DB:3.48:Not All Iphotos Copy To External Harddrive zk

In Finder, I am trying to merely copy my iPhoto Library to a new external HD. Only half of the GB are copied. I get a message that says "The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in iPhoto Library could not be read or written (error code -36). When I look at my permission on the iPhoto Library (ctrl-I), it says that I have permissions to read and write. How do I overcome this??
    Thanks for your help

DB:3.48:Not All Iphotos Copy To External Harddrive zk

    Bob:

Do you have your external HD setup to ignore ownership? If not, do so and try again. That may help.

BatChmod should not take very long to run. When it's done you'll get a window asking for a donation and the Quit button. (It will crash frequently when closing but that's not a problem).

Try selecting the library package and bring up the Info window (type Control-i). In the Sharing and Permissions section set the privileged to Read and Write for both the owner and group and read only for Others. Then click on the Apply to all... button. See if that will clear it up.

Lastly, there's another application for setting privileges. It does the same as BatCHmod except for unlocking files. It's iRepair. You might give it a try with these settings. You can set Others to read only if so desired.

    Happy Holidays

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

I was in the process of deleting unopenable files from an external harddrive, to clean it up to have it reformatted for my Macbook Pro (it had previously been used with a PC). I deleted or saved everything needed except for pictures. I had previously uploaded pictures from this ehd onto my Mac, but was going to go through the folders to make sure they were all there before deleting them from the ehd. When I wen't to open iphotos, it will no longer open. The white wheel in the center of the screen just keeps spinning. What happened? I was not deleting anything from my mac, just the ehd, but iphotos is now acting as if I deleted something crucial to let me open it. I do not notice anything else acting up on my Mac.HELP!!!!

    DB:3.20:Iphotos Won't Open 1d

Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If you can open and use a new library the problem lies with your existing library. If that's the case try this: make a temporary, backup copy (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:Fix #1Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.Select the options identified in the screenshot. Fix #2Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto LibraryDownload iPhoto Library Manager and launch.Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder. Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu optionIn the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.Click on the Create button.Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

The first time you use iTunes with the hard drive you will need to start with the option key held down, then guide it to the library on the external. You will also need to do this should you in future forget to connect the hard drive before starting iTunes as it will automatically revert to thinking it is on the internal drive.

However, there is a program called iPhoto Library Manager which may work well for what you want to do:http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/I've never used it and you may want to do some research on it, but I see it is available in trial mode before commiting to purchase.

If you have access to another Mac, connect the two together with a firewire cable (hopefully you have a FW port). And plug your external drive into the other Mac as well (not sure if you could just leave it plugged into the Macbook).

Now power up your macbook (the other computer should already be running) and hold down the "T" until you see a floating FW symbol. Your Macbook should show up on the desktop of the other Mac. You should be able to drag your Home folder or whatever files you need to the external drive.

Will it cause a problem to just plug in the 2 HD to the new iMac? I would use one external HD for the TimeMachine backup via firewire. I would then transfer all the iTunes and iPhoto to the internal. Maybe I might use the 2nd external HD for a 3rd copy of my iPhotos. So I tried migrating everything to a new Macbook Pro, all in all it was successful, but when I tried to start iPhotos up, the iPhoto Library got corrupt during the Library Upgrade process. I then copied my original iPhoto Library file (90GB) to an ext. harddrive to try again, but when I tried to copy that (original) file on to the Macbook Pro, the computer kept telling me that there is not enough free space. This dont seem right to me, given that I have 175GB free space available out of 256GB. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is it because of the large file size? Is there a way to copy this file on to the machine? I've never ran into a size limit for files before, but then again, I cant remember the last time I tried to copy a 90GB file.Any people would be greatly appriciated!

DB:2.84:Cant Copy Over Iphoto Library To New Macbook Pro (Retina 15") 7k

Yeah thats all fine, and everything is backed up. but I dont want to link the library to an ext drive.I actually got it working in a really convoluted way:I opened the iPhoto Library Package and copied the MODIFIED and ORIGINALS folders (these were the largest sized folders) over seperately from the rest of the Library. There seems to be some sort of size limit to Mountian Lion that wont let you copy files that are larger then 24GB in size (maybe an SSD thing?). So I copied over everything to the desktop, and then put all the folders back in the package. That worked like a charm!*I wouldnt recommend this method to a novice. Its imperative that everything goes back in the right place, or you can destroy your Library.I guess if I didnt do it this way, I could have also tried CCC, or time machine, which I believe circumvent this size restriction.

Totally confused on how I can copy my backups to the new drive?

    Any ideas?

DB:2.84:Copying Backups To A New Harddrive dz

Try the Disk Utility route and then delete the extra stuff that has been copied.

Turns out that Get Info in the Finder does double count hard links, so the large size in the Finder is OK, du does not and that gave you a reasonable size.

Time Machine plays some tricks with ACLs which is what is tripping up ditto, the Finder understands this and copies everything OK - except in your case

Make sure you have the same case sensitivity and journaling states on the two drives.

    Hello.

    First of all, an overview:
Macbook Pro 13. HDD: 650 GB. Latest Snow Leopard. Mac experience: Some.

I'm trying to make a copy of my computer using Time Machine. I've been doing this before when I had my standard HDD, and it worked excellent. Since I bought a new HDD, I thought that I should make a new Time Machine copy. I've installed Windows 7 using Boot Camp, which got about 100 GB of the Harddrive. OSX got 550 GB (489 GB used). My external harddrive's space is just 500 GB.

When I tried to make a copy, it says that the external harddrive got too little space remaining, which is true if Time Machine also copy my Windows 7. (Another partition).

My question is, if I buy a new external HDD which got more than 650 GB space, will I be able to make a Time Machine copy of both my OSX and W7, and if my computer crashes in the future, will I just be able to plug the external harddrive in, and install the copy and it all looks like now? I know that OSX will, but will W7 also do it?

If the answer is not, how can I make that the Time Machine don't choose to copy the Windows partition? I can't do as I normal do.. Because you can't click on the partition and omit it. (please answer this question even if the answer is yes.)

    Summary:
If I use Time Machine, will it also copy Windows 7 exaclly as it is right now? How can I uncheck to copy the windows partition?

    Thanks in advance.

    Machiavel:

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. To quickly see if all of your image files are in the Originals folder you should do the following:

1 - launch iPhoto with the Option key depressed and, when asked, create a new library.
2 - drag the "Originals" folder from your current library into iPhoto's open window to import.

The resulting new library will contain all of the files inside the Originals folder. You can check it out to see if all of your files are there. If so, you can use that library.
    Do you Twango?

I recently bought an external harddrive to store all of my music on instead of my internal harddrive on my iBook G4. I changed the iTunes Music folder location onto the ext. harddrive so that all new music would be transfered over to the ext. harddrive automatically.

However, I frequently disconnect my ext. harddrive because I have a laptop. I often times open up iTunes to search the iTunes Store when the external harddrive is not connected.

*I have noticed that whenever I open up iTunes when my external harddrive is not connected, the iTunes Music folder location gets changed to the default location (on my internal harddrive).*

    Hi

I have a 250GB external harddrive and used the carbon copy cloner program a few months ago to copy everything onto the harddrive. The program took ages to go through the process and crashed a couple of times so I gave up on it. The only problem is that my external HD now has folders on there which I don't really want - applications (OS 9) etc - all I really want on there are back up copies of my photo/music/documents libraries. I try and drag these folders to the trash can but it won't let me - giving me the error message about not being able to because of some root.

Can anyone suggest a way I can clear out these folders from my external HD? - I want to get it so it is as clear as possible to free up space and make it easier to navigate around

Select the hard disk in the Finder and choose Get Info from the File menu. If the disk's format is listed as Windows NT Filesystem or NTFS, you will need to use the Disk Utility in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder to erase the drive before you can write anything to it.

Ok so I bought the 13 inch retina macbook pro (This is my very first mac btw, so I am still trying to get used to basic functions though it's getting there..) and I've researched it a bit but I have some issues on figuring out how I best should store my data. 1. Is Time Machine not the best way to back up data? As it will delete the oldest data once the hardrive used is full? but on the other hand, backing things up manually will take a lot of pain and effort (Choosing the new files that haven't been transferred, accidentally copying a file you actually already put in your back up disk thus taking additional unnecessary space, etc) ...right?or is there a better way to do this?2. I want to have all media (music, photos, videos, anything except apps) on an external hard drive but I don't want to have to keep transferring it from iphotos or anything else to my external hard drive... Is there a way to do this a smarter way? It would be best if I could put everything directly to my harddrive instead of having to import thru iphotos (thus taking up space on my internal SSD first) THEN deleting it from iphotos :/ As of now I am trying do configure this network storage system (called SeaGate GoFlex Home if anyone is interested) but I am wondering if this is really a reliable way to keep my stuff... I plan on putting music, photos and videos on there..along with word documentsIs there a way to configure the mac to automatically download stuff to my external network drive instead of saving it on my SSD? Thanks in advance for any help /opinions

    Do you Twango?

It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

short story/question:my itunes library with all my music (1000+ songs, and iphotos) is on one of those external harddrive firelite things. how do i set up my macbook to search for the itunes library on my external harddrive, rather defaulting to an itunes library mistakenly loaded on my computer?long story: (bare with me, because i'm in a panic stress mode without my music)-my kids both have macbooks. my daugther made a video that was on a flashdrive. she couldn't get the flashdrive to open the video on her macbook. unbeknownst (?word) to me, she inserted her flashdrive into my macbook. my external harddrive, with all my music on it was NOT hooked into my macbook at the time. when she inserted the the flashdrive, the macbook said something like "can't find itunes, would you like to choose an itunes folder?" i still didn't realize she was using my macbook, so i clicked on "choose a folder". now i get a little confused, but two folders came up, the first was labled "itunes", i believe that was an old folder we (apple geniuses) had labled as the orginial music in my library for my external harddrive. there was also a second folder i remember creating labled, itunes1 (or something), which i believe was an updated copy of the most recent music on my external harddrive. i had to give the folder a different name otherwise it wouldn't accept the music again. i thought i deleted the original folder though, after i made a copy of the most recent music. i'm digressing though, sorry.anyway, i chose the first itunes folder, and her flashdrive video didn't open, so i clicked on the second folder. her video opened up. she was happy. she removed the flashdrive (the wrong way, by just pulling it out. then inserted it again, and removed it correctly.as she went to shut down the computer, i realized she was using MINE rather than hers or her brother's. i flipped, because know i realized i somehow download some form of origin itunes setup directly onto my macbook.i inserted my external harddrive with my music, and needless to say, it couldn't find my music. i double clicked on the external harddrive to try to find or open the music... nothing. i find it hard to believe that i lost my music off my external harddrive, considering it was never connected in the first place.other issue- i recently downloaded some music (from a grateful dead website) not off itunes (which i rarely if ever do). when i clicked on "a button" in itunes, it seemed to download just that music into, i believe the itunes on my macbook. (that music was also in my external harddrive).bottom line:how do i get my macbook to search for my intues folder/music that was on my external harddrive, rather than on the macbook itself? i think the macbook needs to know to search the external hardrive, rather than the macbook itself.i have an appointment with the apple genius bar on saturday, but if someone thinks there's a simple solution that i can do (that will ALWAYS work to have my computer search my external harddrive, rather than the itunes folder on the macbook itselft). i'm willing to try.my biggest fear... losing, or having lost ALL of my music and photos from the external harddrive.btw: i hopefully have most of that music backed up to a SECOND external harddrive. which i bought just in case the first one crashed.help. please. and thanks for listening.not sure which macosx i have. i think it's 10.6.8, but it may be 10.6.7. i'm typing from work now.thanks, anthony

    all my iphotos are gone?

DB:2.72:How To Get Iphotos Back mk

Try these in order - from best option on down...1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file. 2. Download a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"buiPhoto Library Manager/b/u/a and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. 3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library. To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library: Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.Move the iPhoto Library to the desktopLaunch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library. When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop. In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

I don't know what is causing the problem but what I would try is to export them in smaller groups (i.e.,select multiple events and export them, then select other events, etc) to see if that works and if not it may narrow down the problem.

If the external disk will simply be used for data and not as a bootable backup you could format the disk on the Mac using the MS-DOS format. This would allow the data to be moved between all three computers.

If the external disk will be used as a bootable backup you will need to format the disk for the appropriate computer.

I intend to return my iMac to factory settings in the hope that it might work at full speed again (currently getting alerts saying there is no memory left to run apps even though there is 100GB free on the hard drive). My iPhotos are divided between the internal drive and an external drive which currently works with Time Machine. However I am unlikely to use TM in future if, as I understand, it only works by backing up the entire system rather than just selected files.I would like to keep my photos organised by date so should I copy the entire iPhoto folder, including all the .data, etc files, onto the external drive?

DB:2.69:How Best To Back Up My Iphotos Before Erasing Internal Drive? s3

Not at allYes you can create two (or more) volumes on an external driveNo you can not have Time Machine backup up the OS to one volume and files to the otherDynamic files - files that are dynamic - they change - the are not staticBootable clone - a clone that can be booted - if your ard drive fails you can simply boot up the bootable clone and everything is exactly as it was when it was madeBack to your original questionThe best way to backup your photos before erasing your hard drive is to make a copy of the iPhoto library on a volume that does not also contain the time machine backup as to using Time Machin see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427?viewlocale=en_USlocale=en_US - and note that the volume that you use for your time Machine backup should have no other files on it and should be at least 1 1/2 times the size of your main drive and 2 1/2 times as large is betterLN

DB:2.68:Itunes Files On External Harddrive --- Problems!!!! px

    Ok.

I transferred my itunes folder to an external harddrive and deleted my itunes folder from my computer harddrive.

I redirected the itunes folder path in itunes preferences to my external harddrive.

This, however, did not automatically bring the files from my external harddrive over, so I deleted all of the files in the itunes window and then dragged the folder from the harddrive over.

This seemed to work and my computer harddrive showed that it had 35gb in free space that was formerly taken up by the music.

    BUT NOW I HAVE PROBLEMS

-- I no longer have the free space on my computer harddrive that was left after deleting the music. There's no way that without the music on my computer, my harddrive would be full.

-- I've run both disk utilities and disk warrior to no avail

-- I've searched for MP3s on my computer with the external harddrive off and nothing shows up

-- Suddenly, my ITUNES window is empty -- no songs, none of my playlists...

-- I checked the itunes preferences and it is still directed towards my external harddrive

    POSSIBILITIES?

--once, when I was downloading bittorrents and forgot to connect my external harddrive, the computer made a sublisting for it on my comp. harddrive under
    /volumes/external harddrive name
so, everything I saved via bittorrent was actually somewhere on my computer harddrive under this weird listing

-- when I search with my external harddrive connected over spotlight (it doesn't work in the finder window search) I find an itunes folder under /volumes/(my harddrive name)

-- when I unplug my external harddrive, however, this no longer shows up

    SO
    My questions are:

If I moved 35 gigs of music to my external harddrive, why is my computer harddrive no longer showing that the space is free?

Could it have formed a folder somewhere on my computer harddrive that isn't showing up?

    Hi,
I had my music folder on an external harddrive and wanedt to move it to a NFS share of another linux computer. I choosed the new music folder in iTunes and started "Consolidate library...". After "preparing copy..." it says "There is not enough room on "new folder" to copy all of the requested files". The old partition on the external harddrive has a capacity of 600GB with 593GB used and the new NFS share has a capacity and free space of 668GB.

DB:2.68:Not Enough Free Space By Cosolidating Library ps

    LadyLawyer,

Here is a link that lists the proper steps to take when copying your music:

    http://tinyurl.com/a3dke

It sounds like you might have taken the fully manual route which causes iTunes to lose the link path to your files and with them all of your ratings, playlists, etc. If you put the files back where they were and revert iTunes' library location, you probably can still go back and move them through iTunes like Tobe was talking about using the consolidate method.

Unfortunately, it sounds like for whatever reason, some of us here are getting an error when trying to use the consolidate method, but hopefully it will work for you...

    Good Luck!

Hi all,I am trying to upgrade from the original Toshiba 40GB IDE harddrive to a new samsung 160gb IDE harddrive (HM160HC). The drive is marketed as being compatible with the Thinkpad line. I took an image of my original harddrive using WinPE, then popped in the new harddrive hoping I could just copy the old image over. I didn't realize that the laptop did not detect the harddrive, so when i did a fresh partition and format of "drive 0" it actually wiped out my external harddrive which contained the old image and all my backups (oops). Anywho, that's not a big deal because I was able to recover all the files using GetDataBack, but I still can't figure out why the BIOS is not seeing the new harddrive. Here is what I have tried so far:1) I removed the new harddrive from the laptop and hooked it up to a USB enclosue. I then plugged that into another laptop running XP and was able to use the XP disk management tool to partition and NTFS format the drive just fine. I created some test files and folders on it and everything works fine so I know the drive is good.2) I put the new harddrive back into the laptop hoping it might get recognized after having been formatted and partitioned, but no luck.3) I put the old harddrive back into the laptop just to make sure the BIOS still recognized that one, and it did. So I know the laptop is still fine.4) I upgraded the BIOS from 3.14 to 3.23 just to make sure it wasn't some old BIOS limitation on hardrive size. The BIOS upgraded successfully, but still no luck detecting the harddrive.5) I set the new harddrive jumpers to cable-select instead of master. Still no luck.So as far as I can tell I have no problems with the laptop (since it works fine with the old harddrive), and no problems with the new harddrive (since it works fine externally), but I just can't get the BIOS to recognize it internally so that I can copy the image over and boot from it. Any ideas? Thanks,Rodrick

I'm not sure what type of file it is or if this will help, but you might try compressing the file to reduce its size (the reduction might be tiny or it may be significant). Perhaps the smaller-sized compressed file will transfer (we don't really know where
the cutoff point is if there is such a thing). If compression makes a reasonable difference, it's worth a try. I'd first copy the file and compress the copy. If it does transfer, unzip it to make sure it does so without problems and then verify that the
    file functions as it should.
I'm not familiar with ext3 or Ext2Mgr. Is there any possibility that the issue is withtheir ability to transfer files of that size rather than Vista's ability to receive them?
Please keep me informed. Even if compression doesn't really resolve the problem, it may serve as a workaround until we can find the underlying cause. I suspect it has something to do with using two different operating systems but I don't know why or how
or what to do to verify and'/or resolve that.

It sounds like you selected your internal HD and told TM to restore it? If so, from a Finder window's menubar, select +Go Go to Folder+ and type /Volumes in the prompt. That should show an alias for every drive/partition on or connected to your Mac.

If there's an actual folder, that's where Time Machine put your stuff. Delete it.

As Thomas says, you need a Snow Leopard disc to do a full system restore. If your Mac came with Snow Leopard, follow his advice to get replacements. If it didn't, or if you're near an Apple store, buy a retail version for $29.

You might be able to use Migration Assistant, but you'll end up with at least one extra user account, and likely lose permission to see or restore from your backups.

Ran the Diags without error but there is no mention of a harddrive or a test for a harddrive in the test tree. The Bios is up to date. Is there anything else I might try or look for? Thanks for the help, Astral

I have all my iTunes music and iPhoto pictures on an external harddrive. I have another external Harddrive that I use for Time machine. I want Time Machine to Back up the external harddrive. When I open Time Machine preferences, the list of "Do not backup" contains my external harddrive and when I try to select it and hit the "-" sign it is grayed out. What gives? How can I use time Machine to back up my music and photos? I cant keep all that info on my internal harddrive. Surely Apple must have thought of this. Help!

assuming that you want to keep your existing library - Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhotoAnd backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external driveLN

Everything is OK until I unplug the external HD from my desktop and connect it to my laptop in order to transfer data. The data in iPhotos, iTunes, address book,Checkbook, etc. does not appear in the boot disk copy. What's happening? Would appreciate any input. Thanks in advance.

DB:2.64:How Do You Export Iphoto Albums To An External Drive And Have All The Albums Still Labeled? 18

I am having an issue exporting the iphoto albums to an external drive. When I do it, it either just drops all the pictures in together or it separates them by events, but my iphotos are arranged in albums, not events so that doesn't help. Can anyone help with this? Also, I'm new to mac and i'm noticing iphotos has a lot of limitations...I can't save photos automatically to folders/albums in iphoto bc it doesnt show in the finder, I can't upload to facebook without doing it from iphoto, and I obviously can't save to external drive easily just yet. Should I just be saving all of my photos in Pictures in the finder? Is there a way you can save them in pictures and then be able to open them in iphotos? I'm getting so frustrated and ready to go back to my PC. =(

DB:2.64:Iphoto 6 And How It Should Work With Edited Images fk

While iPhoto 6 is an improvement over previous versions in the way images are handled it is still a far cry from being perfect. At last, iPhoto does not create a duplicate within its own library but allows through the advanced option tab to work through an alias to the original file, thereby preserving my library structure.

    Two problems remain:
    a) when an image is deleted outside iPhoto the corresponding alias in iPhoto is not deleted upon startup. And getting rid of the ensuing error dialogue is unnerving. Why can iPhoto not browse through the original library and update its aliases when I start the application?

    b) when an image is edited in iPhoto a modified version is created in iPhotos library. Grrr.... back to square one. I dont want all that clutter on my harddrive and while I can see that some users need to have that safety belt I would wish for an option to tell iPhoto to change the original directly (and not create a copy). I dont work exclusively with iPhoto only and dont want to think each and every time where the most recent version of a photo is stored.

So, for the time being Im back to iView Media... which is not supported through all the media browsers that access iPhotos library but still gives me all the control I need (and demand). If anybody knows a solution how to solve the above two problems, please let me know.

DB:2.64:Iphoto 6 And How It Should Work With Edited Images fk

It's actually easy to browse the iPhoto library (in UsersPictures folder) using Photoshop Elements, now that iPhoto 06 organizes pics into Original Modified folders.

    Hi,

Do you have any antivirus software installed on your computer?

    a) I would recommend you to run an online virus scan from the link given below check if the issue persists.

    Microsoft Safety Scanner

Additionally, make sure that you have the latest update for the antivirus software installed on your machine, so that it works properly.

    b) You may also download run Microsoft Security Essentials on your machine.

    Hope the information helps.
Please post back and let us know.
