    Good Morning;We are having problems with sync problems between the API and the AdCenter interface.  We have a number of keywords that via the API we have set to 'Paused' status however when logging into AdCenter it shows them as 'Active'.  Doing a simple GetKeywordsByIds concurs with the 'Paused' status.Is this a known issue?  I have contacted our account manager at Microsoft but have not heard anything yet.  If you would like specific details please contact me privately.     This is a known issue. The web ui does not show the Pause status at the keywork level at this time. What you are seeing via the API is correct.

    The answer to that question ultimately depends on which market you are interested in. If you're interested in getting estimated searches for the US/Canada market, the answer would be no because the Yahoo Sponsored Search API has been decommissioned for the
    US/Canada market.
    Over the next year, all remaining International markets will be transitioned to AdCenter as well.

    Hi,if you set all bids except exact matchtype bid to 0 then your ad will be displayed only for exact matchtype.As for landing pages, please check my answer in your other post (using Substparam1).

    We have started noticing the difference in output of Account Performance Report and Keyword performance Report when run through API. This difference is visible even on adcenter. This is clearly visible for 14-Sep, 15-Sep, 20-Sep Please investigate and let us know

    The following is my SANDBOX environment experience.I searched the forums and e-mails with announcements from MS about AdCenter, but got no clue...
    I face the following problem:
    I try to fetch a keyword performance report. In case the date range resides in dates earlier than 28 Aug 2006, I can get back the valid, but EMPTY report. For dates later than 28Aug 2006 the service answers with SOAP exceptiong (something like E_API_REPORT_NONE).
    Does anybody use sandbox environment and is reporting working fine ?
    Has anyone faced the problem that sandbox returns empty reports? I mean no data for keywords, though keywords have been published?
     
    And one more thing:
    I can add campaigns, adgroups and ads through sandbox WEB UI, but I I can't add keywords. The system tells me the following:
    Microsoft adCenter was unable to complete your request. Please ensure that your current session hasn’t expired and that any other software you’re using with adCenter is working correctly. If this doesn’t correct the problem, please contact the adCenter Support Team for assistance.
    I can add keywords through API and I can check they are really there (through API calls). If I create campaign structure using API calls I can see exactly what I expect using WEB UI of sandbox. But still... I can see no keywords in my adgroups.

    We also have an agency account called Revimpact which is link to API_Revimpact, so now we are managing Revimpact from the api. This works fine.

    We have another account called Revimpact3 and we would like to manage it through the api. So for this we should link it to API_Revimpact, right?

    For any new accounts within the same Customer shell, that user could access the campaigns via API. Agency management works differently because you need a user who has access to the client's (outside) account in the other Customer shell. You would need to
    apply for a 3rd party token and then pair that with the credentials of a Client Admin user within the agency customer shell. This can start to get complicated, and doesn't need to be. Please let me know your requirements and I'll try to get you pointed in

    Is it possible to populate dummy keyword performance data in Sandbox for testing purposes? As I convert our apps over from using the Yahoo API to adCenter, I need to receive a test report populated with data that I can parse. I did a couple searches on here

    Hi,We are using v6 and C# to interact with adCenter and I just noticed that our keyword performance report (PerformanceReportType.Keyword_Custom) comes back with the v5 namespace (xmlns=http://adcenter.microsoft.com/advertiser/reporting/v5/XMLSchema) after being requested for v6. (We are calling SubmitGenerateReport of course). Is this expected? Technically I guess it doesn't matter, but if this all of sudden changes, we might run into issues in production.     I'm just starting to use adCenter and I have several questions:
    1. Is it possible to manage multiple customers using the same API token?
    2. Can I target campaigns or adgroups only to specific location? For example, if I target my campaign to Los Angeles, CA US. I don't want it to show up for people searching the same keyword in San Francisco.
    3. Can I target campaigns or adgroups in Belgium with language Dutch?
    4. Can I undelete campaigns or adgroups?
    5. Can I update ad text, display url, or destination url?
    6. Does Target Library applied across accounts? Can I add target to the library once and use it on any account I want to manage?
    7. Does keyword limit include negative keywords or keywords in inactive campaigns or adgroups?

    While testing calls to theKeywordPerformanceReport, I ran across an account that will return an empty string for the Keyword field. How is this possible to have a keyword without text?
    I looked for the keyword in question on the UI and it exists in an adgroup that has no keywords, yet the keyword in question has spend associated with it and has a status of Active.

    Hello,I'm setting up a cron process to get Keyword Performance data for all my clients (23). Is there any way I can get all the data with a single QueueReportRequest? I read that the limit is 10 accounts per report request, so I tried splitting the account IDs among 3 report requests in the same queue request. The report I received did not have all the data. It looks like the results for just the first report in the queue. What do I have to do to get the result I want? Is there a way to specify all accounts in a single report or must I call QueueReportRequest three times?ThanksDave Rowell

    I know it is possible to get some statistics about keywords in my campaigns.
    But I would like to find global search statistics for keywords, to get for each keyword :
    1) the number of searches of in US;
    2) the average CTR;
    3) the average CPC;
    We can retrieve these data in the keyword search tool from the Admin Adcenter UI.
    But I did not find how to access them in the MSDN Bing Adcenter.
    Google AdWords gives such data via their API.
    Why Bing would not ?

    With Overture, you can set up your destination url's like: http://www.mysite.com/?trackingcode={ovmtc:standardcode:advancedcode:contentcode}
    Overture will fill the {} with whatever tracking code you specified given whatever the match type was for that impression.  This way you can track your ROI at the keyword/matchtype level.
    How do I do this with adCenter?  I don't see any way of knowing what keyword the click came from along with the match type.  As of right now I am going to stop development on the adCenter API, I don't see the point of integrating it with my ROI tracking software if I can't track it properly.
    If anyone knows how to do this let me know.  Thanks.

    Did something change? When adding keywords now I get the following error:
    You cannot set the amount of a match type bid to zero (0).
    However in the documentation (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb414827.aspx#setting_bid), it says

    You can set the bid value of a keyword to one of the following:
    0 (zero), which indicates to adCenter that you do not want to bid by using that match type.
    [etc]

    This is an expected error if your customer shell is moved to url by match type. After url by match type, you can have only one match type for each keyword id. So the request needs to have only one bid for the match type you are bidding for and leave bid
    property for other match types empty.

    Dynamic keyword insertion in ads is not very good in adCenter.  First off it needs to properly capitalize the keywords.  Right now dynamically inserted text is always lower-case.  This makes the ads look bad and lowers CTR.  Capitalization needs to work based on how you capitalize {keyword}, for example {KeyWord} would make your keyword look like My Keyword, whereas {keyword} would make it look like my keyword.

    Also, there needs to be the ability to have backup text in the case your keyword is too long for the title/description.  From what I understand if you have 1 ad with {keyword} as the title and your keyword is too long your ad doesn't show.  It should just use the backup {keyword:my backup keyword}.

    The way AdWords works is pretty good, better than adCenter, but not perfect.  Copying it wouldn't be a bad idea, especially since a lot of people are already comfortable with that system.
    Or, you could always come up with something better, that would be good too ;-)

    I’ve got a question about a new command in V4 called PauseResumeOrderItems.  When I make the request to pause a keyword, it comes back with a success. However, the ad still appears when I type the keyword into the msn.com search engine and the status of the keyword still appears as “Submitted” when I view it online in the adCenter. I know I’m adjusting the correct keyword because I can change the Max bid and I see it online, and when I run getOrderItems and check the keyword, the status is paused. Is anyone else using this new feature? If so, are you seeing the same thing I am?

    DB:2.71:Passing Null Values Using Php 4 And Nusoap zk


    I am having problems passing NULL values using PHP 4 and NuSOAP.  Basically, setting NULL values in PHP gets translated to empty string, so if I set a variable with the value of NULL, NuSOAP (the SOAP client I am using) will set the value of the field to an empty string instead.  Setting a variable with a string of NULL won't work because the MSN AdCenter API will recognize it literally as a string with the value of NULL.  PHP also has the problem of not being able to instantiate objects described by the version 5 programming guide, so I cannot pass objects along to the web services.It is possible to manipulate the resultant XML that is sent to the web services, however, I am not sure what the MSN API will accept in order to recognize a field to be NULL.  I have tried to remove attributes from the XML request document, but in the case of making the CampaignManagement UpgradeKeywords() call when I removed the Param2 attribute from the Keyword object (so that the field no longer exists on the XML request document) the MSN API would still empty the value of Param2 from the keyword anyways (see the XML example below).

    What do we do? Can we not use the campaignID, adgroupID and keywordID to uniquely identify an entity? If not, how can we handle a sync if we import adcenter data on day 1, change the campaign name in the UI on day 2, and import a new date range on day 3?

    We did a triple-check of our data and saw that we were doing something funny. You're correct, campaignID, adgroupID and keywordID appear unique to their display names. This is a bit different than Google where the adgroupID and keywordIDs are not unique.

    Hi,
    I have an issue when i deploy or uploading a keyword(a new keyword using AddKeywords method.)
    When i try to add a new keyword to AdCenter using API's. When i set bid to matching type.

    here is what it looks like

    Keyword keyword = new Keyword();
    keywords.setText( TestKeyword );
    keywords.setBroadMatchBid(new Bid(.50));
    keywords.setNegativeKeywords(null);
    its looks fine from here. it passed through without any problem. But when i check the keywords in AdCenter.microsoft.com GUI, i find three keywords TestKeyword with three matching type Phrase, Exact and Broad.
    But i have added only one keyword with matching type broad.
    Why is that soo? Can someone help me in finding out the problem.

    This happens a lot when we try to add a new keyword.. though the error is intermittent, sometimes on the 3rd try it goes thru, sometimes on the second try it is already fine.

    Could it be a bug on the side of adcenter? When the error comes out, we check the campaign and that keyword is not there.

    When running a Keyword Performance Report through the adCenter API all of the Keywords have a blank for the CurrentMaxCPC column. The adCenter UI shows that each Keyword does have a bid, but they are actually set at the Ad Group level.

    The API should behave the same as the UI. The Keyword Performance Report should use the bid specified for the Ad Group if the Keyword does not have a bid of it's own.

    Or if not that, the Ad Group Performance Report should have the search and content bids available. Then the two datasets could be joined to get the bid for a Keyword.

    Are IDs always globally unique, or only with a certain scope?
    For example, if I have keywordID 234492093478 is that unique across all of adCenter, or only within a certain Account, or?

    AccountID CampaignID AdGroupID KeywordID (also, for a given keyword text value, is there a unique KeywordID for each match type, or is there one KeywordID for the text value, regardless of the MatchType?)

    For example, in AdWords' API, Accounts, campaigns, and adgroups are always globally unique, but Keywords/Criterion are only unique when combined with AdGroups (a compound key).

    We have observed an issue in the Reporting in LIVE environment where in the data we get from the API  (Keyword Performance Report with customized option) for given account and day. is different from the data we see on the adcenter site. I am not sure if the data returned by the API is incorrect or the data displayed on adcenter site is incorrect. The difference is in the range of 2-4 %.
    Is it a known issue at Adcentre?

    Hi, I heard that one adCenter Ad can exist in different adGroups, is it true? if so, how could this happen? I tried to create two ads with exact same title/desc/etc. but I got different adIds.Because I am using AdCenter API do download objects as a parent-child relationship, if same adId can appear under different adgroups, then I must deal with it in a special way. So I hope to confirm if this will happen and in what scenario this would happen.

    i have a separate CSV-File and need to merge it with the data from adcenter.
    In the csv i have a column with an id value which is matching to a parameter in the destination url of adcenter keywords.
    So now i want to get a KeywordPerformanceReport with a filter that works like a 'WHERE destination_url LIKE %id=12345%' sql query.
    That seams currently impossible.. but is there another way or a workaround to achieve the goal?
    The result should contain the exact keyword data from adcenter - even if it has no impressions or performance data..

    Since there's no built-in function to filter out like that. You have a few options to parse and muniplate the data with other data processing tool. An easy way would be to use Microsoft Excel, and apply filters on the data, then you can apply a 'Text filter'
    on the column that 'contains' 'id=12345'.

    When we download the Keyword Performance report using the Adcenter UI, we are getting certain keywords as Phrase match type (we also tick the keywordmatchtypeid).

    After the issues from last weekend with the API changes it seems functionality is still broken...I am unable to retrieve certain pieces of data through the adcenter API but can access is through adCenter (at adcenter.microsoft.com)

    Examples:
    1. I updated a campaign name in adcenter however the old name is still retrieved through adCenter API

    2. I added a new account and created a campaign, however I cannot access these stats through CampaignPerformanceReportRequest regardless if I specify accountId or use the global NULL variable

    Has anyone else experienced these issues?
    Does anyone have a work around?
    Does anyone from microsoft have an update on when we should expect fixes?

    I have some keywords that I wanted to move to a new ad group that I called Best Performing.  But I didn't want to lose the history of them.  So what I did is reduce my keyword bid to .05 for those words, then created my new Best Performing group, added these keywords there and then placed a bid of .39 for them in this group.
     
    What I am hoping will happen is AdCenter will use the keywords with the higher bid and basically ignore the keywords that have the lower bids.  It either that or I will just delete them out of the first group but then there goes my history...

    This should work since only one ad with a display URL from the same domain will be posted on a search engine return page (SERP). Basically, one of your ads is competing against another but one is a much weaker competitor. I can't see any obvious downside. Actually, it seems a clever workaround.

    AdCenter allows this to be done, however I don't think it is actually happening for my URL's.  Here is an example. 
     
    I have an ad campaign running for Amazing Smoothies, a product from ClickBank.com  Click Bank allows for a tracking id in their urls at the very end noted by the tid=

    In this example I have put the adgoup name in the tid so I would at least know which ad group the sale originated from, but what I really would like to do is this:

    AdCenter allows me to do this, however on a recent sale the TID at Click Bank was blank.  On sales where I have hard coded the TID with a value such as TID=Healthy-Snacks-LS25 they are coming through.  So I am wondering if this is an AdCenter issue not putting in the {keyword} param?  Now, expanding on this further I would also like to use the {querystring} param in this manner to get data on the actual query string, not just the keyword match.
     
    If this is not possible, you might want to add in some kind of restriction within the destination URL box to not allow these params to be entered there.

    Dave: I'm a bit late to this party but your question is an interesting one and it doesn't seem anyone addressed it specifically.
     
    What you're probably experiencing in the value transmitted by the {keyword} parameter or even {querystring} is the fact that these values are passed as part of a URL and the HTTP protocol doesn't allow spaces in a URL. Spaces are automatically translated into hexadecimal format so a space becomes %20. It's called URL encoding. For Clickbank or any other analytics program to understand the data being passed (keyword, querystring or whatever), it needs to URL decode the value, replacing the %20 value with an actual space.
     
    In your case, an alternative to passing the {keyword} value is the {OrderItemID} parameter. In other words, the unique ID associated with each keyword. You'll see the OrderItemID when you download your ad groups from adCenter. The OrderItemID has no spaces and shouldn't encounter the URL encode issue. You can then compare your Clickbank report against your spreadsheet to see which keyword is earning you money. You can also pass the {MatchType} parameter (c=content, e=exact, p=phrase, b=broad) so you know which match type of the keyword converted.
     
    URL encoding may - or may not - be the cause of this particular problem but it's probably the cause of similar problems and it's worth paying attention to.

    DB:2.54:Keyword Report Request Using Soap Xml From Salesforce p3


    Hi All,
    I am trying to make a SOAP request from Salesforce.com Apex code (Java like language) to get a sample keyword performance report. I am getting the Status=Bad Request, StatusCode=400 error.
    I am doing it this way because there is no readily available adCenter API examples for Salesforce. Please note that I am able to use the other adCenter REST templates successfully from Salesforce.com (GetCampaignsByAccountId etc..). But there is no REST
    template for adCenter reporting, thus I am using the approach shown in the following code.
    I am using the sample SOAP request fromWalter Poupore as a starting point:

    It appears to me that AdCenter isn't matching on the plural of a keyword.  In one of my campaigns I have created groups of keywords, and then matched them with the same words in their plural form.  Here is an example.
     
    Health Insurance Quote vs. Health Insurance Quotes
    or
    [Health Insurance Quote] vs. [Health Insurance Quotes]
     
    I did this because in my previous campaigns I noticed if I searched for the plural of a non-plural keyword I wasn't getting a hit at Live.  Now I can understand this on the exact matches.  An exact match is just that, exact.  So that one makes sense.  What about the phrase ones?  Is the logic to say if the phrase words match individually exactly then it will display, or is there some logic that says for the words in a phrase match they can have a match on a word which is or is not in it's plural form?
     
    To expand on this what about other forms of the word?  If I had the keyword phrase [Health Insurance Quote] would I get a match if someon searched on [Healthy Insurance Quote] or [Health Insurance Quoting] ??
     
    I don't think I have a real preference either way, just would like to know how it is working and what would be the best way to set up campaigns to cover both ways.

    adCenter treats all variations of a word as unique. Quotes is treated as a different keyword than quote or quoted. Google uses an approach sometimes called stemming, that is, it matches the root word. So if the keyword is quote, then it will also match quotes and quoted, etc. There are advantages for either approach. With adCenter, you can bid seperately on all variations of a word.

    Third, is there a way to give an option to have the code accurate for the schema of your site?  I am using !DOCTYPE html PUBLIC -//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd and this automated code is giving me schema invalid errors.  I am trying to eliminate all of these and have a W3C compliant site.

    Hi,

    we have defined about 60 fields for Keyword search ("Normal"). Loading the repository now takes very very long. Especially the part where it says in the Status " Loading Loading Keyword Indexes...".

    Does anyone have experience with enabling the keword search for alot of fields. Does the performance really significantly go down? I understand that MDM loads all these values into it's memory to give a quick response on keyword searches but does a repository with 20000 records really need 2 hours to be loaded just because of this feature?

    yes unfortunatly we do need all these fields. To explain why will take to much time here, but I will disable the fields for the data migration and enable them again in Productive environment.

    Hi All,I am using MSN adCenter API 5.1 's pauseKeywords ( ) API to pause a keyword. Now  when I pause my keyword and check the same at adCenter Account . Its being displayed as 'Active' .Can anyone tell here if the Keyword which is paused using the pauseKeywords API gets its status as 'Pause' or 'Active' at adCenter.For eg. I have a keyword-'car' which was active earlier and now when I pause it  using the API, its still gettting displayed as 'Active' and not 'Paused'.Thanks in advance ,Bharat Mehta

    This is a known request and is on the roadmap for a future update of adCenter. The paused keyword feature is not available in the UI with the current version. You must use the API to verify it and the engineering team recommends checking up to 4 hours after the change.

    Hi,
    Has anyone been experiencing problems downloading reports from the adCenter API Sandbox over the past few weeks?
    I haven't been able to download a report using both the VB.net and PHP examples. The report gets scheduled OK and returns an initial status of 'pending' but the next request I make returns a status of 'error'. I don't think it's a problem with the code
    I'm using because it was working previously and I even get an error when trying to run a report in the sandbox front-end.

    Hi all,
    I have been working with the Bing API and the Bulk Service for the past couple of months, so am pretty used to the xml and its structure.
    I was then working on sending Keyword updates and came across an error on adding keywords - error code 1541 on page http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/adcenter-campaign-management-error-codes.aspx which says
    You must set only one of the match-type bids (for example, ExactMatchBid) in the Keyword object to a non-null value. To specify multiple match-type bids for a keyword, you must create a Keyword object for each keyword and match type combination.
    No problem I thought, but i remember distinctly in the xml gotten from many bulkService.DownloadCampaignsByAccountIds requests, that it contained individual keywords with multiple different MatchType bids. So a keyword with a single ID could have a broadmatch
    AND an exactmatch bid.
    So i did a little research and found that the release notes for Version 8 R3 of the Bing AdCenter API (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/adcenter-overview-release-notes.aspx#v8r3) said the following ....
    Now, you must create a Keyword object for each match type that you want to bid on. For example, to bid on the keyword car by using exact match and phrase match, create a Keyword object and set the Text element to car and the ExactMatchBid element to a bid
    amount. Then, create a second Keyword object and set the Text element to car and PhraseMatchBid to a bid amount. When you add the keywords, you’ll get a unique keyword ID for each keyword and match-type combination.

    But these release notes pertain to a release from before August 2012
    And, only last week, i have seen xml from the bulk service containing Keyword elements with single Id and multiple MatchType bids.

    Can someone confirm for definite please - Is a Keyword with a single ID allowed to have multiple match types OR does each match type have to belong to a separate keyword with the same text but with a unique id

    Hi,Using v6 of the adCenter APIs, calling GetAdGroupsByIds or GetAdGroupsByCampaignId, returns expired ad groups with a status of 'Deleted'. Is this expected or an issue with the APIs?I would expect an expired ad group to keep whatever status it had when it expired. As adCenter doesn't allow you to modify a deleted ad group, but does allow updates to expired ones (after the end date has been set to a future date), we have the need to distinguish between expired and deleted ones. This is not possible with the current behavior as one never knows if the ad group is truly deleted or just expired.Would be great if someone could let me know if this is intentional behavior or not.Thanks in advanceHansHK

    Hello,
    I am a developer and I wish to use Microsoft adcenter API. I have gone through the documents provided by microsoft. From that document I understand that I need username, password, developer-token or access-key to use the API effectivly.
    Initially I hope that the adcenter will provide the develpoer token and user access key at the time of the sign up with microsoft adcenter. But while reading FAQ (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa982771.aspx) I have found a query and its answer, that is listed below.
    Can I use the Microsoft adCenter API Web service?
    Currently, the adCenter API is available only to invited customers. If you want to use the API during this period, contact a Microsoft adCenter sales representative.
    In this answer they have said something about an invitation for using API. So I am confused about getting developer-token and access-key
    I hope you response as soon as possible.

    Hi all,
    Quite a few questions from me of late as we upgrade from V8 to V9 :)
    So with Keyword Editorial Status - this documentation here,
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bing-ads-campaign-management-keywordeditorialstatus.aspx,suggests that there are only 3 possible values
    Active - The keyword passed editorial review
    Disapproved - The keyword failed editorial review
    Inactive - One or more elements of the keyword is undergoing editorial review
    However, in my bulkService csv file download i also get the status of ActiveLimited. Looking at the various docs i can see that on an AdExtension, the ActiveLimited status is applied to instances where the AdExtension is approved in some markets
    but not in others.
    2 questions then ....
    1 - is it the same for the Keyword Editorial Status?
    2 - if yes, is the Keyword actually active in the markets where it is ok, or does the keyword have to wait for complete approval before being active in all markets

    Yes ActiveLimited means the same for Keywords and Ads as with Ad Extensions. Partial approval can occur if the ad or keyword passed editorial review for at least one combination of language and publisher country, while other combinations failed. The ad or
    keyword will be active in the countries where it passed editorial review.

    Through the adCenter API am able to generate an Ad Performance report and KeywordPerformance report.

    In both of them the destination Url field exists .however im not sure that in KeywordPerformance report this field represent keyword destination Url sincei dont have destination Urls on keyword ( in UI ) and stillgetting results on this fields in KeywordPerformance
    report.

    The 'Destination URL' column in context of the keyword performance report will retrieve the destination URL for an ad and keyword combination as it was presented to the user performing the search. It will show you the destination URL of the ad that was
    used shown to the user for the keyword that was used to display the ad.
    If an advertiser is using parameter substitution, it would return the destination URL with the parameters substituted although it is not a requirement to request this column in the keyword performance report.

    To retrieve the CustomerAccountId, you could make a call to the GetAccountsInfo service operation. GetAccountsInfo only requires the UserName, Password, and DeveloperToken header elements. The resulting GetAccountsInfoResponse data object is documented here:

    The CustomerId can be programmatically retrieved by first retrieving the CustomerAccountId as described above, and then making a call to the GetAccount service operation. Within the returned Account data object, you want to get the ParentCustomerId, which

    Hi we've created a report where we've added custom fields such as 'Status' or 'Keyword', they appear under the QUERY OPTIONS section. When we apply parameters in the Keyword field with a value that is not in the Keyword field but is in the Status field, we get results.

    e.g. the status field may have a value of "Donna", but the Keyword field does not. When we put "Donna" in the Keyword field we return a record where "Donna" is found in the status field.

    Can someone explain how the parameterization works, and how to change it? Our users become disoriented with a thing like this.

    If you are using sql based reports then you can pass parameters using the bind variable, but if you are using a QBE report then you can enter values in the columns and then the query is automatically created at runtime with where clause taking the entered values.

    Hi,

    Following the API key creation we integrated Bing's API in our solution and everything has been running smoothly. But recently doing some testing for our tracking solution, I found out an issue that seems so serious that it would render our solution completely
    inoperative.

    First some background on our application. We currently use our own tracking solution
    http://tracking.opticout.com which is a simple script that takes two parameters : the keyword ID and the ad ID. It records the search and then redirect it to the merchant website. Our bid optimisation solutions is
    able to report the ROI down to the keyword and for that we need to identify, at the tracking level, the exact keyword that made the click whereas broad, exact or phrase.

    As you know Bing doesn't differentiate keyword with their type so a keyword will have the same id for its broad, exact and phrase declinations. In our database all 3 keywords are differentiated and have their own ID but share the same bing ID. To be
    able to report statistics for the correct keyword declination I added the MatchType in the link to be :
    http://tracking.opticout.com/?kw={OrderItemId}-{MatchType}ad={AdId} and changed our tracking to be able to identify the keyword from its ID match type.

    This was fine but during my tests I found some rather disturbing results. Take the following two keywords :

    That you can find them in the following :

    If it's
    http://www.comparatif-cybermarche.com/?clickref=M-comparatif%20cybermarchekw=3634634166-ead=506878178 then it's working correctly this keyword is indeed the exact match of what we search for
    If it's
    http://www.comparatif-cybermarche.com/?clickref=M-comparatif%20cybermarchekw=3634634662-ead=506878178 then there is an issue. I understand that the variation of the dash - to space could be interpreted as a broad match but how come the MatchType
    is reporting e which means Exact match ? Also the {keyword} reported is comparatif%20cybermarche, for those who don't know %20 is space encoded for URLs. So the id reported doesn't correspond at all to the keyword.

    To reproduce the issue you may have to refresh your bing search and try the link several time. For us it means that we can not rely on the dynamic parameters to uniquely identify a keyword and that we can not integrate the Bing API in our software. We need
    this identification to be reliable.

    Unfortunately I am away on a business trip from tomorrow, but my colleagues (Thomas and Romain) in copy will continue investigating with you and I will have access to my email next week.

    Hi,

    With regards to the email announcement just now - adCenter API code updates needed: Prepare for URL by Match Type - will this affect v7 users as well as v8 users? This is a huge change for us and I have to say I'm shocked if adCenter goes ahead with this
    in the middle of a release, breaking existing code. July 1st is only1.5 months a way and that is not enough time. We will have to redo a ton of code and in my mind, it's totally unacceptable to implementa change like thisin the middle of existing releases.
    It should've been slated for a yet unreleased version, v9 I assume.
    We have a number of other unrelated software projects scheduled for the next 2 months and might have to shut downour adCenter support for a large number of customers on July 1st :-(

    I used KeywordPerformanceReportRequest Adcenter API request which returned keyword stats only for keyword in my account,compain or Ad group.

    But my requirement is to get keyword stats (monthly yahoo searches and monthly bing searches).This keyword is global means does not exists in my account,compain or group.

    Can you please tell me how i can achieve this by using Ad center API?

    I need to just provide my keyword and marketing area in API request and it should return monthly searches for this specific keyword on yahoo and bing search engines.
