    DB:3.36:G31m3-L V2 Fan Speed Question mk

    Is there a way to control the sysfan1 speed on a MS-7529 (G31M3-L V2) motherboard? It appears to be at 100% and my boss is complaining that it is way too loud for him.

    I dont see anything in the bios other than CPU fan speed. I also downloaded the Dual Core Center and can see the speed of the fan, but there doesnt appear to be a way to adjust it.

    Any guidance is appreciated.

    Regardless of what bala states, I would try speedfan. You dont loose anything trying. If you cant, get a fanmate or use a fan that is made to be quieter.

    It seems then that the only way to tell whether the G31 is F or L is for you to determine if it has the 8101E or 8111C chip.

    Hello everyone! I'm using an ifstream to take in integers from a file and store them into variables. Now, this works perfectly fine on a UNIX terminal, but when I include the file in the Visual Studio 2010 resources it simply doesn't read the file. Here's
    an example of the file...
    6
    0 1 1
    0 4 3
    0 3 4
    ...and here is my code:
    void getinput(ifstream in, Point *allpoints)
    {
    int num;
    int v1, v2, w;

    in.open(test-input-a3.txt);
    in num;
    //call to graphMap(num);
    cout num;
    while(!in.eof()){
    in v1 v2 w;
    cout v1 v2 w endl;
    //addedge (v1, v2, w);
    }
    in.close();
    }
    It prints garbage for variables num, v1, v2, and w as if they were never initialized. As previously stated, my code is fine; I just can't get Visual Studio to recognize the file. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Dear Oraclians,

    my present job is the conversion of MS SQL 2000 procedures to
    Oracle 10gR1.

    In one mssql - procedure I found the following :

    select dt, machines_ref, v2.title1,facts1.oldvalue,facts1.newvalue from sigfacts facts1
    inner join
    (Select v1.id, v1.title1,v1.var_ref, v1.compatibility from variables as v1
    inner join
    (Select id from machines where machines.line = id) as m
    on (m.id = v1.machines_ref)
    where v1.analysispriority 0)
    as v2
    on (v2.var_ref=facts1.var_ref)
    where v2.compatibility 14 and facts1.line_id = id)

    We have here a inner join on the result of the 2nd select statement.
    Is something like that also possible in Oracle ?

    How would you convert this ?
    I thought about writing several cursors for the sql statements but also heard something about the bad performance of cursors..

    Best regards,

    Daniel

    Oracle supports ANSI syntax (eg inner join) and inline views (select ... from (select...)), so you shouldn't have to change this much at all.

    One thing that doesn't seem to be supported is use of AS (it works for select expressions, but not for table aliases/roles. You can simply remove these, so:

    Select v1.id, v1.title1,v1.var_ref, v1.compatibility from variables as v1
    becomes
    Select v1.id, v1.title1,v1.var_ref, v1.compatibility from variables v1

    Hello all:

    I have a Question for Java Assignment operator.

    ///// for example:

    import java.io.*;
    import java.util.*;

    public class TestOne {
    Vector v1;

    public void changeV() {
    Vector v2 = new Vector();
    v2.addElement(new Integer(10));
    v2.addElement(new Integer(11));
    v2.addElement(new Integer(12));
    v1 = v2;
    }

    public TestOne() {
    changeV();
    System.out.println(v1.size());
    System.out.println("0: " + v1.elementAt(0));
    System.out.println("1: " + v1.elementAt(1));
    System.out.println("2: " + v1.elementAt(2));
    }

    public static void main(String[] args) {
    new TestOne();
    }

    }

    // Output from Screen
    bash-3.00$ java TestOne
    3
    0: 10
    1: 11
    2: 12

    If I understand correctly, " v1 = v2; " is assigned by reference.
    So the question is when function 'changeV' return, why v1 still holds the
    values from v2 which has been destroyed?

    Thank you

    The drivers from Linksys are the major cause of this problem. Linksys has not made a newer version for over 1 year. However, the "original" wireless "component" maker Ralink has revised their drivers for the rt28070 adapter. This appears to be the "base" that several USB N adapters makers have used to create their own adapters. With some tweaking, you can use the Ralink rt2870 drivers successfully, I have got these to work on my Windows XP Pro SP3 correctly and there is another post for Vista 64Bit.Message Edited by yleclerc on 2009-06-15 04:11 PM

    DB:2.68:Composite Key Of Varchar Columns Defies Concatenated Comparison In Where-Clause cx

    I have inherited a legacy database which has a table with a composite primary key of varchar columns. One of the triggers on the table does not handle the case of having multiple rows in the inserted table. My attempted fix was to write a simple loop that
    would iterate through all rows and process them one at atime. In the past this technique has worked for me in cases where a set-based solution was not suitable, but I had only used iton tables with a primary keyof a single column of type
    integer.
    An index variable is initially set to -1 and a query within the loop retrieves the top one row with key greater than the index from the table sorted in ascending order. On each iteration the index is set to the key of the row retrieved. Once the last row
    has been retrieved, the query to retrieve a row with key greater than the index returns null which serves as the condition for exiting the loop.
    Itried to adapt this technique to the legacy table with a composite varchar key. Unfortunately, the loop would never exit. Here is a minimal code sample that demonstrates the problem (all samples were run under SQL Server 2008):
    -- Set up test data.
    DECLARE @test TABLE
    (
    v1 varchar(10),
    v2 varchar(10)
    )
    -- Values are assumed to conform to unique constraint on combinations of v1 and v2.insert into @test (v1, v2) values ('rrrrrrrrrr', 'xxxxxxxxx')
    insert into @test (v1, v2) values ('rrrrrrrrrr', 'ddddddddd')
    insert into @test (v1, v2) values ('llllllllll', 'jjjjjjjjj')

    -- Iterate through all rows.
    DECLARE @v1 varchar(10)
    DECLARE @v2 varchar(10)
    SET @v1 = ''
    SET @v2 = ''
    WHILE (1 = 1)
    BEGIN
    SELECT TOP 1 @v1 = v1, @v2 = v2
    FROM @test
    WHERE (v1 v2) (@v1 @v2)
    ORDER BY (v1 v2) ASC -- Perform business logic here.
    print @v1 '|' @v2
    IF @v1 Is null BREAK
    END-- Output from the above code is:-- llllllllll|jjjjjjjjj-- rrrrrrrrrr|ddddddddd-- rrrrrrrrrr|xxxxxxxxx-- rrrrrrrrrr|xxxxxxxxx-- rrrrrrrrrr|xxxxxxxxx-- . . . (last row repeats forever)

    Next I tried to get it to work by setting each variable one at a time like this:
    DECLARE @test TABLE
    (
    v1 varchar(10),
    v2 varchar(10)
    )
    insert into @test (v1, v2) values ('rrrrrrrrrr', 'xxxxxxxxx')
    insert into @test (v1, v2) values ('rrrrrrrrrr', 'ddddddddd')
    insert into @test (v1, v2) values ('llllllllll', 'jjjjjjjjj')

    DECLARE @v1 varchar(10)
    DECLARE @v2 varchar(10)
    SET @v1 = ''
    SET @v2 = ''
    WHILE (1 = 1)
    BEGIN
    SET @v1 = (SELECT top 1 v1
    FROM @test
    WHERE (v1 v2) (@v1 @v2)
    ORDER BY (v1 v2) ASC)
    SET @v2 = (SELECT top 1 v2
    FROM @test
    WHERE (v1 v2) (@v1 @v2)
    ORDER BY (v1 v2) ASC)
    print @v1 '|' @v2
    IF @v1 Is null BREAK
    END-- Output from the above code is:-- llllllllll|jjjjjjjjj-- rrrrrrrrrr|ddddddddd
    This one exits but only after outputting two rows. The reason is that the setting of @v1 messes up the where-clause in the select-statement for @v2. Finally, I wrote this version with a temporary variable:
    DECLARE @test TABLE
    (
    v1 varchar(10),
    v2 varchar(10)
    )
    insert into @test (v1, v2) values ('rrrrrrrrrr', 'xxxxxxxxx')
    insert into @test (v1, v2) values ('rrrrrrrrrr', 'ddddddddd')
    insert into @test (v1, v2) values ('llllllllll', 'jjjjjjjjj')

    DECLARE @v1 varchar(10)
    DECLARE @v2 varchar(10)
    DECLARE @temp varchar(10)
    SET @v1 = ''
    SET @v2 = ''
    WHILE (1 = 1)
    BEGIN
    SET @temp = (SELECT top 1 v1
    FROM @test
    WHERE (v1 v2) (@v1 @v2)
    ORDER BY (v1 v2) ASC)
    SET @v2 = (SELECT top 1 v2
    FROM @test
    WHERE (v1 v2) (@v1 @v2)
    ORDER BY (v1 v2) ASC)
    SET @v1 = @temp
    print @v1 '|' @v2
    IF @v1 Is null BREAK
    END-- Output from the above code is:-- llllllllll|jjjjjjjjj-- rrrrrrrrrr|ddddddddd-- rrrrrrrrrr|xxxxxxxxx

    I can use this last approachto deal withthe three-part composite primary key of varchar columns in the legacy table but it sure is going to be ugly (the nature of the problem necessitates a certain degree of ugliness but I am trying to keep it
    in check).

    Why doesn't my first attempt work? What is it about setting the variablesin one statement that prevents the query from working properly? Is it a bug?Is there some other technique that would be better for iterating through the rows one at a time?

    DB:2.68:Composite Key Of Varchar Columns Defies Concatenated Comparison In Where-Clause cx

    A set-based solution is not possible because the legacy code is calling routine that needs to be called with values for each row.Ideally, we would rewrite the system to avoid this design but that is beyond the scope of the current maintenance effort.
    Using a cursor is a good solution. I have tested it and it works. Thanks for your help.

    I have noticed the recently released DG834N V2 model with a new chipset and seperate firmware version than that of the older DG834N V1.

    1. Is there a more comprehensive list of changes between the

    DG834N V1 and V2 available other than what is listed in the V2 FAQ?

    2. Will there still be future Firmware upgrades built for the DG834N V1?

    3. Do I need to throw out my DG834N V1 and buy a DG834N V2 for any

    specific reason?

    DB:2.67:Dg834n V1 And Dg834n V2 Differences ? 7z

    Hi guys,

    New to the Netgear forums but have been checkin in here for quite a while.

    Pretty surprised how negative the comments are about the DG384N .

    I've been using the v1 for quite a while now with no problems.

    It's connected to a Netgear game adapter for Xbox ( XBMC) use and another PC through a link sys AP ( client) All works fine.

    OK i'm probably not getting the full benifit of 11 n but heh it works.

    I just wish Netgear made a suitable AP client so i could dump the game adapter ( WGE 111) and linksys AP.

    Any recommendations ???

    Thanks

    Search the IMG on "define number ranges" and then maintain them.

    However, how do you know that it is a number range problem? Because nowhere in the info that you provided, does it say that?

    Depending on what you did, its usually pretty easy to fix.But if you just want to upgrade to a V2, the process is pretty easy. Just get a big hammer, smash your V1 into small bits, and then go buy a V2.

    2 questions on Application supersedence:
    1. If i set up App v2 to supersede App v1, do I have to deploy App v2 aswell? To the same collection?
    2. In task sequences that have App v1, do I have to edit them all removing App v1 and adding App v2?

    I thought I understood Application supercedence as whenever a policy is refreshed, if someone has App v1, it will replace it with App v2, without needing an active deployment. But getting conflicting info from MS and forums.
    I really do not want to have to edit 20 different task sequences every month when updates for Java, flash, adobe, firefox etc. are released. There must be a better way??!?!?

    DB:2.59:Supersedence And App Updates In Task Sequences jc

    10 different locations means that you have 10 different primary sites in different domains? Otherwise I still don't see the point of having 20 task sequences.
    With 3 OSs I would have six, three 32-bit OS three 64-bit OS = six task sequences.
    But I maybe would have 20 different collections with different collection variables assigned to them because of time, language and application differences.

    DB:2.57:What Am I Missing Here: G31m3-L V2 Fails To Oc A Core 2 Quad Q9400? xj

    I desperately need some advice. I recently upgraded my GPU from a GTX 275 to a GTX 560 ti SOC and am finding that my CPU clock is now a bottleneck to greater average FPS in WoW. I would like to simply OC my CPU from 2.66 to around 3.0 with air cooling (see below), but must be missing something fundamental.

    I have read many posts that have indicated a successful and stable OC on a Core 2 Quad q9400 far beyond 3.0 Ghz (around 3.0 Ghz with no voltage change and up to about 3.6 stable with increased voltage) and that many have OCd many processors on my MSI G31M3-l V2 mb. I can only get it to every so slightly OC from 2.667 stock to 2.738.

    I disabled Spread Specturm, EIST and C1E, tried adjusting the FSB even slightly to 343 from 333 stock x8 which brought the ram to ~822 Mhz and the processor to 2.736...but it fails repeatedly to boot. I tried to reduce the CPU FSB multipler, but any result just over 2.738 Ghz on the CPU fails. I also tried to change my FSB:RAM multiplier from AUTO to 1:1 and even with a FSB of 350, 2.8 Ghz CPU and memory at only 700 (stock is 800) it fails.

    This board does not (apparently) have the ability to adjust voltages, but even with no voltage change I have read about many others taking this CPU to 3.0 Ghz.

    I will post my systems specs below, but un-shown is a 850 watt Corsair PSU and a Coolermaster aftermarket CPU air cooler along with a Coolermaster mid-tower case with 3 big fans. I also am running the most recent bios (2.8) and drivers for my mb.

    Any insights and advice is MUCH appreciated!

    DB:2.56:Conditionally Toggle The Report Based On Hyperlink In Ssrs 2008 R2 1z

    Hi All,
    I have two reports, summary and detail reports.
    In summary report I have two columns say Type and Amount
    Type Amount
    V1 1000.00
    V2 2000.00
    Type is a hyper link column, If I click V1 in summary report, it goes to detail(drill through) report.
    Detail report contains toggle functionality for v1 and v2.
    My summary report looks like...
    Type Amount
    V1 1000.00
    V2 2000.00

    If I click V1 in summary then V1 toggle should expand and V2 should not expand in detail report...
    detail report:
    -V1
    ID Amount Date
    1 500.00 1/1/2003
    2 500.00 1/1/2003
    V2
    ID Amount Date

    If I click V2 in summary then V2 toggle should expand and V1 should not expand in detail report.
    Detail report:
    V1
    ID Amount Date

    -V2
    ID Amount Date
    1 1000.00 1/1/2004
    2 1000.00 1/1/2004
    How to do this using SSRS 2008 R2,I guess it can be done by using expression but i'm not familiar with that expression.
    Please I need this ASAP.
    Thank in Advance.

    DB:2.56:Conditionally Toggle The Report Based On Hyperlink In Ssrs 2008 R2 1z

    Hi RH,
    Based on your scenario, we can add a parameter to the Detail report, and then configure the detail row visibility and toggle initial state based on the parameter. The following steps are for your reference:

    Add an Integer hidden parameter named pm1 to the Detail report, specify 0 and 1 as the parameter's available values, and then set the default value to 0.Let's assume the name of the field in the Type column is Type. In the summary report, configure the drill through drillthrough action to pass parameters as follows:
    Name: pm1 Value: =iif(Fields!Type.Value=V1,0,1)In the Detail report, configure the visibility of the details row by using the expression below:
    =iif(Parameters!pm1.Value=0, iif(Fields!Type.Value=V1, false, true), iif(Fields!Type.Value=V1, true, false))In the Detail report, select the textbox containing the Type field, and set the “InitialToggleState” property from the Properties pane by using the following expression:
    =iif(Parameters!pm1.Value=0, iif(Fields!Type.Value=V1, true, false), iif(Fields!Type.Value=V1, false, true))
    For more information, please see:

    I have already posted this similar message before, but I have
    more details:

    Consider the following methods that override the methods of its
    superclass:

    class B extends A {

    // Override the addEdge methods so that both vertices will have
    // a directed edge pointing to each other.
    public void addEdge( Vertex v1, Vertex v2 ) {
    super.addEdge( v1, v2 );
    super.addEdge( v2, v1 );
    }

    public void addEdge( Edge edge ) {
    super.addEdge( edge );
    super.addEdge( edge.gettoVertex(), edge.getfromVertex());
    }
    }

    If I have an instance of class B and I call addEdge() like this:

    B x;
    x = new B();

    ...
    x.addEdge( v1, v2 );
    ...

    Tracing the execution of x.addEdge( v1, v2 ) reveals it steps
    into (Class B):

    1: public void addEdge( Vertex v1, Vertex v2 ) {
    2: super.addEdge( v1, v2 );
    3: super.addEdge( v2, v1 );
    4: }

    .... executes line 2 of the above method, but after returning
    from super.addEdge( v1, v2 ), instead of proceeding to line 3 of
    the above method, it instead proceeds to line 3 of the method
    below (of Class B):

    1: public void addEdge( Edge edge ) {
    2: super.addEdge( edge );
    3: super.addEdge( edge.gettoVertex(), edge.getfromVertex());
    4: }

    Hence, I can conclude that the call stack is stuffed up. Note
    that I never called addEdge( Edge ) of class B directly. So that
    if I comment out the addEdge( Edge ) method of class B, like so:

    // Override the addEdge methods so that both vertices will have
    // a directed edge pointing to each other.
    public void addEdge( Vertex v1, Vertex v2 ) {
    super.addEdge( v1, v2 );
    super.addEdge( v2, v1 );
    }

    // public void addEdge( Edge edge ) {
    // super.addEdge( edge );
    // super.addEdge( edge.gettoVertex(), edge.getfromVertex());
    // }

    ... everything works fine!!

    This call stack problem seems to happen with a combination of
    overloaded and overriden methods, as above.

    On the other side, is there a way that I can use = JDK1.2.1 from
    within JDeveloper to see if this problem persists.

    There is a function - lagX (field) - which returns the content of "field", but X observations before, so lag1 (v1) returns the contents of v1 in the last observation.

    data one;

    input v1;

    cards;

    2

    4

    6

    ;

    data two;

    set one end=last;

    v2 = lag1(v1);

    output;

    if last then do;

    v2 = v1;

    v1 = .;

    output;

    end;

    Dear all,

    A proposal has been run with following informations:

    - Company code : CC1

    - Payment method : B

    Result from proposal:

    - Vendor : V1 - V2

    - Vendor : V1 - V2

    - Vendor : V2

    We do not understand why we have 2 lines for vendor V1 instead of 1. We should have:

    - Vendor : V1 - V2

    - Vendor : V2

    By default I thaught that proposal make 1 line per vendor. Is it true?

    We have no grouping key for vendors and for payment method....

    Any idea in order to understand F110 behaviour?

    Thanks!

    DB:2.50:Replace Not Using Html Tags 8c

    Hi Heinz,

    I've always written HTML tags in separate formulas. Why don't you create a separate formula and set that formula to interpret HTML tags instead?

    I'm not sure if 'Display String' will ever be able to interpret HTML tags.

    P.S: I just saw a weird behavior though. I created a simple string formula:

    stringvar a;

    a := "Abhilash, Kumar";

    I then set this field to interpret HTML tags. Then I created this Display String Formula:

    Replace(CurrentFieldValue,",","br");

    It seems to work for the first time and as long as you DO NOT right-click the field and click OK.

    There is an issue indeed, however I would recommend creating a separate formula to interpret HTML tags.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi eliassal,
    The ComboBox is set the ItemsSource but cboSmtpServer.SelectedValue = V1 can be determined as the ComboBox select the value V1, since the ItemsSource does not have the value V1 , V1 is a property. I think you want to select the first
    item,cboSmtpServer.SelectedIndex = 0 is enough. And since you specify
    cboSmtpServer.SelectedValuePath = id, you should set the
    cboSmtpServer.SelectedValue = 1 to select the first item. (1 is the id value of the first item in the list)

    Hi everybody,

    Glad to be here , I am new to the forum and certainly a newbie to Motherboards and BIOS, etc. so please do not despair with me

    Now for the problem that has been around for about one month ago and is getting worse:

    Every time I RE-boot my PC, it shuts-down completely (no power, lights, fans, noise, nothing as if I pull the power plug out of the PC) for a second or two, and then it starts again for another couple of seconds only to shut down again and repeat these cycles of power OFF and ON from two to four times untill it stays ON for good and once it turns ON totally, it stays that way and it resumes the re-boot process and stays that way untill I re-boot it again or just shutt it down untill the next morning when I turn it on, moment on which these weird cycles of starting ON and shutting DOWN for a few seconds and a few times, repeat untill it stays ON again.

    1.- Could this be more of a PSU problem, that started failing?
    2.- Could be the MotherBoard battery (which I guess is already drained) be related to this failure?

    from the info requested on your guide lines, the only one missing is ...oooppss! the PSU one, sorry for that and in case you really need it, tomorrow I will disconnect the PC and open it.

    Hi there,

    Please help to force a resync of the suresignal V2 we got. Both lights are flashing and already tried reset no luck.

    Internet speed is fine around 8Mb and the device has worked before.

    NAT is not the problem as it has been tested working with a V1, V2 and V3 on the same router via both ADSL or VDSL. Portforward has never been needed as IPSEC VPN pass-through.

    Please try to resync!

    Hi dsldsl999,

    There can sometimes be updates carried out by your internet service provider (ISP) behind the scenes, which affect this.

    I’ve updated your address details again to make sure this is correct.

    Please reset both Sure Signals as follows:

    Hold in the reset button until all lights go solid
    Pull the power lead out with the reset button still pushed in
    Continue to hold down the reset button and reconnect the power lead
    Wait for all lights to come on and then release the reset button

    Thanks,

    First of all, these packages are for RME 4.3.1 so they do not apply to your version.  If you install this you will corrupt your package repository.  To download the available packages for your version (4.3.0) you can issue the following commands in DOS on the LMS server:

    PSUCli.bat -p rme -d -dst c:\psu_download -all

    This will download the available packages to c:\psu_download\rme.  Then install using this command:

    PSUCli.bat -p rme -install -src c:\psu_download\rme -all

    These packages provide device support for your RME.  I prefer doing the manual DOS commands as this will show some more information as to what is happening during the install.

    DB:2.49:How To Update G31m3-Fs Bios? pa

    Greetings,

    I have just bought a MSI Mainboard. The box stated it is a G31M3-FS and the FSB is 1333MHz. The User Guide stated it is a G31M3 Series MS-7528 (v1.X) Mainboard.

    I cant find G31M3-FS on MSI website but managed to find G31M3-F at http://asia.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetailtype=biosmaincat_no=1prod_no=1470

    I have the following Qns:

    1) What is the difference between G31M3-FS and G31M3-F?

    2) If G31M3-FS and G31M3-F are using the same BIOS, does it mean I could use the BIOS from http://asia.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetailtype=biosmaincat_no=1prod_no=1470

    3) I have also bought a new Seagate 500GB HD. How do I update to the latest AMI BIOS v1.2? Do I need to install an OS like Windows XP first before I can update the BIOS? Or could I update the BIOS without installing any OS? Appreciate a detailed step-by-step instructions on how to update the BIOS with and without OS.

    TIA for enlightening me.

    DB:2.49:How To Update G31m3-Fs Bios? pa

    Scenario:
    Slot 1: 2GB CL5
    Slot 2: 4GB CL6

    Considering that the 2 slots have different capacity RAM, would the above scenario work in dual channel mode?

    And would the above scenario work in dual channel mode if one RAM is using CL5 and the other is using CL6?

    Does the system automatically work in dual channel mode or has to be enabled in the G31M3-FS BIOS?

    Does the G31M3-FS BIOS an option to overvolt the memory modules?

    For older MSI mainboards that use the slower DDR-400 RAM modules, there are currently CL2.5 and CL3 modules available in the market, which one is the standard timing?

    You can use Vector3.Scale to multiply two vectors, component by component, e.g.

    var v1 : Vector3 = Vector3( 1, 2, 3 );
    var v2 : Vector3 = Vector3( 4, 5, 6 );
    var vScaled : Vector3 = Vector3.Scale( v1, v2 ); // = ( 4, 10, 18 )

    DB:2.49:What Happens When You Multiply Two Vectors? zm

    Further detail since this has come to the top. There are two generally accepted ways to multiply Vector3. As the * would be ambiguous as to which call is being made Unity has implemented neither as default. You can still call static methods on Vector3 to use either.

    One is called the dot product. It returns a scalar with a magnitude equivalent to the area of the parallagram between the two vectors. In practical terms the dot product of normalised vectors is equal to the cosine of the angle between them. This can produce really quick angle checks on normalised vectors.

    The other is called the cross product. It returns a vector perpendicular to both vectors. Useful for obvious reasons. Particularly when working with planes and surfaces.

    The ones I have are Pentium D 830 and 805, and a Celeron D 346. The PD805 is currently in use.

    I was thinking of trying to use the PD830 by under-clocking it since the Pentium D 820 is supported.

    DB:2.48:Ea6500 V1 Firmware Update Mobile Devices With 5ghz j8

    Hi,msengakis, the probable reason for that would be that your phones do not support the 5Ghz network as they don't have the capability for it. To properly isolate things, try to change the channel settings on the 5Ghz network. It may also be best to personalize the name of your network just to have something new for the devices to detect and connect to.

    DB:2.47:Vodafone Sure Signal V1 And V2 Not Connecting dj

    Hi Trevor,

    Thanks for the information, your IP address is on our whitelist and there’s no problem with your traceroute. Despite the timeout at hop 3, it still reaches our servers.

    I’ve checked both your serial numbers. The version 1 unit last connected to our servers on 61 August at 13:19 and the version 2 unit connected yesterday at 23:22, are either of them now working for you?

    I noticed that the version 2 Sure Signal had registered a location change. This can be caused by updates to your router or changes made by your ISP. I’ve changed the postcode to a different one and then back to the original to remove this message.

    To make sure both your Sure Signals are as up to date as possible, I’ve just resynced them. To make sure the resync completes, can you perform a factory reset:-

    Hold down the reset button until all the lights show/flash (about 30 seconds)
    Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead
    Once all the lights display, release the reset button
    The Sure Signal will come online in about an hour

    Let me know how you go on.

    Thanks

    Andrew

    v2 = 1.0
    v3 = v1 * v2 'v3 gets set to 0.9998 (correct)
    v4 = v3 - v1 'v4 gets set to 0.0

    The second does not work correctly. The results are again shown in the comments.

    Project 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    v4 = v3 - v1 'v4 gets set to 0.00000002641677809833709

    It should have been:Dim v1 as Double, v2 as Doube, v3 as Double, v4 as DoubleOr better yet:
    Dim v1 As DoubleDimv2 As DoubleDim v3 As DoubleDimv4 As DoubleI don't know VB.Net 2008 but in VB 6, your declaration made v1, v2, v3 into Variants, not Doubles. Visual basic has lots of confusing options. My guess is that Project2 has different options set to Project1 which is causing your declaration to behave differently. I am guessing without knowing that you are seeing a problem converting between a decimal number type and a binary number type.Oh, and you want a VB.Net forum

    DB:2.45:Supersedence And App Updates In Task Sequences fm

    DB:2.45:Supersedence And App Updates In Task Sequences fm

    1. Yes. Or you create a new collection with App 2 deployment then add all the clients members of App 1. 2. You remove the app1 from TS then Add App 2

(booting using a XP CD) then it hang when im asked to creaate partition or to repair the windows. After that incident, whenever i start the PC, it wont even show any graphic. i someimes have 1 beep, sometimes 2... i have checked all connection and they work properly. i have connected to a seagate 500gb SATA harddisk and a SATA DVD writer.

    any help is greatly appreciated.

    cheers,
    Scott

    DB:2.45:G31m3 V2 Wont Boot fd

    If you are installing xp, check if u r using raid or ide mode in the bios and also load optimal settings in bios and restart. If you hear beeps while booting may be your RAM sticks are not properly seated. Check that too!

    Hello All,

    How can I do it to have something like this:

    I have two tables.

    Table 1:

    Id1,

    V1.

    Table 2;

    Id1,

    V2.

    I want a expresion that for the second table return me the rows in Table 2 where V2 is in the set of availables V1.

    (V1 and V2 are same typo of data but I don't want a relation).

    Something like this:

    = If ( V2 IN (V1), Id1);

    DB:2.45:A Question About Proc Mixed kd

    Hi all,

    I have a question regarding PROC MIXED.

    I am setting up a linear mixed model as follow:

    PROC MIXED data=work.sample covtest;

    class v1 v2;

    model dv = / solution;

    random intercept / subject=v1 solution v vcorr;

    random intercept / subject=v2 solution v vcorr;

    run;

    v1 and v2 are categorical variables, each having more than 100 categories.

    Question 1:

    I assume that I have set v1 and v2 to be uncorrelated. Am I right?

    Question 2:

    The analysis takes me a day to complete. Is there anyway to make the syntax more efficient so that it will run faster?

    Question 3:

    How can I obtain the correlation between v1 and v2? Which covariance structure should I choose? (I am only interested in (1) whether v1 and v2 are correlated, and (2) the magnitude of correlation between v1 and v2.

    Thank you very much for your help!

    DB:2.45:Ps121 V1 And V2 Inquiry zx

    I need some clarifications between these two versions.

    1. The datasheet says v1 have a printer connection USB 1.1 and v2 have a printer connection USB 2.0. Correct? This is the only difference, everything else is the same.

    2. Does the v1 device says PS121 v1 or nothing underneath the device? I saw a picture that has no version shown underneath? So, can I presume this is v1? As for v2, I do see it being labeled underneath.

    3. I have Epson Stylus Photo RX700 and it is listed in v1 compatibility list, but not in v2? Why? The RX700 has USB 2.0 connection - why connect with 1.1, this will slow down the transfer speed.

    4. Do you think this printer will be compatible with v2?

    Hello,
    Ive trouble with my IBM C170 CRT monitor on pc with motherboard MSI G31M3 V2 (MS-7529), it blinks on bios and boot time, but on windows blink disapeared after setting 100hz on adapter/monitor settings. BUT now it displays blurry texts in some rows in screen, f.e. if some time ago top text rows in any screen (browser, desktop icons etc) was blurry, now middle of screen becomes blurry, and after some time this will move to bottom. After some googling found that some motherboards have troubles with blurry on bios level, so may be this is also related with bios. But before upgrade the bios want to be sure, is any body had such trouble before? Can anybody confirm?

    Btw, monitor blink on windows even on 85hz, but not on other PCs.

    I bought this board new about a month ago and finally got around to building the PC last week. It worked fine (apart from running very slow with 4GB of ram), but I went back to it today and it wont boot.

    It doesnt post, all it does when you press the power button is spin the fans for 2 secs and then switch off. Then after about 2 secs, it does the same again.

    Ive disconnected everything from the board, its only got a monitor and 1 ram stick (in DIMM 1) connectted now and it refuses to boot.

    Ive tried clearing the CMOS - no effect. tried it with no RAM - same effect. Tried different RAM, same effect. Reseated CPU, no effect. Tested without the CPU at all and the fans just run and run, they dont stop, obviously doesnt boot.

    Anyone seen this sort of problem before. Ive built quite a lot of PCs, but Ive never had a problem like this. One moment it boots, next it doesnt.

    CPU: Celeron D (336 IIRC)
    Mobo: G31M3 (MS-7528 v1)
    RAM: OCZ 2VU8004GK (2x2GB Kit)

    Hard Drive: None connected
    PSU: Antec 450w (Have tried another PSU as well and get the same effect).

    DB:2.45:Strange Results From Convert.Toint32(Double) zj

    If you add the numbers 0.0, 0.1, 0.2 0.3, ... 9.9 you get 495
    If you round using primary school methods (x.5 =x1)before adding the numbers you get 500
    If you use the round-to-even method (bankers rounding) you get 495. It's called bankers rounding because the money that goes in (495) is equal to the money that comes out (495), nobody gets cheated.
    Another way to look at it is that x.1, x.2, x.3 and x.4 get rounded down which is exactly balanced by x.6, x.7, x.8 and x.9 getting rounded up but x.5 is left over. To make it fair - round x.5 down half the time and up half the time.

    Currently all users in a Messenger system need to connect to the same

    Messenger agent. If you have users connecting to different Messaging

    Agents, they will be unable to communicate with users on the other

    agent. You can have Messenger v1x users connect to the 2.0 agent,

    however.

    Having multiple agents in a system is the primary feature scheduled to

    be addressed in the next release of Messenger.

    Hi,So you want to assign numbers (1, 2, 3, ...) in order of pk, without skipping any numbers, and duplicating the assigned numbers when the value of pk is duplicated.That sounds like a job for the DENSE_RANK function:
    CREATE TABLE afterASSELECT line, way , pk AS km, DENSE_RANK () OVER ( PARTITION BY line , way ORDER BY pk ) AS rnk -- RANK is not a good column nameFROM before
    ;

    Thanks for posting the CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements; that's very helpful!

    Markster -

    You are right in that, it depends on what you use the player for. I use mine strictly for music. Others, I know, use it for videos, pictures, and in the case of Rockbox, games, etc. Most of those using Rockbox swear by it. I bow to your obviously greater knowledge on the subjectand thank you for correcting what I said about the charging. I have no first-handexperience withRockbox; never tried it. Thought about it, several times in fact, and read all I could on different forums (this one, Anythingbutipod, Lodist) and of course the Rockbox site/forum itself. My comments were summations of what I had read that convinced me that Rockbox wouldn't give me any additional benefits or greater perfomance, based on how I used my player.

    Your mileage of course, as they say, may vary.

    DB:2.43:Unable To Edit The Cells Of Tables After Dinamically Adding The Rows ax

    The problem here is that you are using the same column for multiple different kinds of Objects. JTable expects that all Objects in a column are of the same Class the since the default CellRenderer is based on JLabel the default column class is String (I believe).

    One way to fix this problem is to convert the Object to a string before displaying them. This would be done in your getValueAt() method...

    return ((Vector)data.elementAt(row)).elementAt(col).toString();

    I believe that you can also designate the column class (in getColumnClass() of your TableModel) as Object and build a custom cell editor to translate for you but in the end this would probably be the same as the solution above only with more work and obfuscation.

    new, correct answer:

    Vector3 v1 = t1.position;
    Vector3 v2 = t2.position;
    Vector3 vector = new Vector3(v1.x - v2.x, v1.y - v2.y, v1.z - v2.z);
    result = (float)System.Math.Sqrt(vector.x vector.x + vector.y vector.y + vector.z * vector.z);

    after all that was wrote here i made a simple test for calculation speed. here is results for 10M calculations:

    Vector3.Dot | time taken (ms):2579.1475
    InverseTransformPoint(...).z | time taken (ms):2239.1281
    Vector3.Dot with RotatedForward | time taken (ms):2192.1254 (my optimization of Vector3.Dot)
    (v1-v2).magnitude | time taken (ms):1461.0836
    Vector3.Distance | time taken (ms):1393.0797
    custom(above) | time taken (ms):1313.0751

    i don't understand why sqrt is so fast... may be somebody want to repeat this test? below the script i used for test, all you need is attach it to camera in empty scene and run.

    DB:2.42:Inversetransformpoint Vs Vector3.Distance Which Is Cheaper? 7s

    I suppose that the fastest alternative is none of above:

    distance = (target.position - myTransform.position).magnitude;

    Unity does a vector subtraction and calculates the magnitude of the result, which requires 3 subtractions, 3 multiplications, 2 additions and a square root. Vector3.Distance does about the same thing, but is a little slower, according to some users that tested it. The other alternative, InverseTransformPoint(...).z, doesn't give the same result: it measures the distance strictly in the forward direction - if the target is at 45 degrees, for instance, the value returned will be 0.707 times the actual distance. This operation also requires a 4x4 matrix multiplication, which means lots of multiplications and additions - probably taking way more time than a single square root in any machine.
    CONCLUSION: If you want to measure the distance of something strictly in the object's forward direction, use InverseTransformPoint(...).z. If you want the actual distance calculated in the fastest way, use the (pointA - pointB).magnitude alternative (also recommended when you need to calculate the direction vector pointB-pointA or pointA-pointB for other purposes too). If you prefer to write a more self documented code, use Vector3.Distance(pointA, pointB).

    EDITED: @Scroodge won the prize: the dot product method is the best one to find distance in the forward direction, with 3 subtractions, 3 multiplications, 2 additions and NO square root. By the way, I missed the already have an object looking at something part of the question.

    Hiiii Cisco Technical team,

    i have some questions about Catalyst switch:

    1- is catalyst 2950-48 port (WS-C2950T-48-SI series )support Port security SNMP V1, V2 traffics, and what's the command for that on CLI screen?

    2- is Catalyst 2950-24 port (C2950G-24-EI) support port security and SNMP V1, V2 traffics?

    3- is Catalyst 3750-24T support Port security and SNMP traffics??

    Appreciate your help on my above concerns.

    thank you

    DB:2.42:What Happens When You Multiply Two Vectors? dp

    You can use Vector3.Scale to multiply two vectors, component by component, e.g.

    var v1 : Vector3 = Vector3( 1, 2, 3 );
    var v2 : Vector3 = Vector3( 4, 5, 6 );
    var vScaled : Vector3 = Vector3.Scale( v1, v2 ); // = ( 4, 10, 18 )

    DB:2.42:What Happens When You Multiply Two Vectors? dp

    Hi! I have this data load in the app

    id field1 field2

    1 v1 data1

    1 v2 data2

    1 v1 data1

    1 v2 data2

    I need, in set analysis, when field2 is value "data2" EXCLUDE the registers for id = 1

    Thamks a lot! And sorry for my english!!!

    DB:2.42:Set Analisys Filter Records sa

    Not sure what you're trying to show. But try only({id-={1},field2={'data2'}}field2) as expression.

    btw, the expression editor doesn't recognize -= as valid syntax and will show a red underlining indicating an error, but it is actually correct.

    DB:2.42:Inversetransformpoint Vs Vector3.Distance Which Is Cheaper? s7

    new, correct answer:

    Vector3 v1 = t1.position;
    Vector3 v2 = t2.position;
    Vector3 vector = new Vector3(v1.x - v2.x, v1.y - v2.y, v1.z - v2.z);
    result = (float)System.Math.Sqrt(vector.x vector.x + vector.y vector.y + vector.z * vector.z);

    after all that was wrote here i made a simple test for calculation speed. here is results for 10M calculations:

    Vector3.Dot | time taken (ms):2579.1475
    InverseTransformPoint(...).z | time taken (ms):2239.1281
    Vector3.Dot with RotatedForward | time taken (ms):2192.1254 (my optimization of Vector3.Dot)
    (v1-v2).magnitude | time taken (ms):1461.0836
    Vector3.Distance | time taken (ms):1393.0797
    custom(above) | time taken (ms):1313.0751

    i don't understand why sqrt is so fast... may be somebody want to repeat this test? below the script i used for test, all you need is attach it to camera in empty scene and run.

    DB:2.42:Inversetransformpoint Vs Vector3.Distance Which Is Cheaper? s7

    I suppose that the fastest alternative is none of above:

    distance = (target.position - myTransform.position).magnitude;

    I am monitoring a Router ASR1000 with a software called Zenoss, which works with SNMP Agent. In Zenoss I am using The

    1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.1.1.1.4 OID (entSensorValue) to get the values of many sensors in the device (ASR1000). the Sensor Values, which I get in the router are:

    ASR-ROSAL-01#sh environment all

    My client is MS-DOS and running sql*net v1
    my server is Oracle E7.1.6 under Sco unix OpenServer 5.0.2 and running sql*net v1 and v2.
    How can I upgrage my server to Oracle 7.3.x or 8.x.
    Are there a patch to sql*net v1?
    so I can use version 1 access version 2.
    How can I get the patch?
    Thanks.

    DB:2.42:Access Database From Sql*Net V1 To Sql*Net V2 Or Net8 mf

    Depending on how large is your database you can use either exp/imp utility to migrate the data after installing the Oracle8i on your O/S or Inplace db upgrade. Otherwise backup your current Oracle7.x release and install the Oracle8i Software only without the database. Open old database using the Oracle8i svrlmgrl utility. Upgrade using the upgrade scripts available in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms directory. Also read the documentation for any additional information on issues on the upgrades.

    I am not sure about the SQL Net versions, but SQL Net Version 2 should work against net8 listener. You could try v1 too.

    Hope this helps

    DB:2.41:Successor Function kf

    Hi.

    I want to do what seems to be something simple. Variable v2 should make an enumeration change when v1 changes. v1 need to come out in the unsorted way it is. How do I do this?

    v1 v2

    a 1

    a 1

    a 1

    c 2

    c 2

    b 3

    DB:2.41:Successor Function kf

    You could try something like this:

    data new;

    set old;

    retain last_v1;

    if last_v1 ne v1 then v2 +1;

    last_v1 = v1;

    run;

    On the first row last_v1 will not be assigned so v2 is set to 1.

    On row 4, where there is a change v1 will not equal last_v1 so 1 is added to v2.

    Hi,
    I executed the following code snippet:
    DECLARE @v1 decimal(7, 1) SET @v1=123456.16 SELECT @v1 DECLARE @v2 float(24) SET @v2=123456.16 SELECT @v2

    The result for both SELECT statements was 123456.2. So What is the difference between these two DataTypes in approximation?MJ_Developer.

    DB:2.41:Differences Between Decimal And Float Data Types 7k

    You will see best the differences when the two data types are used in arithmetic operations. The following article by Hugo showsgood examples:
