server pj

    Hi. We are using WL 6.1beta to test out interoperability
    between the WL SOAP support and Microsoft's SOAP support via the
    MS SOAP toolkit (we have a real need to do this). Anyway, we
    were able to execute the VB sample provided in WL 6.1beta
    succesfully. We were also able to succesfully invoke a "get"
    method on a service served up by MS's SOAP toolkit. The problem
    comes in when we try to call a method that has parameters in the
    method call. It appears to us that something with
    the 'xsi:type="xsd:string"' that the WL toolkit generates in its
    SOAP message for the parameters is not being handled correctly
    by the MS SOAP toolkit (whether the problem is in the encoding
    itself or the parsing). I have attached a sample of this below,
    but I was wondering if anyone can give us some insight as to
    what could be wrong here? By the way, the error code below
    translates to "Invalid Argument" which is part of why we are
    reasonably certain the problem is in the argument description.
    We were also able to see this problem with different data types
    as parameters. We also know that an SOAP client of this service
    using the MS Toolkit works and its parameters only contain the
    actual values, no xsi:type="xsd:XXX" specifics.

    Wouldn't a GZIP transfer-encoding of an HTTP binding of SOAP do the trick?

    Although it may be fatter on the wire, text/xml can squeeze into places (on

    Does WL6.1 provide a method of compression/decompression for SOAP

    hi Sam -

    I've downloaded the GZip filter from dev2dev - I want to use it on webservices
    which return several Mbytes of data in the response. What do I need to do on
    the client side to make it work - specifically - how do I get "Accept-Encoding"
    - "gzip" in the HTTP Header.

    - Mike mreiche_at_bea

    "Sam Pullara" sam@bea.com wrote:
    GZip is a streaming compression algorithm that does not require a manifest

    forth. In fact, earlier this week I posted a Servlet Filter that would
    do
    compression for all webapp resources if the client claims that it supports
    gzip compression by passing a "Accept-Encoding" header with "gzip" as
    a
    value. The Java client for this is straightforward. I suggest that
    if you
    want to try this with our SOAP implementation that you create and register
    a
    new URLConnection for HTTP and install the filter on the server-side.
    That
    would do this transparently. In the mean time, I will talk to our Web
    Services team about making this an option for the deployment of services

    Hi all,

    I've just joined BEA in the Standards and Technologies area, focusingon
    XML
    and Web services. This is my BEA newbie post ;-)Welcome.

    I was on the interest group for the XML Packaging Task force, whichwent
    pretty much nowhere.Which Packaging Task Force was that?

    There is no current mechanism for packing and/or
    compressing xml documents.Mechanism where? People compress XML all the time - sometimes withouteven
    knowing it (like HTTP transfer-encoding=gzip)

    One of the options for the xml-package was to
    use zip. But there's a fairly large flaw, in that ZIP puts its manifest
    information at the end of the zip file, rather than the beginning.So
    you
    have to completely parse the document into memory before you cansee the
    manifest and determine how to decrypt the block. Given that manyXML
    parsers are stream based - especially when using very large files!-
    this
    was considered a pretty large stumbling block.Ouch. Isn't there any variant of zip that puts a manifest up front?It'd
    have adoption problems, but you've got to start somewhere.

    However, if you still think this is the right way to go, HTTP 1.1(as
    defined in rfc 2068) section 3.5 supports a content encoding typeof
    ZIP.
    Cheers,
    Dave Orchard

    Background:
    According to the article, "SOAP Interoperability with Microsoft and Apache Toolkits - A step by step guide" [http://www.perfectxml.com/articles/xml/soapguide.asp], the following lines of code must be added to the Apache SOAP client:

    1. SOAPMappingRegistry smr = new SOAPMappingRegistry ();
    2. StringDeserializer sd = new StringDeserializer ();
    3. smr.mapTypes (Constants.NS_URI_SOAP_ENC, new QName ("", "Result"), null, null, sd);

    Explanation:
    [ "The Apache SOAP always puts the xsi:type elements for all the parameters in the request (NumberOne and NumberTwo). However, Microsoft SOAP Toolkit does not put the xsi:type of element in the Response (Result).

    If we do not handle this difference, the Apache SOAP implementation would reject the response that the Microsoft SOAP Toolkit generated, because of the absence of the xsi:type attribute of the Result element." ]

    Question:
    Is there a similar way of handling the absence of the xsi:type attribute with the JAXM specification?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I'm using jbossws 1.0.2 but i also made some test with 1.0.3, and still have the same problem, but wasn't a jbossws problem, i solve it using the low level soapsdk way, making line by line my own soap archive in visual b.

    DB:3.60:Apache-Soap Construct Response Servlet. xd

    Hi all, I have got a java application (not an applet) which sends a SOAP-RPC message to my web-service running on Apache-SOAP. The SOAP message I would like to send looks like:

    ?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?
    SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    SOAP-ENV:Body
    ns1:addResponse xmlns:ns1="urn:doc" SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"
    info1 xsi:type="xsd:string"hello/info1
    message2 xsi:type="xsd:string"hello/message2
    integer3 xsi:type="xsd:integer"123/integer3
    /ns1:addResponse
    /SOAP-ENV:Body
    /SOAP-ENV:Envelope

    If we try to hardcode the response of the called method on the server and say that we need a return type of String (see below)

    public String add(String a, String b)
    {
    String aa = "Alpha";
    String bb = "Beta";
    String cc = "123";
    String returnToClient = "";

    returnToClient ="info1 xsi:type=\"xsd:string\""+aa+"/info1\r\n"+
    "message2 xsi:type=\"xsd:string\""+bb+"/message2\r\n"+
    "string3 xsi:type=\"xsd:string\""+cc+"/string3\r\n";

    return returnToClient;
    }

    then the response (captured with TcpTrace) will look like the one below.

    ?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?
    SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    SOAP-ENV:Body
    ns1:addResponse xmlns:ns1="urn:doc" SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"
    return xsi:type="xsd:string"info1 xsi:type="xsd:string"Alpha/info1
    message2 xsi:type="xsd:string"Beta/message2
    integer3 xsi:type="xsd:integer"123/integer3
    /return
    /ns1:addResponse
    /SOAP-ENV:Body
    /SOAP-ENV:Envelope

    Furthermore, if I use something like:
    public void doPost(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res)
    {
    }

    How can I determine that this method has been called from the "add" method from the client side or from the "another_one" ? And secondly, how my servlet will be able to constuct a SOAP response message that will be able to include customised elements and send them back to the client. I would be grateful if you could give a small exampple.

    Thank you very much in advance.

    Dear Friend,

    Why don't you try AXIS (Apache SOAP) to access a webservice from either java client or any other...it's better solution for accessing java web services...

    Regards,

    If you need to know what is going over TCP/IP, there are lot of tools.
    One I usually use is ssltap which you can get from mozilla.org. They have nice docs for this tool and I found it very useful for looking at the raw xml in web-services test.

    if you want to use stubs you have to create them using suns wireless toolkit (for example). there are some samples around.

    for ksoap2 you have to create mappings. see

    Hello All - I was recently emailed some wsdls from a client and need to generate what the soap would look like from them. I don't have direct access to the soap locations (that would be too easy), so is there an easy way to take the actual WSDLs they
    sent and get a sample XML SOAP message and response from it?

    DB:3.58:Generating A Sample Xml From A Wsdl 1x

    Why do you need to create XML? The typical way to call a web service is to use Add Service Reference and then make calls on the proxy classes.

    Hello all,
    I have a Apache SOAP-RPC server running at my end.
    I have a Java method exposed thru a service.
    My Soap-RPC works great when I test it using a Java Client.

    Now I want to call this service using a Visual Basic client.
    Once I sent the request from the VB client, I get a SOAP Fault like:

    faultstringUnsupported content type "application/x-www-form-urlencoded", must be: "text/xml"./faultstring

    If anyone has faced this problem or knows how to solve this problem please help.

    Yes in my VB client I do set the COntent type to be "text/xml".

    DB:3.58:Soap Header Creating Problem c9

    Which version of VB are you using? I have VB6 and Excel clients accessing a JAX-RPC server using the MSSOAP Toolkit 3.0 with no problems. I had better luck with version 3.0 of the SOAP Toolkit than version 2.0.

    DB:3.57:Rmi Vs Soap/Xml 7z

    Need suggestions/help in deciding the method of communication between Swing GUI Client and remote business objects (EJBs). What are the advantages/disAdvantages OF using SOAP/XML or Java RMI for this?? Any suggestion of resources (URL) is also appreciated.
    Thanks

    DB:3.57:Rmi Vs Soap/Xml 7z

    If you're doing this on a LAN then RMI is probably the way to go. If you're sending these over the internet, SOAP may be preferable. RMI serializes objects into byte arrays while SOAP serializes them in to XML. You still can tunnel RMI but SOAP is more tailored for internet communication.

    Hi David,

    I have been unable to reproduce you error you describe. What version of
    WLS6.1 are
    you running. I tested the solution for lab04b on WLS6.1 and WLS6.1sp1 and
    everything
    worked fine. I can see two possible issues with the output you provided.
    First the
    XML received was missing the XML prolog element -- I think this is a known
    bug with
    WLS6.1sp2. Second, the actual exception that is being reported (No codec
    for decoding
    http://xml.apache.org/xml-soap/literalxml) concerns the inability to find
    the appropriate
    codec that is specified. The client actually does not have to specify a
    codec if
    it is willing to accept the default. Try editting the client code to comment
    out
    the three lines (25-27) about codecs and then rerun the application to see
    if that
    makes any difference.

    We will see more specific information today (Thu 25 Apr 2002) about how
    to write
    Java clients for web services. If you are still having problems then perhaps
    we can
    sort things out after class once the question and answer session is complete.

    We are using Microsoft SOAP Toolkit 3.0 in our client application to build SOAP messages which are sento to an oracle server.

    The problem we have is that when we send the SOAP message we (either using the hig-level or low-level APIs ) the server responds with the following error:
    No Deserializer found to deserialize a ':lote' using encoding style 'http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/'. [java.lang.IllegalArgumentException].

    We have tried making the call using java libraries from a java program written with JDeveloper and the server processes the transaction succesfully.
    Comparing the messages generated by both libraries, we find the following differences:

    Message generated by client using Microsofto SOAP Toolkit 3.0
    ?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?
    SOAP-ENV:Envelope
    xmlns:SOAPSDK1="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:SOAPSDK2="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

    /SOAP-ENV:Envelope

    Message generated by client using apache SOAP 2.3.1
    ?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?
    SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"

    /ns1:pinvirtualtrans
    /SOAP-ENV:Body
    /SOAP-ENV:Envelope

    Comparing the SOAP messages and interpreting the error message, we think that the problem is caused because the oracle server expects message parts to be specified with their corresponding data type (xsi:type="xsd:string").

    We have been trying low-level APIs (method Serializer from object SoapSerializer30) provided by MS SOAP Toolkit , but can't generate the SOAP message with xsi:type="xsd:string".

    Please advise if anyone have any idea.

    DB:3.55:Incompatibility With Ms Soap Tolkit 3.0 Client And Oracle Soap Server pa

    Hi Jose,

    This is a known interoperability problem with MS SOAP toolkit, which send what is refered to as untyped request. You have an option to accept untyped request in oc4j - look at section 12.2 of the 10.1.2 Web services guide [http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_04/web.1012/b14027/custom.htm#BABEJDEC]. The tag is accept-untyped-request .

    Hope this helps,
    Eric

    Hi friends,

    While calling a web service, I am getting following error: javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException: Failed to parse WSDL

    I believe it is due to an invalid parameter set for the request soap. I need to analysis this error. Can you help me to print SOAP request at client program when program calls web service.

    Is there any way to print SOAP request XML?

    Thanks.

    Is this question related to Oracle SOA suite? Which client are you using? Use SOAPUI to validate whether WSDL is correct.

    DB:3.55:How To Do A Soap Web Service Call From Java Class? ac

    Hi,

    I am trying to create a SOAP client using java that:
    Serializes the object to XML;Calls the web method through HTTP manipulation (in this case DFS); andParse the returning XML response back into an object.

    Basically i am trying to create a custom SOAP client which will send a xml over dfs and get a response.

    I am currently trying to use the SAAJ (SOAP with Attachments API for Java) framework

    Anyone with an idea on how to do this please help.

    DB:3.55:How To Do A Soap Web Service Call From Java Class? ac

    SAAJ is just an extension - forget it for now.

    1. Try to use EMC DFS SDK. That has a complete set of client jars, to consume DFS services, you don't need to generate any java client, only build your app. (DFS SDK uses JAX-WS behind the scenes)

    2. If you cannot use EMC DFS SDK, then you can build your own WSDL based client. For example you can generate a client with JAX-WS (look for the appropriate version which your application server supports). It has a utility wsimport.

    3. If it does not do, you can also generate a Java client with Axis (1.x or preferably 2.x), it has a utility wsdl2java if I remember well.

    Need suggestions/help in deciding the method of communication between Swing GUI Client and remote business objects (EJBs). What are the advantages/disAdvantages OF using SOAP/XML or Java RMI for this?? Any suggestion of resources (URL) is also appreciated.
    Thanks

    DB:3.55:Soap/Xml Vs Rmi 3f

    SOAP/XML is probably a better choice if you need to communicate through a firewall..... RMI tends to get blocked although it is a good choice if your client and remote business logic is on the same domain. There are simple new approaches out there as well. Check out www.xobjex.com

    Hi,
    I am using a command in Websphere Commerce(WC) as "WebServices Provider " .For new users command is WC specific java program which takes input and throws back the result to the calling program.

    when a client sends a SOAP xml request to WC WebService Command,it sends back the SOAP XML response in the form of JSP to client.The Client is in Microsoft .Net language.

    My Question is:

    1)How the client is interpreting the SOAP XML response in JSP.
    2)Since the client being a .Net provider,to understand this response,he has to make any extra
    configuration ???

    Can somebody in the forum can help me in this regard.

    DB:3.54:Wcf And Soap 1.1 Encoded Message, Deserialization Problem pj

    Hi, everyone.
    Consider following SOAP 1.1 reply message returned by some service.
    ?xml version=1.0 encoding=UTF-8?
    SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ xmlns:ns1=http://localhost/main/service/treatment.php xmlns:SOAP-ENC=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/ xmlns:xsd=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema xmlns:xsi=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/
    SOAP-ENV:Body
    ns1:ReadResponse
    return SOAP-ENC:arrayType=xsd:ur-type[3] xsi:type=SOAP-ENC:Array
    item xsi:type=xsd:int-1/item
    item xsi:type=xsd:int0/item
    item xsi:nil=true/
    /return
    /ns1:ReadResponse
    /SOAP-ENV:Body
    /SOAP-ENV:Envelope
    I am using WCF generated client (with serialization set to xmlserializer) and message is received over basic http binding.
    According to WCF doc, BasicHttpBinding is using soap 1.1 message format.

    However, client is unable to deserialize that message, complaining on ur-type (part of soap 1.1 encoding spec)

    System.ServiceModel.CommunicationException: Error in deserializing body of reply message for operation 'Read'. --- System.InvalidOperationException: There is an error in XML document (2, 463). --- System.InvalidOperationException: The specified type
    was not recognized: name='ur-type', namespace='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema', at return xmlns=''.

    Anyone has had similar issue?
    What could be causing this error and what could be possible workaround as ur-type although deprecated is valid within soap 1.1.
    Any idea, suggestion, advice is highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    DB:3.54:Wcf And Soap 1.1 Encoded Message, Deserialization Problem pj

    Hi,
    From:
    http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-xmlschema-1-20041028/structures.html#ur-type-itself
    The soap message you providedis invalid because the name of ur-type should be anyType. You can also confirm this by looking up ur-type in
    http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema.xsd. You're unable to find it. It looks like a sample including ur-typein SOAP 1.1 specification section 5.4.2 is a little misleading, however, in my opinion. Anyway,
    you may use anyType instead, for example:
    s:Envelope xmlns:s=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/s:Body s:encodingStyle=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/
    xmlns:xsi=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance xmlns:xsd=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchemaq1:GetDataResponse xmlns:q1=http://tempuri.org/GetDataResult

    xsi:type=xsd:int2/Item/q2:Array/s:Body/s:Envelope

    DB:3.54:Help! Soap Xml Response Contains "≪" Instead Of '≪' ja

    Running on WL 6.1. I've created a stateless session EJB. I've already created
    the EAR file and deployed it in the console. I can view the WSDL, etc, etc. Everything
    looks okay on the server.

    We have a C client that will be opening a socket to post an HTTP request to our
    SOAP server. I've simulated this by using a Java client to open a socket and send
    the following the HTTP request:

    -------------------------
    POST /vru/wsvru HTTP/1.0
    Host: localhost
    Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8
    Content-Length: 474
    SOAPAction: ""

    ?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?
    SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"

    p.org/soap/encoding/"
    ssn xsi:type="xsd:string"111-22-3333/ssn
    zip xsi:type="xsd:string"22222/zip
    /ns1:getOrders
    /SOAP-ENV:Body
    /SOAP-ENV:Envelope
    -------------------------

    The server gets the request and returns a String. The return type for the EJB
    method is "String". Specifically, we're trying to return an XML String. I get
    back the following (forgive the text wrapping):

    ---------------------
    HTTP/1.0 200 OKDate: Mon, 18 Feb 2002 23:22:23 GMTServer: WebLogic Web

    rorTextCould not find consumer/errorText /Error/VruInter
    face/return/ns0:getOrdersResponse/SOAP-ENV:Body/SOAP-ENV:Envelope
    ------------------------------

    The pertinent part is really the returned String:

    !DOCTYPE VruInterface SYSTEM "VruInterface.dtd"
    VruInterface
    Error
    errorNumber1/errorNumber
    errorTextCould not find consumer/errorText /Error
    /VruInterface

    The problem is that the XML '' characters are being converted into "".

    With Apache SOAP, I was able to specify a custom serializer to keep it from doing
    this.

    I don't see a way to do this with WebLogic 6.1 SOAP.

    How can I keep this from happening????

    Thanks in advance.

    DB:3.54:Help! Soap Xml Response Contains "≪" Instead Of '≪' ja

    This is a limitation on 6.1. We currently don't have a plan to change it. The only solution is to upgrade to 7.0 or 8.1.

    Hi,

    I am trying to send a XML document from a JAXM service servlet to the JAXM client.
    I already have a XML dom object available in the servlet which I receive from the backend.
    I need to insert this XML in the SOAP envelope and pass it on to the client.

    The coffee Break PriceListServlet example in JWSDK constructs a XML message manually
    using addChildElement() method.

    My question is, how can you insert a already readymade XML document into a SOAP
    message ?

    Thanks in advance,
    kevin.

    DB:3.53:Converting Xml Dom Object To Soap Message c9

    The JAXM API does not supply a easy way to do this. I ended up writing a class to convert between a DOM and the SOAP Elements required by JAXM. Seems like a big oversite to me...

    DB:3.52:Handling Invalid Soap Faults kk

    Hi, I'm using WCF to access a 3rd-party's SOAP service. Sometimes it returns a SOAP fault, and I obviously want to handle any faults gracefully.Unfortunately the XML of the SOAP faults received is incorrect (invalid XML for the faultcode element). This is a 'known issue' with the company providing the service but I have no control over this and would like to be able to work-around the issue in the meantime.The problem is that this incorrectly formed SOAP fault is itself causing an xml serialization exception to be thrown somewhere in the depths of WCF, effectively 'losing' the original fault information. My question is...on receiving any exception from a SOAP call, is it possible to use the WCF proxy client object or something to check for and access the original fault xml so I can at least extract the rest of the fault information myself?

    DB:3.52:Handling Invalid Soap Faults kk

    Ah yes, managed to get it working (by looking up various examples on the web) but changing the message does seem rather complicated!Anybody know if the code below can be made simpler?(Basically the fault codes are arriving with a namespace prefix for a namespace that isn't declared, so I'm determining the prefix, seeing if it exists, then inserting it into the Fault tag if it doesn't).
    void IClientMessageInspector.AfterReceiveReply(ref System.ServiceModel.Channels.Message reply, object correlationState)
    {
    // Service returns invalid SOAP faults, in that the fault code value is
    // using a prefix for a namespace that doesn't exist. Since its unknown when or if that will
    // ever get fixed - and it causes an xml serialization error in WCF - we'll look for the situation
    // here and manually fix it!
    if (reply.IsFault)
    {
    XElement rootTag = XElement.Parse(reply.ToString());

    XNamespace soapenvNS = http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/;
    IEnumerableXElement faultTags = rootTag.DescendantsAndSelf(soapenvNS + Fault);

    if (faultTags != null faultTags.Count() 0)
    {
    XElement faultTag = faultTags.First();
    XElement faultcodeTag = faultTag.Element(faultcode);
    if (faultcodeTag != null)
    {
    string faultcode = faultcodeTag.Value;
    // Extract any bit before the ':' sign (if any)
    string prefix = faultcode.Substring(0, faultcode.IndexOf(':'));
    if (prefix.Length 0)
    {
    // Now test if this is a valid namespace
    XNamespace prefixNS = faultTag.GetNamespaceOfPrefix(prefix);
    if (prefixNS == null)
    {
    // Finally, we know this is invalid, so we'll just add it ourselves (any value will probably do - since it seems to be called wst I'll use the ws-trust namespace?)
    prefixNS = http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-sx/ws-trust/200512/;
    faultTag.Add(new XAttribute(XNamespace.Xmlns + prefix, prefixNS));

    // New message - have to create a temp message and transfer to a MessageFault first (?) then
    // use the MessageFault to create the new modified message (is there a simpler way?!?!)
    System.ServiceModel.Channels.Message tmpMsg = System.ServiceModel.Channels.Message.CreateMessage(
    reply.Version, reply.Headers.Action, faultTag.CreateReader());
    MessageFault messageFault = MessageFault.CreateFault(tmpMsg, 1000000);
    tmpMsg.Close();

    System.ServiceModel.Channels.Message newMsg = System.ServiceModel.Channels.Message.CreateMessage(
    reply.Version, messageFault, reply.Headers.Action);
    newMsg.Headers.CopyHeadersFrom(reply.Headers);
    foreach (string propertyKey in reply.Properties.Keys)
    newMsg.Properties.Add(propertyKey, reply.Properties[propertyKey]);

    reply.Close();
    reply = newMsg;

    string test = reply.ToString();

    Nett_Fan, I don't know off the top of my head what problem you're running into, but you may want to try switching over to the binary formatter for serialization.  The binary formatter gives better performance and features (generics, etc.) than the SOAP formatter.

    It works fine now.

    The codeFactory has to be registered with the LiteralCodec

    CodecFactory factory = CodecFactory.newInstance();
    factory.register( new SoapEncodingCodec() );
    factory.register( new LiteralCodec() );

    h.put( "weblogic.soap.encoding.factory", factory );

    Found it from the LiteralCodec Example in this newsgroup.

    Atleast one example that comes with the Weblogic server should explain how to
    pass complext data type.

    parsing, two much memory consumtion, etc.).

    Is there anyway i can mark my service return as an internal xml in the xml
    soap response (and therefore, for instance, be able to apply specific schema
    validation processes in the client side).

    Thanks in advance

    DB:3.45:Soap Adapter - Security ka

    The SOAP adapter contains a default implementation of the interface com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.ModuleBubbleHelper.

    Where can I find more documentation on this interface and the SOAP adapter in general?

    Could we extend the SOAP adapter to communicate with a business partner over HTTPS with certificate based client authentication?Or extend the SOAP adapter to sign the payload, e.g. with XML signing?

    I believe it's part of the content type header, but why are you doing that low level stuff yourself instead of just using a proper SOAP library to send your messages?

    DB:3.45:Serialization Of Xml And Soap 3f

    Hai, i had a couple of questions.

    How an xml node can be serialized?
    How soap messages are transfering from client to server whith out implementing the serialize interface?

    Expecting your kindness,
    Ramesh

    DB:3.45:Serialization Of Xml And Soap 3f

    hi reddy
    actually the serialzation exception wont come when you remoce the xml..so lets try with the option of removing the message queue asset properties and use the properties.xml in the Sun One Message Queue and let me know the result.

    Hi vishavdeep singhThis is application specific exception which is thrown by Web-service provider itself. Check carefully the web-service's documentation regarding the exception. Maybe input parameters that your are passing are not valid.BR, Sergei

    You can try desirailizing the object before sending the request to server, using the SOAP serialization

    After a great deal of pain and suffering, I found their web site. I did not find the information  that could help you, because I'm not a customer, and the only thing they want from non-customers is that they should pay to become customers!

    You should be able to get them to help you by following the instructions here: http://www.factiva.com/contact.asp?node=menuElem1527. Basically, if there's a web service, then there is a WSDL, and they need to tell you how to access it. There is no way to interact with a web service without a WSDL.
